Sistema de informação para gerenciamento de equipamentos médicos-hospitalares / Information system for management of medical-hospital equipment

Piccinini, Patricia Strapasson 31 August 2016 (has links)
The medical equipment, under sanitary vigilance rules, comprehend all equipment in use in the health field with medical, odontological, laboratorial or physiotherapeutic purpose, which are used either directly or indirectly for diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, or monitoring of human beings. The maintenance of these equipment is attributed to the clinical engineering area. The clinical engineering acts on development, management, maintenance and capacitation of medical-hospital equipment (MHE), within the hospital, aiming to contribute to the patients? quality of life. In order to improve the management of these equipment, it has allied with informatics, by means of information systems in the maintenance field. Most of the existing softwares for the hospital area are commercial, expensive and are meant to patients, beds and medical records managing. The existence of informatization systems with the aim of helping maintenance may cut down the time and the cost for this activity. The purpose of this study is to analyze and to implement an information system for managing the maintenance of MHE. This system is 100% Web, multiplatform, and uses a prioritizing method for preventive and corrective maintenance. Customized forms were created for each MHE, aiming the standardization of storage of solutions for each maintenance. For the developing of the system, the Object Oriented Analysis was applied, with techniques of software engineering. The system code was developed using PHP programming language, using a Bootstrap frontend framework and a PostgreSQL database. When the system was ready, software testing methods were created, providing itineraries to test the software?s usability. Comparing to SIGEMH and other softwares on the market, it was found that the majority regards the managing aspects of MHE, while SIGEMH aims the prioritization and standardization of forms relative to maintenance. Some functionalities present in other softwares were not developed, but new functionalities were implemented, such as: storage of technical rules and manuals for online searching, standardization of post-maintenance forms and the method which defines the order of equipment for service execution.

Serpe, Luís Filippe 25 February 2014 (has links)
The development of organizations, due to an increasing competitive environment, faces challenges which grow in an accelerated rate. Thus, the technological innovation appears as an important instrument in the maintenance of a competitive scenario inthe organizations. When analysing the question, it can be observed that there are many tools tohelp obtaining the innovation indexes. However, the focal point is that companies be capable of developing innovation in a continuous and sustainable way, towards the increase in their innovative activities and the improvement of their competitive performance. It can also be observed that the micro enterprises show the major difficulties concerning the development of such process, due to many factors. Thus, the central objective of this study is to propose a methodology of solutions and requisites, aiming to increase the innovation degree in micro and small enterprises. The data collection is represented by the diagnosis, observing the degree of innovation within the researched companies, obeying to specific criteria, which also served as a parameter to the execution of the main objective. The proposition of the model shows some degrees of commitment of the organizations, concerning the innovation activities described. In other words, it identifies in which level the companies are located. (Looking for ideas, Selection of ideas, Gathering of resources; Execution). To facilitate the data collection, the activities were divided in six (6) dimensions. Such activities were formulated following parameters described by the Oslo Manual –Guidelines for Collecting and Interpreting Innovation Data, and the researched literature. Through the use of tables and figures indicating the localization of the companies in each dimension, it is possible to identify which items must be improved within the four (4) activity levels, then offering the proposition of requisites. The results showed that the researched companies have medium levels of evolution concerning the described activities, highlighting the lack of understanding on the importance of the activities. Notwithstanding, it was possible to operationalize the proposition, showing how the phases are applied.

Production local systems and global value chain: study about the different ways, of furniture industry, to access the market and the impact in the local productive structures.

Flávia Gutierrez Motta 24 March 2006 (has links)
This work focus the interection of Local Productive Systems (LPSs) and global productive chains, in order to identify the impacts to local productive struture from the differents forms of firms market access. Thus, endogenous and exogenous elements from LPSs were analyzed. To understand this phenomenom were analyzed the development path (strategic, products, technologies choices and organization structure) and the capacity (knowledge, abilities, practices and routines) acquired by firms with the time by, and were considerated the organization and action of local and non-local agents. The survey had been done with firms and organisms from furniture industry in two brasilian LPSs: Bento Gonçalves (RS) and São Bento do Sul (SC). Both locations were choseen because they are important to the furniture production and exportation, and they had differents development paths. Firms from LPS that commercialize their products with differents forms, present heterogeneous prodctive struture, and develop a large range of capacities. The supportive organisms develop differents projects to support the firms. Firms form LPS that mainly exports their products through export agents, have homogeneous productive struture and the development of capacities are centered in productive areas. Thus, the organisms do not act with deliberate joint action. Therefore, non local agents influence directaly the competitiveness of firms and limitate local development

Design do mobiliário moderno brasileiro: aspectos da forma e sua relação com a paisagem / Brazilian modern furniture design: format aspects and how it relates to the landscape

Alexandre Penedo Barbosa de Melo 03 April 2008 (has links)
This thesis outlines a visual reading regarding the history of modern furniture in Brazil and how it relates to tropical nature. It identifies how the furniture shape construction was affected by the presence of tropical landscape and vegetation surrounding the Brazilian homes by considering the first pieces and designs for the works of Gregori Warchavchik, Flavio de Carvalho, Lucio Costa, and Oscar Niemeyer. It extracts from the drawings and speeches of Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright delivered in Brazil and also from other local events the conditions imposed by the Carioca landscape (in the city of Rio de Janeiro) as well as its influence onto the built space, of which the qualities are mirrored on the furniture shape. The work of Joaquim Tenreiro, in 1942, as a precursor of modern furniture in Brazil, was followed by a number of initiatives of local and radicated foreign architects to link tropical nature and home environment to address a design method unit. It concludes identifying the key characteristics of furniture shape and its exponents systematized in chronological map.

Flexibelt boende : en multifunktionell möbel för begränsad bostadsyta / Flexible Living : a multifunctional furniture for limited living space

Soubiea, Nicholas January 2017 (has links)
The goal in my bachelor thesis has been to create a multifunctional furniture, a product in which the form has followed the function to allow the user variation for the body and practical functions. The purpose of this project has been to encourage reduction of unnecessary furniture within compact living spaces and instead offer better solutions to practical multifunctional furniture. In my research phase for this project I studied different forms of multifunctional furniture on the market as well as carried out different observational studies of student living and how students generally use their furniture. The first being various visits to different student rums and apartments. The other being a closer study at Malmstens school in which I allowed students to create their own space and interact with the furniture to study how the students used the furniture and how the students sat in the furniture. A basic, yet crucial, survey about multifunctional furniture was sent out to gather information on what people do at home and what type of furniture people prefer if they were to live in a compact space. The research gathered led to the next phase of the project in which many different sketching techniques, both 2d and 3d, resulted in a multifunctional furniture which offers variation within sitting and practical use. As a result of the analysis a furniture prototype will be built and shown at Malmstens Spring Exhibition and Vallastaden Living and House Society Exhibit in September 2017.

Material Library : A sense of material / Materialbibliotek

Ståhl, Daniel January 2014 (has links)
This day of age when an increasing demands for better and more environmental friendlymaterial is requested. At the same time is also higher demands on the designers todevelop new products for the future. To design new products which express a futuristicfeeling and a “must-have-feeling”. Therefore is there a need to educate better designersand architects for the future a better knowledge for material. Both for existing designersand architects but also for new designers. To encourage learning and discover newmaterial is new tools important, a tool such as a meeting point in which people meet, talkand discover new materials. A meeting place in which a material library has its naturalplace, a place designers, architects and laymen can visit. The great advantages of a material library is the possibility to touch and feel the materialsamples. To invite people to use their senses and learn about materials. This report focus on how to best build and present a material library in the facility of apublic place. But also how to construct a mobile module used as a tool for education. Each scenario has their own dilemma and needs, for example, in the University library atJönköping has criterion for a module that fits into the regular exhibition. To present newand innovative material samples in a manner that reminds of how people search forbooks on the shelves. For the mobile module is focus more towards presenting material samples used in theproduction today. The presentation is more focus on presenting material samples during alecture in which the teacher stands in front of a class and pointing towards the materialand students are allowed to touch and feel the material samples when they have thepossibility to do so. Besides this will the mobile module also work as mobile storagelocation for each department’s material samples.

The influence of strategic leadership in an organization: a case study : Ellerine Holdings Limited

Mathura, Vikash January 2010 (has links)
A review of the academic literature related to “strategic leadership” reveals that the performance of an organization will indeed be influenced by the application of this phenomenon. This thesis confines its research to a case study on Ellerine Holdings Limited, a multi-billion rand enterprise that trades in the competitive Southern African furniture retail industry. Following the 2007 acquisition of Ellerine Holdings Limited (EHL) by African Bank Investments Limited (ABIL), a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was appointed to develop and to lead the strategic changes that were envisioned for EHL. The research examines how the performance of EHL has been influenced since the appointment of Toni Fourie as the new CEO in February 2008. Boasting a reputation borne from his previous successes in organizational transformation, Fourie was ABIL’s first-choice leader for this challenge. Fourie displays qualities, attributes, behaviours and traits that are characterized by the phenomenon of “strategic leadership”. He has been the focus of media attention for the aggressive strategic changes that he has introduced within the organization. A quantitative analysis of EHL’s financial performance (between 2007 and 2009) indicated that there was a constant decline in the organization’s PBT (Profit Before Taxation) during the period observed. However, the research determined that turbulent conditions in the macro-economic environment (such as the global economic recession in 2008 and 2009) complemented by mitigating micro-economic factors, would have adversely skewed the conclusions in this document if the research was limited to quantitative analysis alone. Hence, the researcher explored a qualitative research framework by collecting and assimilating data from available documentation, and from formal interviews that were conducted with research participants representing the organization’s new leadership. These participants included the new CEO, Fourie, and the new Director of Strategy, Dr. Louis Carstens. Information was also obtained from informal discussions that were conducted with other senior executives, and with an ex general manager of one of EHL’s business units, who was based in the Eastern Cape region at the time. An examination of all of this data concluded that although Ellerine Holdings Limited was not achieving all of its financialperformance objectives, there was general consensus that the CEO’s strategic choices would yield the desired financial results from the mediumterm (namely, year-03 of his tenure) onwards. The CEO’s optimism and conviction that his strategic interventions will address long-term financial sustainability is shared by both EHL’s internal and external stakeholders. It emerged that EHL’s stakeholders were satisfied with the accelerated progress reflected in the organization’s non-financial performance indices. These indicators included the sowing of a new organizational culture; improved cost-base efficiencies; labour productivity; customer satisfaction; employee empowerment; innovation and creative thinking; collaborative and participative engagement; structural rationalization, and the introduction of new processes and procedures. The research from the EHL case study concluded that the phenomenon of strategic leadership can have a positive influence on various qualitative indicators within an organization. The research also determined that despite unforeseen conditions in both the macro and micro economic environments, an effective strategic leadership will remain committed to its vision, and resilient to its critics and competitors. This research further concludes that successful organizational transformation (within a macro enterprise) is ostensibly dependent on the interventions of a strategic leader who displays a specialist set of skills and behaviours. These strategic leaders have the ability to successfully shift the cognitive paradigms of their employees, thereby creating an enabling environment for the implementation of their strategic choices.

Botes, Nico 10 December 2009 (has links)
Milking stools in the collections of the National Cultural History Museum: an investigation of typology. In this study the physical or other characteristics that might typify the traditional milking stool is investigated. This was done by studying a comparable group of eighteen examples from the Anthropology and Cultural History collections of the National Cultural History Museum in Pretoria. Six of the objects in the group studied had already been associated with the Afrikaans catchword ‘melkstoel’, hence the primary sources that informed the research included the museological data from the existing documentation of the Museum. The investigation confirmed that corresponding physical attributes, especially that pertaining to construction, could be identified in the group studied. It was also found that the objects had seen multiple, but indeterminable, functional applications. Since fifteen of the eighteen examples studied were essentially anonymous, as no documented provenance existed, their origin, history and meaning could not be established. The research was therefore extended to secondary sources, being textual descriptions and images, from which associations and correlations between the group studied and milking stools, especially from Western Europe and the English-speaking world, could be affirmed. Moreover, such links were also found to exist with other stools and certain vernacular chair typologies of shared approach, especially as to their construction. Findings identified certain typological features of the milking stool, but also a symbolic and metaphorical association. Multiple functions of and applications for the milking stool could be ascertained. Copyright / Dissertation (MInt)--University of Pretoria, 2010. / Architecture / unrestricted
