媒體素養教育融入九年一貫社會學習領域--第四階段能力指標與課程發展雛議白佳麒, Pai, Chia-Chi Unknown Date (has links)
媒體素養教育的發展在近十年已成為各國積極推動之重要教學內涵,由於媒體教育目的在啟發學生對於媒體的感知與思辨能力,一般而言,較沒有固定的教材與教學模式,故過去現場教師對於媒體教育一直存有實踐之困境,在九年一貫教育體制與教學方法的變革下,對於媒體教育而言,提供了更多的融入契機與教學空間,本論文主要之研究目的在發展媒體素養融入九年一貫社會學習領域七到九年級之能力指標與教案範例,藉以拉進學理論述與現場教師教學行動的距離,搭起理論與實踐的橋樑。
本研究之研究設計主要依循課程發展程序,首先採文獻調查與事實探究的方式,對英國、加拿大、澳洲與美國現有之媒體素養教育在社會領域能力指標的實際發展狀況進行瞭解,比較各國間的差異,並對照我國媒體素養之發展需求與社會學習領域現有之教科書內涵,結合相關理論背景,以及我國之社會與教育情境,思考可行的選擇,發展與建議我國媒體素養融入社會領域之能力指標與學習內涵。
經初步建立能力指標發展雛議後,依課程設計步驟將指標所欲達到之能力要求與媒體素養學習目標轉換為可行之教案範例,並經專家、學者評鑑後,修正教學目標、教學活動設計、與學習單建議等,最後完成十四個教案範例,教學內涵以教育部公告之媒體素養白皮書的五大核心為基礎,並結合各教科書社會領域之課程,在七到九年級的學習階段中,各年級均有二至三個教學主題,並配合公共電視所製作的教學媒體資源進行教學,希冀以此作為媒體教育現場教師教學應用之參考。 / The development of media literacy has been a focus of governments around the world in recent years. Since the goal of media literacy is to enlighten the students on sense of media and ability of critical thinking, there is no fixed material and teaching pattern for that. In the past, on-site teachers were stuck with the realization of media education. With the revolution of Grade 1-9 Curriculum system and teaching methods, it provides more opportunities and spaces for media literacy. The goal of this research is to integrate the media literacy into the competence indicators and sample teaching plan of Grade 7-9 of curriculum on social studies learning areas, in order to shorten the distance between theoretic statement and action of teaching and bridge the theory and practice.
The design of this research is based on the curriculum development. First of all, we investigate the current situation of media literacy on competence indicators in social studies learning areas in Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and U.S. by literature review and fact exploration. The development plan and advices on the integration of media literacy into competence indicators and learning intension in social studies learning areas are proposed based on comparison of different country’s situation, development requirements and current teaching materials of our country, related theories, and current social and education conditions of our country.
After the initial establishment of competence indicators, we try to convert the ability requirement and learning goal of media literacy appointed by the indicator into viable sample teaching plans according to the curriculum deign procedures. After the assessment by specialists and scholars, the teaching goal, schedule, and suggestions will be modified and 14 sample-teaching plans will be formed. The teaching intensions include the five core concept listed in the Literacy Education White Book published by the Department of Education in 2002. 2-3 teaching themes are set for the teaching of Grade 7-9, combining with curriculums of different textbooks. The teaching is implemented together with the public TV teaching programs. Hope our research is helpful for the on-site teacher of media education.

Esse contexto levou à reflexão sobre verificação da atualização e aplicação dos padrões de competência para atender de maneira satisfatória à realidade brasileira. Trata-se de uma pesquisa aplicada com abordagem de caráter qualitativo, que teve como objetivo principal analisar os indicadores propostos pelos padrões de Competências em Informação derivados da ACRL/ALA (2000) e verificar
se estes permitem mensurar as “novas” competências (Infocomunicacional e Infomidiática) demandadas no cenário Brasileiro. Dividiu-se em duas etapas: a primeira tratou do levantamento e análise do material bibliográfico que fundamentou as bases teóricas acerca do tema e a segunda de caráter documental, busca, seleção e
análise documental e de conteúdo dos padrões de Competências em Informação selecionados. A revisão destes padrões permitiu identificar não só as diferenças e
semelhanças, mas também apontar a necessidade de aprimoramento de seus
indicadores, para contemplar aspectos que não foram pensados ou levados em
consideração na realidade em que se deu sua elaboração. / ABSTRACT
In the context of the information society, where the creation and dissemination of
information are in their essence, added to global change in higher education to form
citizens for the twenty-first century, the need for new skills is perceived, which
includes multiple literacies, for example, Infomedia and infocommunication literacy,
which are expansions of Information literacy. This context led to reflection about the verification of the upgrade and application of the competency standards to attend satisfactorily to the Brazilian reality. This is an applied research with a qualitative approach, which had as the main goal to analyze the proposed indicators by
evaluation standards of Information Literacy studied and present an analytical model
that allows identifying if the studied standards allow measuring the "new" skills
(infocommunication literacy and Info-Media Literacy) demanded in the Brazilian
scenario. It was divided into two stages: the first treated the survey and analysis of
bibliographic material that justified the theoretical basis of the topic and the second of the documentary character, search, selection and document and content analysis of the standards competence analyzed. A review of these standards identified not only
the differences and similarities, but also point out the need to improve its indicators to contemplate aspects that were not thought of or considered in the reality of their
preparation.

The thesis debates the issue of mass communication and one of its important parts - advertisment. It is focusing on advertisment aimed at children, describes the means and sources of its regulation - be it legal or self-regulation. It explains the workings of the Committee for advertisment and compares the legal regulation and self-regulation in Slovakia and Germany. The thesis is pointing at the need of regulation of unethical advertisments which is abusing its influence on the child consumers. It is also stressing the need of teaching children media literacy which should be the children's first line of defence against the influence of advertisment.

Previous issue date: 2018-03-01 / A internet, as redes sociais e as tecnologias da informação e da comunicação propiciaram novos espaços de defesa, promoção e lutas pela consolidação dos direitos humanos. No entanto, o ativismo político e os movimentos sociais convivem com mecanismos de inteligência artificial e sistemas de informação e comunicação que polarizam as informações e notícias gerando censura e desinformação. O pluralismo de vozes e a diversidade cultural propagada pela nova tecnologia informacional nos espaços digitais encontram barreiras nos algoritmos, big data, analfabetismo informacional e comunicacional e na manipulação das fontes. Cada vez mais, surge a necessidade de preparar o cidadão midiatizado para o uso das novas ferramentas tecnológicas como forma de inclusão social e garantia de direito e proteção à liberdade de informação e comunicação. Este estudo buscou analisar a produção científica nacional e internacional sobre o tema direitos humanos nas mídias digitais sob a ótica da promoção, defesa e divulgação de direitos nos espaços de comunicação propiciados pelas mídias digitais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza descritiva e exploratória que se alicerçadou na Revisão Sistemática da Literatura. As perguntas norteadoras da revisão foram: Qual o atual estado da arte da produção científica nacional e internacional sobre os temas diretos humanos na mídia digital? Como os direitos humanos são abordados pela literatura científica nacional e internacional, no contexto da sociedade midiatizada e nos espaços de comunicação? Como as mídias digitais podem contribuir para a construção do pluralismo de vozes, diversidade cultural, ativismo político, exercício dos direitos de informação e comunicação na era digital? A busca por estudos foi realizada na Scientific Electronic Library Online, no banco de Teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior e na base de dados internacional Scopus. A equação de busca foi constituída pelos seguintes descritores: "Direitos Humanos" e "Mídia Digital". O operador boleano "AND" foi utilizado para combinação das palavras-chave nos bancos de dados. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa foram considerados os seguintes critérios: 1) busca automática título por título, resumo por resumo; 2) seleção de estudos de qualquer natureza (revisão de literatura, estudos de caso, publicações em forma de carta e conferência, teses, dissertações e monografias), disponibilizados na íntegra, que mencionassem direta ou indiretamente o objeto de pesquisa, entre os anos de 2000 a 2017; 3) exclusão de publicações não disponibilizados na íntegra e 4) rejeição de estudos duplicados. Após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionadas doze publicações de um total de 772 disponíveis, na biblioteca e bases de dados. Notou-se uma produção científica ainda incipiente no Brasil e deveras tímido no âmbito internacional em se tratando de publicações indexadas na base de dados Scopus. Conclui-se que existe uma lacuna na produção científica nacional e internacional sobre o assunto. Essa lacuna impacta diretamente na compreensão do papel da mídia digital, da alfabetização midiática e informacional e da educação em direitos humanos na promoção e defesa de direitos nos novos espaços de comunicação. / The internet, social networks and information and communication technologies have provided new spaces for advocacy, promotion and efforts for the consolidation of human rights. However, political activism and social movements coexist with mechanisms of artificial intelligence and information and communication systems which polarize information and news, generating censorship and misinformation. The pluralism of voices and the cultural diversity propagated by the new information technology in the digital spaces, find barriers in algorithms, big data, informational and communicational illiteracy and in the manipulation of sources. It becomes necessary to prepare the mediated citizen for the use of new technological tools as a form of social inclusion and guarantee of rights and protection to freedom of information and communication. This study aimed to analyze the national and international scientific production on the subject concerning human rights and digital media from the point of view of promotion, defense and diffusion of rights in the spaces of communication provided by digital media. It is a descriptive and exploratory research, based on the Systematic Review of Literature. The guiding questions of the review were: What is the current state of the art of the national and international scientific production on the human rights in digital media? How are human rights addressed by national and international scientific literature in the context of mediated society and in the media? How can digital media contribute to the construction of pluralism of voices, cultural diversity, political activism, use of information and communication rights in the digital age? The search for studies was conducted at the Scientific Electronic Library Online, at the Thesis Bank of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel and at the international Scopus database. The search equation was constituted by the following descriptors: "Human Rights" and "Digital Media". The Boolean operator "AND" was used to merge the keywords into the databases. For the development of the research the following criteria were considered: 1) automatic search title by title, summary by summary; 2) selection of studies of any nature (literature review, case studies, publications in the form of letters and conferences, theses, dissertations and monographs), available in full, mentioning directly or indirectly the object of research, from 2000 to 2017; 3) exclusion of publications not available in full and 4) exclusion of duplicate studies. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, twelve publications were selected from a total of 772 available in the library and databases. It was observed a scientific production still incipient in Brazil and insufficient in the international scope, when dealing with publications indexed in the Scopus database. It can be concluded that there is a gap in the national and international scientific production concerning the subject. This gap directly impacts the understanding of the role of digital media, media literacy and human rights education for promoting and defending rights in new communication spaces.

This thesis deals with the teaching of media education at the upper primary school from the perspective of the future teacher of civic education. The first section defines some of the topics that are part of media education and media literacy, they provide the reader basic information about this issue. The practical part contains my own research, whose aim is to identify and compare the development of media education in different schools from the perspective of both pupils of the 9th class and the future teacher of civic education. Part of this practice section are results of the research whose aim was to investigate if teachers systematically and purposefully work with the cross-cutting theme of media education and how they integrate it into education. For the research there was used direct observation in the lessons and questionnaires for pupils of the 9th forms of primary school.

Este trabalho apresenta um arcabouço conceitual para ser aplicado à formação de professores, em curso universitário de especialização (lato sensu), para o desenvolvimento de atividades no campo da linguagem e da produção audiovisual. Profissionais da Educação Básica, que compreende os nove anos do Ensino Fundamental e os três anos do Ensino Médio, representam o público preferencial dessa formação. As diretrizes aqui propostas correspondem também às oportunidades para a inserção do audiovisual na Educação Infantil, no Ensino Superior e na Educação de Jovens e Adultos. O referencial aqui estabelecido procura estar em sintonia com o atual cenário no campo da comunicação social e das artes, bem como com as diretrizes educacionais do país. A partir desse mapeamento conceitual, devidamente conectado com o desenvolvimento do audiovisual ao longo do século XX e na primeira década do século XXI, configura-se a grade de um curso de especialização voltado para a qualificação, nessa área, de profissionais egressos dos cursos de formação de professores e de gestores de educação. O resultado pode ser adaptado para dar origem a uma licenciatura em audiovisual e também, a partir do desmembramento de seus eixos, a cursos de formação pontuais oferecidos por redes de ensino ou estabelecimentos isolados. O uso do termo \"educação audiovisual\" busca traduzir compreensão mais aguda dos fenômenos que, sob efeito do que se convencionou chamar de \"convergência de meios\", de \"revolução digital\" e de \"economia do audiovisual\", geraram transformações profundas nos campos do cinema, da televisão e do vídeo, interligados nas esferas da linguagem, da produção, da difusão e da recepção. / This dissertation presents a conceptual framework to be applied to the formation of teachers, in a university course of specialization (lato sensu), for the development of activities in the field of audiovisual language and production. Professionals of Basic Education, which encompasses the nine years of Elementary School and the three years of Middle School, make up the preferential public for this formation. The directives proposed here correspond also to the opportunities for the insertion of audiovisual in Early Education, Higher Education and Adult and Youth Education. The referential established here seeks to be attuned to the current scenario in the area of social communications and arts, as well as with Brazils education directives. From that conceptual mapping, which here is connected to the development of audiovisual along the 20th Century and the first decade of the 21st Century, is configured the grid of a course of specialization directed to the qualification, in this area, of professionals from the courses of teachers and education managers formation. The results may be adapted to become the source of a teaching degree in audiovisual and also, by separating its main axes, of targeted formation courses offered in education networks or in individual establishments. The use of the term \"audiovisual education\" seeks to translate a more accurate comprehension of the phenomena that, under the effect of what has been agreed to be called media convergence, digital revolution and audiovisual economics, have generated deep changes in the fields of cinema, television and video, which are interconnected in the spheres of language, production, diffusion and reception.

The diploma thesis, by means of a qualitative research, deals with the attitudes, opinions and behaviour towards media of the selected students who are at grade L3 at a technical secondary school at the beginning of the school year and it is focused on potential changes in these attitudes, opinions and behaviour after a half-year attendance of the subject called Multimedia and Project Education which should fulfil aims written in the RVP dealing with the topic called Media Education. During the research 24 dialogues were realized in two periods, at the beginning of the school year of 2015/2016 and after the first term of this school year. After coding, analysis and interpretation of the data it was observed that there were certain changes in some students' opinions and behaviour; however, most of the students' attitudes were the same. The function of the research is rather explorative and it could be a source of inspiration for a further research taken in the field of media education in the Czech Republic. Although the achieved results dealing with the changes in the field of attitudes, opinions and behaviour are valid only for the selected students at the chosen technical secondary school, the value of the work could be also seen in the fact that, by an example of a school, a teacher and a class,...

In der vorliegenden qualitativen Studie wird der Zusammenhang zwischen Biografie und Identitätsarbeit im höheren Lebensalter untersucht. Die Autorinnen betrachten hierbei vor allem die Rolle von Anerkennung als Teil der Identitätsarbeit in ihrer biografischen Verfasstheit sowie die Rolle von Anerkennung im sozialen Kontext einer intergenerationellen Gruppe. Den Medien kommt dabei aufgrund ihres zentralen Stellenwerts innerhalb der Gruppe und den Möglichkeiten, die sie den Subjekten als Orientierungsangebote und Ausdrucksmittel bieten, eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Neben Einblicken in den Zusammenhang von Identitätsarbeit und Biografie diskutiert die Untersuchung ebenso die Bedeutung von Medienkompetenz als Ressource für Anerken-nung und leitet Handlungsempfehlungen für die (intergenerationelle) pädagogische Praxis ab.

First Teachers, Then Students: Media Education in the Czech Republic.Kunzik, Nicole January 2010 (has links)
1 As more media continues to become available, there is an ever-growing need to consider how certain technologies and media messages affect users and society overall. The aim of this dissertation is to develop an understanding of media literacy in the Czech Republic and to investigate its significance within education, particularly teacher education. The research methods adopted for this study include an in-depth review of relevant media literacy literature, coupled with interviews from Czech Pedagogical Faculty members, and analyses of Czech national policy and university curricular documents. The findings from this work show that the main benefit of media literacy in primary and secondary schools is a non-hierarchical learning environment that encourages discussion, interaction, and critical thinking amongst students. Additionally, current media education policy in the Czech Republic is found to be ineffective. The main conclusion is that with more required media literacy courses or even a national standard for media literacy in teacher education programmes, the Czech Republic could improve teaching methods and present policy.
