Recriando áfricas: subalternidade e identidade africana no camdoblé de Ketu / Recreating Africas: subordination and identity in African camdoblé of Ketu

LOUZADA, Natália do Carmo 16 December 2011 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Natalia do Carmo Louzada.pdf: 4870193 bytes, checksum: f0f8e104a1afb22bb8ad2f7dddd3ee7b (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-12-16 / The history of Candomblé as a diasporic recreation originated from the forced migration of enslaved Africans involves the persecution and demonization processes that undertook the subordination of black people and the African culture in Brazil, as well as the cultural hybridity that enabled the reinvention and, at the same time, the maintenance of an African identity in the scope of this religion. Thence, focusing on the cultural negotiation dynamics developed by the povo-de-santo , the present paper purposes itself to analyze the way in which the principles of purity, tradition preservation and assertion of Africanness, characteristics of Candomblé, relate to the survival strategies developed by this religion which, throughout the 20th century, has ceased to be only stigmatized as primitive to become an expression of African cultural heritage, integrating the Brazilian cultural patrimony. In this study, we aim to comprehend how academic theories, the national artistic scene, as well as the different social and political factors of Brazilian history, articulate themselves to the agency of Candomblé in the celebration of the nagô Africanness and in the rise of the nation of Ketu. To understand this issue, it is relevant to search for a possible association of the refusal of syncretism and the African authenticity assertion that mark the referred nation‟s identity with the cultural negotiation mechanisms that allowed the expansion and survival of the Candomblé de Ketu in cities like Goiânia, in which the modernity speech segregated social and spatially undesirable subjects and cultural manifestations through the eyes of the reiteration of modern cities and societies‟ imaginary. Lastly, this paper has as its ultimate goal to perceive the likely correlations between the history of Candomblé and the constitution of new cultural identities forged in the scope of post-colonial societies, in which the cultural and religion tradition with Amerindian and African origins survives by means of a constant process of cosmopolitan reframing and appropriation of modern Western elements that, destabilizing the euro centered system of social representation, enables the insurrection of subordinated subjects and knowledge.

This procedure generated damage to the female identity , insofar as reproduced, in the present , the notion that women were absent from large and small events that marked social life in our society , and engaged to reaffirm the values that have kept women away from the world of politics. “Experiências femininas na política goiana. At the same time, making use of the experience of Gercina Borges Teixeira and by means of oral history and combination of other sources, presents the joint that, over time, in Goiás, they created to act in this field without restrictions imposed on women. Uma releitura da subordinação / A reconsideration of subordination

José Carlos Callegari 19 April 2012 (has links)
The legal subordination is an indispensable element for the characterization of the employment relationship, base of the standards of labor law. Considering this is wich fundamental importance to understand its real meaning and dimension in the contemporary context of profound changes in the workplace, including altering the way the law is part of the reality. The subordination of labor to capital creates a group of holders of manpower that need the necessary protection of labor law. This analysis is important to understand the world of labour and the necessary legal protection conferred on it by the labor law. This study is looking to shed on these structural issues to increase labor protections and regulate the labor relations from the values of the function of labor and the improvement of economic and social conditions of workers.

As novas faces da subordinação no contrato de trabalho / The new visage of subordination in labour contract

Tatiana Guimarães Ferraz Andrade 16 April 2012 (has links)
This dissertation aims to study the new forms of subordinations in labour contract, due to the transformation in the way of production after globalization and the introduction of new technologies. In order to justify the importance of the study, it demonstrates the equivalence between free enterprise and the social value of work, so that economy and work shall walk together, avoiding disturbance at the system. Furthermore, it is necessary to refer to the historical evolution of subordination into labour law, as well as the definition of subordinate work and the criteria used by jurisprudence, considering the lack of law. Once established the study of subordination, it will proceed to the analysis of external factors that provoked modification in work, as the 70s economical recession, globalization process and automation of the ways of production. These factors conducted to the creation of new forms of services, which are not adjusted to subordinate work pattern, but at the same time, cannot be considered as full self-employed. Indeed, it generates a social evasion of employees, marginalised form correct protection, as they do not fit to the model practised by labour law, which is divided between subordinated work and self-employed. Finally, it presents proposals from doctrine and jurisprudence in order to give a solution to the problem, and adequate the subordination criteria to work reality.

Decoherence, Master Equation for Open Quantum Systems, and the Subordination Theory

Giraldi, Filippo 08 1900 (has links)
This thesis addresses the problem of a form of anomalous decoherence that sheds light into the spectroscopy of blinking quantum dots. The system studied is a two-state system, interacting with an external environment that has the effect of establishing an interaction between the two states, via a coherence generating coupling, called inphasing. The collisions with the environment produce also decoherence, named dephasing. Decoherence is interpreted as the entanglement of the coherent superposition of these two states with the environment. The joint action of inphasing and dephasing generates a Markov master equation statistically equivalent to a random walker jumping from one state to the other. This model can be used to describe intermittent fluorescence, as a sequence of "light on" and "light off" states. The experiments on blinking quantum dots indicate that the sojourn times are distributed with an inverse power law. Thus, a proposal to turn the model for Poisson fluorescence intermittency into a model for non-Poisson fluorescence intermittency is made. The collision-like interaction of the two-state system with the environment is assumed to takes place at random times rather than at regular times. The time distance between one collision and the next is given by a distribution, called the subordination distribution. If the subordination distribution is exponential, a sequence of collisions yielding no persistence is turned into a sequence of "light on" and "light off" states with significant persistence. If the subordination function is an inverse power law the sequel of "light on" and "light off" states becomes equivalent to the experimental sequences. Different conditions are considered, ranging from predominant inphasing to predominant dephasing. When dephasing is predominant the sequel of "light on" and "light off" states in the time asymptotic limit becomes an inverse power law. If the predominant dephasing involves a time scale much larger than the minimum time scale accessible to the experimental observation, thereby generating persistence, the resulting distribution becomes a Mittag-Leffler function. If dephasing is predominant, in addition to the inverse power law distribution of "light off" and "light on" time duration, a strong correlation between "light on" and "light off" state is predicted.

Emergence of Complexity from Synchronization and Cooperation

Geneston, Elvis L. 05 1900 (has links)
The dynamical origin of complexity is an object of intense debate and, up to moment of writing this manuscript, no unified approach exists as to how it should be properly addressed. This research work adopts the perspective of complexity as characterized by the emergence of non-Poisson renewal processes. In particular I introduce two new complex system models, namely the two-state stochastic clocks and the integrate-and-fire stochastic neurons, and investigate its coupled dynamics in different network topologies. Based on the foundations of renewal theory, I show how complexity, as manifested by the occurrence of non-exponential distribution of events, emerges from the interaction of the units of the system. Conclusion is made on the work's applicability to explaining the dynamics of blinking nanocrystals, neuron interaction in the human brain, and synchronization processes in complex networks.

Vymanění se z nadvlády a ustanovení nezávislé politiky: Analýza saúdsko-katarských vztahů a jejich dopad na oblast Perského zálivu / Breaking free from the dominance and establishing independent policy: The analysis of Saudi-Qatari relations and its implications on the region of the Persian Gulf

Denk, Matěj January 2021 (has links)
The main topic of the thesis Breaking Free from the Dominance and Establishing Independent Policy: The Analysis of Saudi-Qatari Relations and its Implications on the Region of the Persian Gulf is a thorough analysis of the historical developments of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar. This hierarchical relationship between the two states is analysed according to the theories of alliance formation, MENA foreign policy analyses and international hierarchy. The aim of the thesis is to ascertain how Qatar was able to break free from the subordinate position within the hierarchical relationship with Saudi Arabia. Contrary to other existing research within the field which explains the end of subordination mostly with the crisis in the dominant state, the present thesis addresses other possible factors in the subordinate state that ultimately cause the evasion of the subordination with particular emphasis on the case study in question. The thesis proposes a classification of several distinct eras in Saudi - Qatari relations and verifies them against the theories described above. The thesis' findings support the hypothesis that subordinate states can evade the subordination without a crisis in the dominant, but only in a very specific set of circumstances, which...

Limity závislosti zaměstnance v poměru závislé práce / The Limits of subordination of employee during dependant work

Ludačka, Jan January 2022 (has links)
83 The Limits of subordination of employee during dependant work Abstract An employment relationship is one of a civil law relationships. It differs from other civil law relationships because of its object, i.e. a dependant work and unequal positions of its subjects. At the time of commencement of the employment relationship, an employee becomes subordinate to an employer and the employee obliges to follow the instructions of the employer. The employee spends substantial part of his or her working day in this unequal relationship. Superordinate position of the employer is not absolute. In the history of the Czech labour law, we can see attempts to express this limitation of superordinate position of the employers. For example, the draft of the civil code from 1996 declares that an employee can refuse to perform the instruction of an employer which is not in compliance with the employment contract or the collective agreement and that an employee shall refuse to perform the task which is not in compliance with law. However, the act No. 262/2006 Sb., labour code, only declares that an employee shall perform instructions of an employer if they are made in compliance with law. Such absence of regulation shall not be interpreted in the way that a scope of the superordinate position of the employer is not limited....

Understanding Internalized Oppression: A Theoretical Conceptualization of Internalized Subordination

Williams, Teeomm K. 01 September 2012 (has links)
Internalized oppression is one of the conceptual foundations of social justice education. Though the literature on internalized oppression is rich with descriptive data, little theory has been developed in this area. To date, the field of Social Justice Education has been limited by this oversight. Drawing upon the work of theorists who have examined this topic across a variety of social identities, this study presents a generalizable framework for understanding and analyzing internalized oppression. More specifically, this research focuses on the internalized oppression of subordinant groups, also known as internalized subordination. The framework presented within this study identifies internalized oppression as having three core components or "defining elements": process, state, and action. It is intended to be used as a foundation and starting point for, rather than in lieu of, the examination of the internalized oppression specific to particular social identities. Further, this framework is intended to benefit both scholars and practitioners of social justice and will aide in the development of methodologies and pedagogies aimed at interrupting internalized oppression and promoting liberatory consciousness.
