The thesis defines the obligations of housing associations in the area of occupational safety and health protection. The theoretical part provides the overview of legal and normative requirements. The practical part analyses how these requirements are fulfilled in the selected housing association. Finally the thesis offers the up-to-date register of legal requirements and the recommendations for improvement.

The purpose of this report is to, with systems theory, explore how a mentor’s possible leaderships-style affected the perceived occupational safety and health, and learning experience of sea captain students during their internship. The internship is an obligatory course where the students get the opportunity to practically apply theoretical knowledge.  The only prior reports in this field focused on the perspective of the mentor and not the student. Two types of systems-theoretical leadership-styles are examined through the experience of the students, and which effect those leadership-styles have in a closed system. The methodology in the gathering of data used in this report was led interview with a set form of questions. Ten students from a maritime academy were interviewed, with the subject based in systems theory and workplace environment. The results of the interview were analysed with the help of system theory. The result of the study concluded that one of the leadership styles could partly be connected to a positive experience of their mentor and learning experience, but neither of the leadership styles could be connected to discomfort or insecurity during the time on-board. Also, other factors, such as the mentor’s experience and background, and chemistry between the parties, affected the students experience. / Arbetets syfte var att med systemteori undersöka hur handledares eventuella ledarskapsstilar påverkade sjökaptensstudenters upplevda arbetsmiljö och lärande under den fartygsförlagda utbildningen. Den fartygsförlagda utbildningen är ett obligatoriskt moment där studenterna får möjlighet att praktiskt tillämpa teoretisk kunskap. Den enda rapport som fanns inom detta fält fokuserade på handledarens, och inte studentens, perspektiv. Två systemteoretiska ledarskapsstilar granskas mot studenternas upplevelse och vilken gränsöverskridande effekt de kan ha i ett slutet system. Datainsamlingsmetoden i denna rapport var en planerad intervju efter ett intervjuformulär. Intervjuerna genomfördes med tio studenter från en sjöfartshögskola med basis i systemteori och arbetsmiljö. Intervjuernas resultat granskades med hjälp av systemteori. Resultatet av studien visade att en av ledarstilarna kunde delvis kopplas med en positiv handledarupplevelse och gott lärande, men en ingen av ledarstilarna kunde heller kopplas till vantrivsel eller osäkerhet under tiden ombord. Även andra faktorer, såsom handledarens erfarenhet och bakgrund, samt personkemi påverkade studentens upplevelse.

Einleitung: Die arbeitsmedizinische Tätigkeit bewegt sich heute im Spannungsfeld zwischen medizinischer Heilkunst und kundenorientierter Dienstleistung. Sie hat sich mit Fragen der Regulierung und Deregulierung und des betriebswirtschaftlichen Kalküls auseinanderzusetzen. An den Naht- und Schnittstellen eines integrierten und abgestimmten Managementsystems werden Qualität, Wirksamkeit und Effektivität des betrieblichen Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutzes bestimmt. Gesundheitscontrolling ist eine Spezialisierung des allgemeinen Controllings mit einer funktions- oder objektspezifischen Ausprägung zur Unterstützung und Beratung des Managements. Der Begriff Gesundheitscontrolling ist nicht abschließend definiert und bezieht sich je nach Autor auf Aspekte des betrieblichen Gesundheitsmanagements (BGM), Qualitätsmanagements, Risikomanagements, Gesundheitsmonitorings sowie der Personalentwicklung und Kostenrechnung. Fragestellung: „Was verbindet der Arbeitsmediziner als Gesundheitsexperte im betrieblichen Handlungsfeld mit dem Begriff des Gesundheitscontrollings und ist oder könnte Gesundheitscontrolling für den Arbeitsmediziner ein effektives Instrument der Zielerreichung von Maßnahmen des betrieblichen Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutzes sein?“ Die als heuristische Ausgangsüberlegung formulierte Gegenhypothese besagt, dass Arbeitsmediziner mit dem Thema Gesundheitscontrolling wenig verbindet. Zielsetzung: Befragung im Hinblick auf Begriffsverständnis, Motivation, Erfahrung und Kenntnisstand von Gesundheitscontrolling zur Widerlegung der getroffenen Annahme. Methode: Online-Befragung unter Arbeitsmedizinern plus Vertiefung durch vier teilstrukturierte persönliche Interviews. Die quantifizierten Ergebnisse wurden vor dem Hintergrund der Forschungsliteratur zum Thema interpretiert. Ergebnisse: Teilnehmerzahl von 115 mit insgesamt 2770 Antworten als (nicht repräsentative) zufällige Stichprobe aus der Grundgesamtheit der deutschen Arbeitsmediziner. Erkennbare Trends und differenzierte Aussagen lassen den Schluss zu, dass eine relevante Anzahl von Arbeitsmedizinern in Deutschland sich differenziert, praktisch und kritisch mit dem Thema Gesundheitscontrolling und den Reflektionen auf ihre eigene Tätigkeit auseinandersetzen.

Although Workplace Risk Assessments (WRA) are legally required in all EU member states and widely considered to be a core element of occupational safety and health (OSH) management, the state of their implementation at company level is still viewed rather critically, both in quantitative and qualitative terms. In this study, data from a representative company survey (N = 6500) were used to estimate the frequency of different patterns (and corresponding quality levels) of WRA practice in Germany and to determine organisational factors influencing the chance of occurence of these WRA patterns. Results show that only one out of four companies carry out WRAs which not only meet the essential procedural requirements but also take account of potential risk areas in a fairly comprehensive manner. Multinomial logistic regression analysis further revealed that company size is by far the strongest predictor of WRA activity, especially of its more developed forms. Availability of safety specialist assistance, availability of occupational health specialist assistance, affiliation to the production sector, presence of an employee representative body and a good economic situation of the company were each associated with WRA activity as well. The still considerable deficiencies in WRA coverage and quality indicated by this study clearly call for an intensification of WRA-related control and advisory efforts by the OSH authorities, primarily in small companies and in the private services sector. Findings also suggest that reinforcement of worker representation structures at company level and strengthening professional OSH expert utilisation would be beneficial for WRA implementation.

В работе определено понятие стержневой компетенции. Рассматривается идентификация стержневых компетенций в компании. Выявлены тенденции развития рынка услуг в области обеспечения безопасности труда. Изучены потребительские предпочтения. Произведена оценка компетенций команды сотрудников на примере многопрофильной организации Учебно-экспертный центр «Строитель». Предлагается методика формирования стержневой компетенции. Показаны результаты апробации предложенной методики на примере многопрофильной организации. / Definition of company’s core competences helps to understand potential of its development and provides basis of active management of the most valuable resources of the company. Сoncept of core competence is defined in the work. Identification of company’s core competence is considered. Tendencies in the development of the occupational safety and health services market belief is identified. Consumer preferences are studied. The competence of the team of employees was evaluated on the example of the multidisciplinary organization "Educational and Expert Center "Stroitel ". As a theme for my Master's Thesis I chose the theme of problems which are connected with application of Occupational Safety and Health Protection principles in practice. The aim of the Master's Thesis is to outline possible problems which we could come across while implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Protection policy and to map a major part of important legal enactments covering sphere of Occupational Safety and Health Protection. The Master's Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part I at first briefly outline historical development of legal regulation in the Czech Republic then I proceed to a summary and characteristics of the most important contemporary legal enactments whereas I don' t omit an European legal regulation and legal regulation within the framework of International Labour Organisation. Another important part of the theoretical part is devoted to national policy of occupational safety and health protection at work. In the practical part I present the Occupational Safety and Health Protection problematic in practice and I focus on training, analysis and risk classification and formation of risk register in company Hella Autotechnik, s.r.o.

A Segurança no Trabalho no Brasil é um tema que merece ser explorado. Todos os anos milhares de trabalhadores sofrem lesões durante a realização de suas atividades laborais. Diversos estudos demonstram a influência do ambiente sobre o comportamento das pessoas, sendo o Clima de Segurança um construto bastante explorado. Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral identificar fatores que explicam o comportamento dos trabalhadores em relação à segurança bem como analisar a relação existente entre esses fatores. Tendo em vista a importância do ambiente organizacional nas questões relacionadas à segurança do trabalho, foi escolhida uma empresa industrial brasileira de grande porte para a realização desta pesquisa. Foi realizada uma análise do contexto organizacional, bem como uma avaliação do comportamento dos trabalhadores em relação à segurança com base na Teoria da Ação Planejada. Com base no modelo proposto, também foi avaliada a relação entre a Supervisão direta dos operadores como fator que explica o comportamento desses em relação à segurança. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstraram que o comportamento dos trabalhadores pode ser explicado com base na Teoria da Ação Planejada e que a Supervisão tem relação com o comportamento, mediada pelos construtos do modelo proposto. / Occupational Safety and Health issue in Brazil in a subject that matters. Every year thousands of workers get injuries along its working activities. Several researches demonstrate the environment influence over people behavior, being Safety Climate a well explored construct. This research brings as general objective identify the factors that explain the worker\'s behavior toward safety and also analyze the relationship among these factors. Considering the organizational environment relevance regarding safety issues, a large industrial Brazilian company was selected to contribute to this study. Its organizational context was evaluated, as well as the worker\'s behavior toward safety based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. Based on the proposed model, it was also evaluated the relationship between worker\'s direct Supervision as a factor that explain their behaviors toward safety. The results demonstrated that the worker\'s behavior can be explained based on Theory of Planned Behavior and that Supervision set influence on worker\'s behavior, mediated by TPB constructs.
