Činnost nevládních neziskových organizací v oblasti předškolního vzdělávání pro sociálně znevýhodněné a jejich role v inkluzi romských dětí / The Activities of Nongovernmental Organizations in the Field of Preschool Education for Socially Disadvantaged and their Role in the Inclusion of Roma Children

Kozáková, Aneta January 2019 (has links)

Another issues to combines with is civil society, both in terms of its organized form - non-profit organizations so from the point of view of its subjectively perceived component so-called civility. In the theoretical part are presented the knowledge from these areas needed to understand the problems and to place the research part in the context. The methodological part of the thesis monitors the activities of non-profit organizations dealing with pre-school preparation of children from socially disadvantaged environment, their relationships and cooperation with state institutions, their role in the education process and factors contributing to the fact that these children are to a great extent provided with pre-school education by civil society organizations. One of the research questions concerns the role of these non-profit organizations in the inclusion of Roma children in the elementary school system.

Klánová, Renata January 2019 (has links)
The submitted thesis focuses on the cooperation of the state and non-governmental non-profit organizations in fighting labour exploitation in the Czech Republic. It is one of the most frequent forms of the human trafficking in the CR. The thesis is based on several theories and concepts, such as the actor - network theory, the institutional theory, the Four "C" theory, the NNO theory or the dignified work concept. The thesis analyses the concept of the policy on labour exploitation in the Czech Republic with a focus on the cooperation of main actors from state and non-profit sectors in fighting labour exploitation and proposes how to improve this cooperation. The thesis defines different relevant terms as well as the term "labour exploitation". It also presents statistical data concerning this phenomenon. An analysis of policy documents on a transnational and national level is used to analyse the policy concept. The thesis also works with a quick analysis of actors and semi-structured interviews with eight experts from public and non-profit sector - specifically with employees of the Asylum and Migration Policy Department of the Ministry of the Interior, the Crime Prevention Department, the State Labour Inspection Office and with social workers of the non-profit organizations La Strada and...

Strelnikova, Olga January 2021 (has links)
In our society, volunteering is often considered something special, something that one simply does or does not. This misconception is partly due to a lack of knowledge and interest in this type of activity. Nevertheless, volunteering has always been and will remain a central part of the development and functioning of society. In practice, we see that the most common form of non-profit work is the ability of people to organize at the local level (usually in an association) to solve specific local problems. Civil society always has different non-profit organizations. Nonprofit forces can do what the government or corporations cannot (do not want). Citizens can play an important role in helping victims in various crisis situations and can also be of great help to the authorities.  But the volunteers work is not always well documented. To get a complete picture of all participants and their involvement in emergencies, registry management must consider its diversity. ISO 15489-1:2016, an international standard for document management, describes that systematic document management is important for both organizations and society in protecting and maintaining reliable records, primarily as evidence that actions have been implemented and, secondly, to support future actions and solutions.  This study examines issues related to such a rather problematic moment in nonprofits resolution of a crisis as documenting the work of their members/participants. With the help of two non-profit organizations (Missing People Sweden and Swedish Red Cross), the measures taken by organizations to solve this problem are considered and analyzed - how to document the work of volunteers, how this documentation will be saved/ archived for future use. Interviews were conducted with the organizations, which formed the basis for conclusions on the current situation. Document theory and the Records continuum model were taken as a theoretical basis for the thesis. An instrumental case study is used as a research method, based on studies of available literature and scientific research, and conducting qualitative interviews. It also discusses how organizations as a whole handle the issue of information and document management in their organizations.  As the study shows, both organizations document the work of the members/participants that reflects this activity in the final reports on the work performed. All this documentation is usually stored only in electronic form and stored/archived on servers. On the issue of document management in general, organizations have completely different approaches to this issue.

Critical Success Factors of Non-Profit Organizations Development-The Case Studies of Five Women Groups in Taiwan

Chen, Wan Hui Unknown Date (has links)
Research shows that there are key factors contributing to “success” that are common across industries. This study investigated the key to success of Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) and their developments through in-depth interviews with NPO leaders. These findings can serve as developmental key learnings for other, resource-limited NPO’s, allowing them to more effectively harness available resources, thus reducing wastage due to trial and error. This research paper endeavors to organize these Critical Success Factors into easily accessible best-of-practice case studies for up-and-coming NPO’s. For the purposes of this study, the author selected five Non-Profit Women’s Associations with a least ten years of successful operations. Research methodology was depth interviews combined with Critical Incident Technique (CIT). Three main constructs were used in this process including: The mission of NPOs, NPO participants and NPO operations. This study identifies and organizes “Critical Success Factors” that all successful Non-Profit Organizations should own. The Critical Success Factors of A Successful NPO Are: 1.Well defined missions. 2.Strong Personnel/Membership Structure: a.Members of the organization will have: i.self-motivated; identification to organization missions ii.A high degree of enthusiasm iii.The ability to execute the organization directives b.A successful NPO will have Leadership with the following characteristics/skill sets: i.The spiritual leader of an NPO with an unchanging sense of mission, a strong and insight. ii.The ability to continually learn and apply those learnings to the organization. iii.A mutually supporting team that divides work up equally. 3.Strong Operations: a.Organization culture: Equal, open, focused on learning and vigorous. b.Externally it will be able to: i.Clearly articulate organizational goals and objectives ii.Create sufficient exposure to create positive awareness and opinion within society c.Internally it will be able to: i.Create “esprit-de-corps” within organization ii.Empower stake-holders to leverage their strengths d.Continual review of social changes and the adjustment of old services or the introduction of new services to meet social needs. e.Creative and flexible strategies and the ability to integrate various resources to exert influence. A successful NPO needs to accomplish the initial Mission. In order to achieve this, it is recommended that the NPO leadership continually review whether or not the organization is achieving the objectives for which it was established and conduct self-evaluation and self-improvement. The NPO also needs to be in tune with developments and trends in the society it is operating in. By making the information gleaned open and available to all members of the organization, the leadership can empower its members and contribute to a common sense of purpose, helping it achieve the maximum efficiencies and success.
