Martüberblick : Konfiguratoren in ERP-/PPS-Systemen / Market research : configurators in ERP-/PPS-Systems

Gronau, Norbert, Schmid, Simone January 2005 (has links)
Market research : configurators in ERP-/PPS-Systems:

Today customer orientation is of great importance. With the help of a product-configuration-system it is possible to develop products virtually under specific rules and therefore to prove the customer capability characteristics for their practicability. In the present market research the capability of configurators in ERP-/PPS-systems as well as in stand-alone-solutions were checked and it was tested to what extend they are suitable to cope with complex product implementation.
-------
© GITO mbH Berlin

Ermittlung der Zukunftsfähigkeit unternehmensweiter Anwendungssysteme / A process model for determination of future suitability of business application systems

Gronau, Norbert January 2005 (has links)
A process model for determination of future suitability of business application systems:

Before decisions concerning reinvestments or additional usage of business application systems can be made, functional requirements depending on the actual or foreseeable demand are collected. In turbulent circumstances business application systems like ERP systems are longer used than the requirements for their choice are valid. At the university of Potsdam within the german research project CHANGE a process model was developed which is able to determine the future suitability of business application systems investigating possible turbulences on the market and around the company.
---------
© GITO mbH Berlin

Förberedelse för förändring : Förutsättningar och behov vid implementering av affärssystem / Preparation for Change : Prerequisites and needs during ERP implementation

Wiklund, Anders, Åkerstedt, Torgny January 2004 (has links)
Organizational change is hard to achieve, but if an organization doesn't change it might risk its own existence. Effective resource allocation and increased control of the internal production are examples of how organizations try to increase its competitive advantage. An ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) can help an organization to achieve this by providing management with direct access to a wealth of real-time operating information, streamlined dataflow, and making the company's business processes more effective. Like other IT-related projects, ERP investments are associated with large risks. Many projects failure during the implementation in one way or another. The failure often relates to Critical Success Factors (CSF) associated with this type of project. If they haven't been taken into enough consideration, the project's chance to succeed will decrease dramatically. Some of these Critical Success Factors are related to Change Management - the term used to describe education, training, communication, and other actions to make the end user prepared for the changes that will come during the ERP implementation. This Master thesis has been written at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), one of the first governmental authorities in Sweden to implement an integrated ERP system. The aim of this thesis is to study the needs and prerequisites for an effective change management - with focus on the end users of the coming ERP system. The thesis starts out from change management and ERP theory and connects them with experience from other ERP implementation projects. Those parts make the foundation for an analysis of two different organizational parts at FMV to give a basis for further work with Change Management. Some of the conclusions that can be drawn from the study at FMV are that the ERP project with its ongoing work reaches a high level of user involvement, which is very important during ERP implementations. The new way to practice Change Management at FMV seems to be received positively by the end users. The project itself on the other hand could strengthen some of its internal work, i.e. the project hasn't succeeded completely in the planning and allocation of its internal resources. The importance of a highly committed steering committee is emphasised. With more powerful decisions the chance of a successful implementation increases.

Organisationsförändring vid implementering av ett affärssystem : Den upplevda förändringen av arbetsroller och styrning hos de anställda på Lantmännen Cerealia Uppsala / Organizational change by the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system : The perceived change in work roles and management objectives by the employees at Lantmännen Cerealia Uppsala

Nyman, Frida, Sivertsson, Susanna January 2009 (has links)
When an organization chooses to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system it leads to a major technological change as well as to a major organizational change. It seems only reasonable to believe that the implementation of such a system will have impact on the other activities of the organization. This thesis aims to answer if and how the employees of an organization, which has implemented an ERP system, are experiencing changes in their work roles, in terms of both their formal duties and their relationships to colleagues, as well as in the organization's management. In order to do so, a case study of the company of Lantmännen Cerealia Uppsala, in which both management and divisional perspectives were studied, was done. The case study entailed personal interviews as its central methodological choice, but also incorporated participant observations of the studied division. The conclusion is, that all employees experienced a significant change in their formal duties, a slight change in their relationships to colleagues and that the organization’s management remained unaffected. This study shows that there exist a variety of strong correlations between these variables, and that changes within these factors take varying amounts of time to occur.

The Impact of Adopting “Business Intelligence (BI)” in Organizations

Rahman, Shahbaaz January 2011 (has links)
In economically turbulent times, Business Intelligence (BI) is increasingly being used to mitigate risk and increase certainty. The evolution of BI from a series of technologies to a platform for supporting strategies is analyzed in this thesis. The concentration is on how BI can streamline manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing and customer service are evaluated, as are the potential payoffs of increasing the level of insight an organization has. The thesis also includes analysis of how the more complex value chain processes including build-to-order, configure-to-order and quote-to-order can be made more efficient and profitable through the inclusion of BI and its associated analytics and technologies. The inclusion of the Delphi research technique makes this paper unique and strong in its content as well. The role of BI has shifted from being used in specific functional areas of an organization to being strategic in scope. The intent of this thesis is to evaluate its contributions to the customer-facing processes that are the most complex and most challenging to sustain, making BI an indispensible platform for their successful execution on the base of theories and practical experience of the BI experts.

Analysing and Reengineering the Order Process at Noblessa Sverige AB : A Pre-Study for an ERP System Implementation

Blomquist, Peter, Wygler, Franz January 2006 (has links)
When implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the system has to be adapted to the organisation. But just as important, the business processes of the organisation have to be reengineered in order to take full advantage of the ERP system. Noblessa Sverige AB, which is a sales company to the German kitchen producer Nobilia, has been growing remarkably since the start 2001 and has begun discussing an ERP system purchase. The order process of today has reached the limit of its capacity and something has to be done in order to meet the increasing sales volume. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to analyse and reengineer the order process as a preparation for an ERP system implementation. The outcome of this thesis is a suggestion of a process model of the order process, which also can be used as a foundation for a requirements specification for the ERP system purchase. In order to take advantage of the benefits of the existing order process, the reengineering starts with mapping the current process. Noblessa Sverige AB is a company that is growing and changing from one day to another. Changes have arisen during the writing of this thesis which has made the work even more interesting and challenging. The most important change is the opening of a central warehouse in Norrköping, which has been taken in consideration when we designed the new process model. After mapping and achieving an understanding of the current order process, we found a few things that could be improved. Above all, there exist many manual tasks that can be automated with the ERP system. Furthermore, there are tasks that should be moved from one department or function to another because it is more suitable to perform them there. We also found that Noblessa Sverige AB should improve the integration and cooperation with its suppliers, especially Nobilia. Nobilia is the main owner and main supplier of Noblessa Sverige AB, the conditions for cooperation are therefore very good.

Verslo valdymo sistemų diegimo modelis Lietuvos smulkiojo ir vidutinio verslo įmonėms / Implementation model of enterprise resource planning systems for Lithuanian small and medium enterprises

Michno, Vitalij 02 February 2011 (has links)
Verslo valdymo sistemos (VVS) Lietuvoje jau gana ilgą laiką yra intepretuojamos kaip būtina inovacija įmonėms, norinčioms konkuruoti šiuolaikinėje ekonominėje terpėje. Todėl šiuo metu vis daugiau įmonių pasiryžta įdiegti VVS, o tai didelių investicijų reikalaujantis projektas, kuris nevisada sulaukia norimų rezultatų. Tokių situacijų atsiradimas didina poreikį atlikti nesėkmingų VVS diegimo priežasčių išsamų tyrimą. Šiame darbe išanalizuota verslo valdymo sistemų raida, diegimo modeliai, svarbiausi veiksniai, lemiantys diegimo projekto sėkmę. Atlikta Lietuvos ekspertų ir vartotojų apklausa padėjo įvertinti esamą VVS diegimo projektų situaciją Lietuvoje ir išanalizuoti veiksnių svarbumą atsižvelgiant į respondetų pateiktus atsakymus. Tai įgalino pasiūlyti Lietuvos smulkaus ir vidutinio verslo (SVV) įmonėms naująjį VVS diegimo modelį, kuriame sukaupta geriausia VVS diegimo praktika panaudojus užsienio literatūrą ir Lietuvos ekspertų patirtį. Darbą sudaro 6 dalys: įvadas, verslo valdymo sistemos įmonės valdyme, verslo valdymo sistemų diegimo procesas ir lemiantys veiksniai, verslo valdymo sistemų diegimo modelis, išvados, literatūros sąrašas.
