IKT I fritidshem: möjligheter och svårigheter : En kvalitativ studie om fritidspedagogers uppfattningar om möjligheter och svårigheter med IKT i fritidshemmet / ICT in afterschool programs: potentials and problems : A qualitative study of afterschool teachers' perception of potentials and problems with  ICT in the afterschool programs.

Ghannam, Marwan January 2018 (has links)

Nilsson, Julia January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this study was to examine pre-school teachers' experiences of how and for what purpose children at preschool Ljusstaden in Kalmar, use the tablet. The study also examined the teachers' views on the tool in that context. From a media and communication research perspective, the purpose with this study was to increase greater knowledge and understanding of children's use of the tablet in preschool in Kalmar. I chose to performe a qualitative study by conducting semistructured interviews with seven pre-school teachers at the preschool, Ljusstaden in Kalmar. The results of this study showed that it was common for the children to use the tablet in the preschool to take pictures and film and watch it afterwards and that the usage-time varied. I found that the teachers felt that the primary purpose was to follow the digital development and prepare the children for the future. I also discovered that the teachers wanted the children to continue using the tablet in the preschool Ljusstaden. In the future, the teachers wanted more education about how children can use the tablet in the best possible way.

Jonsson, Mårten January 2012 (has links)
The development of human-computer interaction (HCI) systems, usable by people withvisual impairments is a progressing field of research. Similarly, the creation of audio-onlygames and digital tools has been investigated somewhat thoroughly, with many interestingresults. This thesis aims to combine the two fields in the creation of an audio-only digital tool, aimed at aiding visually impaired persons to navigate unknown areas. This is done by lookingat the field of HCI systems, and games for blind, and by looking at the concept of mentalmaps and spatial orientation within cognitive science. An application is created, evaluatedand tested based on a set number of criteria. An experiment is performed and the results areevaluated and compared to another digital tool in order to learn more about how to increasethe usability and functionality of digital tools for the visually impaired. The results give astrong indication towards how to best proceed with future research.

The tablet in preschool : Preschool teachers' view of tablet as an educational tool in preschool activities.

Andersson, Johanna, Hallqvist, Amanda January 2017 (has links)

Bjerregaard, My, Andersson, Elinh January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this study is to increase the understanding of digitization in school. More specifically it investigates the use of digital tools implemented in teaching activities. The study also aims to find out what opportunities digital use gives rise to in the role of primary school teachers and how digital progress has influenced the professional role. The three formulated questions that characterize the study are; “How do primary school teachers use digital tools in their professional activities?”, “To what extent do primary school teachers use digital tools in their professional activities?”, “What possible and changed ways of working have digital tools given rise in the professional education of primary school teachers?”. The empirical study is based on 63 questionnaires completed by primary school teachers in Uppsala County, which is the selection for this study. The theoretical framework consists of Engeströms activity theory, which is based on the socio-cultural perspective of learning founded by Vygotskij. The study is also based on previous research concerning the digitization of schools, including the digital tools as aids and digital literacy.   The result shows that the digital tools characterize the profession as a primary school teacher and that these tools have come to play a major role in teaching. The digital tools are used to a very large extent every day and have brought in many opportunities and also contributed to changed working methods in school. The result also shows that the digital tools can have negative effects, but most of the digital tools are seen as an asset.

Gomes, Rafael de Jesus 17 August 2015 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This dissertation aims to understand what is the role that journalists attribute to mobile devices in their production routines. The role of the professional in contemporary journalism field experiments the inclusion of digital technologies to the news production. A possible feature that can be considered is the mobility (SILVA, 2008), allowing the professional the possibility to carry its device to the information production. Among the Technologies, stands out the tablet. According to Canavilhas (2012), it is a tool that provides the journalist the possibility of narratives construction that, currently, it's updating the journalism language, becoming the position of the new Swiss Army Knife (JENKINS, 2008). To the radio, the addition of this tools also expands its mains features and allows to think of a radio that it is now expanded (KISCHINHEVSKY, 2011) in multiple plataforms, digital social networks and applicatives. Considering that the technologies and mobile devices updates the process of production of news, and the content consumption, this scenario is only possible from the influence of the convergence at the newsroom, this work aims to discuss how, actually, this devices are being used to the productions of news by the professionals and recognize the potentialities that it can be offered and used by the journalists. Therefore, this work seeks to understand how journalists use this tools in their work and how it reflects the news production in a radio station. As a research subject, it is chosen the Radio Independente 950 AM, from Lajeado/RS. As a methodological procedure, it was made a literature review about the following themes: radio, the convergence, professional culture, and the digital features to the news production. The collect tools used on this research was the observation and interviews. The interviews were the main tool and it was collected eleven statements with the newsroom professionals, production, web department and administrative department of the radio, as well as the observation of the routine productions in the radio.

Svårigheter i matematikundervisningens digitalisering : En enkätstudie om lärares inställning till digitala verktyg / Difficulties in the digitalization of mathematics education : A survey study on the attitude of teachers towards digital tools

Larsson, Hanna January 2020 (has links)
Both society and school are becoming increasingly digitalized. The access to digital tools has increased, but their use has not increased as much. There are differences in the use in different subjects and mathematics is one of the subjects with the lowest use of digital tools.   The purpose of the study was to find out what difficulties teachers experience regarding the digitization of mathematics education. In the study, 81 teachers who teach mathematics in grades 4–6 responded to a survey about challenges and obstacles in the digitization of mathematics education.   The result shows that the attitude towards using digital tools in mathematics education is positive among teachers, but that there are also difficulties in using digital tools in mathematics education. The most obvious difficulties are malfunctioning digital tools, distractions in the form of social media and games, lack of time for planning and difficulties in finding suitable apps and programs.

The principals' view of digital competence : A qualitative study of how principals work with preschool teachers' digital competence.

Olsson, Jenny January 2021 (has links)

English teaching and the use of ICT : English teacher's experiences of the use of ICT during the corona pandemic

Brown, Joy January 2020 (has links)
Despite teachers already using Information and Communications Technology as a tool in their English teaching, the corona pandemic and the subsequent transition to online teaching presented teachers with the challenge of using ICT for all of their teaching. Teaching a language which is not the students’ mother tongue makes online teaching an even greater challenge. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to increase the knowledge surrounding the use of ICT in online English teaching in an effort to support teachers in the future. The experiences of ten English teachers were obtained through the use of semi-structured interviews. A thematic analysis revealed a mixture of positive and negative experiences from the teachers, in terms of personal feelings, the actual process of online teaching and professional competence. The need for extra support for teachers in various areas of online teaching is discussed. Further research is needed to provide more detailed information in order to learn how teachers can be better supported in their role as an online educator, or in the use of ICT in a physical classroom.

A Study Investigating the Experience of Teachers’ Innovative Adaptation of Teaching and Learning

Lowery, Andrea 01 December 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to identify and examine the technology-based instructional strategies and digital tools being used by teachers in grades 3-5 that engage children in problem-solving learning opportunities. The study included 11 purposely sampled participants from a school district in East Tennessee who responded to questions during a Zoom interview. Seven of the participants submitted artifacts to provide examples of how they have incorporated technology and problem solving in their classrooms. Participants provided information about the digital tools and technology-based instructional strategies they have used to enrich problem solving in their classrooms. Participants in the study communicated using group work as a primary instructional strategy when integrating technology to enrich problem solving. The participants discussed student engagement, creativity, real-world connections, and technology exposure for students when sharing their perceptions about how digital tools can enhance problem solving. When explaining how technology integration has adapted their curriculum, they shared how they use technology to provide quick feedback and differentiation. The researcher used Magana’s (2017) T3 Framework to code each example of technology as a translational, transformational, or transcendent use of technology and shared some examples of each.
