This thesis is theoretically described heating surfaces, radiators and regulation valves. There are also described their features, advantages and disadvantages and division according to design. The aim of the work is determine the dynamics characteristics of heating surfaces and radiators including control valves, which are parts of measurement panel. Based on the measurement are determined appropriate characteristics of which are calculated values for regulating. The result of this study can serve as a guide to the practical measurement method of dynamics characteristics of the real-working heating systems, or serve as a template for the settings according to the measured data.

The aim of this thesis is to create data acquisition application. The software module is designed for the industrial panel PC. Power Panel 520 from Bernecker + Reiner and the data acquisition board NI USB-6215 from National Instruments represent the fundamental hardware components for this project. Data acquisition and visualization tasks are controlled by a standalone application made in LabVIEW 2011. OPC, industrial standard in communication, is responsible for mutual interconnection between control (PLC) and data acquisition part. Network shared variables and Apple iPad 2 allow remote surveillance for operator. Finally, the creation of user-friendly interface and integration of technologies from different vendors, are main goals of this project.

Kalibrační postupy etalonu Datron 4920 / Calibration rutines of the standard Datron 4920Schinneck, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
This master’s deals with the calibration routines of the alternating voltage measurement standard Datron 4920. The first part introduces the basic terminology of metrology, its history and organizations specializing in metrology. The thesis describes the alternating voltage at the highest metrological level through AC/DC difference. The theoretical part also describes the alternating voltage measurement standard Datron 4920 and its measurement functions together with the calibration routines. The main aim of thesis is to create the calibration procedures AVMS Datron 4920. Based on the created calibration procedures, a flowchart of application for calibration routines is designed. The practical part then continues with programming application for calibrating AVMS Datron 4920 based on the created flowchart. In conclusion, the application is tested at selected points of measurement and an analysis of measurement uncertainties is carried out.

HETEROGENEOUS BATTERY SYSTEMS IN BATTERY EQUIPPED PASSENGER TRAINSLundin, Emil, Bergelin, Johan January 2021 (has links)
The rise of batteries in the industry, especially Li-ion, is increasing rapidly. Li-ion battery systems are traditionally composed of a particular type of cell chemistry fit to the system needs. Due to the significant differences between chemistries, different cells have different attributes. The thesis explores the potential of a heterogeneous solution to include different cells to find a suitable compromise between different attributes. An electrified passenger train using a homogenous solution was evaluated against a heterogeneous solution consisting of two cell types, NMC and LTO, which have significant differences in attributes. Simulation with models covering the train kinematics, track characteristics, and battery behaviour generates the thesis results. Validation of simulation results includes comparing previous simulations and the new effects of the heterogeneous solution, which indicate a good fit. Verification of the results encompasses a small-scale experiment with a custom-made physical circuit to observe the proposed solution's actual behaviour and verify model validity, which implies the correctness of models and implementation. The results indicate that a heterogeneous solution is possible within the scope of electrified trains. Furthermore, several trade-offs exist between NMC and LTO cells, especially regarding rate capability, safety and capacity, which confirms the potential of heterogeneous battery systems.

Analysis of Accuracy for Engine and Gearbox SensorsDogantimur, Erkan, Johnsson, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
This thesis provides a standardized method to measure accuracy for engine and gearbox sensors. Accuracy is defined by ISO 5725, which states that trueness and precision need to be known to provide a metric for accuracy. However, obtaining and processing the data required for this is not straight forward. In this thesis, a method is presented that consists of two main parts: data acquisition and data analysis. The data acquisition part shows how to connect all of the equipment used and how to sample and store all the raw data from the sensors. The data analysis part shows how to process that raw data into statistical data, such as trueness, repeatability and reproducibility for the sensors. Once repeatability and reproducibility are known, the total precision can be determined. Accuracy can then be obtained by using information from trueness and precision. Besides, this thesis shows that measurement error can be separated into error caused by the sensors and error caused by the measurand. This is useful information, because it can be used to assess which type of error is the greatest, whether or not it can be compensated for, and if it is economically viable to compensate for such error. The results are then shown, where it is possible to gain information about the sensors’ performance from various graphs. Between Hall and inductive sensors, there were no superior winner, since they both have their strengths and weaknesses. The thesis ends by making recommendations on how to compensate for some of the errors, and how to improve upon the method to make it more automatic in the future.
