CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / A pesquisa buscou compreender a afetividade de jovens de duas realidades distintas: um ambiente rural do interior do Cearà e um ambiente urbano em Fortaleza-CE. Relaciona a afetividade (sentimentos e emoÃÃes) dos jovens, em relaÃÃo ao lugar onde moram, com o projeto de vida destes sujeitos. Parte da perspectiva histÃrica cultural que enfatiza a dialÃtica e a busca da superaÃÃo da dicotomia, tais como afetividade/racionalidade, subjetividade/objetividade. Investiga o projeto de vida de jovens, envolto por uma realidade objetiva tambÃm por uma dimensÃo subjetiva de homens histÃricos. A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar os projetos de vida de jovens do ambiente rural do municÃpio de Cruz (CE) e de jovens de um ambiente urbano de Fortaleza, a partir da afetividade (sentimentos e emoÃÃes) em relaÃÃo ao ambiente do qual fazem parte. Participaram da pesquisa 38 jovens de ambos os sexos, com idades variando entre 13 e 19 anos - sendo 19 jovens moradores de um ambiente urbano de Fortaleza-CE e 19 de um ambiente rural de Cruz-CE. Para apreensÃo dos afetos, utilizou-se o mÃtodo dos mapas afetivos (Bomfim, 2003) e para um aprofundamento de questÃes relacionadas ao projeto de vida foram utilizadas entrevistas baseadas em um questionÃrio semi-estruturado. A anÃlise dos dados qualitativos foi realizada por meio da anÃlise de conteÃdo e de uma anÃlise estatÃstica complementar. O fato de alguns jovens morarem em ambiente rural e outros em ambiente urbano nÃo diferiu completamente seus projetos de vida. Constatou-se que os jovens demonstram uma limitaÃÃo quanto à diversidade de projetos de vida. Percebeu-se que a maioria dos jovens està muito presa ao presente imediato - estudar e/ou trabalhar -, e que se limita a essa realidade. Observou-se influÃncias dos ambientes (rural e urbano) sobre algumas caracterÃsticas especÃficas de seus projetos de vida. Identificou-se que os jovens do ambiente rural tendem a buscar mais cedo trabalho, sendo estes trabalhos informais, sem a garantia de direitos trabalhistas, o que lhes gera uma inseguranÃa em relaÃÃo ao lugar que moram. Este fato se relaciona com o projeto de morar em outro lugar na busca por melhores oportunidades de trabalho. Jà em relaÃÃo aos jovens do ambiente urbano, identificou-se uma queixa em relaÃÃo à violÃncia urbana, gerando sentimentos de contraste em relaÃÃo ao lugar em que habitam. Os jovens do ambiente urbano expressaram um maior desejo de ingressar na faculdade do que os jovens do ambiente rural. Conclui-se como necessÃria a disseminaÃÃo de prÃticas sociais que visem um posicionamento crÃtico do sujeito diante das questÃes sociais e particulares que lhes cercam. / This research has searched the understanding of important aspects the affectivity of young from two distinct realities: the young people of an rural area in the countryside of Cearà state (BrazilÂs Northeast) and the young people of urban area in Fortaleza, capital of CearÃ. . We related the affectivity (feelings and emotions) of the young people for the place where they live with the project of life of these citizens. We used an historical and cultural perspective, that emphasizes the dialectic t he search of the overcoming of the dichotomy, such as affectivity/rationality, subjective/objective. The research has investigated the question of the Project of Life of young individuals, adopting an objective reality lived by the individuals, and also a subjective dimension of historical men . The research had as objective to analyze the projects of life of young individuals of both Cruz (CE), a rural town, and Fortaleza (CE), an urban city), observing the affectivity in relation to the environment of which they were part. 38 individuals of both sex took part in this research, with ages varying between 13 and 19 years - being 19 young inhabitants of urban environment and 19 of agricultural environment. For apprehension of the affection, the method used was the affective maps (Bomfim, 2003) and for a deepening of questions related to the project of life we used interviews based on a questionnaire. The analysis of the data was made in a qualitative way, focusing its contents, with a complementary statistic analysis. Among the conclusions, we noticed that enviromental issues are not determinative but have some influences on young peopleÂs Projects of Life, and that the dissemination of social practices that encourage critical positioning among young citizens are necessary.

O MEIO RURAL DA QUARTA COLÔNIA DE IMIGRAÇÃO ITALIANA COMO TEMA E CENÁRIO TURÍSTICO. / THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE FOURTH COLONY OF ITALIAN IMIGRATION AS TOURISTIC THEME AND SCENARY.

The present dissertation is a result of a research accomplished along with the Post-Graduate Program in Geography and Geociences of UFSM, which had as general goal the analysis of touristic scenaries throughout the rural environment in the Fourth Colony of Italian Imigration Region of Rio Grande do Sul (RQCII). The Fourth Colony Region situated in the geographical center of Rio Grande do Sul between the coordinates 29° 09 15 to 29° 58 37 of south latitude and 53° 47 18 to 53° 59 13 of west longitude, has constituted itself as the fourth and last colonial core created by the imperial government to settle italian imigrants within Rio Grande do Sul. The colonization began in 1877 by settling north-italian migrational waves from the Venetian region, which originated seven small rural municipalities: Silveira Martins, Nova Palma, Ivorá, Faxinal do Soturno, Dona Francisca, São João do Polêsine and Pinhal Grande. The socioeconomical functionality of the region is determined by familial agricultural activities, sustained by a populacional contingent of 29.779 inhabitants who still maintain colonial bonds that originated them, and live predominantly in rural environments. Thanks to colonial heritage and low development gained, the region is characterized by its conservancy of great historical- cultural and landscape riches, determined by territoriality built through the lifestyles of the first imigrants, identified by habits (dances, rites, foods, clothes, linguistic dialects, religion, crafts etc), understood as living memory of forefathers. Today these peculiarities generate interest in people who search within local identitary culture a refuge from standarized patterns brought on by cultural globalization. Facing the potentials present within its territory and the crisys that has permeated the agricultural sector, specialy in the 1990 s, the Region has emprehended sistematic efforts towards a rescue and valuation of its ethnic-cultural and socioeconomical identity. The regional singularity has come to be seen as different and, consequently, awaken as touristic scenarie, what has been the main factor of recent reorientation of the rural environment. The study uses the sistemic methodology allowing caracterization, classification and analysis of its scenaries to tourism of rural environment of agricultural regions. The main results achieved by the investigation indicate the rural environment is being seen as a place that combines quality of life and leisure with the strong identitary culture, where colonization has produced intrinsic peculiarities. Currently, this Colonial Region presents itself as authentic, identitary and diferent, before the standarized and globaly determined cultural ideals, what generates curiosity and atracts tourists, contributing to socioeconomical reproduction, in face of the contemporary crisis and (re)valoring the rural territory. / A presente dissertação é fruto da pesquisa realizada junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia e Geociências da UFSM, a qual teve por objetivo geral a análise dos cenários de Turismo no Meio Rural na Região da Quarta Colônia de Imigração Italiana do Rio Grande do Sul (RQCII). A antiga região da Quarta Colônia situada no centro geográfico do Rio Grande do Sul entre as coordenadas de 29° 09 15 a 29° 58 37 de latitude sul e 53° 47 18 a 53° 59 13 de longitude oeste, se constituiu no quarto e último núcleo colonial criado pelo governo imperial para assentar imigrantes italianos no Rio Grande do Sul. A colonização iniciou em 1877 por meio do assentamento de levas imigratórias norte-italianas da região Vêneta que deram origem a sete pequenos municípios rurais: Silveira Martins, Nova Palma, Ivorá, Faxinal do Soturno, Dona Francisca, São João do Polêsine e Pinhal Grande. A funcionalidade socioeconômica da região é determinada pelas atividades agrícolas familiares, mantidas por um contingente populacional de 29.779 habitantes que ainda mantêm os laços coloniais que lhes deram origem e residem predominantemente no meio rural. Graças à herança colonial e ao baixo desenvolvimento auferido, a Região se caracteriza por conservar grande riqueza histórico-cultural e paisagística determinada pela territorialidade construída através do modo de vida dos primeiros imigrantes, identificados por hábitos (danças, ritos, gastronomia, vestuário, dialetos lingüísticos, religiosidade, artesanato etc), entendidos como a memória viva dos antepassados. Hoje, estas peculiaridades suscitam interesses em pessoas que buscam na cultura identitária local o refúgio aos padrões estandardizados apregoados pela globalização cultural. Frente às potencialidades presentes no seu território e à crise que tem permeado o setor agrícola, principalmente na década de 90, a Região tem empreendido esforços sistemáticos de resgate e valoração de sua identidade étnico-cultural e socioeconômica. A singularidade regional passou a ser vista como diferente e, conseqüentemente, despertou como cenário de turismo, o qual tem sido o principal fator de reorientação recente do meio rural. O estudo emprega a metodologia sistêmica permitindo caracterização, classificação e análise de seus cenários para o turismo no meio rural desta região agrícola. Os principais resultados alcançados pela investigação indicam que o meio rural está sendo visto como lugar que combina qualidade de vida e lazer com a forte cultura identitária, onde a colonização produziu peculiaridades intrínsecas. Na atualidade, esta Região Colonial se apresenta aos olhos das pessoas como autêntica, identitária e diferente, perante o ideário cultural estandardizado e determinado pela globalização, que acaba gerando curiosidade e atraindo turistas, contribuindo para a reprodução socioeconômica, frente à crise contemporânea e (re)valorizando o território rural.

It is supposed that the teacher is constituted in an individual that acts starting from singular aspects, in an individual point of view, but at the same time it interacts with other individuals in an environment strongly marked by the culture. Those two dimensions are representatives of the socio-cultural characteristics and they can be seen in the perspective of the individual and collective identity. Based on those presuppositions we chose, as reference, four environment of formation: the family, the school, the work and the Movement of the Rural Workers Without-Soil/MST (MST: The without-soil-ones in Portuguese) observing as the teachers refers to those environment highlighting, mostly, the formative aspects stood out. The individuals researched are teachers involved in the education of settled communities, who are students of the Earth Pedagogy course of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte/UFFRN. For our analyses, we used narrative texts, written by the teachers, as conclusion of the discipline History of the Brazilian Education in which they tell their life histories. The speeches show as the environments of reference influence in their world conceptions, attitudes and values that not just mix in an individual dimension, but also collective. The research make us reflect about the possibility to think on the educational action starting from that understanding of wide formation considering the present elements in the courses of teacher's life / Este trabalho se constitui numa an?lise sobre a forma??o do professor considerando determinados elementos de sua cultura. Parte-se do princ?pio de que o professor se constitui num sujeito que atua a partir de aspectos singulares, do ponto de vista individual, mas ao mesmo tempo interage com outros sujeitos num meio fortemente marcado pela cultura. Essas duas dimens?es s?o constituintes das caracter?sticas s?cio-culturais e podem ser vistas na perspectiva da identidade individual e coletiva. This research defends the idea that the concept of social function and its concretion serve as a means to promote and achieve sustainable development in rural areas because the concepts of both phenomena are similar. Through instruments of the law, the requirements that rural properties must concomitantly present to complete their social function were studied. In the same way, and with historical analysis, the Brazilian agrarian question was studied, along with land policy, agricultural policy, and agrarian reform. The research shows that, in Goiás, land acquisition by Incra through purchase and sale and expropriation, for the purpose of agrarian reform, is concentrated in the less developed regions, which have the highest number of settlements constituted. Land expropriation by the Union for not attending to the social function of the property and its purpose of agrarian reform is compromised in Brazil due to Incra's failure to comply with all the requirements that make up the social function. Thus, agrarian reform has been driven and limited by the predominant model of development in the Brazilian rural environment: agribusiness. If all these requirements were observed, a model of production different from that of agribusiness, one more just, legitimate, and egalitarian, could be implemented in the field by means of agrarian reform. / O presente trabalho objetivou analisar, a situação agrária do estado de Goiás, o agronegócio e a função social dos imóveis rurais perante a reforma agrária. Defende-se a ideia de que o conceito de função social e sua concretização servem como meio para se promover e alcançar o desenvolvimento sustentável no meio rural, porque os conceitos de ambos os fenômenos são parecidos. A partir dos instrumentos do Direito foram estudados os requisitos que, concomitantemente, as propriedades rurais devem apresentar para que estejam cumprindo a sua função social. Do mesmo modo, e contando com o auxílio da história, foi estudada a questão agrária brasileira, e, nela, a política fundiária, a política agrícola e a reforma agrária. A pesquisa mostra que, em Goiás, a aquisição de terras pelo Incra, por meio de compra e venda e pela desapropriação, com fins de reforma agrária, concentra-se nas regiões menos desenvolvidas, que contam com maior quantidade de assentamentos assim constituídos. A desapropriação de terras pela União pelo não atendimento à função social da propriedade e sua destinação à reforma agrária está comprometida no Brasil devido à não observância pelo Incra de todos os requisitos que compõem a função social. Assim, a reforma agrária tem sido conduzida e limitada pelo modelo de desenvolvimento predominante no meio rural brasileiro: o agronegócio. Caso fossem observados todos os requisitos, poder-se-ia implantar no campo um modelo de produção diferente do modelo, do agronegócio, mais justo, legítimo e igualitário por meio da reforma agrária.

For doing so, we make an evaluation of the State action impact on the context, taking into account the real perception from these residents about the interference made by professional knowledge and implemented by the institutional bodies. In this paper we consider that to understand the state action in the social relation scope, in the context of program in focus, is to take into account that the achievements of the social action cannot be measured only by the market value gaining, but it also implies to consider the extension of the results after the deed. For the research development we used some different tools for data collection, such as field report, semi-structural interviews, structural interviews, and documents consulting. The authors we have as theoretical basis were Hobbes (1997), Locke (1998), Dumont (1993). First we present some discussions about the concept that lies in the State liberal theory. Next, we presented and set the context of the coming up of social policies, as well as the family function that, along the history mediated the state action. In this perspective, authors as Engels (1984), Donzelot (1986), Neto (1996) and others contemporary ones, give the basis to the presupposed considerations. From the authors like Heredia (1979), Palmeiras (1977), Wanderley (2005), Brenneisen (1994) and Martins (2000), we present the issue about land in Brazil and the daily reality of the residents of Salto São Francisco Rural Village that, in the audience condition, take part in a social policy. / O presente estudo aborda aspectos da intervenção do Estado enquanto gestor das políticas sociais no cotidiano das famílias moradoras na Vila Rural Salto São Francisco, localizada no Oeste do Paraná, procurando identificar a forma com que o ideário liberal de importância da propriedade, liberdade e família, se reproduz na fala e na vida cotidiana desses trabalhadores rurais. Para tanto, fez-se uma avaliação do impacto da ação do Estado sobre o contexto, considerando a real percepção desses moradores acerca da interferência realizada pela via do saber profissional e implementada por meio dos órgãos institucionais. Neste trabalho, considera-se que compreender a ação do Estado no âmbito das relações sociais, no contexto do programa em questão, é levar em conta que os resultados da ação social não podem ser mensurados apenas pelos ganhos valorativos do mercado, mas implica considerar, também, os desdobramentos que evoluem após o feito. Para a realização da pesquisa, fez-se uso de instrumentais diversos para a coleta de dados, tais como relatórios de campo, entrevistas semi-estruturadas, entrevistas estruturadas e consultas a documentos. Tendo como apoio obras de Hobbes (1997), Locke (1998), Dumont (1993), inicialmente, fundamentam-se discussões acerca dos conceitos fundadores da teoria liberal de Estado. Em seguida, apresenta-se e contextualiza-se o surgimento das políticas sociais, bem como a função da família que, ao longo da história, intermediara a ação estatal. Nesta perspectiva, autores como Engels (1984), Donzelot (1986), Netto (1996) e outros teóricos contemporâneos fundamentam as considerações pressupostas. Aide à la décision pour le choix de sites et systèmes énergetiques adaptés aux besoins du benin

L’analyse des sites éoliens et des possibilités solaires du Bénin a conduit les travaux vers les systèmes énergétiques, du type photovoltaïque autonome, couplé à des batteries de stockage. Ces systèmes énergétiques appropriés ont été analysés, modélisés et optimisés. Les critères d’optimisation sont issus d’une enquête réalisée au près des responsables qui s’occupent des questions d’électrification en milieu rural, des professionnels sélectionnés qui jouent un rôle majeur dans le processus décisionnel des projets d’électrification en milieu rural, des associations locales qui ont bénéficié de ces projets au Bénin, des techniciens et des usagers de ces systèmes. Ces critères sont hiérarchisés selon la méthode AMDEC. Une méthode d’optimisation adaptée a été réalisée ; elle fait appel à une vision originale de pondération. / The analysis of the wind sites and the solar possibilities of Benin led the works towards the energy systems, of the autonomous photovoltaic type, coupled with batteries of storage. These appropriate energy systems were analyzed, modelled and optimized. The criteria of optimization arise from a survey realized in near the persons in charge who take care of questions of electrification in rural areas, of selected professionals who play a major role in the decision-making of the projects of electrification in rural areas, local associations which benefited from these projects in Benin, from technicians and from users of these systems. These criteria are organized into a hierarchy according to the method AMDEC. A method of adapted optimization was realized; she appeals to an original vision of level-headedness.

Quel est l’apport d’un observatoire photographique pour la protection et la mise en valeur des paysages : le cas des lanières agricoles de la MRC de Memphrémagog

En 1986, la MRC de Memphrémagog avait mandaté la firme SOTAR pour procéder à une première caractérisation des paysages d’intérêt (SOTAR, 1986) soit, au sens de la Loi sur l’aménagement et l’urbanisme, les territoires d’intérêt patrimonial, esthétique et culturel. Le mandat avait entre autres conduit à une documentation photographique de ces paysages. Ainsi, quelque 600 diapositives révélant les éléments constitutifs des paysages qui participaient à son caractère distinctif sont issues de cette étude. Informée de l’existence de ce fonds, la MRC, en partenariat avec l’Université de Montréal, s’est dite intéressée à mettre en place un observatoire photographique des paysages afin de définir l’apport de cet outil pour comprendre et de documenter l’évolution de ses paysages d’intérêt. Suivant la méthode générale des observatoires photographiques des paysages (Guittet, 2016), un retour sur près de 60 sites a été effectué et près de 48 rencontres ont été menées auprès d’acteurs du territoire en ayant pour objectif de comprendre les dynamiques sous-jacentes aux transformations observées. Le présent mémoire s’arrime à cette initiative en s’intéressant aux sites contenus à l’intérieur des lanières agricoles identifiées par l’étude de la SOTAR en 1986. À travers l’analyse de 16 sites et la rencontre de 20 participants, l’étude témoigne de l’effacement progressif des paysages des lanières. Cette étude aura également permis de mieux définir l’importance de la compréhension du contexte social dans la transformation des paysages. / In 1986, Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality (MRCM) mandated SOTAR, an urban planning firm, to characterize landscapes of special interests (SOTAR, 1986) as defined in Quebec Act respecting land use planning and development. An extensive photographic library was collected during the 1986 mandate. This exceptional database of 600 slides allows a description of the landscape elements contributing to the distinctive character of the MRCM. Informed about the potential benefits of the photographic database, MRCM instituted, in partnership with the University of Montreal, a landscape photographic observatory to define how the observatory can be use to understand and document the evolution of landscapes of interest. The present master’s thesis analyses the evolution of the sites contained in the agricultural strips identified in the 1986 SOTAR study. The analysis was conducted using the general method for photographic observatories (Guittet 2016). Data for the analysis was obtained from 16 sites and interviews with 20 rural stakeholders. The analysis documents the progressive disappearance of agricultural strips. The decrease in farming activities in portions of the territory led to the disappearance of barns, a restriction in visual perspective and the arrival of non-farming population. The study highlights the importance of understanding the social context in the transformation of rural landscapes.

Gymnasieungdomars kunskap om tobaks påverkan på oral hälsa : En enkätstudie / Difference in knowledge among high school students regarding the impact of tobacco on oral health : A survey study

Bakgrund: Många studier har påvisat negativa effekter på allmän och oral hälsa vid tobaksbruk. Ungdomars tobaksdebut sker vanligtvis mellan 13 och 16 års ålder. Kunskapsskillnader bland ungdomar geografisk har påvisats i andra länder, få studier har gjorts i Sverige. Rådgivning från tandvårdspersonal om hur tobak påverkar oral hälsa ökar antalet personer som slutar röka och snusa. Syfte: Att undersöka om kunskapsskilllnad fanns hos svenska gymnasieungdomar i årskurs två gällande hur tobak påverkar oral hälsa beroende på om de går i skola i tätort respektive landsbygd. Metod: En kvantativ ansats genomfördes med en webbaserad enkät med slutna frågor. Två olika gymnasieskolor med 110 ungdomar i årskurs två deltog. Resultat: Gymnasieungdomar hade generellt goda kunskaper om hur tobak påverkar oral hälsa. Alla frågor sammantaget visade inga signifikanta skillnader mellan gymnsaieskolorna. Enskilda frågor visaade låg kunskap gällande vattenpipans effekter på oral hälsa i båda gymnasieskolorna. Slutsatts: Unddervisning från tandvården om vattenpipnas effekter på oral hälsa bör implementeras i skolundervisningen. Fler studier i det här ämnet bör genomföras för att kartlägga kunskapsskillnader. / Background: Studies have shown negative effects on general and oral health in tobacco use. Adolescents tobacco onset usually occurs between the ages of 14 and 16. Differences in knowledge among adolescents geographically have been conducted in Sweden. Advice from dental staff regarding how tobacco affects oral health increases the number of the people quitting smoking and snuff. Aim: To investigate whether there were differences in knowledge among Swedish High School students in year two regarding how tobacco affects oral health depending on whether they go to school in urban or rural areas. Method: A quantitative approach was conducted through a web-based survey with closed questions. Two different Senior High Schools with 110 adolescents studying year two participated. Results: High School students have good knowledge of how tobacco affects oral health. Individual questions showed low knowledge regarding the effects of the hookah on oral health in both Senior High Schools. Conclusion: Education from dentistry about the effects of the hookah on oral health should be implemented in school education. More studies in this subject should be conducted to map differences in knowledge.

Paysages d’adolescents du Québec, saisons en regards filmiques

Le chemin pour circonscrire le rapport intime qu’ont des adolescents à leur milieu de vie via le paysage est relaté par ce texte intitulé «Paysages d’adolescents du Québec, saisons en regards filmiques». Ce travail de recherche documente ce qui de la nature ou des indices de traces sociales composent leurs images vidéographiques tournées en automne et en hiver, et ce faisant, contribue à l’exploration des valeurs qu’ils accordent au territoire. Les conclusions de cette recherche révèlent d’une part, la présence d’une oscillation entre des éléments de la nature et de la communauté dans les images filmiques et que la maison serait le vecteur principal de l’ancrage au territoire; elle est le théâtre où se développent, à petites échelles, les sensibilités paysagères des adolescents. La méthodologie qui a été développée pour arriver à ces résultats reposait sur des projets dans des écoles secondaires de la Montérégie et du Bas-Saint-Laurent dans le cadre desquels des adolescents ont filmé leur milieu puis évalué et décrit leurs images. Les analyses effectuées à l’aide d’observations récurrentes et thématiques successives ont permis de cibler plusieurs dimensions de l’interface paysagère entre l’adolescent et le territoire. / «Paysages d’adolescents du Québec, saisons en regards filmiques» chronicles the journey to define the intimate relationship between adolescents and their environment. This study documents the natural and social elements of images filmed over the course of two seasons: fall and winter. Our text thereby contributes to the exploration of adolescents’ environmental values. On one hand, our research finds an oscillation between nature and society in the filmed images. It also shows the home—the platform upon which adolescents’ landscape awareness develops on a smaller scale—as the driving force behind the establishment of roots. The methodology used to achieve these results was drawn from projects in Montérégie and Bas-Saint-Laurent high schools in which adolescents filmed their environment and then evaluated and described the images captured. The analyses of recurring observations and successive themes allowed us to target the many dimensions of the adolescent’s relationship with their landscape.
