No. of bitstreams: 1 DissMLMCD.pdf: 3414228 bytes, checksum: ab057c3d4ef8af9d88eb659591fd3573 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-04-20 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) / In Brazil, where social issues arising from the structural inequality of a capitalist society did not lead to configuring a State of Social Welfare at any time in its history and that, moreover, it coexists with extreme levels of wealth concentration, encouraged the question about how, nowadays, this social issue is whether or not considered by occupational therapists. Understanding that occupational therapy is a profession that can direct its interest of study and involvement to the social inequalities and its problematics, and highlighting interventions and therapeutic-occupational propositions that occur with individuals who are on the margins of the social organization, this project made a proposal of research that goes back to the relationship between occupational therapy and the "social issues" in Brazil, focusing on the publications produced by researchers until March 2015, when data collection ended. The survey was conducted from the CNPq Research Groups Directory in the Lattes Platform, where occupational therapists researchers working in the occupational therapy subarea were selected in this directory. Then an assessment was held in their resumes on the same platform in order to gather all its productions in format of articles, books and / or book chapters, so that later those related to the subject studied could be selected. In addition to this source of information, all publications in this area in the two indexed Brazilian journals in the field were gathered. The aim was to bring together the production of researchers in occupational therapy with what has been brought in knowledge dissemination vehicles in the area. The data collected after the application of the inclusion criteria for the study were gathered in 112 texts of 155 different authors. The content thereof permitted to categorize and analyze what was produced in the academic area, allowing the apprehension of the theoretical foundation of the relationship between occupational therapy and social issues in Brazil. It is noteworthy that the productions on the theme intensified from the 2000s, and mostly cover the adult population. What has been proposed by social occupational therapy in Brazil and the authors linked to METUIA Project marks sharply the set of this production. Moreover, it is clear that professionals turn to the demands arising from the social question in Brazil, noting that occupational therapy has indeed tools and resources to do so.

Laughter has been chosen as an analytical category, because it is a pertinent theme which makes possible a more accurate comprehension of the lyric content of Cruz e Sousa s poetic works. The laughter manifested in his verses is seen as a mechanism which compensates both normativeness and seriousness, as well as turns inside out whatever society establishes as being natural or an absolute truth. Amongst his poems, we will focus on the ones which express their lyric nature both through laughter and irony, since these elements serve as a means to criticize the Brazilian society in the late nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century. This study is guided by theories of laughter proposed by Minois (2003), Bakhtin (1993), Bergson (2007), as well as Adorno s (2003) and Antonio Candido s (2010) theoretical assumptions concerning lyric poetry and society / O presente trabalho apresenta uma an?lise sobre a poesia de Cruz e Sousa, poeta brasileiro do s?culo XIX. Políticas sociais e questões ambientais

Moreira, Andrea Batista 27 February 2014 (has links)
The present study aimed to analyze the relationship between social issues and environmental issues. For this, it became necessary: to analyse the relationship that exists between identifying social policies and environmental conservation; analyze their contribution to the survival of workers and the unemployed. Regarding methodology, it is a bibliographic and documentary research, with readings about the topic made in books, magazines, scientific articles, as well as surveys, theses and dissertations related to the topics. We tried to analyze the possible relationship between the denial of rights that are guaranteed by law, which run precariously by social policies (welfare, education, health, housing, environmental, etc..). Throughout history, social exclusion and inequality manifested and were treated in various ways, but there was no significant change in the existing order. Even so, vindicated movements achieved some victories that would not be possible without the process of mobilization of the working classes as well as social movements. We observe that in the social rights era, the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, was a milestone in the consolidation of these, mostly in the form that that Constitution was drafted with the participation of the civil society. However, there is a big gap between laws and their enforcement, because if they were to be implemented, we would not have a picture of chronic poverty - being necessary the existence of palliative measures such as minimum income programs - as well as disrespect for the environment. Finally, we discuss the progress and setbacks in the implementation of social policies and their implications.

This paper aims to comprehend the phenomenon of criminalization of social issue, in the context of Brazilian society, emphasizing how this process is presented in terms of the criminalized youth in our country. Drawing on the theoretical perspective adopted by the authors of critical criminology and using the materialist method, historical and dialectical, sought to forge an analysis able to elucidate the contradictions put to the understanding of the phenomenon above. Considering the criminalization of the social issue a phenomenon historically produced and consolidated, as well as the discourses and practices that are intended to it, they are proposed some lines of analysis about the social and political elements that cross the reality of the subject criminalized and likely to be criminalized in our society nowadays. For an approximation to the internal dynamics of the country, a social ransom is made, in order to situate the historical foundations that underpin our political, economical and cultural formation. In a second step we bring particular aspects of the process of formation of the state of Espirito Santo, territory in which the research takes field. Aspects of the notion of youth(s) and the relationship of these elements to the history of the rights of children and youth were also discussed throughout the paper. From this author's experience with youth in custody and reflections built along the academic livelihood it was built up a field survey that sought to give voice to the subjects criminalized. This was one of the strategies chosen as a possible mechanism of deconstruction of prejudices and stigmas, as well as understanding the effects of criminalization process on its addressees. The criminalization of ever larger portions of the impoverished working class has been the strategy adopted by the State to cope with the absence of social responses that combat, effectively, the structural violence characteristic of Brazilian society. The field research was based on a qualitative sample and performed by using methods in oral history. Ten (10) young people in custody - who were in the Unidade de Internação Socioeducativa da região metropolitana do Espírito Santo (UNIS) - were interviewed in June to July 2013. This part supported the empirical analysis performed in this work and joins the secondary data presented in this dissertation.

We can never opt out of these big questions” : A qualitative interview study of how teachers for the younger ages interpret, plan, and carry out teaching social issues in the subject of social studies

Stenholm, Emma January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to examine how teachers for the younger ages perceive the conceptof social issues and what subject-specific didactic considerations they make regarding them intheir social studies teaching. The research questions that the paper aimed to answer are whatsubject-specific didactic considerations teachers for the younger ages make in their teaching ofsocial issues, and what role does the teacher believe they take or should take in social studiesteaching. Previous research regarding teaching social issues has examined the teaching of olderstudents. This, together with the few descriptions in the policy documents regarding socialissues for younger students, is the basis for the interest to fulfill this study. The method is based on a phenomenographic research approach and empirics were collectedthrough qualitative semi-structured interviews. A total of six teachers were interviewed, withformal qualifications in the subject of social studies. Their answers were then analyzed basedon the theory within the phenomenographic research approach and Vygotsky's socioculturalperspective. The result consists of three qualitatively different categories that describe the teacher'sperception of the concept of social issues and teaching of the content including the purpose andmethod. The results show that teachers work with social issues from a democratic perspective,a values-based perspective and based on current events.

Segura, Laura January 2022 (has links)
The aim of this study is presented by two steps. The first is to gain an insight into what students think regarding sustainable development and religion. The second is to investigate what content in sustainable development can be used in religious studies through the students' perspective and how this content can be implemented to promote the work for sustainable development in schools. Seventeen qualitative semi-structured interviews with mainly open questions are performed. The focus is to get information about how Swedish high school students reason about and reflect on sustainable development and how they reflect on its connection to religion and to religious studies. The empirical result is analysed and discussed. The conclusions show that the respondents wish a sustainable society with a lifestyle without excessive consumption and thereby without environmental problems, with security and with a good education. They emphasize the importance of a meaningful, safe, and challenging education on religious studies. They are willing to discuss in depth and with respect for the different opinions that may emerge, about different perceptions of sustainable development that are related to the different identities and ways of religious lifestyles. This can be achieved through a communicative approach in the classroom, with a goal to create the dialogic classroom

Cross-Sector Collaboration in Cross-Border Areas: The Case of Röstånga

Mogren, Thomas, Tabar, Sadik January 2014 (has links)
Some administrative border areas are recently defined as cross-border areas, and have become a key phenomenon that is challenged by disparities between urban and rural areas. In this setting, the cross-sector collaboration is presented as a type of organization to respond challenges generating from these disparities. Despite its complexity, the cross-sector collaboration is becoming a significant strategy in cross-border areas to instigate sustainable development issues through bringing new dynamics into the traditional settings. From a realist perspective, the researchers in this study explore the cross-sector collaboration and approaches to organizing cross-sector collaboration in cross-border areas. Each side ofan administrative border in cross-border areas, there exists three main societal sectors - public, private and third sector having representation as collaboration stakeholders. In order to deal with sustainable development of cross-border areas through cross-sector collaboration, resource management and stakeholder management approaches are problematized as not adequate to address various dimensions of complexities regarded in cross-sector collaboration in cross-border areas. Moreover, the village of Röstånga has been studied in order to examine the practice of these approaches to cross-sector collaboration along the administrative border between Svalöv and Klippan municipalities in Skåne region.Fundamental factors in organizing cross-sector collaboration in cross-border areas have been identified throughout the case study. In order to organize cross-sector collaboration in such setting, the researchers also find out that there are 'other issues', commonly known by public and third sector as meeting points, local logic and social capital, that are not approached within neither resource management nor stakeholder management approach. These other issues need to be instantly addressed in cross-sector collaboration in cross-border rural areas in addition to the identified fundamental factors. At the end, the researchersdevelop 'Social Issue Management Approach' that integrates management-with-stakeholders approach, as having no focal organization but a common focal issue, and social issue approach as an ideal strategy suggested to organize cross-sector collaboration in cross-border areas.

INTEGRAÇÃO REGIONAL E A QUESTÃO SOCIAL: PROGRAMA MERCOSUL SOCIAL E PARTICIPATIVO

No. of bitstreams: 1 Rafael Naves de Oliveira Santos.pdf: 447606 bytes, checksum: f7d60830585b537f8261a546a394ba3a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-04-29 / Mercosur, as regional integration process based on commercial arrangements and mercantile interests, search, against time, establish the purpose for which it was created - much more ambitious than a simple commercial arrangement - namely those reserved to the model common market which presupposes the customs union and trade policies marking with other countries, the free flow of manpower, among other features. However, this ripening depends especially social participation, so there is greater acceptance that national integration is proposed. In this sense, the participation of civil society, through organizations that make up the third sector is necessary to impose that the social question is best debated and discussed in the meetings and forums of MERCOSUR. Thus we find in the program MERCOSUR Social and Participatory gradual increase of attention given by the Brazilian government to greater social participation in the process of regional integration in MERCOSUR. Therefore, we analyze the program from the approach of social issues and regional integration, conceptualize and characterize civil society and the MERCOSUR, in order to contextualize the third sector in the process of regional integration through analysis and reflection on the program MERCOSUR Social and participatory.

Hållbarhetsfrågor vid produktion av An old friend / Corporal Social Responsibility when producing the line An old friend

Lantz, Elin January 2012 (has links)
Därför är även det viktigt för MAD ELF ART.I have looked into how MAD ELF ART can work with environmental and social aspects during production. My assignment has been to find a materialsupplier and manufacturer who can work with this in the best way possible.During this work I have contacted several materialsuppliers and manufacturers and examined how they work with these aspects. At the same time I have also looked into how we can deal with social and environmental aspects to find the best way for us to work with this.I have come to the conclusion that the choice of material is the most important and what differs a product from being a danger for the environment and human beings to a environmental friend. Because of that I will present a materialsupplier and manufacturer who can provide the material 100% silk wich is organically dyed and handwoven. Silk leaves no energy-footprint and is recycable. I believe that the future will have more focus on the environment and that we will work with more ecologic materials and instead of producing new products, we will recycle what we have through a recyclingsystem for textiles. The development of big companies also points in the direcetion that it will be natural for all companies to have a Code of conduct and work with Corporal Social Responsility. / Program: Textil produktutveckling med entreprenörs- och affärsinriktning
