Accumulation des biens, croissance et monnaie / Accumulation of goods, growth and money

Cayemitte, Jean-Marie 17 January 2014 (has links)
This thesis constructs a theoretical model that renews the traditional approach of the market equilibrium. By introducing into the neoclassical paradigm the principle of preference for quantity, it optimally generates inventories within a competitive market. The results are very important since they explain both the emergence of unsold goods and the existence of economic cycles. In addition, it studies the optimal behavior of a monopolist whose the market power depends not only on the quantity of displayed goods but also that of goods that the main consumer is willing to buy. Contrary to the traditional assumption that the monopolist chooses price or quantity that maximizes its profit, through a generalized Lerner index (GLI) it attracts customers’ demand by both the price and the quantity of displayed goods. Whatever the market structure, the phenomenon of inventory accumulation appears in the economy. Furthermore, it has the advantage of explicitly explaining impulse purchases untreated by economics. To check the robustness of the results, the theoretical model is fitted to U.S. data. Due to its nonlinearity, the Gauss-Newtonmethod is appropriate to highlight the impact of consumers’ preference for quantity on production and accumulation of goods and consequently GDP forecast. Finally, this thesis builds a two-country overlapping generations (OLG) model which extends the dynamic OLG equilibrium to a frictionless dynamic OLG gamma-equilibrium. Based on the cash-inadvance constraint, it highlights the conditions of over-accumulation of capital and welfare implications of capital mobility in a context of accumulation of stock of unsold goods.

Currency competition - M.I.U. model under different timing basis

Yang, Jian-Chung Unknown Date (has links)
Weil(1991)。 / The study issues and analytical framework of this thesis follow Weil(1991). We apply the money-in-the-utility model (M.I.U. model) to analyze several issues in currency substitution. We want to investigate the monetary equilibria and their stability when there are two substitutable currencies in an integrated economy. Specifically, we want to know whether the faster growing currency will drive the slower growing ones out of the market, or vise versa. Unlike Weil(1991), we base our model on a discrete-time basis Following the study of Fukuda(1997), we use two different approaches to put the real money balances in the utility function. One is "end-of-the-period" M.I.U. model, and the other is "beginning-of-the-period" M.I.U. model. We make the comparison of the result of the two alternative approaches. Furthermore, we contrast our outcomes against those of Weil(1991). Besides the analysis based upon the general utility form, we also provide analysis of two specific utility functions. Except for the log-linear utility function, we find that there are significant differences between the two alternatives timing framework. The "beginning-of-the-period" M.I.U. model shows that "Gresham's Law" would not necessarily be the inevitable outcome of the economy with two perfectly substitutable currencies. Thus, it limits the validity of the conclusion of Weil(1991).

Mbarek, Saoussen 12 1900 (has links)
We study different situations of matter distribution of a negative mass bubble. For the case of static and spherically symmetric bubbles, we start with the hypothesis saying that this kind of bubble, being a solution of Einstein equations, is a deformation of scalar field. We show that this idea must be rejected and replaced by another saying that the bubble is formed by a perfect fluid. We succeed to demonstrate that this is the proper matter distribution within Schwarzschild-De Sitter geometry, that it satisfies all conditions and that we’re capable of resolving numerically its parameters of pressure and density.

Material Objects as Means of Portraying Female Characters' Personality in the 20th century : As Exemplified in the three Short Stories by J. D. Salinger, V. Woolf and F. Weldon

Zelenenkaya, Ekaterina January 2013 (has links)
The world we live in is full of material objects that serve as signs and thus are an important tool in literary texts. The purpose of the present essay is to illustrate how material objects are used to portray personalities of female characters, their inner world and attitudes, their ways of life and position in society. It is especially interesting in the context of the 20th century in the Western world, when the culture of consumption was gaining momentum and the role of a woman was gradually changing. The short stories analysed in the essay are written in the Western context in the 20th century, which are “A Perfect Day for Bananafish” by J.D. Salinger, “Moments of Being: ‘Slater’s Pins Have no Points’” by V. Woolf and “The Bottom Line and the Sharp End” by F. Weldon. The material objects mentioned in the texts are classified and analysed due to their role and purpose in the short stories.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2007_Diss_GRSilva.pdf: 738353 bytes, checksum: 6ed3b1612bf4e01f00eea9269af7d940 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007 / This paper approaches the semantic-discursive behavior of the verbal Aspect in the simple forms of the tenses: Perfect Past and Imperfect Past of the Indicative mode, in a corpus of six inquiries of the database PORCUFORT - Português Oral Culto de Fortaleza. The theoretical chapters of this work retake some of the main researches made, previously, regarding the verbal Aspect; a study that adopts the way as this category is seen inside of the Semantics and of the Speech; in addition to the subject of the reference of this category in the speech and of the linguistic elements that, generally, that aid in its characterization, like the adverbs of time and the verbs argument. In the methodology, we show the analysis factors, they are: parameters of transitivity, verb types, foreground and background, and interpretation types. Thus, we have noticed that this verbal category possesses semantic-discursive characteristics that are not just conditioned by the morphological or lexical form of the verbs, but also by the arguments that accompany them, and by the discursive context in which they are inserted.

Vnější prostředí podniku / External environment of the company

ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Petra January 2013 (has links)
This thesis was focused on the theme: External environment of the company. The business was chosen during the preparation and give me necessary information. Researched business called Aerosol ? Service Ltd., place of business is in central Bohemian (Pletený Újezd). The main products of the company are polyurethane foams. This dissertation was divided into three pillars. The first pillar was oriented of the external surroundings of company. These surroundings were adequately described. The next step was survey, because was needed to profile customer satisfaction. Another important step was to analyze the strongest and closest competitors on the market. The second pillar was focused on farther surroundings professionally called macro surroundings. This part has been described by STEP analysis. From this analysis was evaluated several most fundamental and long-term factors. The last pillar was focused on foreign trade, which is for company the most important. 85 % of the all production goes abroad. Here was analyzed market of European Union and final effect was chosen two best companies according to set criteria to begin new business possibilities. The main object of the thesis was to analyze the external environment of the company. In my opinion, the main object fulfilled. New findings were found in the external environment, and they are designed to changes and recommendations.

Naissance de la diplomatie moderne. L'ambassadeur au croisement du droit, de l'éthique et de la politique / The Birth of Modern Diplomacy. the Ambassador between Law, Ethics and Politics

Fedele, Dante 05 December 2014 (has links)
Using a collection of texts commonly known as the “treatises on the ambassador”, this research examines the birth and the development of the experience of diplomacy from the 13th to the 17th Century. It aims, in particular, to explore the development of the figure of the ambassador within a field of problematization involving ethics, politics and law. After some methodological and historical remarks, the thesis deals with the development of the status of the ambassador from two perspectives, the legal and the professional. Regarding his legal status, the medieval legal conceptualisation of the role of the ambassador as a genuine public “office”, and that of the diplomatic function as “representation”, are examined. The way in which these conceptualisations help to define the negotiating powers conferred on the ambassador, his immunities and the honours to which he is entitled is then considered. This analysis allows for an investigation of the complex links between the exercise of diplomacy and claims to sovereignty during Europe’s transition from the Middle Ages to Modernity. Regarding his professional status, the thesis reconstructs the functions of the ambassador (particularly in relation to information gathering and negotiation), the means provided for the ambassador to undertake his functions (his salary and the assignment of an escort) and the objective, intellectual or moral qualities required of him. As well as illustrating the techniques which have been required for ambassadorial success since the 15th Century, this analysis offers some hints for studying the professionalization of public officials and the emergence of the modern criteria of political analysis.

Étude explicite de quelques n-champs géométriques / Non disponible

Benzeghli, Brahim 03 June 2013 (has links)
In [PRID], Pridham has shown that any Artin n-stack M has a presentation as a simplicial scheme X. → M such that the simplicial scheme X satisfies certain properties denoted G.Pn,k of [GROTH]. In the presentation (…→ X2 → X1 → X0 → M), the scheme X1 represents a chart for X0 x MX0. Thus, the smoothness of X0 → M is equivalent to the smoothness of the two projections ә0,ә1 : X1 → X0. These are the first two parts of the Grothendieck-Pridham condition, denoted G.P1,0 and G.P1,1. In [BENZ12] we introduced an Artin n-stack M of Maurer-Cartan elements of a dg-category. We constructed a chart, and have already proven the first smoothness conditions explicitly. For any n and any 0 ≤ k ≤ n Pridham considers a scheme denoted MatchΛkn(X) with a morphism Xn → MatchΛkn(X). We will construct explicitly the Grothendieck-Pridham simplicial scheme and show the smoothness of the preceding map, therefore M is a geometric n-stack.
