本研究旨在研究台灣企業如何由製造代工（OEM）/設計委託（ODM）代工階段走上自創品牌，以本研究架構為分析基礎，探討不同產業下自創品牌成功企業之案例，進而發現或歸納影響其自創品牌成功之主要因素為何，提供給目前身處於OEM或ODM企業在有心轉往自有品牌發展時，在擬訂未來經營策略時，能有所依循方向。 本研究以定性方法進行個案研究分析，透過次級資料的整理與個案訪談完成撰寫內容，個案訪談公司共計兩家，依序為法藍瓷與宏達電。依據文獻探討與個案訪談結果，整理出四項研究分析構面，解構個案公司自創品牌成功之影響因素，此四構面為產業環境、營運範疇、事業網路與核心資源，透過四構面的整理分析，能有助於外界對於企業自創品牌決策背後之組織核心能耐，能有著更深入的瞭解。 本研究發現成功企業於自創品牌之歷程中，共同存在著某些影響因素，有心自創品牌之企業可參照下述要項進行衡量： 一、分析產業之特性並隨時衡量企業所處產業價值鏈之位置 二、描繪自身產業網路進而分析自身事業網路之優劣 三、與產業內關鍵事業夥伴結盟與合作，建構專屬核心資源 四、積極延伸企業價值活動組合之服務，如往上游研發設計或下游行銷通路 五、衡量企業代工產品於市場上競爭強度如何，例如藉由在指標性市場之銷售量分析 / The goal of this research is to study how corporations in Taiwan transform original equipment manufacturer (OEM) / original design manufacturer (ODM) into the development of their own brands. In this thesis, the research approach is to analyze and discuss successful cases in different industry sectors and evaluate the critical factors that contribute to the successes. The results can serve as a strategic guideline for companies that are seeking to develop new and innovative brands. In this research, qualitative approaches are applied to case examinations through secondary data analysis and case interviews. There are two companies in the case study: Franz and hTC. The results are organized into four categories corresponding to four major contributing factors for brand value development. These factors include industry environment, business scope, relationship network, and core resources. Through the analysis of these four categories, the logistics for success in brand development can be well understood. During the study, it is shown that there are common points which influence whether the corporations can overcome challenges involved in brand development. The intended managers can refer to the following points as guidelines: 1.Analyze the industry trait and evaluate the company’s positioning in the value chain constantly. 2.Describe its own industry network and analyze the strengths and weaknesses 3.Develop strategy alliances and cooperate with key players in the industry; build and acquire specific core resources 4.Progressively make decisions based on successes from other companies such as backward integration toward research& development, or forward integration toward marketing distribution 5.Evaluate the competitive strength of the contract manufacturing products on the market by analyzing the sales figures of the key-index markets.

Bakgrund: Patienter med bipolär sjukdom drabbas i högre grad än övriga befolkningen av metabolt syndrom och metabol kartläggning med tillhörande hälsosamtal genomförs för att minska denna risk. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa erfarenheter hos patienter med bipolär sjukdom beträffande hälsosamtal och dess betydelse för välbefinnandet i samband med metabol kartläggning. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en intervjustudie med 8 respondenter och materialet bearbetades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet visar att hälsosamtal i samband med metabol kartläggning skapar trygghet på olika sätt där den fysiska och psykiska hälsan beaktas samtidigt vilket får betydelse för välbefinnandet. Det är betydelsefullt att de egna behoven tillgodoses och medvetenhet och kunskap om livsstilens betydelse för hälsan finns hos patienterna. Två tema framträdde genom analysen: De individuella behoven uppmärksammas och kunskap ger ökad medvetenhet. Slutsats: Fokus bör inriktas på att stärka tryggheten som hälsosamtal i samband med metabol kartläggning medför samt beakta varje enskild patients behov och egen kunskap för att med respekt kunna främja och stärka hälsoprocessen mot välbefinnande. Den breda kunskap som patienterna besitter bör litas till för att tillsammans kunna arbeta mot en mer hälsosam livsstil och på så sätt främja både det fysiska och psykiska välbefinnandet. / Background: Individuals with bipolar disorder are more likely than others to be affected by metabolic syndrome which is why monitoring for metabolic anomalies and health conversations is part of treatment and can reduce the risk. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to shed light on experiences of the health conversation and its meaning for the wellbeing for individuals with bipolar disorder as part of the metabolic monitoring. Method: The study was conducted as a qualitative study with 8 individuals taking part in interviews and qualitative content analysis was used to process the data. Results: The results show that health conversations as part of metabolic monitoring can provide a sense of security taking into account both the physical and mental health which proves to be meaningful to the sense of wellbeing. To accommodate individual needs proves to be important and meaningful and individuals with bipolar disorder have both awareness and knowledge concerning the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Two themes emerged from the analysis: Highlighting individual needs and Knowledge increases awareness. Conclusion: Focus should be on strengthening the sense of security contributed by metabolic monitoring and health conversations and taking into account the needs and knowledge of each individual and with respect encourage and strengthen the experience of health and wellbeing. We need to put trust into the patients’ ability and knowledge and work together towards a healthier lifestyle thus supporting both the physical and mental wellbeing.

La forte augmentation, depuis la fin des années 1980, des trafics transportés par les prestataires de transport (transport pour compte d'autrui) s'est traduite par une diminution de la part relative de ceux organisés par les chargeurs eux-mêmes (transport pour compte propre). Il reste cependant une part significative d'utilisateurs du transport pour compte propre. A la différence des travaux précédemment menés, cette thèse vise à étayer l'analyse de la dimension économique de l'évolution du transport pour compte propre en prenant en compte également les dimensions géographiques, sociales et juridiques. Pour appréhender les flux de transport, il s'avère nécessaire d'entreprendre une analyse des systèmes de production et de distribution et notamment les pratiques des acteurs afin de comprendre l'ensemble des mécanismes du choix modal. Cette thèse souligne l'importance de prendre en compte la dimension territoriale dans la prise de décision des entreprises.L'étude des caractéristiques de production et des organisations de transport a été permise par l'analyse quantitative des enquêtes chargeurs réalisées par l'INRETS en 1988 et 2004. La méthode qualitative a également été adoptée, en effet, des entretiens ont été réalisés auprès de responsables de transport chez les chargeurs afin de mieux saisir les conditions d'utilisation du transport pour compte propre. / The large increase, since the late 1980's, in freight carried by transport providers (for-hire transport) resulted in a decrease in the share of that handled by shippers themselves (own account transport). However, there remains a significant proportion of users of transport on own account. Unlike previous work, this thesis aims to support the analysis of the economic dimension of own account transport, taking into account also the geographical, social and legal dimensions. To understand transport flows, it is necessary to undertake an analysis of the production and distribution systems, in particular the practices of actors, to understand all the mechanisms of modal choice. This thesis underlines the importance of taking into account the territorial dimension in firms' decision-making. The study of production characteristics and of transportation systems was carried out by means of a quantitative analysis of Shippers' surveys conducted by INRETS in 1988 and 2004. A qualitative approach was also adopted: interviews were conducted with transport managers of shippers to better understand the conditions for use of own-account transport.

Acquisition of shares by employees of a joint stock company This master thesis analyses the regulation of acquisition of shares by employees of a joint stock company. The purpose of this study is to introduce in detail the grounds for individual methods by which joint stock companies can in accordance with Business Corporations Act allow their employees to acquire their shares under preferential terms and to point out provisions, where Czech legislation may not be in accordance with requirements of European legislation, in case such provisions would be identified. The legal regulation is interpreted via descriptive and analytical methods. Except for the introductory part and the conclusion, the thesis is systematically divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with acquisition of own shares, as it bases a condition for one the methods by which employees of the joint stock companies may acquire shares of these companies under preferential conditions. Acquisition of own shares can have significant impact on some of the basic principles of European joint stock companies' regulation. Syftet med studien är att undersöka boendes egna upplevelser av att bo i Tjärna ängar och undersöka vilka föreställningar de har om hur utomstående ser på bostadsområdet för att se om dessa föreställningar påverkar de boende. Studien är en kvalitativ undersökning där semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts. Materialet har analyserats utifrån tre olika tolkningsramar, territoriell stigmatisering, etablerade och outsiders samt media. Resultatet som framkom i studien är att bilden av bostadsområdet Tjärna ängar skiljer sig mellan de boende och samhället. De boende upplever området som tryggt medan samhället ser området som oroligt. De boende menar att medias rapportering är en stor faktor till skapandet av bilden i samhället av bostadsområdet. Vidare framkom att området Tjärna ängar är utsatt för en territoriell stigmatisering. / The purpose of this study is to investigate residents own experience of living in Tjärna ängar and examine the notions they have about how outsiders think of Tjärna ängar to see if these notions affect the residents. The study is a qualitative study in which semi-structured interviews were used. The material has been analyzed from three different theoretical perspectives, territorial stigmatization, established and outsiders and the media. The result showed that the image of the area Tjärna ängar differ between the residents and the community. The residents experience the neighborhood as safe while the community sees it as disordered. The residents think that a major factor in the creation of the image that exists in the community is what media reports about the neighborhood. Furthermore the result showed that the neighborhood Tjärna ängar are subject to a territorial stigmatization.

The diploma paper was focused on analysis of the tools -- it means documentation of transfer pricing and advance pricing arrangement leading to the higher tax bond of tax subject, for example: in the case of tax control. The main benefit of this diploma paper consists of analysis of primary data. These data were obtained from the questionnaire as well as from the interviews oriented mainly on tax control which I had led with 2 multinational companies. The questionnaire, which I had done by myself, was sent to 46 multinational companies which their business platforms are located also in the Czech Rep. The most valuable written sources from which some data for my diploma paper were taken is the real documentation of transfer pricing done for the request of advance pricing arrangement as well as the decision of tax administrator in the same case according to the § 38nc Law N. 586/1992 Sb., about income tax. Just the character of the data guarantees the practical application of this diploma paper. I hope according to my diploma paper to be successful in notice of absence in the basic instruments of transfer pricing from point of the multinational companies view which could lead to the adjustment by competent authorities. This adjustment could consequently improve the cooperation between tax subjects and tax authorities.

The topic of the thesis is an intercompany comparison based on quantitative and qualitative indicators. First, the basic concepts of the intercompany comparison, analysis and used methods of multicriterial comparison are explained. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the creation of the own model for comparison of subjects in the selected industry to include qualitative and quantitative indicators. Five methods of multicriterial comparison are used to create the model. The created model is applied to data of 5 companies. In addition to own model, known prediction models are applied to company data. The results obtained when applying the model are compared with the results obtained using prediction models.

Community colleges often face challenges with leadership as a result of retirements and turnover. In reaction to these challenges some community colleges have developed Grow Your Own (GYO) leadership development programs. Although the topic of leadership and leadership development has been researched extensively, more research is necessary concerning GYO programs and their perceived impact on participants and their colleges. This study was designed to determine the perceived development of GYO participants as well as the perception of a GYO’s impact on the organization. Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) in Greensboro, North Carolina has had a GYO program for 30 years. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological theory design was used in this study. After obtaining permission from GTCC the 10 study participants were recruited through emails. Interviews were semi structured with questions designed to encourage discussion around the topic of leadership development. After each participant was interviewed, transcripts of the interview were made by the researcher and those transcripts were coded to determine themes. After the coding analysis was complete, common themes emerged. Each of the participants reported to have had previous roles in leadership prior to coming to GTCC. Most of the participants reported positive change because of attendance in the GYO in the areas of relationship building, networking, changed perspective of college role and mission, and better preparedness for future leadership opportunities. These findings supported earlier research that found GYO programs to be successful in creating valuable relationships across the organization. Research also supported the common theme of relationships formed both horizontally and vertically within the organization. Another common theme addressed in earlier research was the development of social capital development within the GYO program. This happens when individuals are brought together around information, given an action point, and asked to solve relevant organizational problems. This study may be useful for community colleges that already offer a GYO opportunity or are considering developing a GYO opportunity. Further research may be needed to determine the impact of the GYO leadership development training on those reporting to the participants of the program.
