This paper is based on a qualitative textbook analysis aiming to investigate what image four selected textbooks, designed for religious education course 1 in Swedish upper secondary school, gives about the Swedish citizen in relation to religion and Christianity, focused on Protestant and Orthodox orientations. And further discuss if it is recognizable and associated with the social context Swedish students live in today. This by examining how the textbooks describe religion, the contemporary religiosity in Sweden and the construction of Christian Protestants in relation to Orthodox Christians . The material was analyzed in relation to previous research, and this papers theoretical basis based on new published literature distributing with contemporary perspectives on the religious landscape - private religiosity in a globalized society and young people’s ability to create meaning, the postsecular Swedes and understanding of religion and Christianity in the postsecular classroom.   The contemporary religious understanding and production of the religious human, and in this case exactly Christian Protestants and Orthodox, do not seem to be associated with the social context that Swedish students live in today. The lack of education of contemporary religiosity perspective, and the maintaining of social power structures demands for a critical discussion about the didactic challenges in Swedish religious education.

Den innehåller även en kritisk granskning och genomgång av graffitins historieskrivning.</p><p>Utgångspunkten är påståenden om att den samtida konsten präglas av en öppenhet och en mångfald där vad som helst kan vara konst. Frågan som ställs är om dessa påståenden verkligen stämmer. Undersökningens resultat pekar entydigt på att så inte är fallet. Den samtida konsten framstår tvärtom som ett både socialt och diskursivt snävt avgränsat sammanhang där uteslutning är en central aspekt. Idén om det nyskapande framstår som viktig i bedömningen av vad som betraktas som konst. Deskriptiva och normativa utsagor vävs samman enligt likartade mönster i olika sammanhang, vilket tyder på att det finns väletablerade tolkningsstrukturer. Resultaten pekar även på att dessa strukturer är stabila samt att de har kopplingar till klass.</p>

Abstract This research is about how some swedish teachers in high school choose literature in schools. The purpose is to underline the reasons for how some teachers think about selection, canon, classic and contemporary literature. Two survey methods were used to find the answers, wich consisted of interviews and questionnaires. The letter methods was used to obtain informations about student´s views on literature. Previous research shows that there are different opinions in what kind of literature the pupils should read in school. The results of literature, questionnaires and interviews also showed that the underlying reasons for the choice of literature, varied among those interviewed further forward ofthe students also prefer to read books during lessons, and that they prefer reading books by popular contemporary writers.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the Swedish Plymouth brethren’s relation to contemporary technology. What types of technology are considered acceptable and where do they draw the line? Due to the brethren’s separation from the parts of the world they believe leads people away from God, such as the entertainment industry, immoralities etc., they reject use of television and radio. These two are viewed as uncontrolled types of technology since the user does not have control of its contents. Computers and mobile phones are however accepted types of technology nowadays, since the user can choose what content they wish to explore. These can also be filtered. The qualities a type of technology must have to be accepted by the brethren is a clear purpose and usage. It must also be possible to control and/or modify to suit the brethren’s values. It cannot be used solely for pleasure, pastime, immoralities and/or be uncontrolled and impossible to modify. The reason for the brethren’s complex relation towards contemporary technology has to do with their will to live separated from worldly things. At the same time they claim they do not want to live isolated but be a part of contemporary society. In order to balance separation from the society with being a part of it at the same time, they have had to embrace technology but have negotiated with it in order for it to be in line with their teachings. Since the brethren also have many companies it is likely that they have had to adapt to the technological era in order to maintain their position on the market.

Samtida, kritisk design som företeelse är ett, om inte helt nytt, ändå moderniseratfenomen inom det designkulturella området som under kort tid blivit tämligen utbrett. Undersökningens syfte är att få en fördjupad kunskap för området för mig som blivande lärare inom design. Det känns viktigt att vara uppdaterad i samtida designrörelser för att ge undervisningen ett aktuellt perspektiv. För att söka kunskap om områdets profession undersöker jag med vilka intentioner formgivare har arbetat inom området samtida kritisk design. Litteraturstudier hjälper till att synliggöra utmärkande teman, frågeställningar och arbetssätt inom området. Genom semiotiska analyser av ett urval av verk inom samtida kritisk design, skapas en djupare förståelse för fältet. Med hjälp av analyserna utreder jag dessutom på vilket sätt formgivare genom betydelseförskjutningar av föremål, kan utmana rådande normer. Med bakgrund i företeelsen samtida kritisk design undersöker jag med vilket syfte frågeställningar, teman och arbetsmetoder inom kritisk design kan aktualiseras i en pedagogisk kreativ miljö. Med intentionen att hitta relevanta kopplingar till att behandla kritisk design i skolsammanhang använder jag mig av gymnasieskolans styrdokument. Litteratur som behandlar pedagogiska teorier blir också användbar för undersökningen. För att ge uppslag till hur en samtida företeelse på designfältet såväl kan tillämpas som problematiseras i skolans värld, genomför jag en designpedagogisk workshop på en gymnasieskola i Jakobsberg, Järfälla. Genom workshopen söker jag praktisk erfarenhet och kunskap av hur omformning av föremål kan vara fruktbar som estetisk läroprocess i skolan. Under workshopen får eleverna omforma en i skolan vanligt förekommande väggklocka. Genom omformningen ges eleverna en möjlighet att utöva kritisk design genom att utmana skolans normativa visuella miljö, och skapa mer personliga uttryck. Arbetet har resulterat i en förståelse för samtida kritisk design samt motivering för hur området är viktigt för gymnasieskolans estetiska undervisning. Gestaltningsarbetet består av samtliga elevernas färdiga klockor från workshopen. Visualiseringen syftar till att synliggöra mångfalden av individer, och de olika estetiska uttryck som befinner inom skolans opersonliga och neutrala väggar.

<p>An analysis of Konstvägen Sju Älvar, an exhibition of modern Nordic sculpture along a road trough the wilderness of Northern Sweden. Konstvägen is a project for public art and contemporary art in northern Sweden. The intention is to see what happens when you exhibit art alongside a road and what function it fills. By comparing the qualities of Konstvägen to the qualities of a monument Konstvägen and it’s exhibitional functions are sought to be understood.</p>

<p>This thesis discusses the representation of bodies in todays non-fiction television in Sweden. I have chosen to focus on deviant bodies (sexual, deformed or unhealthy) on display in reality-shows and documentaries on SVT, TV4 but especially on the commercial channels TV3 and Kanal5. Also discussed are the viewers emotional and bodily reactions. Altough these shows are different from one another in many respects, I argue that there is also a common thread between them. From a sociological and cultural perspective, and with help of some historical examples, I try to illustrate how we view these shows and what their function is. I conclude that the body is a site of powerstruggle and that these shows have many different levels of meaning. We cathegorize and value these deviant bodies but also our own. It is about making creating a ”us and them” and in the long run it has to do with making class and identity. The voyeuristic pleasure in watching these people displayed on TV is made possible from the safe distance of our livingroom.</p>

Syftet med uppsatsen var att belysa hur de kulturella och sociala praktikerna kring ICE HOT, en plattform för samtida dans, var formade och konstituerade. Vår analys grundar sig i hur aktörerna på fältet formas av sannings regimer. Detta undersöktes genom en diskursanalys av primärdata, i form av intervjuer av aktörer i fallet samt publicerade dokument av ICE HOT som sekundärdata. De senaste decenniernas styre av offentlig sektor, har starkt påverkats av influenser från näringslivet, även känt som New Public Management (NPM). Sedan en tid tillbaka går det att skönja hur mål- och resultatstyrning, ökande kontroll, användandet av ekonomiska incitament och köp-och-säljmodeller präglat den offentliga sektorns kultursfär och inte minst kulturpolitiken.  Vi har använt oss av Cornelius Castoriadis ontologisk institutionell teori, Michel Foucaults utgångspunkter om sanning, maktrelationer och governmentality. Samt Eva Bejeroth och Hans Hasselbladhs modell om interventioner. NPM har blivit den hegemoniska diskursen på fältet. Aktörerna tycks i mångt och mycket befinna sig mitt i diskursens bubbla, men i vissa fall finner vi en konkurrerande diskurs. Dock verkar den konkurrerande diskursen ha svårt att undanröja NPMs instrumentella rationalitet, då den förespråkar den kulturella logiken.
