Previous issue date: 2014-02-24 / The present work was made over the perspective that the spaghetti westerns, Italian
western films produced for the popular cinemas between the 1960s and 1970s, represent
the frontier myth on cinema as a parody, in a way that subvert the basic premises of the
classical American western and, doing that, perform the frontier myth ironicaly, sustaining
itself on a rhetoric that is a rebut to the ideal of progress. Instead of the formalist film
analysis, we propose an interpretation of the films researched trough their appropriation by
the public, concurring with the theoretical proposal of the reception theory and the parody
theory. The spaghetti westerns are here analyzed as a carnivalized vision of its referent,
refreshing it for the public, following the large number of social convulsions and crisis that
emerge in the western world in the middle of the 1960s.
1960.

Método de mapeamento de tecnologia considerando a estratégia technology push e adoção de parcerias / Method of mapping technology considering the technology push strategy and adoption of partnershipsSouza, Mauro Caetano de 10 June 2010 (has links)
The literature about technology roadmapping method presents a focus to enterprises, which has it innovation process oriented to the market and product predetermined, using the market pull strategy to technology-product integration. The research organizations, like institutes and independent laboratory, also need similar methods, however they have predominance to technology push strategy to integration, with their innovation process oriented to the scientific discovery. The application of mapping method to this kind of strategy has little analysis by the literature. The existing methods presents a lack to systematize the partnership at the innovation process, trend dictated by the open innovation paradigm. Literature reviews support these affirmations, evidencing the lack in the theory. The results of reviews were applied in an action research, conducted during one year in a research laboratory, belonging to a Brazilian research institute with nearly 40 year old. The results of this thesis are a method to technology roadmapping, considering the partnership adoption and specific to the technology push strategy. Identified as MTP, the method fills the gaps presented. Is differentials is the starting from an idea or technology opportunity, a process to choose potentials markets and a systematic to identify and plan partnerships. The method was assessing from two aspects: the differential and originality comparing to another methods proposes at the literature, and related to perception of users about is application feasibility at the organization analyzed. The first evaluation was made by a final bibliographic review to theory comparing the MTP with another ones available at literature. The second one was made at a group with eleven researches from the organization, which answered a structured questionnaire previously with questions related the method operation feasibility. The results of these analyses show the unprecedented nature of the MTP and the application possibility at the organization. Application of this method are suggested in most organizations to improve it and validate it among the scientific community, making possible its utilization from organizations which presents a technology push integration strategy and adopt partnerships.

Previous issue date: 2013-07-26 / The study consists in investigate how aesthetics arises as significant element in the composition of the dialogue Republic. It pass through this work from the beginning to the end
framing it in beauty. There are numerous passages that mention the archaic poets, it worships the music, as such as the art of the Muses, the appreciation of harmony, the rhythm, by the symmetry, finally, there is in the Republic a aesthetic care in its architecture. Having seen, then, that beauty occupies a considerable place in the dialogue, we look for to valorize it and put it in evidence from the artistic, to forge a path that lead us, increasingly, to face the beauty
as something not be restricted to the sensible, since, in the case of Plato, the most splendorous beauty lies in the intelligible. In this sense, we propose to take the Platonic metaphysics of ideas as intelligible aesthetic, aiming at finding the beautiful supersensible possible be contemplated by the philosophical intellect. This is because the ideas are intelligible forms , which are shown in its perfection to the intellect. The idea is essentially one single unit, which sensible objects imitates and receives their being. In other words, the idea is the aspect that presents itself to the intellect of the philosopher. And with this intention of taking Platonic
metaphysics as intelligible aesthetic, we made some considerations about image and vision . Such considerations follow in the direction of taking the image as a metaphor, as
figurative language used as a resource to leads to souls to intelligible, and vision, means intellectual vision, a philosophical view. Finally, we will see, the activity of philosopher will
Havendo

Previous issue date: 2009-08-14 / In the last years, in rooms and academic corridors or in day by day of work with clients we notice that much has if debited in the count of the propaganda. But, at last, which would be the extract of this activity? Would it be the propaganda like language of seduction, guilty or innocent? Till do I provide the propaganda with a bridge it has the promise with the education and the formation of the character of the citizen? This work tries to think about these questions and, supported in elements of the analysis of the speech of French line presents aspects of this elucidatory process, between them, the relations between the verbal language and not verbal, the ideological load, the intra-discursive and the ethos. The choice of the corpus composed by eight announcements of the Brazilian publicity that board questions on the social
responsibility translates the relevance of the subject Propaganda of Ideas and Ideals, as soon as, the works referring to the publicity speech have been acting in the field of the spread of products and consumer goods in his majority. The Propaganda of Ideas and You Devise though it uses the same beginnings and techniques of the propaganda of consumer goods differ of this, so it discusses subjects of relevance for completely, very much besides the part (questions of global and less specific interest), boarding important subjects like environment, domestic violence, and
childlike labor between others. So, with questions of this relevance they help the promise of the propaganda exceedingly in the spread, in the combat and in the reduction of problems of nature environmental-economical partner.

Initial minimum viable product development in software startups:a startup ecosystem perspectiveTripathi, N. (Nirnaya) 19 November 2019 (has links)
Abstract
Context: Software startups are new companies that aim at developing innovative software-intensive products that stand out from those of other companies in the target market. A successful startup tries to scale its business rapidly, which in turn leads to job creation and an increase number in local products. Product development is an essential aspect of a software startup’s business, and therefore it is important to have a suitable startup ecosystem around a startup to support a new product idea from conception to development to a minimum viable product (MVP) and finally to a full-fledged product. Objective: The objective of this doctoral research is to understand the effect of the startup ecosystem elements on an initial MVP development in software startups and thereby assist startup companies in developing successful products.
Method: To achieve the objective, two multivocal literature reviews and multiple empirical studies were conducted to examine: a) the elements in a startup ecosystem, b) initial MVP development in software startups, and c) the effects of startup ecosystem elements on the initial MVP development phase.
Results: This doctoral research identified eight main elements in the startup ecosystem that affect the startup and its product development. Additionally, it was found that a product idea is based on a problem experienced by customers or on an unserved customer need. The requirements for developing an initial MVP from the product idea usually come from internal sources, and the elicited requirements are stored in text documents and prioritized based on their value to customers and stakeholders. These requirements are converted into product features, of which some can be used to develop a prototype that can act as an initial MVP. Furthermore, it was observed that the startup ecosystem elements can influence the initial MVP development phase. For instance, supporting organizations such as incubators and accelerators affect initial MVPs by assisting inexperienced founders with training and mentoring during MVP development. Conclusion: A prototype can be used as an initial MVP. Also, experienced founders prefer to develop an initial MVP by themselves, while, inexperienced founders need support from supporting organizations in a startup ecosystem during initial MVP development.

以想法為中心的知識翻新學習對團隊創造力之影響 / The effects of idea-centered knowledge building on group creativity張宇慧, Chang, Yu Hui Unknown Date (has links)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of knowledge building pedagogy and Knowledge forum (KF) technology on groups’ collaborative and creative processes in a college class. Participants were 30 college students who took a university course about living technologies. Data sources and analyses included: (1) students’ online activities, recorded in a KF database, which was assessed using descriptive statistics, (2) students’ online discourse data which were content-analyzed using Interaction Analysis Model (Gunawardena, Lowe & Anderson, 1997); (3) groups’ technology products which was peer-assessed using a survey called “Creative Product Analysis Matrix” (Besemer, 1998); and (4) “Creative Climate Questionnaire (CCQ)” (Tseng & Wu, 2000; Ekvall, 1987) which was adopted to evaluate the characteristics of Knowledge Forum being a creative learning environment. After 18 weeks of knowledge building, the findings indicated enhanced performance in terms of three dimensions of group creativity (i.e., product, process, and place): (1) first, in terms of product, in this study, students developed ten technology products by means of initially proposing original ideas and then progressively improving them, with the guidance of a set of 12 knowledge building principles. The results showed that students were able to propose novel and useful technology products; (2) in terms of process, findings based on content analysis showed that students could creatively work with their ideas while opportunistically collaborating with others both within and beyond groups; and (3) in terms of place, the results based on the CCQ suggested that, of all 10 factors that characterize a creative environment, six of them, including playfulness/humor, idea support, liveliness, debate, trust/openness, and freedom, were rated much superior than the means of two other reference/comparison groups—Taiwanese graduate students (n=703) and Swedish company employees (n=245). To conclude, the results showed that an idea-centered knowledge-building environment was helpful for students to become more engaged in generating, exchanging, and co-elaborating ideas while debating, collaborating and discussing with one another in an environment that is conducive to group creativity.

Even though terrorism has been on the political agenda for several years there is no general accepted definition of the phenomena of terrorism. Several scientist do also apply that terrorism have changed after the 9/11-attacks. The purpose with this thesis was to analyze and compare the image of terrorism represented by the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden and Norway, in an attempt to draw conclusions about similarities and differentials. The material that was used was these four nations individual counter terrorism strategy. This was made by using idea analysis and self constructed dimensions based on earlier science about security, terrorism and international law. A result of this study showed that there is a consensus about terrorism as a high existential threat because of the religious extremism that is related to Al Qaeda and justifies mass murder and have showed attempt to acquire weapons of mass destruction. On this adoption the nations in this study justifies extraordinary actions in cooperation against global terrorism. It is however some differentials about the means to counter this threat. The United States, United Kingdom and Norway describes in their strategy that the threat of Al Qaeda and its allies should be met by military force. United Kingdom describes that the military action is to consider as an exception based on the extraordinary threat that Al Qaeda poses. Sweden on the other hand shows a description of terrorism as a criminal act that should be met by national measures.

The Struggle For Efficiency : Implementation and Translation of an Efficiency Method in Small Manufacturing CompaniesStrömblad, Maria, Cenusa, Cosmin, Johansson, Cecilia January 2009 (has links)
This thesis puts focus on the points where organisations perceive, translate and implement a new organisational idea, and the implementation and translation of one specific efficiency method is studied. We have looked at how a group of small manufacturing companies have implemented an efficiency method (Efficient production/Lean Production) and how they have translated it to fit their own organisation. The authors were interested in finding out both about the challenges and the positive outcomes of implementing an efficiency method in a company. While getting to know more about the subject, the translator’s (the person responsible of implementing the method into the own organisation) role and importance to the implementation became more interesting. In cooperation with a Host Company (HC), a decision was made to study a group of small manufacturing companies who had all participated in one of HC’s programs, Lean School for Small Companies. To be able to make generalisations from the results, a multiple-case study was carried out. To fulfil our purpose and gain a somewhat objective understanding of the processes of implementation we decided that it was necessary to interview two people from each company, one that had attended the Lean School and one who did not, but was directly affected by the efficiency method in daily work. The empirical findings were analysed in the light of the theoretical ideas we found about implementation of efficiency methods and translation of organisational ideas. The results of the study were in many aspects consistant with the theories found on the subject. The processes of an implementation is complex and are affected by the factors commitment of leaders, problems or obstacles, the translators role and ability to manage the translation process and, furthermore, by knowledge input.

Development of a Studio Art Curriculum for the Concentration Section of the Advanced Placement Drawing PortfolioLovell, Bonnie R 04 December 2006 (has links)
This thesis presents an Advanced Placement curriculum for the concentration section of the Drawing Portfolio. It is intended as a teaching tool to encourage and develop creative strategies related to idea generation and refinement based on creative problem solving, which is essential to the development of an effective concentration. One of the most difficult problems faced by Advanced Placement Studio Art students is idea generation for the artwork related to a central topic for the concentration section of their portfolios. This curriculum introduces lessons based on artist research, brainstorming, synectics, and SCAMPER techniques designed to foster creative idea generation for artwork development. It also gives students a tool with which to analyze the ideas generated based on specific criteria necessary to the concentration. This curriculum specifically encourages the creative process in students and provides teachers with a foundation with which to begin a unique and highly personal journey by the individual student.
