Man är en vanemänniska… : en studie av det IT-baserade planeringssystemet Lapscare inom den offentliga hemtjäns-ten.

Tjärnmo, Maria, Björcke, Maria January 2008 (has links)

Kommunikation om psykosocial arbetsmiljö : Sjuksköterskors upplevelser av kommunikationsklimatet i relation till den psykosociala arbetsmiljön / Communication of psychosocial work environment : Nurses' experiences of the communication climate in relation to the psychosocial work environment

Liebig, Caroline January 2018 (has links)
This paper examines the role and function of the communication climate in relation to the internal communication of the psychosocial work environment, using field data from the health sector. A qualitative study using Skype interviews was conducted with three nurses with experiences from public hospitals in the south western region of Sweden. The results are presented using a framework of supportive and defensive communication climates by Forward, Czech and Lee (2011) based on Gibbs theories (1961). The analysis of the results is based on the concept of coworkership (Heide & Simonsson 2011) and the rationality of caring (Forsberg Kankkunen 2009; Waerness 1984). The results show that nurses experience both supportive and defensive communication climates in relation to their psychosocial work environment. The most supportive communication occurs between colleagues, while the communication with the strategic management is defensive. Depending on the closest manager's ability to act as support and convey understanding between management and employees, the communication climate is perceived as more or less supportive. The result indicates that when the management lacks adequate communication, employees will take fewer initiatives to talk about their psychosocial work environment with the management. The findings from the field data suggest that the communication climate can be understood as an important resource for creating conditions for supportive communication of psychosocial work environment between different organizational levels.

Gå in och ut och vända "ut och in" : En kvalitativ studie om hur omsorgspersonal inom hemtjänsten arbetar för att de äldre ska få ett värdigt liv / Go In and Out and Turn Inside Out : A Qualitative Study Regarding How Professional Caregivers in Homecare Organisations Work to Insure a Life with Dignity for the Elderly

Josefsson Särner, Catharina, Halén, Johanna January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge about if and how the National Value System’s goal of a life with dignity for the elderly pervades the work in home care organisations. The study was based on a qualitative research method and was conducted through interviews with professional care givers in home care organisations, there were five individual interviews and one pair interview. The background for this study was the National Value System for the eldercare that was introduced in 2011. The theory of New Public Management and the concept of Rationality of Caring were used to analyse the result. New Public Management introduces a strategy of competition tendering by signing deals with the company that give the best offer, in order to increase the quality and efficiency of organisations. An important part of New Public Management is that the leaders in organisations have control of what is happening in the organisation in order to further increase the quality and efficiency. The Rationality of Caring is about having the care recipients’ needs and wishes as a primary force of action. The study shows that professional care givers work in a way that promotes a life with dignity for the elderly and that they act with a rationality of caring, but the rationality that rules the organisations in which they work precludes their way of working. The Politicians definition of rationality, which is about the efficiency and quality that can be measured, is the one that is prioritized. It also shows that the organisation priorities small time-consumption and standardized services in order to increase the efficiency. It is found that the professional caregivers perceive that the demand for documentation and other administrative tasks has increased and as a result of this the elderly does not receive the time they have been granted.

Det basala bemötandet är det vitala

Plathin Rosvall, Maria January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this study was to depict care personnel’s perception of social treatment in care relations. Another aim was to bring forth what the personnel acknowledge as important factors to reach a goal of good encounters with the elderly. Through interviews with five care assistants working at the same nursing home, three different themes were formulated in order to answer the study questions. The themes were Concerning treatment, Organized care, and Personnel force. The personnel described the social treatment as something else than just being friendly and polite when approaching the elderly. They meant that the importance was lying in the energy and the feeling you convey everyday when coming in to the ward in the beginning of the shift. Organizational issues, however, were perceived as hinders for the personnel to always be able to accomplish a desirable encounter in care relations. The most important factor that improved the conditions for a positive social treatment in care relations was the team of colleagues. Within the team they had the opportunity to reflect over work, issues, the social treatments and other problems, and also learn from each other. The most important issue that the interviewed persons emphasized is that it is not about being friendly and polite when approaching care takers. It is about being percipient and able to create a positive energy around yourself and others.Nyckelord: Bemötande, omsorgspersonal, social omsorg, äldreboende, äldreomsorg

Genuspedagogers berättelser om makt och kontroll

Arvidson, Catarina January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis 14 gender pedagogues’ stories about power and control are described and analysed. Here the term gender pedagogue refers to educators who have participated in further training in gender and gender equality studies. The training programme was the result of an initiative taken by the former Social Democratic government. The intention of the government was that those who participated in the training programme would then work as resource persons in the work for gender equality in preschools and schools (Frånberg, 2010; Regeringen, 2001a, 2001b; Wahlgren, 2009). The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the gender pedagogues’ access to power and control in work for change. The theoretical framework chosen for the study consists of Basil Bernsteins concepts classification and framing (Bernstein, 1977, 2000) and Hildur Ve’s (1999a, 1999b) use of the concepts technical limited rationality and care work rationality. The empirical evidence is based on observations in a seminar series on gender issues and semi-structured interviews. The results of the interviews are presented as stories which have been created in the interplay between the gender pedagogues and the interviewer. One conclusion that can be drawn from the stories is that power relations and gender patterns on many different levels influenced the possibilities of the gender pedagogues for power and control. Power and control in the relation between technical limited rationality and care work rationality is expressed in different ways. It is seen in the possibilities and descriptions of resistance and difficulties. Resistance and difficulties depended, according to the gender pedagogues, on the differences between their own view of knowledge and that of others. If gender and gender equality was not considered to be an important area of knowledge, possibilities for power and control decreased.
