Marcia Lika Hattori 25 March 2015 (has links)
All over the country, areas of different communities have been affected by major infrastructure projects, according to the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC) of the Brazilian Federal Government. Archaeologists responsible for part of the environmental licensing have faced the challenge of working with these communities and generally, in a short period of time. This research aims to comprise, given the conflicts between communities and infrastructure works occurring within the Archaeological Site Fazendinha (State of Pernambuco) and the Archaeological Site Rio Bezerra III (Tocantins), the extension of the infuence of archaeology work bringing other valuations at te study of environmental licensing, besides the economic one. Similarly, attempts to identify the space of the community, from contra-discursive analysis in a context of a science that was born colonialist. It therefore suggests methodological contributions and forms of acting in conflict areas where there is a dispute between capital market, communities, heritage and science, enabling spaces for dialogue to be built in conjunction with the local questions, incorporating narratives and ways of working.

Ocupação territorial e conflitos : o caso do assentamento São Domingos dos Olhos Dágua / Territorial ccupation and conflicts: the case of the São Domingos dos olhos dágua settlement

Alzair Eduardo Pontes 01 August 2014 (has links)
The study area is located at the southern region of the state of Goiás, municipality of Morrinhos, and is called São Domingos dos Olhos DAgua Settlement. The study assumed that the territory is an area where power and domination structure social and production relations. The study area shows the unequal balance of forces fighting for dominance and appropriation of space through political and economic control. The conquest of a land fraction is a triumph in the struggle for land. It enables the process of territorialization of the struggle itself. This process is understood in its most general character as the fight against expropriation and exploitation of capitalist development. This is a case study and due to the fact that it was carried out in a municipality where there is no similar work to that proposed here, this research was classified as exploratory. However, it is also a descriptive research because it presents features similar to other studies that also fall under this denomination. Overall, 72 field interviews were performed. In addition, CPT collection, INCRA reports and proceedings of entities linked to PA were searched in order to better understand the power relations related to the occupation of the territory in the context of land reform at local level. The research revealed that there are opposing forces in the process of occupation and territorialization of rural areas, which makes it an area where actions are conflicting and apparently, public policies implemented in recent decades were only palliative, because as reported in this study, land reform in Brazil does not provide beneficiaries with tools and conditions for alternative production in relation to the current capitalist model. It was also evidenced that the settlement is a complex social space marked by political disputes where groups interpellate, seeking to organize the occupied territory through social practices and struggle strategies coming from different interests of social actors participating in the process, circumstances that last through conflicts of various dimensions.

A quantitative study on the relationship between interpersonal work-related conflicts and individual differences

Persson, Julia, Sandström, Sara January 2020 (has links)
Previous research shows that interpersonal work-related conflicts can have negative consequences in the workplace, for both employees and the organization itself. Conflicts take great place and attention from work, which can lead to both reduced efficiency and productivity. Conflicts can have an impact on employees' psychological well-being and are a contributing factor to stress. How we interpret, perceive and act in conflicts partly depends on individual differences. This study investigates the relationship between personality and involvement in interpersonal work-related conflicts. Quantitative method was used for the study and the data collection was done through an online survey. The questionnaire consisted of two instruments, the BFI-44 as the five personality traits based on the Five-Factor Model and the Interpersonal Conflict At Work Scale (ICAWS) for interpersonal work-related conflicts. A total of 41 people (M = 47, SD = 10) participated in the study, all of whom at the time of the survey, were employed as officials in a Swedish industry that produces food. The personality traits that has been found to be the most related to how often an individual is involved in interpersonal work-related conflicts is neuroticism. The relationship turned out to be a moderately positive relationship (r = .26). This was the strongest correlation of the personality traits along with the outcome variable and the most important result of this study. The results show that the higher the values of neuroticism an individual has, the more often this person tend to feel involved in interpersonal work-related conflicts.

Nyström, Matilda January 2021 (has links)
The study consists of a comparison on the traditional way of working, the waterfall model, and the agile model. The focus of the study is toexamine the differences that exist between the models when it comes torequirements management and how to work to meet the requirements. The focus will also be on examine why some projects prefer to workaccording to the waterfall model, instead of switching to the agilemodel. The survey consists of a literature pre-study and semi-structuredinterviews with people who have experience of both models. The resultsthat where collected from the semi-structured interviews have beencompiled and compared whit the results which were collected from thesurvey in order to be able to answer the questions. The results show that they differ markedly in the requirementsmanagement and how to work with meeting the requirements in thedifferent models. This contributes to the fact that there is a lot ofdifference in which model that is preferred. An example that emergedduring the interviews was that in certain parts of the medical industry, extensive preparatory work is required as there are different laws indifferent countries. It turned out that government and private activities do not play a role inthe choice of model, but that what determines which model is preferredis the type of project. The type of environment in which the projectconsists also plays a major role. The waterfall model will be preferred in projects governed by laws andregulations or if there are very specific requirements. The agile model ispreferred when the projects is freer and where laws and regulations donot have to be taken into account in the same way.

Sjöström, Åsa January 2020 (has links)
This essay is about treatment in preschool and how important it is that we dare to do different based on each child's needs. I sometimes get the feeling that we educators in preschool, have alittle too much of the idea that the working methods we use should suit all children. Dealing with children and adults differently should be a matter of course, especially when we work inpreschool and school. What I mean by daring to do different, is that we need to have the knowledge to see each individual's needs to be able to respond in a clear way so that everyone is understood. According to the Education Act, we must “take into account the different conditions and needs of all children”(Skolverket 2018, p. 6). Which we do if we do not treat all children in exactly the same way, but dare to use different approaches. My dilemma, which I describe in different situations, is when children receive a treatment that does not benefit them and where we educators do not think about or do not have the knowledge of how we should do. The purpose I have with my essay, is to come up with an approach that we can use in the work team, to help the children who for various reasons "worry" us educators. I have tried to go more in depth in our Curriculum for preschool, to get a clearer view of ourmission. What I see and hear in my business has made me curious about how we interpret it and whether it can be used as an argument for me as a preschool teacher in a work team.  The method I use in my thesis is scientific essay writing, where I will be able to come up with how to understand my dilemma better, to be able to handle it in my future professional life. I do this through reflection with supervisors, course participants, literature and with myself.

Exploring methods for dependency management in multi-repositories : Design science research at Saab Training and simulation

Persson, Oskar, Svensson, Samuel January 2021 (has links)
Dependency problems for developers are like sneezing for people with pollen allergies during the spring, an everyday problem. This is especially true when working in multi-repositories. The dependency problems that occur do so as a byproduct of enabling developers to work on different components of a project in smaller teams, where everything is version controlled.Nearly all developers use version control systems, such as Git, Mercurial, or Subversion. While version control systems have helped developers for nearly 40 years and are constantly getting updated, there are still functionalities that do not exist. One example of that is having a good way of managing dependencies and allowing developers to download projects without having to handle dependency problems manually. The solutions that version control systems offer to help manage dependencies (e.g., Git’s submodules or Mercurial’s subrepositories), do not enable developers a fail-safe download or build the project if it contains dependency problems. In this study, a case study was conducted at Saab Training and Simulation to explore methods for dependency management as well as discuss and highlight some of the problems that emerge when working with dependencies in multi-repositories.An argument can be made that the functionality of dependency management systems, both package managers and version control systems’ solutions are not up to date on how dependencies are used in the development, during this time.In this paper, a novel approach to dependency management is introduced with the possibility to describe the dependencies dynamically by providing the utility to describes usages of a repository (such as simulation of hardware or the main project). As well as discussing the necessary functionalities that are required to handle such a system.By re-opening the dialog about dependency management as well as describing problems that arise in such environments, the goal is to inspire further research within these areas.

Krusberg, Eva January 2020 (has links)
This is a scientific essay where I investigate and reflect on issues that have to do with conflicts and conflict management in school. The essay is based on a personal experience and is written from my professional experience in order to provide a greater understanding of the complex collaboration between educators and guardians. How do we best inform guardians when something happens to their children during the school day? Is it at drop-off and pick-up or are there other good contact routes? Conflicts are something we encounter throughout life, in many different contexts. Then it is important to learn how to handle difficult situations.School and leisure center are a social environment where large groups of people interact and integrate with each other. What do the governing documents say about the cooperation between the school and the home? My essay starts with a story about a self-experienced incident. It starts with a conflict in the schoolyard where the guardians afterwards needed to be informed about what happened to their child during the school day. The conversations with the guardians are completely different. One guardian is grateful for the information received about their child, while the other guardian directly assumes a defensive position. Why? How can we educators accommodate these "dissatisfied" guardians in a good way? I will examine myself and my own reflections. In the analysis I make use of my practical wisdom that I have accumulated through the experience I have. What can I become better atin the execution of my practical professional competence in the field? The conflict management models I use to reflect on my dilemma are “Cohan`s Conflict Pyramid” and “Mini Mediation” (Hakvoort & Friberg 2019).

Leite, Ana Paula. January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: This study is based on the application of geotechnologies to discriminate land use in the Araquá river basin, located in the municipalities of Botucatu and São Manuel (SP). The objective was verify the efficiency of the radiometric indices association methodology in land use identification, with emphasis on the Permanent Preservation Areas, established according to the Brazilian Forest Code (Law No. 12.727 / 2012). From Sentinel-2 satellite images, the following radiometric index associations were produced: NDBI-GNDVI-NDWI, NDBI-NDI45-NDWI and NDBI-NDVI-NDWI. Through validation, obtained by the supervised classification generated in each of the three compositions, inappropriate uses were identified. The conflict between the disorderly occupation of sugarcane and the Permanent Preservation Areas was noted. The NDBI-NDVI-NDWI association was the most satisfactory to evaluate and discriminate land use and occupation in the watershed with a Kappa coefficient of 84%. / Mestre
