The analysis begun with the conception of the project coniemplated by award "Prêmio Estímulo Flávio Rangel-20Q5"\ granted by Secretary of State for Culture from the Government of São Paulo, made an overview on rehearses process until the premiere of the play and its circulation - and maintenance - since 2006. The focus has been given the relations of production set by a theater company newly created by graduating students of the Performing Arts by UNJCAMP, supported by public funds to create a spectacle and, consequently, the importance of these funds on the company path's. Ultimately the research effort here was to build a genetic critical over the play CHALAÇA a peça, where the generating process of the work and its relations of production were more significant than the final result to obtain the critical mentioned / Mestrado / Mestre em Artes

Exploring the influence of persuasive reminders and virtual rehearsal on the efficacy of health behavior change support system

Langrial, S. (Sitwat) 16 May 2014 (has links)
Abstract Information technologies have opened new opportunities to develop persuasive systems that support people to adopt and sustain healthy behaviors. Both web-based and ubiquitous information systems have shown promising results in supporting people to adopt healthy routines. Persuasive systems have therefore received increasing attention from researchers over the past decade. Behavior Change Support Systems are an object of persuasive technology. These systems are designed to facilitate behavior change process over an extended period of time. This dissertation comprises of six studies, including two investigative, two experimental, and two field studies. An effort has been made to consecutively build these studies to formulate a central research question: To what extent virtual rehearsal augmented with reminders influence overall efficacy of health Behavior Change Support Systems? The primary theoretical underpinning is the Persuasive Systems Design model, which highlights seven postulates and twenty-eight software features for developing Behavior Change Support Systems. However, in the presented work, reminders and virtual rehearsal are explicitly studied. The interplay between these software features is examined through using a mixed-method research approach, using qualitative methodology as a core research approach. The results indicate that carefully selected and integrated persuasive software features have significant impact on the overall efficacy of Behavior Change Support Systems. Presented work addresses health behavioral change as a critical aspect of healthcare, and also extends contemporary research on critical issues in healthcare including task adherence, attrition and compliance. Yksi vakuuttavan teknologian tutkimuskohteista on käyttäytymisen muutoksen tukijärjestelmät. Nämä järjestelmät on suunniteltu helpottamaan käyttäytymisen muutoksessa pitkähkön aikajakson kuluessa.

Show Must Go On! Scenframställningar I Grundskolan : Förutsättningar, tillvägagångssätt och legitimitet / Show must go on! Stage performances in Swedish compulsary schools : Conditions, approaches and legitimacy

Zavalov, Ivan January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to find out through interviews how five Swedish compulsory school music teachers describe their role and experience of managing and working with stage performances. Results show that conditions vary greatly between schools. Three out of five teachers were heavily dependent on pupil’s choice – a recently removed selective subject that enabled pupils to deepen and broaden their knowledge in one or more subjects – for organizing and managing such activities. School administrators’ attitude and ways of prioritizing are pointed out as crucial for creating the necessary conditions. Teachers observe higher levels of student democracy regarding the process and the content and thus also notice a change in their own role toward tutors rather than teachers. All teachers find support in the curriculum in order to justify these activities and mention several aspects of value they have for their pupils, such as academical, social, personal, as well as preparatory for their future careers.

Alba Emoting: A Safe, Effective, and Versatile Technique for Generating Emotions in Acting Performance

Baker, Angela Katherine 13 July 2008 (has links) (PDF)
This thesis proposes that Alba Emoting™ is a safe, effective, and versatile technique of generating emotions for acting performance. Alba Emoting is safe because it resolves four major problems some actors experience while generating emotions for acting performance. These problems include, &ldqup;emotional hijacking,” “emotional hangover,” “emotional blockage,” and using emotional memories which are faded, incomplete, inconsistent, or full of mixed emotions. Alba Emoting solves these four problems through the help of certified trainers, the step-out procedure, and the emotional effector patterns, which allow actors consistent access to a large range of emotions. Alba Emoting is effective because it enables actors to control emotional inspiration through technique to create emotions that are felt by the actor and audience. It is versatile because it can be integrated with various rehearsal and emotional exploration techniques. This thesis demonstrates how Alba Emoting may be used with aspects of Stanislavski's System of Acting and Jeremy Whelan's Mosaic Acting System. It also demonstrates how Alba Emoting is used by Hyrum Conrad to create his ArcWork. The purpose of this thesis is to convince universities, conservatories, and other acting training programs to teach Alba Emoting as a technique for generating emotion in acting performance.

Dokumenterande respektive konstnärligt filmad metod för instudering av jazzdansmaterial : En kvalitativ studie om film som instuderingsmetod / A documenting respectively screendance recorded rehearsal method for jazz dance material : A qualitative study about video recording as a rehearsing method within jazz dance education

Boutros Moussa, Alexandra January 2024 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to investigate a documenting respectively screendance recorded rehearsal method for jazz dance material, in a way that interacts with one's own way of learning. The study has been done through interviews, film and observations with the help of a student in dance pedagogy. The literature on the subject has been limited, which led into the gathering of literature from several fields. To analyze the material, I have used a thematic analysis as well as an observation scheme combined with a focus on dance analysis of the following jazz dance components conducted by Katarina Lundmark: width & height, precision, timing, coordination and musical expression (2011). The analysis of the interviews resulted in a total of 10 themes, of which 4 belongs to the respective filming method. The observations compared two jazz dance phrases that were both filmed on two occasions one week apart from each other and created a result for how each jazz dance component affected the performance in the respective jazz dance phrase. One of the study's findings shows that working with film as a rehearsing method requires a clearly situated purpose where the internal processes actively interact with the external processes. /
