Oliveira, Rosimar Regina Rodrigues de, 1974- 28 February 2007 (has links)
Orientador: Eduardo Roberto Junqueira Guimarães / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-08T14:31:49Z (GMT). / Abstract: This work is theoretically based on the Semantics of Enunciation, which considers language in its relation to history. We try to understand the meanings of the words progress and modern in their relation to the meaning of the March to the West as found in journalistic texts of the XXth century press in the state of Mato Grosso (Brazil), more specifically in the newspaper O Estado de Mato Grosso, in 1939-1940. As stated by Mariani (1997; 2001), the press is understood as a place where meanings can be observed. Through determination relations, the March to the West is constantly linked to progress, a progress determined by largeness, wealth and light, while modernity is absent from the West. In the West, the March thus produces a meaning of both uncivilization and civilizing process. We observed how the words: March to the West, progress and modern are used in the press in relation to other words. This was made through DSDs (Semantic Domains of Determination) of these expressions, constituted by the determination relations produced by the enunciative event. We present their meaning based on the notion of designation proposed by Guimarães (1995; 2002). Descriptions were made using rewriting and articulation procedures that helped us understand to what extent the abovementioned words determine and are determined by the meaning of the others.

Silva, Marcel Caldeira da, 1988- 23 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Mónica Graciela Zoppi-Fontana / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-23T18:09:55Z (GMT). They are also characterised by the presence of the verb "ser" (to be) in the present indicative form (é - is) between those items. The structure observed in those statements is [X é quando Y], in which X represents the word or phrase defined and Y represents the set of elements which constitute the clause introduced by "quando" (subject, verb, objects, etc.). Such clause describes a specific situation used to define the word / phrase. The comparison of the grammatical structure of definitions with "X é quando Y" to the grammatical structure of traditional definitions ("X é Y"), which follow some of the principles of Logic for the creation of definitions, shows that there is no grammatical equivalence between the item which defines and the one which is defined in definitions with "é quando", since the clause introduced by "quando" does not correspond to the grammatical unit shown as the word or phrase to be defined (for example, a noun or adjective phrase). In traditional definitions, this type of equivalence is usual (for example, "NP is NP"). The text explores and discusses notions of equivalence which involve specific conceptions of meaning and which are related to the issue of the grammatical equivalence mentioned. The study was made as an attempt to obtain, by analogy with definitions structured as "X é Y", an understanding of the definitions with "é quando", by means of a critical reflection on the existing explanations for the former structure. It provides an explanation for the operation of definitions with "é quando" which is based on the theoretical assumptions and analysis tools of Semantics of the Event and which consists in making explicit the semanticenunciative aspects involved in the creation and circulation of such statements. The study explores the concept of enunciation space in order to discuss the political division which determines the emergence or no emergence of this type of definition in different enunciative scenes, considering defining statements with "é quando" from distinct internet pages as units of analysis and taking into account the text in which they belong / Mestrado / Linguistica / Mestre em Linguística

Boabaid, Marcia Elisa Vanzin January 2014 (has links)
This Ph.D. dissertation aims at examining the National Curricular Parameters of Portuguese Language for the third and fourth learning cycles (henceforth PCNs/LP), in the theoretical framework of Linguistics of Enunciation. On this purpose, it seeks firstly, to discuss about the filling, preparation and disclosure of the document. This initial mapping analyzes how the Brazilian educational environment has contributed to the development of the official document. Mainly supported by the texts gathered and published as Problems of General Linguistics I (1995) and II (1989), which form the basis for understanding Benveniste‟s Theory of Enunciation, one retrieves the notions involving enunciative studies and analyzes how these notions can contribute to accomplish the figurative context of utterance, thus outlining a methodology that guides an enunciative analysis of the referred official text. From the theoretical approach adopted and the dialogue with other Benveniste‟s readers, it investigates who are the interlocutors of the PCNs / LP. Two possibilities for analysis are listed: a) the L1 teacher, in order to make a proper reading of the PCN/ LP texts should consider that there is aninterlocutive alleged relationship; b) the Theory of Enunciation of benvenistian basis offers a theoretical and methodological apparatus that allows one to recognize the marks in the text that highlights this relationship. Thus, this dissertation shows that there is asymmetry between the PCN / LP and its interlocutor, due to the primary education teacher, "real" party of the text does not identify with the interlocutor of the text, because they do not understand the theoretical concepts that sustain and, thus, build the references in the document. It is in the gap of the reader, by the difficulty in reading theoretical texts or by theoretical unpreparedness, that we identify this conceptual gap. This factor interferes with the text understanding. Hence, the enunciative point of view can be seen as a way to rethink L1 teaching, thus approximating text and reader.

Alma, valor, pinga e enunciação: abordagem semiótica do discurso guarani / Soul, value, pinga and enunciation: a semiotic approach to speech guarani

Andrade, José Roberto de 28 March 2000 (has links)
This dissertation consists of two volumes: i) a corpus in which they are transcribed and translated the speeches made by some forty Guarani Indians during a meeting in December 1996 in A. I. Ribeirão Silveira, located in São Sebastião, São Paulo. The material is unpublished and was collected by me during the fieldwork. ii) an analysis of some aspects of the narrative level and the level of discursive statements, trying to relate them to the worldview Guarani, the conceptions that group have soul and speech. It is analyzed: the projection of the category of person - use of personal pronouns and kinship designative - trying to explain the meaning effects that flow from it. Discusses the value to show how objects moving between the subjects - the palm, the drip, etc.. Are being grouped in different categories as the meeting goes elapsed, and how the lines relate to each other to form a web discourse. In a chapter devoted to alcoholic beverages it is the mythic themes and the tradition of \"cauinagem\" among the Tupi-Guarani groups.

A voz, o lugar e o olhar: culturas e periferias em Subúrbio de Chico Buarque / The voice, the place and the look: cultures and peripheries in Subúrbio by Chico Buarque

Rodrigues, Sandra Salavandro 26 July 2013 (has links)
The current dissertation aims to verify the approach of the outlying areas through the analysis of the poetic song Subúrbio, by Chico Buarque (Carioca, 2006), in order to analyze the poetic subjects enunciative place. Our hypothesis is that in the song there is an enunciator whose look distances itself from the themed matters and this approach is an aspect that prevails in almost of the reffered poet`s songbook

A categoria do tempo na língua espanhola: uma abordagem semiótica / The Spanish time system : a semiotic approach

Gómez, Serafina Vallejo 01 May 2007 (has links)
Accepting there is a linguistic tense different from physical or chronological time, this work aims the studying of Spanish time system by using the theoretical model proposed by José Luiz Fiorin in his As astúcias da enunciação. From the point of view of Semiotic theory, adopted in this work, the meaning is constructed by a generative process in several levels, fundamental, narrative and discursive. Enunciation, as a producer fact of a statement, is the instance in charge to initiate in a discursive level the categories of person, time and space. From the moment of enunciation they are created three moments of reference: one moment of concomitance reference and two non-concomitance with the moment of enunciation, the moment of anterior reference and the moment of posterior reference. At the same time, each one of these moments of reference is separated into moments of occurrence, equally concomitance and nonconcomitance (anterior and posterior). The verbal tenses that express the relationship of concomitance configure the enunciative system and verbal times express the relationship of not-concomitance configure the enuncive system. First, they will be studied the relationship of Spanish verbal tenses regarding the moment of the enunciation and different positions they occupy in the systems both enuncive and enunciative. Second, they will be also studied the fundamental uses and possible verbal neutralizations in specific contexts or depending of the writer´s intention. Finally, the verification of Fiorin model is extended to the changes done in the direct style, when the narrator delegates the voice to one interlocutor, as much as in the indirect style, when the two moments of enunciation become just one. They will not been forgotten time correlations and the relationship of the subjunctive tenses establish with the main verb; therefore, with the moment of its reference.

Vieira, Daniele Talita Florido. January 2011 (has links)
A busca e a descrição desses expedientes é, precisamente, o que nos compete nesta pesquisa / Abstract: This Master's Degree dissertation entitled "Manners of expression of the didactical speech in Work and Days of Hesiod" proposes the analysis of the textual structure in the hesiodic poem, so as to describe the textual resources used by the poet to compose a text of exhorting and didactic nature. With the aim of teaching his brother Perses to live honestly, by his own work, Hesiod writes his poem, discoursing upon the justice of Zeus and of the religious dimension of work. For this, the poet has appropriated a series of linguistics expedients that validate the classification of his poem as a didactical speech. Among them: the use of mythical narratives that have a guiding character; the verses that put in action the conative function of the language, in the terms that Jakobson defined (1973, p. 125), verses that are directed to a second person; the use of appropriated verbal forms for advising (as imperative and infinitive); the frequent presentation of maxims that condense a teaching, many of them constructed with gnomic aorists; a typology of the subjects with the passages that characterize the didactical-subject, Hesiod, and the ones that characterize the apprentice-subject, Perses and the kings of Ascra and so forth. We are precisely entitled to do the search and the description of these expedients in this research / Mestre

Entre enunciador e enunciatário: um estudo sobre a compaixão / Enunciator between enunciatee: a study on compassion

Lima, Eliane Soares de 22 June 2010 (has links)
In the beginning of the development of the semiotic theory of the French line, the problem of the enunciation was not brought to the light in a significant way yet, so that the investigation was guided predominantly by the intern organization of the significant devices. A exam priorly in the domain of the shift out discourse was proposed. However, recognizing the importance of that instance in the mediation and in the conversion of the syntaxs and semantics structures of a text, the enunciation activity was, little by little, gaining more representative space inside the theory, in such a way that today it can be seen as the central element in the study of the language and of the discourse. If previously the semiotics worried fundamentally about apprehending the semiotic process in its accomplished aspect, now it unites the perceptive, sensitive and emotional conditions of the signification, always understood in its semiotics conditions, to understand such process in the own emergency of the event of the semiosis. Following this perspective, it is important to this dissertation to analyze and to describe the passional interaction that is established between actors of the enunciate and actors of the enunciation, as in the case of the compassion. To semiotically delineate this emotional movement, three different semiotic systems will be investigated: a verbal, a verbvisual and an audiovisual; respectively, a passage of literary narrative, an electronic press report and a soap opera episode. Adopting, therefore, the approach of the discourse on the spot, we will priorly examine: the narrative dimension, not reduced to the operations of transformation of the enunciations of actions, but meditated in its unfolding in actancials courses that implicate the time and the devevir; the emotional and passional dimension of the discourses that, as it intends to show, are not imprisioned to the modal contents only. For that we also took into account the modulations of the field of presence of the subject that feels, that it is affected. Concomitantly, we will consider the discursivization procedures and textualization, linked to the perception process. The idea is to understand how the enunciation links with the compassion, which will allow the description of the emotion articulated to the event, to the discourse, to the enunciator and enunciatee.
