Följande undersökning behandlar uppbyggnaden av en CV-film med utgångspunkt isociologen Erving Goffmans teori om identitet och självrepresentation samtfilmteoretikern David Bordwells teori om narratologi. Goffmans teori har använts föratt ta reda på vad som ska framställas i filmen medan Bordwells teori applicerats påfrågan om hur filmen ska framställas. Inom det teoretiska ramverket finns även StuartHalls teori om representation för att kunna belysa teorierna av Goffman och Bordwellutifrån ett gemensamt perspektiv. Fokusgruppmetoden har använts för att kvalitativtsamla information om vad en CV-film bör kommunicera till skillnad från ett skriftligtCV. Samt hur den bör utformas för att vara så användbar som möjligt.Resultatet visade att filmen inte bör vara längre än 2-3 minuter för att behållapublikens intresse. Vidare utmärkte sig kopplingen mellan platser, personliga sakeroch personen som framställs. Vems film det är och dennes egenskaper måste framgåtydligt, annars förlorar filmen sitt syfte. Undersökningen visade också på olika sätthur detta kan uppnås, exempelvis genom textning i filmen och ett väl föreberettmanus. En ny genre kan inte påstås ha uppkommit men däremot en början till ett nyttformspråk och definitivt något som kan utforskas vidare.

本文凡六章，除諸言及結論外，分章就政府職能理論，租稅總論租稅各論及公債理論。加以研討。 一、關於政府職能及經費理論: 密爾將政府的職能劃分為必要的與法定稅率之比，則為累退稅。 ( 二 )假如納稅人的邊際儲蓄傾向等於一減較小級距約有效稅率與法定稅率之比，則為比例稅。 ( 三 )假如納稅人的邊際儲蓄傾向小於一減較小級距的有效稅率與法定稅率之比，則為遞減累進稅。 三、租稅各論: ( 一 )所得稅: 他曾明確指出，實行所得稅必須具備四個要件: (1) 最低生活費免稅; (2) 就超過最低生活費以上部份，按此例課稅; (3) 儲蓄投資部份不計入課稅所得; 及(4) 公眾道德良好。人人皆誠實申報。而第(4) 個要件為先決條件。他一再地說，儲蓄投資不予免稅的所得稅，不能算是公平的。因為他認為若無此項免稅，則對於儲蓄不無重複課稅之嫌。 ( 二 )土地稅: 對於非因勞力或資本支出所致的土地增值( 應剔除貨幣貶值兩增值的部份 )，國家得視需要，課以百分之百以下( 含100% )的任何稅率。亦即土地( 包括市地及農地 )因自然因素而引任意的兩種。他以為政府除了國防、司法、治安及教育等必職能外，不宜做得大多。因此主張政府的課稅職能愈小愈好。換言之，既持經費縮小論。然則，他認為政府對於攸關公眾利益而為人民所不願經營者，應責無旁貸的負責執行，諸如道路、橋樑、港埠、水利工程等基本公共設施，應加建設，以利經濟發展的嘉惠百姓。他指陳法律規定未盡完善與司法行政效率低落將產生不良的經濟後果。但暴君誅求，貪官斂財，其為害尤甚。自由約喪失較之生命財產保障的不足，其弊損為大。他不贊成政府對高利貸及工人為工資問題所採取的集體行動而加以干涉。 二、租稅總論: 他贊揚亞當斯密司的課稅四原則，然而，關於公平原則，他卻主張採能力說，而按此課稅，也就是平等犧牲的原則。他所謂比例課稅，係指就超過最低生活費以上部份比例課征。但又主張儲蓄與投資的部份應予免稅，故實質上，可能是遞減累進稅，或比例稅，或累退稅，端視納稅人的邊際儲蓄傾向而定: ( 一 )假使納稅人的邊際儲蓄傾向大於一減較小級距約有效稅率與額度等兩個原則，則未嘗不可發行公債。

De tout ce qui fut écrit en lien avec cet événement, il ressort deux tendances principales. Tandis que certains clament la prééminence d’Orazio Gentileschi sur sa fille en se basant sur le message véhiculé tant dans l’exposition que dans son catalogue, d’autres, rassemblés autour des féministes, remettent en question cette vision en relevant les partis-pris culturels jouant en défaveur des femmes. Le jumelage expositionnel constitue un événement muséal temporaire dans lequel deux artistes sont juxtaposés afin de faciliter un jugement comparatif. Parmi les épisodes récents de cette nature, on compte notamment Matisse-Picasso. Nous nous pencherons ensuite sur deux artistes issus d'une même famille, mais appartenant à deux générations différentes, à savoir : Orazio et Artemisia Gentileschi. En relation avec l’exposition qui leur fut dédiée en 2002, nous nous demanderons plus précisément comment la prédominance que désiraient accorder les commissaires à Orazio Gentileschi s'articule devant la célébrité affirmée d’Artemisia depuis 1916. Le dossier critique de l'événement servira de point de départ à notre étude. Toute exposition constituant un discours, nous analyserons les commentaires et critiques provenant tant des revues savantes que populaires. La théorie de la réception de Stuart Hall aidera à catégoriser les différentes interventions selon qu'elles appartiennent au code hégémonique, c'est-à-dire à la vision exprimée par les commissaires, au code oppositionnel, correspondant ici à la critique féministe, ou encore au code négocié qui représente une synthèse des deux tendances précédemment mentionnées. / Orazio and Artemisia Gentileschi: Father and Daughter Painters in Baroque Italy took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from 14 February 14 to 12 May 2002. Of all that was written about the event, two main tendencies stand out. While some claim Orazio’s preeminence by basing their assumption on both the exhibition and its catalogue, feminists call into question this assumption by drawing attention to cultural biases that disfavor women’s artistic recognition. The exhibitional pairing formula constitutes an extension of this phenomenon by allowing the public to make up their own judgement. Among recent episodes of that nature, we can think of Matisse-Picasso. We are also going to study two artists of the same family, to wit, Orazio and Artemisia Gentileschi. Relative to the exhibition dedicated to them in 2002, we are going to ask ourselves how Orazio’s dominance defended by the two exhibition organizers is articulated with Artemisa’s celebrity. The critical dossier of the event will serve as the starting point of our analysis. Considering that every exhibition constitutes a discourse, we are going to examine both popular and academic comments and critiques of the event. Stuart Hall’s reception theory is also going to assist us in determining if these interventions belong to the exhibition curators’ dominant code, the feminist critique’s oppositional code or the negotiated code that represents a blend of the former two positions.

This dissertation provides the first in-depth examination of American artist Stuart Davis’s early theoretical writings made between 1918 and 1923. These writings are seminal documents in his artistic development. They lay the foundation for the creation of some of his most important works, inlcuding his groundbreaking Tobacco paintings of 1921 to his renowned Egg Beater series of 1927–1928, which Davis claimed set the direction for all his subsequent artistic output. One of the key ideas in these early writings is Davis’s concept of realism. This study traces the origin of Davis’s realism to his interaction with a network of ideas arising from cubism, symbolism, New York dada, and anarchist philosophy. In doing so, this study considers how Davis’s notion of realism informed both the development of his style and his iconography in his works of the 1920s.

The unique coral reef at St. Lucie Reef (Stuart, FL) persists despite environmental variability from extensive freshwater discharges, summer upwelling, and thermal instability. By examining the symbiotic zooxanthellae, or Symbiodinium, that reside in corals, we can gain insight to coral physiology impacted by local stressors. Two scleractinian corals, Montastraea cavernosa and Pseudodiploria clivosa were sampled over 1.5 years, including both wet and dry seasons. Zooxanthellae were isolated and quantitatively characterized using standard measurements and molecular techniques. Both coral species varied in zooxanthellae biomass, where Pseudodiploria clivosa had Higher cell densities and chlorophyll concentrations than Montastraea cavernosa. Over time, these parameters varied, but were not significantly altered by fresh water discharge events. Symbiodinium diversity and abundance were identified by ITS2 region amplification and next-generation sequencing .Novel associations between Symbiodinium and each coral explained the observed physiological differences. According to our hypothesis, in opposition to an established interpretative tradition, Mill was responsible for significant theses, among others, in favor of the logicist efforts and anti-psychologists who marked most of the later discussions on the nature of logic. On the one hand, Mill´s criticism to the thesis according to which the significance of language terms are ideas (what he calls conceptualism), in addition to his clear view in distinguishing mental processes in the reasoning act of objective reasons involved in the inferences correction, constituted, according to our conclusions, important positive influence sources, not just to Frege´s philosophy, but to a whole philosophycal tradition that came to contemporary analytical philosophy. The work is divided in three chapters. In the first chapter, important elements of Mill´s logic and semantics are presented, such as: the definition of logic as a proof science, the relationship between logic and language, theory of connotation and some propositions. The second chapter deals with Mill´s criticism of the psychological semantic model represented by, among others, Locke. The third chapter aims to the question whether, from the point of view of Fregean logicism, Mill can be considered a psychologist / Este trabalho apresenta a lógica e a semântica de John Stuart Mill relacionando-as, por um lado, à tradição psicológio-nominalista representada pela teoria das idéias de John Locke e, por outro, aos desdobramentos das discussões lógico-semânticas do século XIX, sobretudo a partir da filosofia de Frege. De acordo com nossa hipótese, ao contrário do que toda uma tradição interpretativa estabeleceu, Mill, como que por detrás de algumas posturas ultrapassadas, foi responsável por teses significativas, entre outras coisas, em favor dos esforços logicistas e antipsicologistas que marcaram boa parte das discussões posteriores acerca da natureza da lógica. A crítica que Mill realiza à tese segundo a qual o significados dos termos da linguagem são idéias (o que ele chama de conceitualismo), aliada à sua clareza em distinguir processos mentais envolvidos no ato do raciocínio, das razões objetivas envolvidas na correção das inferências, constituíram, de acordo com nossas conclusões, importantes fontes de influência positiva, não só para a filosofia de Frege, mas para toda uma tradição filosófica que veio a desembocar na filosofia analítica contemporânea. An ecological study was undertaken on four populations of Krefft�s River Turtle Emydura krefftii inhabiting the Townsville Area of Tropical North Queensland. Two sites were located in the Ross River, which runs through the urban areas of Townsville, and two sites were in rural areas at Alligator Creek and Stuart Creek (known as the Townsville Creeks). Earlier studies of the populations in Ross River had determined that the turtles existed at an exceptionally high density, that is, they were superabundant, and so the Townsville Creek sites were chosen as low abundance sites for comparison. The first aim of this study was to determine if there had been any demographic consequences caused by the abundance of turtle populations of the Ross River. Secondly, the project aimed to determine if the impoundments in the Ross River had affected the freshwater turtle fauna. Specifically this study aimed to determine if there were any difference between the growth, size at maturity, sexual dimorphism, size distribution, and diet of Emydura krefftii inhabiting two very different populations. A mark-recapture program estimated the turtle population sizes at between 490 and 5350 turtles per hectare. Most populations exhibited a predominant female sex-bias over the sampling period. Growth rates were rapid in juveniles but slowed once sexual maturity was attained; in males, growth basically stopped at maturity, but in females, growth continued post-maturity, although at a slower rate. Sexual maturity was at 6-7 years of age for males, which corresponded to a carapace length of 150-160 mm, and 8-10 years of age for females, which corresponded to a carapace length of 185-240 mm. The turtles were omnivorous, although in the Ross River they ate more submerged vegetation (by percent amount and occurrence) than those of the Townsville Creeks. Turtles in Townsville Creeks ingested more windfall fruit and terrestrial insects.

In this book, Tan manages four pairs of Chinese American mothers and daughters to demonstrate their conflicts in both generation gaps and cultural identities. In the searching of cultural identities, we see resistance, negotiation and ultimately the communication between the mothers and the daughters. This book successfully portraits the becoming process of the in-between cultural identities of the Chinese Americans. This thesis is divided into five parts: Introduction, three chapters, and Conclusion. Three chapters discuss the development of the characters via the themes of self-construction, language application, and the arrangement of time and space not only to abolish monolithic American cultural identity but also to motivate an equal valuation for Chinese identity. By exploring these themes in the life of the Chinese Americans in The Joy Luck Club, I would like to inspire a border perspective for Chinese Americans to reach their cultural identities.
