“Ena dagen kan de hänga medkriminella och andra dagen spelafotboll i ett fotbollslag, de har intevalt sitt liv än” : En kvalitativ studie om samverkan kring att förebyggaungdomskriminalitet i en medelstor kommun i Sverige / “One day they can hang out with criminals and the other play football in a footballteam, they have not chosen their lives yet”

Kohlström, Adrian, Zado, Albertina January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this essay was to examine how a municipality in Sweden collaborates usingcooperation in preventive work around dealing with juvenile delinquency, how juveniledelinquency is seen by the actors in the collaboration and the experiences working usingcollaboration. The study is based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviewswith nine actors involved in collaboration with preventing juvenile delinquency. Theinterviews were analyzed using the method thematic analysis. The finding of the study wasthat occupation (leisure activities), and role models are the dominating views about howcrimes are prevented for youth, and that these views overlap with the kind of efforts thatare made to prevent crime in the municipality. Secrecy was seen as the main hindrance inthe collaboration, as the social service is bound by secrecy which leads to trouble regardingfeedback about individuals. Relationship building was an important part, especially sincein the areas there was a low trust towards authority. Overall, the collaboration worked well, and many actors were involved. Differences from other municipalities that the study hasfound were that civil society was an important player in this municipality, where it is usedas a bridge for police and social services to reach young people and as eyes on areas tocreate a better overall picture of the areas.

Praha / Analysis of the current offer of leisure activities with focus on physical activity for primary school pupils with special needs in Prague

Nováková, Eva January 2021 (has links)
Title: Analysis of the current offer of leisure activities with focus on physical activity for primary school pupils with special needs in Prague Objectives: The main objective of this work is to analyze the services offered in the field of leisure activities with focus on sports and physical activity (PA) for primary school pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in Prague. Methods: We use two sources of data in our qualitative research. The first source is data obtained from the analysis of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports specifically for this research. The second source of data is a modified survey questionnaire created by Linhartova (2018). The questionnaire responses were obtained from 49 respondents, who were managers of centers and instructors of PA who provide leisure PA in Prague. Results: The research discovered insufficient support for PA among Prague primary school pupils with SEN in their free time. It turned out that on the one hand the offer of provided PA is not adapted to children with SEN and in the same way the offered activities are used by these children only to a very small extent, where it is more about individuals. The study also points to a set of barriers limiting the implementation of these PA. We identified obstacles in the area of insufficient...

Ökad fysisk aktivitet bland ungdomar : En litteraturöversikt / Increased physical activities among adolescents : An literature review

von Stedingk, Måns January 2021 (has links)
Introduction: Physical activity is one of the most important protective factors for good health. However, physical activity is declining, not least among young people. As many as 67% of 11-year-olds and around 75% of 15-year-olds in Sweden do not reach the goals of being physically active for at least one hour a day. The sports movement in Sweden attracts many but also shows reduced membership numbers. In sports, there are also difficulties in reaching young people with low socio-economic status. Aim: The aim was to investigate which factors affect young people's physical activity and whether different types of activities attract different target groups. Method: A literature review was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative data via the databases PubMed and CINAHL. Thematic analysis was used as the analysis method. Results: Physical activity is based on opportunities for support, self-determination, conditions in the family and socio-economic conditions. The school is an important arena in creating awareness and disseminating information about the importance of physical activity. Support from adults and the opportunity to influence is important for young people to be physically active. Conclusion: Young people need support and information to become physically active. School, leisure activities and guardians need to support all young people and offer opportunities for physical activity.

Trávení volného času očima dětí ohrožených sociálním vyloučením / Spending free time through the eyes of children threatened by social exclusion

Stropnická, Alžběta January 2011 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the phenomenon of the social exclusion to the specifications of socially excluded children. My target was to answer these questions: How children threatened by social exclusion spend their free time? Are they satisfied with these ways and do they feel any limitations to spend a free time in different way? The theoretical part I focused on the theoretical definitions of the concept of social exclusion and other theoretical related concepts like integration, social inclusion or culture of poverty. Further I was dealing with definition of free time and in addition I described briefly a town called Neratovice where children participated in my research live, visit the school or do some leisure activities. For the research, I selected a quantitative research method - four semi-standardized interviews with children threatened by social exclusion at the age of 6-11 years. In addition children drew a time schedule of their common week day and weekend day. In practical part I analyzed the data from research, compare it with the data from other researches and suggest some recommendation based on these data in theoretical context published in theoretical part. Key words: social exclusion, integration, social inclusion, culture of poverty, Gypsy, free time, leisure activities, children

Strukturerade fritidsaktiviteter som en förebyggande åtgärd mot ungdomskriminalitet : En litteraturstudie / Structured leisure activities as a preventive measure against juvenile delinquency : A literature study

Rosander, Karin, Dockens, Paula January 2023 (has links)
Introduction: Juvenile delinquency constitutes a public health concern with detrimental implications for both the young individuals and society collectively. Inkludering, delaktighet och inflytande : Framgång till det komplexa uppdraget i fritidsverksamheten / Inclusion, participation and influence : Success to the complex assignment in leisure time activities

Astvik, Lisa, Wahlberg, Michaela January 2023 (has links)
There are concepts that are multifaceted and difficult to concretize in the world of school. In this study, we describe how leisure time pedagogues work and plan an activity where pupils are to be given meaningful leisure time. For pupils to feel this they need to be included, involved and given influence. This is something that has proven to be not entirely easy to practice in leisure time activities. We have collected data and information using focus group interviews for both the pupils and the teachers at two schools in Stockholm. The pupils have had their voices heard in how they experience leisure time activities. We have also investigated how the pedagogues approached a children's perspective in planning the pupils leisure time activities. The results show that these are important concepts to understand but are difficult to practice and implement in leisure time activities.

How and with whom you spend your time matters: An examination of familial relationships, leisure activities, and dementia development

McDaniel, Erika Cooksey 09 August 2022 (has links)
Dementia is an interminable disorder characterized by a decrease in cognitive functioning behavioral and emotional changes, and an overall diminishment in quality of life that usually affects the older population. In the coming decades, scientists estimate that the number of sufferers will reach over 100 million worldwide. Though there is currently no cure for any form of dementia, the theory of cognitive reserve posits certain lifestyle characteristics (i.e., educational attainment, SES, and/or career path) can mitigate the risk of dementia by improving cognitive resilience over an individual’s lifetime. The current study sought to discover what, if any, effects familial relationships, leisure activities, and volunteer service have on an individual’s level of cognitive impairment and ability to remember in his or her later years. Independent sample t-tests and hierarchical linear regression were used to analyze data from Wave 2 (1989, n = 2,867) and Wave 5 (2011, n = 1,319) of the Americans’ Changing Lives (ACL) survey. The study found that marital status, spending time with friends, and having pets, volunteer service, and time spent reading were associated with lower levels of cognitive impairment at the time of Wave 2, while marital status, spending time with friends, and spending time reading was associated with lower levels of cognitive impairment at the time of Wave 5, controlling for cognitive impairment at Wave 2. Furthermore, marital status, time spent reading, and visiting with friends was associated with less difficult remembering at the time of Wave 2.
