The A?u Dam is an important geotechnical built in Rio Grande do Norte and in Northeast Brazilian, especially because of its size and complexity. In addition to its size and importance, it has gained prominence in the national and international literature because of the collapse in upstream slope in the end of construction period. This paper aimed to analyze its behavior in stages of dam construction, first filling and operation of the reservoir. In each step, were analyzed: the stress-strain behavior, the flow and the pore-pressure variation, and the slope stability. These analyses were performed with the software Sigma/W, Seep/W and Slope/W, which are components in a suite of geotechnical products called GeoStudio, produced by Geo-Slope International Ltd. The results were compared with the instrumentation dates available in Rocha (2003). In the comparative analysis of vertical displacements, the largest difference between modeling results and instrumentation data was 8.9 cm, in the T7 extensometer, at the end of the first filling. In the stability analysis, the lowest safety factor was 1.3 for the upstream slope in the reservoir operation phase, but the media of the safety factors obtained by the methods based on limit equilibrium was 2.4. For a downstream slope, this factor was equal to 1.6 in all stages. These results confirm the dam stable condition. In pore-pressure analysis, the pneumatic piezometers presented greater divergences between modeling and instrumentation than those of the Casagrande type. The most significant difference was 46% (23 kPa), in the PZP1 piezometer, at the first filling of the reservoir. However, considering the differences obtained by other authors who also studied the water flow in this dam, we conclude that the results of the present analysis are satisfactory and that the adopted parameters are adequate to characterize the soils modeled.

Marcos Gomes da Costa 10 June 2013 (has links)
This dissertation analyses the questions regarding provisional and interim measures previously or during an arbitration proceeding (including the means they can be pleaded, analyzed and enforced), as well as the interaction between the arbitrators, the Judiciary Power and also with the Court of Arbitration responsible for the conduction of the arbitration proceeding (in the case of institutional arbitration). The study brings a brief analysis of the history of arbitration and about its legal nature, with a specific focus on provisional and interim measures, also analyzing the regulations of the main Courts of Arbitration from Brazil and from abroad, as well as the Brazilian and foreign legislation about provisional and interim measures in arbitration. The main topics analyzed are referred to: (i) provisional and interim measures previously to the beginning of the arbitration (when the parties have already committed themselves, through arbitration clause or arbitration agreement, to resolve any conflict through arbitration); (ii) provisional and interim measures during an arbitration proceeding; (iii) the enforcement of provisional and interim measures, which requires the use of force (coercive power) and, therefore, depends on the assistance and the support of the Judiciary Power; (iv) the enforcement of provisional and interim measures rendered on foreign arbitrations; and (v) the anti-suit injunctions.

Algebraická teorie S-boxů / Algebraická teorie S-boxů

Ďuránová, Elena January 2011 (has links)
The thesis focuses on an algebraic description of S-boxes by the special type of quadratic equations, defined as biaffine equations. Biaffine equations satisfying S-boxes of higher order may not even exist. However, the special type of S-boxes en- ables to find such equations also for S-boxes of higher order. The S-box in the block cipher Rijndael, composed of the inverse function and the affine transformation, is an example of such special type of S-boxes. The thesis proves that a number of biaffine equations satisfying an S-box of this type does not depend on the affine function. The thesis also proves that for every S-box of order n formed by the in- verse function there exist at least 3n − 1 biaffine equations satisfying this S-box. 1

Smlouva o výkonu funkce / Agreement on the performance of an office

Heinzel, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse certain aspects of the agreement on the performance of an office, a legal instrument with a long history in the Czech legal system. The foregoing type of agreement is regulated by the relevant provisions of the Act on Business Corporations (hereinafter the "ABC"). The paper focuses on the general definition of the agreement on the performance of an office, the subsidiary application of provisions relating to contract of mandate, as well as matters concerning the remuneration stemming from such agreements. The thesis is composed of an introduction, a main part comprising three chapters, and a conclusion. The individual topics make up chapters which are then divided into sub-chapters (the more extensive of which are further split into sections for the purposes of conciseness). The main conclusions of each chapter are summarised in a partial summary at the end of each chapter. The conclusion summarises all partial summaries and conclusions drawn from the thesis as a whole. The first chapter is introductory and defines the agreement on the performance of an office as a contract regulating the rights and obligations of a business corporation and a member of its body vis-à-vis each other. The terms of this type of agreement, the conclusion of which is not...

MuRF3 binds to the retromer subunit SNX5 inhibiting its MuRF2-mediated degradation and leading to its stabilization

Hamati, Jida 17 October 2016 (has links)
Muscle specific RING-Finger ubiquitin E3 ligases MuRF1, MuRF2 and MuRF3 have been implicated in several cellular functions. MuRF1 and MuRF3 have been shown to bind and degrade muscle contractile and structural proteins via the ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS), thus playing an important role in the maintenance of skeletal and cardiac muscle structure and function. MuRF1 is considered an atrophy marker since its expression increases during muscle atrophy. MuRF2 and MuRF3 are involved in myocyte differentiation and both bind to and stabilize microtubules. Nevertheless, many aspects of the functions of the MuRF-family are unknown. The domain structure of the MuRF family implicates several highly conserved domains involved in protein-protein interaction. Accordingly, one way to better understand the role of MuRF proteins in myocyte function and protein homeostasis is to identify and characterize their interactome. Therefore, quantitative mass spectrometric analysis was used to identify novel interaction partners and target proteins of MuRF1, 2 and 3. Sorting nexin 5 (SNX5), a mammalian retromer subunit which plays an important role in subcellular trafficking pathways, was identified as a novel interaction partner of MuRF3, with which it interacted via its Bin/Amphiphysin/Rvs (BAR)-domain. SNX5 and MuRF3 co-localized and associated with early endosomes, connecting the microtubule-binding MuRF3 to structures of subcellular trafficking pathway. SNX5 was also identified as a substrate of MuRF2, which interacted with and ubiquitinated SNX5 in vivo, mediating its degradation in a UPS-dependent manner. This MuRF2-mediated degradation was inhibited by MuRF3, which stabilized SNX5. Thus, MuRF2 and MuRF3 were linked to a subcellular trafficking protein, SNX5, which is directly associated with microtubules and functionally dependent on a stable microtubule network, suggesting a possible regulatory role of MuRF2 and MuRF3 in microtubule-dependent subcellular trafficking pathways.

Some Al-Cu-Fe family alloys presents quasicrystalline phases when have rapidly solidification. In order to obtain this alloy, ingots of the Al65Cu35-xFex family were casted with x=6 (atomic), initially in a standard mold with solidification equilibrium. To provide samples with different cooling rates, the alloy was cast in a stepped mold, containing six different steps, resulting in samples out of equilibrium state (rapidly solidification). For the analysis of the cooling curves, the CACC-TA technique was used, with cooling rates varying from170 to 540?C / s, which were obtained by dT/dt. Analyzes by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dispersive energy spectrometry (EDS), show microstructure with faceted dendrites, lamellar interdendritic formations and pentagonal precipitates (IQC). After all, he is the sick ne, the patient, the reason of the process development that culminates in the surgery for function substitution. However, the donor is a complicated and fundamental part on the procedure, so that in the contrary of the other part, is an healthy subject that becomes a patient. Accepts mutilation, after emphatic identification with the one whose life quality is modified by a dysfunction. Various researchers have been studying the psychological, social and ethical implications involving kidney donors (BURROUGHS et al., 2003; STERNER et al., 2006; NEUHAUS et al., 2005). The donor subject that offers a body part for transplant will be bequeathing an invaluable gift and who receives the organ accepts it. To give and receive a present of that value may be the most important in this story filled with meanings of the human organ transplant. This extraordinary present, on the other hand, is not and private transaction between donor and receptor. On the contrary, happens inside a complex personal relationship network, wich is extended to families, doctors and all the other members of the health team that are involved in the operation. Inside the relationship network, a complex exchange happens, in which considerably more than an organ is transferred. (FOX & SWAZEY, 1978). OBJECTIVES: To know the donor subject profile and hos perception after the kidney donation in kidney transplantation. METHODOLOGY: The study proposed was observational, explanatory and transverse. The data were analyzed both in qualitative and quantitative ways. The subjects were called to enter the study, submmited toclinical and psychological evaluation (application of SF-36, Beck?s Depression Scale, and structured interview). The studied sample consisted of 47 individuals. The average pos-donation time of the evaluated subjects was 4 [1 ? 8] min 0 29 max. RESULTS: The main relationship between donor and receptor was maternal, being the characteristics in that case: woman, about 45 years old, overweighed, consanguineous to the receptor, with incomplete fundamental scholarship, living with companion and children. Clinically, after tga donation, the donors presented, mostly, overweight (IMC 27,6), blood pressure between the normal limits (123 ? 18,1/78,5 ? 10 mmHg), protein?ria in urine sample of 6 mg [5 mg; 8 mg], 131,55? 70,58 of creatinina in urine sample and 1,28 (1,28? 0,27) of creatinina s?rica. The transplant surgery was 74,5% realized by Videolaparoscopia and 25,5% by open surgery. The quality of life, evaluated by the SF 36, presented a variation of 59,2 ? 24,9 (Vitality) to 79,4 ? 24,3 (Functional Capability). The depression can be classified in the following way: 33 (70,21%) with minimal depression, 6 (12,70%) with low depression, 5 (10,63%) with moderated depression and 3 (6,30%) with severe depression. About the parental factor, 11 donors were not-related and 36 were related. In their majority, 41 (87,3%) the donors keep contact with the receptors, 28 (59,6%) referred that the relationship has not changed after the donation, 24 (51,1%) referred that had some kind of emotional limitation, 11 (23,4%) referred that the pain they felt was the most negative factor of the donation, 40 (85,1%) said that seeing the receptor well was the most positive aspect, 5 (10,6%) felt pressure to donate, 4 (8,5%) regretted on donating. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that it was possible to know the donors profile and their perception after the kidney donation and kidney transplantation.
