In this dissertation we report an innovative approach in teaching Concepts of Quantum Physics to a technical level course in Medical Radiology, namely Radiodiagnostic at Colégio Cenecista São Roque in Bento Gonçalves/RS. The main reasons for this work are twofold: first, there is a small number of papers in the literature concerned to technical teaching and even less in this field specifically. Second, the students are required to get some conceptual understanding of Quantum Physics - an abstract subject most of them has never heard before. We have chosen the wave-particle duality as a central concept to introduce Quantum Physics given that analogies with classical wave mechanics could be more easily recovered. The dual character of electromagnetic radiation and the probabilistic nature of Quantum Physics were then emphasized since these concepts are fundamental for a better understanding of biological effects of radiation. It is also important to clarify Physics is part of our everyday and that even many of the norms that will rule their professional lives are based on the actual scientific knowledge. We believe better prepared technicians will be professionals more conscious of the importance of their own role in society. Working within Lev Semenovich Vygotsky framework we have fomented and motivated the learning through interaction among students in the classroom and through the debate among them. We have also elaborated a homepage during the semestre as a support tool to the discipline of Radiological Protection. Texts, interesting links, related news from newspaper have been continuously added as the students were suggesting or asking for. Besides the homepage, we have elaborated specific didactic material like exploratory scripts to guide the students through virtual simulations as for the Wave-particle duality in the Virtual Mach-Zehnder Interferometer and for the Photoelectric Effect. The students in general showed themselves very receptive to the innovations since they could be more active during the classes. Their final comments are interesting and they can give hints where this approach can be still improved and what they like it most.

This work is the product of a survey included in recent field of knowledge, involving high school, vocational education and education of young people and adults. This integration comes from 2006, with the National Program for the Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education in the form of Youth and Adults - PROEJA under Federal Institutions of Education, Science and Technology (FI). The study was conducted at the Federal Institute South Rio Grande Campus Charqueadas. The commitment to this research was due to the scarcity of studies related to the public being served by PROEJA, given the distinctive character of this program. The study was to understand why students with high school and remained enrolled in a course designed to offer this level of education. Highlights some factors which led the subjects to this course, as the educational and professional trajectories drawn fibers, lack of training in the county option for those who have completed high school, the poor quality of school already attended by students, the image the IF as an institution of excellence in professional education, the selection process for entry into this course, the lottery system. The reasons listed by students, to seek the course of PROEJA are related mostly to improve their chances of entering the labor market. The study is characterized as a qualitative research methodology and how we used a semistructured interviews. To analyze the data collected, used the content analysis. Also studied the educational legislation on the subject. Being based on the data collected, it was possible to understand that the subjects who participated in the course looking for a training and were surprised when faced with the course was offered to them, sensing a difference between what they had designed and they have found. It appears that although they already had high school students have a profile very border with the students of adult education, and that these subjects have projects after completing their training, many of these projects came to be constructed from the training received.

Previous issue date: 2017-08-21 / In the 21st century, millions of Brazilians are still illiterate and have not enjoyed the right to
Youth and Adult Education (YAE). This research had the objective of researching the YAE
integrated to the Professional Education (PE) technical level, in the Federal Institute of
Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG), from Decree nº 5840 of 2006, which
instituted the National Program of Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education
in the Mode of YAE (PBEMYAE). The research problem was limited to apprehending,
understanding and interpreting the obstacles to compliance with the Decree in relation to the
offer of YAE courses in the IFG. In an attempt to answer it and to meet the proposed objectives,
we used the dialectical historical materialist method and carried out bibliographical research
and empirical research. The data collection was carried out in two IFG campuses with
application of questionnaires to two managers, six teachers, nine students of the YAE courses
and interviews with managers and students. One of the great challenges, pointed out in the
study, was the issue of school dropout, seen as a multifaceted process. It was reported by
professors that the curricular matrix of one of the courses contained contents common to those
in higher education and that there was not always a significant involvement of all teachers who
worked in the YAE in order to adopt differentiated methodologies. Besides the abandonment of
the course, other challenges pointed out were the realization of the integration of YAE with PE;
the offer of different types of teaching in the same institution and the interest of the management
and groups of teachers in consolidating other teaching modalities. The students interviewed
were itinerant subjects, abandoned the school banks for several factors and, after 20 years away
from school, they returned and stayed in the course in search of professional qualification,
obtaining the diploma, in the hope of getting a better job. However, many reported difficulty in
learning in certain subjects, little concentration in the classroom, a teacher who did not know
how to teach the content and did not answer the students' doubts. The YAE was referred to as a
challenge for teachers, perhaps because of the lack of training to act in this mode of teaching.
Despite the challenges, the Institution has already managed to advance in some aspects: support
of coordination in certain situations; and the awakening of students' interest in studies. Some
pedagogical strategies, however successful, have already been practiced, such as stimulating
the exchange of experience among students, valuing what they already know and planning
disciplines that seek to integrate diverse contents. Listening to these subjects made it possible
to compose the profile of the students that the institution should attend, as well as allowing
reflections on the context in which these workers live, their relationship with the world of work
and the school role. Finally, in spite of the recognition in the legal and normative dispositions
regarding the obligatoriness, the gratuity and the specificity, unfortunately the YAE is still
relegated to the second plane and with numerous challenges, among them the effectiveness of
public policies that in fact offer conditions of access and terminality of studies, and particularly
when integrated into PE.
cursos EJA no IFG.
Além do abandono do curso, outros desafios apontados
mundo do trabalho e o papel escola. Enfim, apesar do reconhecimento nos dispositivos legais
e normativos quanto à obrigatoriedade, à gratuidade e à especificidade, infelizmente a EJA

Previous issue date: 2017-10-31 / This research aimed to recognize the work activity of the teachers of the Professional and Technological Education% u2013 EPT in Goiás amid the changes brought by the current configuration of Professional Education. To this end, we sought to know and analyze the teaching work in its constitutive dimensions, in the identification of its actors, what they do and what concrete conditions in which their work activity is effective, and, thus, can subsidize the elaboration of public policies for this type of education. In order to do this, it was decided to investigate the work of the teaching professionals, who work specifically in the technical education of medium level, in the cities of Goiânia and Aparecida de Goiânia, in the units of SENAI, identifying these subjects and the conditions of exercise of the teaching practice . The following subjects were considered: directors, coordinators / supervisors and teachers. With regard to these subjects, it is important to situate that the category of teaching work covers both the subjects in their complex working definitions and the conditions in which the activities are carried out in the school context. It is a research based on the Materialist-Historical Dialectic method, a qualitative approach and a critical conception of education, with interviewing, questionnaire application and documentary analysis, preceded by the literature review produced in the area. In order to study scientifically the practical reality, in a way articulated with the theoretical formulations of Antunes (1999, 2001, 2004, 2006), Cunha (1997), In this paper, we present the results of a study carried out by Frigotto (1995, 1999) and the results obtained by Ferreira (1994, 2000, 2004, 2007), Freitas (1998; , which made possible new analysis alternatives for the current demands experienced in this modality of performance in SENAI - GO. The data obtained in the interviews with the managers and the questionnaires applied to the teachers proved the pedagogy fetish thesis of the competence evidenced in the vision of professional education equivalent to a product, whose objective is the labor market, in which Professional Education remains in favor of the system of production and antagonistic to the real interests of the worker, of the school identified with him. In this context, the teaching work, in addition to an instrumentalizing action configured in the work of the instructor, should constitute an instrumentalizing action configured in the work of the instructor, should constitute an instrumentalizing action in the work of the instructor, should constitute a dyadic action emancipating and organic intellectuality, using a more dialogic methodology, with more social ideals and more diversified.

Previous issue date: 2008-08-29 / This survey, whose title is: (IM)Possibilities of building an emancipatory education in
technological courses: an approach from two courses located in Goiania and Anapolis, aimed to
diagnose the overall reality of two masters of technology in its dimensions mercadological and
emancipatory. Its specific objectives were: to seek subsidies theoretical discussion of relations
and education work and its consequences for professional education; outlining a history of
professional education in Brazil today to Cologne (2006); examine the proposal of the courses
of higher technology at present, contrasting it to the design of polytechnic; identify the
perceptions of students, teachers and coordinators on the technology courses. The theme was
chosen based on the author's experience as a teacher in courses of Bachelor and technology.
The work questioned how the masters of technology can promote a professional education
emancipatory? The hypothesis of the research was: The masters of technology will promote a
professional education emancipatory to integrate the educational process the dimensions of
practical work, science and culture. The research is maintained in theoretical as Marx (1996), to
clarify the difference between concrete and abstract work. Enguita (1989), which develops the
concept of school as a place of training the worker. With respect to neoliberalism, Anderson
(1994), Bianchetti (1997), Frigotto (2001) and Azevedo (1997), serve as a basis to explain its
influence on the Brazilian educational policies. Through Manfredi (2002), Vieira (2003), Kuenzer
(2005), among others, investigated is the duality result of a polarized social structure and its
reflections in the Brazilian educational policies. Marx and Engels (1978), Marx (1996), Lima
Filho (2003), Santos (2005a), (2005b) and (2005c), among others, to develop the concepts of
human emancipation, education and politecnía full. This study was developed based on
qualitative research, as this approach was to be the most appropriate in the investigation of the
object. The universe was composed of students, teachers and coordinators of the courses of
Human Resources Management, in Anapolis and other Management Business in Goiania. The
sample was drawn randomly and had about 10% to 20% of the universe, up to 100% for the
coordinators. The investigation began with the literature search and documentary, followed by
the field. For the collection of information from individual interviews were conducted subject or
the delivery of questionnaires with open questions, to be returned later. The data were worked
by analysis of content, with the categorization from the information obtained. The results pointed
to a reductionist conception of professional education, which takes the labour market as a
parameter. Students seeking training quickly and inexpensively. The teachers are young and
understand the courses as fast, facing the competitiveness and individuality. The coordinators
were in either enthusiastic now disappointed with the format of technology courses, but are
unanimous in pointing them to focus on "how". Still, research has shown that it is possible to
resume the discussion on professional education geared towards polytechnic as an alternative
to the current model.

research was guided in the form of case study, using to study documents,
bibliography and quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed on the theories
based that explain the concepts of education, labor, science and culture. In the
research process, we used different procedures and instruments for data collection
(analysis of documents, questionnaires and semistructured interview technique in
order to apprehend, as the managers of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC),
the Superintendency of Higher Education and Professional (Suesp / GO), the
Department of Education (Seduc / GO) and the directors, supervisors and teachers,
as well as third grade students of that course, institutions and Cepss Ceja University,
from different places, design experience implementation of the program). The result
of investigation indicated several factors that hindered the implementation of Proeja
in State Schools of Goiania, as: a) The conception of the program was implemented,
aiming at the intentionality of the financing and promotion of its benefits; b) ignorance
of the program by professionals in the State Network of Education and some
students; c) the disarticulation of the curriculum of general education with formation
training, expressed in Proeja, as the course offered in the state system in Goiânia
was structured as a concomitant and with little involvement of professionals who
would work in the program; d) The administrative reform, in 2008, in the state that
caused the gap between general education and formation training, administered by
different departments; e) The turnover of temporary workers with experience in
professional education; f) lack of joint planning between the educational units Ceja
University and Cepss; g) The training continuing, directed to the expectations of
market, did not include the student's training omnilateral h) the distance between the
two institutions, Ceja University and Cepss, faced by students; i) an accelerated
course that needs little time for training of students. Finally, by the fact that the Proeja
represents a public policy recently, this research presents a number of
considerations that aim to contribute to the expansion of studies about education and
employment, as well as provide support for public policies for the Education of Youth
and Adult and Vocational Education.

planejamento conjunto entre as unidades educacionais Ceja Universitário e Cepss;
Ceja Universitário e Cepss, enfrentada pelos alunos; i) a forma acelerada do curso

Under the Federal Constitution of 1988, indigenous struggles for rights have made it possible for the construction of a series of advances in public policies related to education. Academic research has demonstrated the efforts towards the establishment of indigenous schools based on the ways of living and learning of each indigenous people and has also pointed out to the increasing numbers of indigenous students enrolling at higher levels of education as well as to the establishment of meanings to the phrase indigenous intellectuals. The focus of this dissertation, the admission of indigenous students into the scope of Professional Education is even more recent, considering the current configuration of the Federal System of Education, Science and Technology, created by Law 11.892 of 2008, and the implementation of the Law of Quotas, nº 12.711, 2012. From the guarantee of an affirmative action known as quotas for admission of indigenous students into this modality of education, this research has surveyed records of their presence in the Campuses of the Federal System of Professional Education in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as their demands for Technical Education, considering the challenges and possibilities of welcome and accompany provided to students by the Federal Institutes of Vocational, Scientific and Technological Education with special consideration to the experience at Campus Sertão, which belongs to the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) Based on previous experiences such as in the Indigenous Intercultural Bilingual Initial Teacher Education Course, at the Kaingang Institute of Education Ângelo Mainkhá Miguel, in Inhacorá, the research aims at outlining the field of specific professional indigenous education. For the empirical construction of the research, the methodology of the ethnographic interview was used. In literature, the works of Rodolfo Kusch, Bartolomeu Meliá, Patrício Arias and Pablo Mamani have provided theoretical support to understand the indigenous being and their ways of organizing themselves to work. This being confronts with the existing of the Professional Education Institutes, based on the contemporary logics of capitalist practices. The implications of the relations among the Federal System and the ethnic groups that are admitted into it were taken into account from the perspective of decoloniality, with the potentialiality of heartening (ARIAS, 2010) for the institutions and of well living (BANIWA, 2011) for the indigenous peoples.

Previous issue date: 2010-09-21 / This work aimed to verify the students of 3rd grade of Integrated Courses of Agriculture
and Agribusiness, changes in terms of study habits, expectations, construction and
applicability of knowledge and their positions on the teaching-based learning in
Pedagogy of Projects. The Pedagogy of Project is presented as a methodology that can
break with the theory / practice dichotomy, since it induces the student to develop
competencies - knowledge, skills and values. This pedagogy also took us to ways of
inter and transdisciplinarity, because agricultural projects require interventions that
belong to different fields of knowledge. The activity discussed, proposed and negotiated
by students was the implementation of the Project Grow Basil and of Lemongrass. From
this project, students produced texts, collectives and individuals, representing their
ability to plan, reflect, record and evaluate a work, in full, with autonomy. The tools
used were semi-structured questionnaires: one applied to the 156 students at the
beginning of 2008, when they reached the school, and the other, applied to 28 students
randomly chosen among those involved in the process, seeking to identify their
perceptions regarding the application of Pedagogy of Project. Were also used as
instruments of this research texts prepared by students during the course of activities of
the Project. Observing the results, We come to the conclusion that the Pedagogy of
Project constitutes an excellent method to allow students to construct knowledge with
self-confidence, a spirit of cooperation, responsibility, democracy and autonomy,
especially in Professional Education.
A atividade discutida, proposta e

Previous issue date: 2016-10-05 / The aim of this study was to analyze critically and reflectively the process of training of
students of the Federal Institute of Amap? Degree Courses - Campus Macap? (IFAP), seeking
to verify whether it contributes to the practice of teaching in vocational education. The
research takes as reference the Degree courses in Computer Science and Chemistry offered by
the institution, as well as official documents guiding them. Since 2008, with the creation of
the Federal Institutes of Technology and the consequent expansion of the Federal
Technological Education Network, offering these courses is part of the government policy
expansion project for teacher training aimed at overcoming the deficit teachers, especially in
the areas of natural sciences and mathematics, and in the field of Vocational Education. The
methodological approach used the perspective of case study from a qualitative approach,
which investigated students, teachers and educational managers operating in these courses. In
order to reveal the object, it was decided to use the following methodological strategies:
questionnaires application, carrying out semi-structured interviews and analysis of documents,
such as: curriculum matrices of degree courses, pedagogical projects of the courses, official
documents of the Federal Institute Amapa and the National Council of Education, as well as
the documents and guidelines of the Department of Professional and Technological Education
(SETEC / MEC). The results showed that the above courses have been designed in
accordance with the legislation which provides for teacher training courses for Basic
Education, respecting the minimum hours established for this purpose, distributed in three
training centers covering theoretical and practical knowledge, highlighting both specific
knowledge about the teaching - teaching. It should be noted that this workload distribution
proved uneven, predominating more hours to the core of expertise in comparison to the core
teaching knowledge - teaching, a situation which leads to instrumental and bacharelesco
technical nature still very present in structuring degree courses in Brazil. As the main
objective of this study, to verify that throughout the training process these courses present
suggestions for possible teaching practice in vocational education, the survey revealed that,
although there is expressly no discipline in the curriculum matrices that addresses the
discussions on the Professional education as a teaching mode during the training course in the
courses students have contact with the debates that address the specifics of the EP through any
discussions at different times of training, both seen content in the classroom in the classroom
and in stage stage supervised and projects and events organized by the institution. In the final
considerations were presented proposals that enable improvements in teacher training offered
in IFAP's degree courses, with reference to the locus where it takes place and preparing to
operate in Professional Education.
- Campus Macap?
Profissional e Tecnol?gica (SETEC/MEC).

Previous issue date: 2009-12-17 / The aim of this work was to stimulate the students of the Module on Processing of Animal Products (PPOA) of the Technical Course on Agri-Industries at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Para?ba ? Sousa Campus (former Federal Agrotechnical School of Sousa ?PB) to develop skills and build their knowledge in the preparation of a fermented sausage of salami-type with mutton, observing the kinetics of fermentation and ripening. The understanding of the concepts of microbial ecosystems, strategies and tools to control microbial growth in food bioprocessing was explored. The aim is learning by research, and through integration of research, development, production and technical education. Two groups of students were used (H4 and H5). The group H4 (24 students) was stimulated to inquiry and questioning, and also to expand the information received from the instructors by searching technical literature. The other group (H5, 12 students) was approached by the methodology traditionally applied in the school, an approach of "reproductive action" without encouraging them to inquiry, and without a discussion of the scientific basis of the applied biotechnology. Two types of fermented salami-type sausage were made: using pork and mutton and a referencial product made out of pork and beef. Both products were innoculated with starter culture (Pediococcus pentosaceus). Colour, taste, texture and acceptability were evaluated. All batches had good overall acceptability. The verification of the learning was monitored by applying, to both group of students, questionnaires before and after the activities. It was observed that the students involved in the research-based activities (group H4) have developed the learning and understanding required for the processing of fermented sausages well beyond a instrumental-only knowledge. As amostras apresentaram boa aceitabilidade global.
