Arbetet handlar om en stadsdels exploatering i förhållande till staden som den skiljs från genom ett vattenrum. Stadsdelens placering gör att det är ett avstånd till stadskärnan där alla funktioner såsom handel, service, kommunikationer, nöjen och restauranger med mera finns. Regionförstoringen ställer krav på mindre orter och småstäder när avstånd mäts i tid istället för kilometer, samtidigt som kraven på attraktiva boende- och livsmiljöer ständigt ökar i konkurrensen om nya invånare. Förhållandet mellan stad och land är en faktor som spelar stor roll i utvecklingen av de städer och orter som inte är dominerande i regionen. Sölvesborg är en småstad med medeltida rötter i Blekinge län som har haft en stor nedgång i sitt näringsliv när den stora arbetsplatsen på orten lade ner under 1980-talet. Sölvesborgs kommun ligger i en expansiv region med stora arbetsgivare i de kringliggande kommunerna vilket har lett till att stora delar av befolkningen pendlar ut ur kommunen för att arbeta. Staden är en trädgårdsstad, som ligger på Sölvesborgsvikens västra sida, som lockar med ett attraktivt boende med närhet till både skog och skärgård. Sölvesborg har goda kommunikationer och flera större städer i närheten. För att kunna locka till sig flera invånare har beslut fattats att ett område på den östra sidan av Sölvesborgsviken exploateras. Det innebär att den historiskt sett obebyggda delen av viken skall bli en del av staden. Kommunen har upprättat en detaljplan för ett bostadsområde som har döpts till Ljungaviken och förbinds till staden med en gång- och cykelbro över vattenrummet. Jag har valt att analysera kommunens planförslag med hjälp av en ortsanalys som innehöll delar som geografi, karaktär, historia, funktioner, trafikstruktur, bebyggelsestruktur med mera samt en SWOT-analys gav sedan ett antal slutsatser som har legat till grund för mitt planförslag för stadsdelen. I planförslaget har det förts ett resonemang om förhållandet mellan stad och land, samt husr stadsdelen kan knyta an till den befintliga bebyggelsen så att det inte skapas barriärer annat än dde geografiska som redan finns. Vilken karaktär stadsdelen skall ha är en annan grundläggande fråga som behövde besvaras. Likaså hur stadsdelen skall möta sina omgivningar och de andra bebyggelseområdena i som finns i dess närhet har lett till resonemang om både strukturen på bebyggelsen och  grönområdena. De slutsatser som ortsanalysen avslöjade gav mig förutsättningar att utveckla stadsdelen i en annan riktning än vad kommunen har gjort vilket innebär att jag har skapat en stadsdel som har fler funktioner än vad som detaljplanen medger. Likaså har planförslaget en stadsmässighet och en koppling till omgivningarna som saknas i kommunens förslag. Jag hoppas att detta arbetet skall ses som ett diskussionsunderlag för hur stadsdelar i perifera lägen skall utvecklas.

The main task is to develop a proposal for an Activity Center in Sölvesborg with parkour and spontaneous athletics as the starting point. The intention is to create spaces that is suited for the needs of SSA. The goal is to enable the association to increase the amount of activities held as well as providing the participants with a custom designed training facility that increases the overall quality of each session.  Supporting services and logistics that make it possible to run daily activities will also be considered and designed in this assignment.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Sweden Democrats’ cultural policy by using two high profile cases in two different counties. The questions can be summarized as follows: What types of discourses can be found within the debates on the county- and national level about the Sweden Democrats’ cultural policy in general and their view on the so-called arm’s length principle in particular? What actions are taken in counties with a Sweden Democrats leadership?What type of role does culture politics play as an instrument for different actors? By using critical discourse analysis, I analyze the debates regarding socio-cultural practice, drawing on a perspective of sociological neo-institutionalism. The result of this study shows that there is a cultural- freedom discourse and a democratic discourse hegemony contested by a rightwing populist discourse and a cultural heritage discourse. This hegemony still maintains the arm’s length principle, while the rightwing populist discourse and the cultural heritage discourse challenge it’s meaning. This has led to institutional changes in form of research about the state cultural freedom and the arm’s length principle from the department of culture.

Our aim with this study has been to show the central factors that we consider have had animpact on public libraries in the "information society". We have studied two communities in the south of Sweden, Ronneby and Sölvesborg. These two communities have both started a development to the IT society, a society where information plays a great role, where the technique is the tool that supplies information.Ronneby community had early the aim to be the chief Swedish information center. A priority on information technology has therefore been obvious for them. Sölvesborg community has had another method and time schedule towards the IT society.We have been studying the documentation of aim and the strategy for IT development in different levels. We have carried out interviews where we were dealing with questions about documentation of aim, competence and evaluation.An investigation has been carried out among librarians and politicians just to get an apprehension of their knowledge in the IT development. The persons wbo are responsible of the IT system in the libraries, have filled in a checklist in order to give us an apprehension how the IT equipment has been changing during the last years.

Sölvesborg är en stad under expansion, dit lockas folk av en lantlig idyll nära havet. Sölvesborgs kommun har som mål att öka invånarantalet från 16 000 till 20 000 fram till år 2020. Kommunen äger fastigheten Hydro vilken är centralt belägen i Sölvesborg i anslutning till tågstationen. Idag används fastigheten Hydro till en parkeringsyta och kommunen vill att fastigheten ska planeras om för att bli en ny central knytpunkt i Sölvesborg som binder ihop tågstationen och förlänger centrumstråket. Detta examensarbete leder till färdiga förslagshandlingar för fastigheten. Koncept och handlingar tas fram utefter analyser som gjorts kring hur staden är uppbyggd och vilka intressen som finns. Detta resulteras i en byggnad som har en större kommersiell del i markplan och plan 2 till plan 11 är tillägnade med fyra stycken lägenheter per plan. Ledordet för arkitekturen har varit att försöka skapa ett nytt landmärke för Sölvesborg, föra in den moderna arkitekturen i en större skala i ett gammalt småskaligt samhälle på ett naturligt sätt. / Sölvesborg is a city under expansion, people are attracted by a rural idyll close to the sea and the municipality's goal is to increase the population from 16,000 to 20,000 until year 2020. The municipality owns the property Hydro which is located in the central parts of Sölvesborg adjacent to the train station. Today the property Hydro is used as a parking space, the municipality is interested to change the property. They want to make it to a new central hub in Sölvesborg, connecting the railway station and extend the center strip. Our work is to create concept drawings for the property Hydro, These concept drawings are based on analyzes regarding the context of the city and the city’s citizens. This has resulted in a building that has a larger commercial area in the ground floor and above the ground floor are ten floors with four apartments on each floor. The guiding principle for the design has been to try to create a new landmark for Sölvesborg, bringing in the modern architecture on a larger scale in the old small scale society in a natural way.
