By conducting a qualitative case study on a prominent Swedish government agency, the study explores the viewpoints of five workers on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and offers a number of key variables for efficient AI implementation in the Swedish public sector. The goal of this study is to contribute to the literature on AI application in the public sector. This is especially crucial in considering the technology's rapid advancement, which has the ability to dramatically increase the efficiency of organizational operations. However, this progress is not without risk, as highlighted by some significant challenges; a lack of autonomy and worries of making incorrect decisions. As a result, our research discusses how the public sector could encourage efficient AI implementation. The research results demonstrate the need of educating personnel about thetechnology and addressing the perception of existing rules as challenges to the implementation of AI in the Swedish public sector.

Unmanned Stores In Sweden : A Quantitative Study On Enhancers And Inhibitors According To The Swedish Generation ZAndersson, Pontus, Oscar, Johansson January 2023 (has links)
Introduction: Since the start of the digital age back in the 70s, digital technology has become a main tool for us humans to work, communicate, and enjoy ourselves on a day-to-day basis. The major push that set this new chapter of human life was due to the first military-manufactured computers of the time. The usage and development since then have grown exponentially all across our lives, affecting everything from hospital visits in Hong Kong to a late-night shopping experience in Stockholm. This leads us to today, where businesses are taking technological advances every day to keep their customers happy and satisfied, but also setting the bar higher and higher between their competitors. Some store owners have even figured out that physical human presence is not even needed in physical stores. The benefit is that the upkeep costs drop and almost no employees are needed; this is beneficial for small store locations in sparsely populated areas. In Sweden, it has become a huge problem that small towns and villages slowly die due to high upkeep costs for store owners. With these unmanned stores, the trend could change to the possessive. However, it is also pressured by the very technology-demanding Generation Z. Setting pressure on this retail sector to keep up and find the right way to proceed with their businesses in a way that fits Generation Z’s demand long term. Purpose: This specific study will try to explain how different enhancers and inhibitors affect consumer acceptance according to Generation Z for this store concept in Sweden. The researchers of this thesis believe that this study is needed because of the vast growth of unmanned stores and the lack of research it has, especially in Scandinavia. Methodology: In order to answer the research question, nine different hypotheses were created with different inhibitors and enhancers derived from previous research. Furthermore, a combination of online and face-to-face questionnaires was conducted, whereby 133 valid respondents were collected. The data was then analyzed with the help of a multiple regression analysis. Conclusion: From this research, it can be concluded that for the investigated enhancers: high levels of technology readiness, usefulness, and enjoyment were all factors affecting Gen Z´s acceptance of unmanned convenience stores. Furthermore, that lack of human interaction affects Gen Z´s resistance towards unmanned convenience stores. These results can be used for future research and for companies targeting Gen Z to shop at unmanned convenience stores.

Health management’s perspective on eHealth and user adoption : Determinants for technology usePersson, Tobias January 2022 (has links)
Digital interventions in healthcare have the potential to act as a positive approach to the demographical and social dilemmas existing in sparsely populated regions. Much emphasis lies on designing implementations that are beneficial and used to a large extent. The impact of responsible stakeholders in designing and implementing those interventions is vital to successful outcomes, but research about their perspective on the topic is lacking. The role of voluntariness in eHealth is unclear, and management’s view on determining factors that impact user adoption can contribute to the Information Systems literature. This study aimed to investigate healthcare management’s perspective regarding eHealth. A qualitative study was performed by conducting semi-structured interviews with management and decision-makers in Swedish healthcare on the regional and municipal levels. Their attitude towards the digitalization of healthcare is generally positive, and its benefits for the future are evident. Digitalizing the health sector is seen as necessary as long as equal care and high quality in healthcare can be maintained. Much work lies in increasing adherence to use eHealth solutions, and there is a desire to improve national coordination. Factors that influence adoption are generally compatible with existing technology acceptance literature, but the impact of some determinants differs. The results indicate that social influence has a more important impact in the voluntary context of eHealth than previous literature suggests. An introduction of mandatory elements in healthcare may have benefits for continuous use. Future research about the differences between voluntary and mandated contexts can give rich insight into how to view factors that affect technology adoption and adherence to eHealth solutions.

Acceptans och Användning av ChatGPT inom Akademisk Utbildning : En kvantitativ studie / Acceptance and Use of ChatGPT within Academic Education : A Quantitative Study Based on the UTAUT ModelCreutz, Annica, Fridholm Lilja, Holger January 2023 (has links)
The new tool ChatGPT risks colliding with academic integrity and changing traditional forms of education because the chatbot can write credible essays on command. Therefore, examining the acceptance and use of ChatGPT among undergraduates and graduate students is of great interest in order to understand the future of technology in academic education. The main purpose of this study was to investigate, based on the UTAUT model, students' and doctoral students' attitude, behavioral intention and use related to ChatGPT and chatbots in academic education. The questionnaire was answered by a total of 38 students (29 women, 9 men) and 29 PhD students (14 women, 14 men, 1 preferred not to state) aged between 18-45+. The results showed low frequency of use, little habit and low behavioral intention to use the technology. Factors influencing intention to use were mainly expected benefits of ChatGPT. Influencing factors for Use Behavior were mainly behavioral intention and experience. Both concerns (eg, plagiarism, poorer critical and creative thinking) and positive aspects (eg, inspiration, improved writing) of potential use were addressed. Many PhD students felt that ChatGPT today does not meet the requirements for higher studies. However, the majority predicted that ChatGPT will become an inevitable part of society's digitization and that chatbots will evolve, become more useful and therefore take a greater place in academic education in the future. It is important that universities are aware of ChatGPT usage in order to adapt ways of learning as well as existing regulations regarding cheating.

A study of users' mental models and technology acceptanceDavidsson, Axel January 2023 (has links)

An Investigation Of Boaters' Attitudes Toward And Usage Of Targeted Mobile AppsBowerman, Kamra 01 January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to understand boaters’ adoption and usage of smartphones and mobile apps as well as to obtain their opinion on potential features of a targeted mobile app being developed as part of a broader interdisciplinary Florida Sea Grant outreach project. Data were gathered from an online survey of a sample of 164 boaters from the surrounding Central Florida area. In contrast with previous empirical mobile app studies, many respondents reported using mobile apps for information-seeking versus escape gratifications. Further more than half of the respondents’ age sixty-five and over indicated using smartphones and mobile apps. These findings reflected recent national trend data showing shifting gratifications and an increase in technology use among older American adults. In regards to the planned mobile app, the study’s respondents had favorable reactions to its potential features and indicated an above average intent toward downloading the app

Investigating the Barriers Small Independent Retailers Must Overcome to Enter E-commerce in SwedenHottentot, Lars January 2017 (has links)
In today’s society, it is increasingly important for retailers to have an online presence, yet the adoption rate of e-commerce by small retailers is still lagging behind the that of larger retailers. This is due to the difficulty small retailers have to overcome the barriers to develop their web-shops, such as cost and time. This thesis will examine the barriers of single-store independent retail businesses to sell and market their goods online. It will use the Technology Acceptance Model framework developed by Davis (1986) to help understand how the barriers affect the retailers attitude towards the process of developing their web-shops. Specifically, it will ask the retailers, through interviews, what barriers exist, what their perception of difficulty to overcome these barriers is, and what their perception of importance to overcome these barriers is. The major findings show that the barriers for retailers have not changed in the past decade, nor has the difficulty level of overcoming these barriers. The majority of small retailers who have not yet developed their web-shops don’t feel that the effort to do so is worth the potential gains, yet the small retailers who have already developed their web-shops did feel it was worth the effort. The retailers all felt that the process was more difficult than it should be, and insisted they would make the leap if the cost and effort required was reduced.
