Oceňování ocelových konstrukcí / Valuation of Steel Construction.

Charvát, Lukáš January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis mainly deals with valuation of steel structures from the perspective of an investor. Today there are several types of steel constructions, which assemble is partly done in workshop, so called “bridge-workshop”, and the rest of the assembling is done directly at the building site. That is the main difference from the construction industry. This fact makes financial valuation of whole thesis very difficult, because construction companies often do not state detailed breakdown of their activities. The main goal of this thesis is to suggest procedure how to value steel constructions in a phase of documentation processing, workshop production, transportation and technological equipment construction at the site.

Srovnání nákladů rodinných domů s nosnou konstrukcí z tenkostěnných ocelových profilů / Cost comparison of family houses with structures of thin-walled steel profiles

Pozděnová, Barbora January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to find the best option of the building technology for a house. The thesis is divided into two sections – theoretical and practical. The theoretical section consists of three parts. The first part deals with theory of costs and pricing. Second part specifies types of the budgeting used in Czech Republic and the last part is focused on description of the selected construction systems used for building a house. Second section deals with description and the layout of the house, for which three budgets are set with a respect to the used option of the construction system. Furthermore, a comparison of the technical parameters as well as the costs analysis according to the TSKP is made. Finally, the optimal variant is selected with respect to the price and technical properties.

Detekce a laboratorní kontrola úniků nebezpečných chemických látek do životního prostředí s nutností výjezdu chemické laboratoře HZS / Detection and Laboratory Assessment of Releases of Hazardous Chemical Substances into the Environment Requiring Fire Brigade Chemical Lab Call-out

Holánová, Iveta January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on a detection and a laboratory control of hazardous substances’ leak into the environment. These hazardous substances are classified. Further, it aims to chemical laboratories of the fire-brigade of the Czech Republic, as well as which place they hold in the fire-brigade system, and it indicates their main duties. This diploma thesis contains a review of some essential types of devices and mediums, which are in terms of the fire-brigade of the Czech Republic usable to practice the detection, determination and assessment of the hazardous substances in various figures of the environment in terrain, i.e. filling of duties of the chemical survey. The output of this diploma thesis is simulation of leaks of the toluene diisocyanate using ALOHA software, TerEx software and Rozex Alarm software. Further on, the proposal of another methodical sheet focused on leak actions of the concrete hazardous industrial substance – toluene diisocyanate. This methodical sheet could therefore broaden pro tempore elaborated sheets for chlorine and ammonia.

Comprendre et prévenir l’erreur récurrente dans les processus de décision stratégique : l’apport de la Behavioral Strategy / Understanding and preventing recurring errors in strategic decision processes : a Behavioral Strategy approach

Sibony, Olivier 14 December 2017 (has links)
Many types of strategic decisions result in recurring, systematic errors. Extant theories of organizations are insufficient to account for this phenomenon. Behavioral Strategy suggests that an explanation may be found in the psychology of decision makers, and particularly in their cognitive biases. This, however, calls for a link between individual-level cognition and affects, and organization-level choices. We propose “Strategic Choice Routines” as a middle level of analysis to bridge this gap, and identify three broad types of Strategic Choice Routines. This leads us to formulate hypotheses on how Strategic Choice Routines can be modified to minimize strategic errors. We illustrate these hypotheses through case studies; test some of them quantitatively; and analyze preferences that drive their adoption by executives. Finally, we discuss theoretical and managerial implications.

Sandner, Margit 13 January 2012 (has links)

Postpartum depression and maternal adjustment: An investigation into some risk factors

Hargovan, Dhaksha C. January 1994 (has links)
Magister Psychologiae - MPsych / The aim of the present study was to determine whether it was possible to identify changes in levels of postpartum depression and maternal adjustment and attitude in primiparae before and after birth. It aimed, furthermore, at assessing certain risk factors that could provide an understanding of the etiological factors (causes, determinants) influencing postpartum levels of depression and maternal adjustment and attitude. The study focused on risk factors among married and unmarried primiparae (first time mothers), with a view to establishing vulnerability profiles of the respective groups. The specific risk factors that formed part of the investigation were social support, personality (neuroticism) and life events. All the subjects investigated were recruited from the Mitchells Plain Maternity and Obstetrics Unit. A sample of 70 subjects, in the third trimester of pregnancy, voluntarily participated in the first part of this study. Of these, 26 belonged to the married group and 44 belonged to the unmarried group. As a result of the attrition factor, 57 subjects constituted the final sample for analysis. The final sample comprised 20 married and 37 unmarried subjects. Subjects were followed up four to eight weeks postpartum. Results revealed that there were no significant changes in levels of depression between the married and unmarried groups, either before or after delivery. Of significance was that with the event of birth, the depression scores amongst women rated high in neuroticism decreased significantly. Married women with high social support satisfaction scores were found to have low depression scores. Similarly, married women who experienced fewer negative life events had lower levels of depression than did the unmarried women who experienced fewer negative life events. The maternal adjustment and attitude scores did not change before or after birth, except in the married group. The married group showed a significant increase in scores on the maternal adjustment and attitude scores after the birth of the child. Regarding personality (neuroticism), the high neuroticism scorers had significantly lower maternal adjustment and attitude than did the low neuroticism scorers. As was the case with social support and depression, married women with high social support had a higher maternal adjustment and attitude. A significant effect of negative life events on maternal adjustment and attitude was only found for the married women (after delivery) who experienced a low number of life events. A stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed, in order to yield a model in which the depression and maternal adjustment and attitude scores would be predicted by risk factors. The finding of this analysis for both depression and maternal attitude and adjustment was not significant. Social Identity theory was suggested as a possible interpretation of these results. Future research which views social identity as a factor in understanding postpartum depression and maternal adjustment and attitude has been proposed .

[en] INTERFERENCE MITIGATION SCHEMES FOR THE UPLINK OF MASSIVE MIMO IN 5G HETEROGENEOUS CELLULAR NETWORKS / [pt] MITIGAÇÃO DE INTERFERÊNCIAS EM SISTEMAS MIMO MASSIVO OPERANDO EM REDES HETEROGÊNEAS DE QUINTA GERAÇÃO (5G)

JOSE LEONEL AREVALO GARCIA 15 August 2016 (has links)
[en] In the first part of this thesis, we introduce two list detection schemes for the uplink scenario of multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MUMIMO) systems. The proposed techniques employ a single lattice reduction (LR) transformation to modify the channel matrix between the users and the base station (BS). After the LR transformation, a reliable candidate for the transmitted signal vector, provided by successive interference cancellation (SIC) detection is obtained. In the proposed multi-branch lattice reduction SIC (MB-LR-SIC) detector, a fixed number of different orderings, generates a list of SIC detection candidates. The best candidate is chosen according to the maximum likelihood (ML) selection criterion. For the proposed variable list detection (VLD) scheme, an algorithm to decide if the current candidate has good quality or if it is necessary to further explore different orderings to improve the detection performance is employed. Simulation results indicate that the proposed schemes have a near-optimal performance while keeping its computational complexity well below that of the ML detector. An iterative detection and decoding (IDD) scheme based on the VLD algorithm is also developed, producing an excellent performance that approaches the single user (SU) scenario. In the second part of this thesis, a decoupled signal detection (DSD) technique which allows the separation of uplink signals, for each user class, at the base station (BS) for massive MIMO systems is proposed. The proposed DSD allows to implement the detection procedures proposed in the first part of this thesis in massive MIMO scenarios. A mathematical signal model for massive MIMO systems with centralized and distributed antennas in the future fifth generation (5G) heterogeneous cellular networks is also developed. A sum-rate analysis and a study of computational cost for DSD are also presented. Simulation results show excellent performance of the proposed DSD algorithm when combined with linear and SIC-based detectors.

Toijanen, Annika January 2021 (has links)

Computation as Strange Material : Excursions into Critical Accidents

Lagerkvist, Love January 2021 (has links)
Waking up in a world where everyone carries a miniature supercomputer, interaction designers find themselves in their forerunners dreams. Faced with the reality of planetary-scale we have to confront the task of articulating approaches responsive this accidental ubiquity of computation. This thesis attempts such a formulation by defining computation as a strange material, a plasticity shaped equally by its technical properties and the mode of production by which is its continuously re-produced. The definition is applied through a methodology of excursions — participatory explorations into two seemingly disparate sites of computation, connected in they ways they manifest a labor of care. First, we visit the social infrastructures that constitute the Linux kernel, examining strangle entanglements of programming and care in the world's largest design process. This is followed by a tour into the thorny lands of artificial intelligence, situated in the smart replies of LinkedIn. Here, we investigate the fluctuating border between the artificial and the human with participants performing AI, formulating new Turing tests in the process. These excursions afford an understanding of computation as fundamentally re-produced through interaction, a strange kind of affective work the understanding of which is crucial if we ambition to disarm the critical accidents of our present future.
