Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Tecnologia, Sa?de e Sociedade, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2018. / This study proposes na implementation and analysis of Scrum Framework in the development of new functionalities to ?Nosso Exerc?cio? (Our Exercise) website. This web application consists in one of the Tutorial Education Program Projects, PET-UFVJM/Mucuri Campus, located in Te?filo Otoni city, Minas Gerais state and it has as its objective the open share of teaching exercises of several knowledge areas. At the request of its creators, new functionalities were demanded to ?Nosso Exerc?cio? (Our Exercise), however, there were not clear goals for this project nor a work plan to be followed, the requirements were not formalised and the available team was not mature enough on the tecnologies applied. Considering the challenge faced on the generation of a good quality software and the time limit available for taking this research, the use of a software engineering was proposed aiming to get bigger quality control of the final Product to be developed. The agile method Scrum was the one chosen to manage the developing activities to this software. So, the general goal of this research consisted in searching for an answer to the following question-problem: Which benefits and/or difficulties can be obtained through the apllication of Scrum Framework on the evolution of the development of ?Nosso Exerc?cio? open plataforma? According to the model suggested by Coughlan and Coghlan (2002), the research-action method was used to describe a dinamic conducted during this work. The Scrum implantation on ?Nosso Exerc?cio? occurred in two stages, the first one, aimed to do a training about Scrum and the technological tools used in the development of ?Nosso Exerc?cio?. The second one, dealt with the development of functionalities to this website. The analyses of the results showed many benefits gotten with the implatation of Scrum in this project, like focus and commitment of ?Time? during its work, the attendance to the costumer?s real needs (Product Owner), the framework flexibility in adjusting to environment and work conditions of each ?Time? created, the continuous learning of the software and of the process resulting of the discussions taken on planning, reviewing and retrospecto meetings. The critical work point was about the immaturity with the technologies used for the website development. The learned lessons with this research indicate that it?s possible to get benefits with the implantation of Scrum Framework which overcome the difficulties, as long as the needed analysis of the enviroment where it was adopted be done.

In this context, the use of Virtual Learning Environments - software designed to support the courses via the Internet - is growing and access becoming increasingly diverse, ranging from desktop computers to mobile smartphones. Thus, the complexity of creating these environments becomes increasingly technical and requires Software Engineering and Project Management always better to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction generated. Given such a scenario, this paper proposes the use of Agile methodologies in the development and project management of virtual environments as a more interesting way than traditional software delivery based only on product quality, forgetting often , customer satisfaction and motivation of developers. This paper reports the adoption of agile methodologies in the development of the SOLAR AVA 2.0, showing that it is possible to succeed in both the technical level and at the organizational and personally with the adoption of agile practices in the development of AVAs that can be proven through experiments done with the satisfaction surveys with users and project developers.

Wallman, Daniel, Sandström, Viktor January 2018 (has links)
Pair programming (PP) is a method for software development where two individuals share one computer and work side by side. This essay examines PP with regards to its effects and success factors. The essay also investigates how participants should communicate to achieve successful PP. The theoretical framework consists of previous research on PP and psychological theory on communication. This is examined with a qualitative method with material from five group interviews. The selected respondents come from software development companies that actively use agile methods and PP. The analysis concludes that several effects, success factors and guidelines from previous research are confirmed while some new are discovered. The discoveries include that there exists a disagreement about the effect on development time, that good communication is central for PP and that self- organizing teams are key for PP. Furthermore is a discussion by the authors on the contemporary use of PP.

: a study of the interactions betweenstructure, culture, agility and psychosocial work environment

Norrman, Emilia January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to broaden the knowledge about organizational change towards an agile organization through exploring how the faktors; structure, culture, agility och psychosocial work environment interacts during this process and how the relationship manifests in practice. To achieve the purpose, the fowling questions guided the way: • In what ways can older organizational structures and organizational culture affect agile organizational change? • What effects on the psychosocial workplace environment may an organizational change towards agile organization generate. This qualitative study with deductive approach was based on an organization where the implementation of the agile form was conducted three years ago. The collection of data was based on three semi-structured interviews with representatives from HR, the union and the research team witch also has conducted a study of the organization. Content analysis was use as a method of preparing the data for the analysis, which was done so though a model based on the theoretical  starting points and previous research that have founded this study. The conclusions drawn by this study shows that parts of the organizations older structure an culture still are present inte the new organization and that they inhibited the anchoring of the new approach and way of working . The same situation applies to the opportunity of improved psychosocial work environment where the dominance of the older organizational form resulted in the opportunities remaining just that - in the areas of the organization where it wasn’t impaired.

Project Management (PM) has gained a major role in the viability of the strategic objectives of organizations. The development of products and services has been under stronger market pressure, requesting frequent releases and in ever-shorter periods. To meet these new requirements, initiatives for maintaining PM as an information provider to make decisions in multiple and complex projects, exposed to relevant uncertainty and volatility, should be sought. Regarding the opportunities for improvement of PM practices to deal with this unstable and ambiguous environment, the objective of this work is to propose, using the Grounded Theory (GT) method, a framework that prescribes how to apply two GP methods in combination: the Critical Chain Project Management - CCPM and Scrum. The results of this work indicate that the integration of these methodologies can enhance the benefits and mitigate the weaknesses of each of them in particular. This hybrid model could permit a better articulation and coordination of the project tasks, allowing effective decisions in multiple project environments affected by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA).

Magnusson, William, Grönlund, Lucas January 2017 (has links)

Samarbete i agila systemutvecklingsprojekt : Vilka mänskliga faktorer påverkar samarbetets effektivitet? / Cooperation in agile system development projects : - What human factors affects the cooperation effectiveness?

Holmstedt, Malena January 2016 (has links)
Human factors influence how people interact and communicate with each other. Agile system development work consists of relationships, interaction and cooperation between people. These aspects impact the system development project´s results. However, often in system development there is more focus on the technology itself than on the social aspects, where human factors appear to be a decisive factor, in many cases for the project's end result. The purpose of this study is to describe what human factors that can lead to more efficient cooperation in agile software development projects, and to describe how agile system development looks like at Trafikverket. Trafikverket wished this study to be implemented as the study’s results may help to reduce the number of less successful systems development projects at Trafikverket. The main research question in this work is: What human factors are important to make cooperation between customers and developers of agile software development projects more efficient? A case study was conducted at Trafikverket. Data collected from seven semi-structured interviews followed up by questionnaires and document studies was used for the analysis. Conclusion’s suggests that in order to make cooperation between customers and developers in agile system development projects at Trafikverket more efficient five human factors as communication, trust , leadership, knowledge and motivation should be focused.
