No. of bitstreams: 1 Edevilson de Godoy.pdf: 2017172 bytes, checksum: 96fe04fb1ddbe914385d650c9d368340 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-12-04 / This study examines the sacrifice of Christ as a conquest of ancient sacrifice, from the paradigm of victimizing mechanism explained by Franco-American anthropologist René Girard. The thesis affront the theme of sacrifice in perspective Girard, highlighting the evolution of his thought: from the mimetic process that culminates in the classic concept of the scapegoat as exorcism of community violence, it reaches a more dialectic, in which maintaining the archaic theory, highlights the Christian message of sacrifice as gift of self for the life of another. The research fits into the context of studies on the role of religion in human relations, that is, the phenomenon of religion in community relations, to, from Girard, focusing on the "sacrifice of Christ as the greatest expression of love of history able to redeem sinful man. The study has a humble ambition to show the extraordinary contribution of theory Girard theology. It presents an overall discussion of the thought of Girard. Keep is the dogmatic biblical field, including the possibility of the compatibility between Catholic theology and thought Girard at a specific point and absolutely qualifying: the word sacrifice can be perfectly applied to the event of Christ's passion / Este estudo analisa o sacrifício de Cristo como superação do sacrifício antigo, a partir do paradigma do mecanismo vitimário explicado pelo antropólogo francoamericano René Girard.

Álvarez Álvarez, Daniel 19 July 2002 (has links)
The influence of the slaughter technology on carcass and pork meat quality was studied. The work consisted in a throughout study including all the operations carried out in a great capacity industrial slaughter, from the arrival of the animals to the refrigerated carcass. This was made in order to detect and correcting possible quality losses related to the technology applied. For this purpose, it was considered the most important processes that could have influence on the meat quality, among them were included: installation design, loading areas, corrals, slaughtering rooms, and refrigeration rooms. 2047 pigs from 36 different farms were studied considering different batches and measurements according to the industrial stage under study. Weight, lean, and backfat of carcass were determined in order to establish their commercial type and subjective conformation. SM temperature at 45 min. 2 and 24 h pm was measured at three different deep levels (surface, middle, bottom). pH (45min. 2,8,and 24h pm and CE (45min, 2, and 24h pro) measurements at SM were used for the estimation of meat quality. Meat was classified according to the latest parameters as PSE (CE2>8 mS/cm), DFD (PH8>6.2), and normal (CE2<6mS/cm and pH8<6). The results obtained showed the relationship between antemortem handling, carcass refrigeration conditions, and slaughter handling with meat quality. The most critical parameters affecting meat quality can be considered: resting animal, entry of animals into the slaughter rooms, stunning, and finally refrigeration room capacity being enough to keep the slaughtering rate. Losses of meat quality were also found because of non-adequate design and location of the installations.

FINO AL SACRIFICIO. LA CONDIZIONE MORALE DELL'UOMO SECONDO VLADIMIR JANKÉLÉVITCH

MANIEZZI, GIULIA 20 April 2017 (has links)
This research focuses on the moral philosophy of Vladimir Jankélévitch and, in particular, on the theoretical relation between metaphysics and morality. This work aims to clarify the essential question of Jankélévitch’s moral philosophy and, at the same time, to show the close link of this question with Jankélévitch’s metaphysical perspective. The main aim of this research is to present and to explain the reasons why Jankélévitch asserts that ethics is first philosophy. The core hypothesis is that the foundation of this assessment could be found in the pages of Philosophie première, where, in 1954, Jankélévitch proposes two decisive arguments. First of all, he presents the Absolute as Faire-être sans être and, secondly, he qualifies the Absolute as pure Act with regard to which every human act is impure. In addition to the critical presentation of Jankélévitch’s metaphysics, the analysis of the philosophical meaning of the adjectives pure and impure allows to show two points. Firstly, it shows that the fundamental question of Jankélévitch’s ethics concerns the human possibility to experience the Absolute. Secondly, it demonstrates that Jankélévitch’s answer to this question is affirmative and it is centred on the notion of loving sacrifice.

Prácticas Sacrificiales en el Valle Bajo del Rímac durante el Período Intermedio Temprano (150 – 650 d.C)

Barreto Romero, María Inés January 2012 (has links)

Pizarro Medina, María del Pilar 29 September 2017 (has links)

Seeing Lithium Extraction : Countering the Myth of ‘Green’ Transition through Contemporary Art

McCarthy, Victoria January 2023 (has links)
This thesis examines the intersection between lithium extraction and contemporary art through a visual semiotic analysis of three contemporary artworks: Unknown Fields’ We Power Our Future With the Breast Milk of Volcanoes, Marcela Magno’s Land [2] Litio, and Julian Charrière’s Future Fossil Spaces. It explores how lithium extraction is visualised in the selected artworks, what connotations can be extracted from them, the geopolitical dimension expressed in them, and how they relate to the myth of ‘green’ transition. This text takes a starting point in the notion of critical visualisations of extractivism in contemporary art as an urgent political, artistic, and ecological issue. Extractivism is a crucial concept in this thesis, and it is further explored through the intersection of art and extractivism in dialogue with previous research by, for example, Eray Çaylı, Macarena Gómez-Barris, and T.J. Demos. The artworld’s interest in lithium has grown in the last years, with cultural projects and exhibitions on lithium taking place in Sweden and the Netherlands, yet there are no academic texts that explore the intersection of lithium extraction and contemporary art. The aim of this thesis is to thoroughly examine this intersection through three contemporary artworks, to expand academic literature regarding this topic, but also to make the results available to curators, cultural workers, and artists who are currently developing cultural projects around lithium and its extraction. The results of the visual semiotic analysis demonstrated that all three of the artworks critically engaged with lithium extraction by visibilising either present or future green sacrifice zones. They all countered the myth of ‘green’ transition with different strategies: by showing the two-furthermost-apart links in the lithium supply chain, by recuperating Indigenous creation myths of the extracted landscapes, and by exploring the supposed intangibility of our ever-expanding digital world.

L'EPISCOPATO ITALIANO E LA GRANDE GUERRA: DISCORSO PUBBLICO E DISCORSO INTERNO (1914-1918) / The Italian Bishops and the Great War. Public Discourse and Discourse inside the Church (1914-1918)

MALPENSA, MARCELLO 26 March 2010 (has links)
Until today, the historiography concerning the attitude of Italian bishops during the First World War dealt with the subject from essentially a political perspective, focused on bishops' commitment to patriotic ideals and the level of support for the war. This research takes into account, on the one hand, the analysis of the pastoral discourse made publicly by the Italian bishops about and during the «Great War», and on the other hand, the analysis of the discourse inside of the church hierarchy addressed both downwards (to priest-soldiers and fighting seminarists) and upwards (to the Holy See). Thus, the actual explanatory categories by which the war-event was understood and judged by bishops are revealed. The picture that emerges is heterogeneous: beyond patriotic rhetoric, the most dominant finding is represented by providential reading of the conflict. By attaching a redemptive meaning to death from fighting for one's country, it proved to be a decisive factor in legitimising the participation of the faithful. The analysis of the correspondence between the bishops and fighting seminarists, and between the bishops and the Holy See demonstrates the existence of different tones and sensibilities. Although worth recording, they do not seem to change the overall picture that the public discourse displays.

La ofrenda animal durante el Bronce Inicial en Can Roqueta II (Sabadell, Vallès Occidental). Arqueozoología del ritual funerario

Albizuri Canadell, Silvia 27 May 2011 (has links)
The research focuses on the use of animals in ritual deposits. It is based in the analysis of the faunal remains recovered from the internal funerary and ritual structures carved in the clay, in the site of the Early Bronze Age of Can Roqueta II (Sabadell, Barcelona). The results show that children, women and men were buried together in a very similar ceremony and accompanied by animals. Sheep and goats, cows, pigs and dogs are the best-represented, although carnivores and birds are also documented. While many of these animals were offered as a meal to accompany the deceased on his journey, the dogs, which were not consumed, were probably sacrificed as guides of the soul. The research aims to show that animal sacrifice is a universal response to death, with slight differences that probably reflect cultural and social adjustments.
