Fem stycken specifika händelser under perioden har valts ut och utgör de tidsperioder varifrån underlaget till studien hämtats. Studien börjar med att ge en bakgrundsbeskrivning och därefter förflyttas fokus till vad de två grupperna förmedlade för ståndpunkter. Studien visar på en komplicerad bild där Göteborgs Stifts-Tidning var klart positiva till nationalsocialismen på det politiska planet, medan man var kritiskt till dess inblandning i den tyska kyrkostriden. Däremot hade man inte samma inställning då det gällde den norska kyrkostriden. Kyrka och Folk gick från att vara allmänt politiskt positiv till negativ. Helst ville man dock inte ens befatta sig det politiska området, i sann luthersk anda. Då det gäller inställning till judarna kan man säga att de båda sade sig vara icke biologiskt antisemitiska. Däremot hade de bägge två en syn på judarna som var religiöst antisemitisk.</p>

It has become more important for companies to communicate in order to gain competitive advantage. Gothenburg Culturefestival has a large number of visitors and since last year they have noticed that there are not as many visitors from some multicultual areas in Gothenburg. This makes it interesting to see what kind of problems that exists in the current communication.   Problem statement: What noise is there in communicating to a multicultural target group and how does they affect the goals and the result with the communication? Purpose: The purpose of this paper is based on the communicationmodel and from there describe the communication between companies and multicultural areas, and from this identify problems with such communication. Method: 118 respondents were selected through a convenience sample and then  asked questions through structured interviews based on a questionnaire. The questionnaire contained 15 questions concerning Gothenburg Culture Festival and their communication. The interviews were conducted in four multicultural areas in Gothenburg and the respondents consisted of many different nationalities.   Conclusions: There are many noises in communucating with a multicultural target group. They come from both the sender, the reciever, but it also lies in the message itself. Different noises are culture, attitudes, interest, language, the way the message is sent but also what the message is communicating. These noises are later affecting the goals and the results with the communication negatively. In our case the noises where difficulties with the language but also negative attitudes about the event. All of these noises is to be observed in the work of communicating with a multicultural target group.   Suggestion of further research: Out of the problems identified in this thesis, a study with a bigger population can be made, but also with more areas around Gothenburg. A study concerning only the people who have not visited Gothenburg Culturefestival can also be made in order to specify their wants and see if there is a pattern why they do not visit the event. A study between different areas in Gothenburg with different amount of visitors can be made to see if there is any cultural differences between the different areas.

By examining newspaper articles from two different timeperiods in a public library’s life, specifically the main citylibrary of Gothenburg 1964-68 and 2004-2015, thismaster’s thesis studies the discourse of library practice aswell as its societal role during the building and re-buildingof the library. The empirical material is examined byapplying the discourse theory and method of ErnestoLaclau and Chantal Mouffe. With this methodology wealso aim to analyze how the power is distributed betweenthe different roles that emerge depending on in what waythey speak about or is being spoken of in the material.In the analysis of the material, we have identified severalmore or less dominant discourses that construct certain,and often contradictory, views on the city library’s practiceand role in society. The major discourses that emergedin the material during the 1960’s were the book discourseand the cultural centre discourse. The book discoursepromotes traditional and authoritarian views of themediation and conservation of printed, quality books aswell as being associated with strong ideals of enlightenmentand education. The culture centre discoursepromotes a wide library practice, entailing many differentcultural and political activities as well as a wide range ofpeople. The book discourse can be seen all the waythrough the 2000’s, but the later period is dominated bythe information mediation discourse that places the userand its needs at the core of the library’s mission.

Vår grundläggande forskningsfråga är om miljöproblemens centrala betydelse i samhället återspeglas i att de också får ökat genomslag i journalistiken. För att få ett hanterbart svar på frågan har vi gjort en jämförande studie av miljöjournalistiken i två ledande svenska dagstidningar, Dagens Nyheter och Göteborgs-Posten. Vi har undersökt innehållet i de båda tidningarna under en vecka vart tionde år från 1952 till 2012. Under dessa veckor har vi analyserat alla artiklar som handlat om miljöfrågor. Vi har använt materialet från den kvantitativa studien för att kunna se eventuella skillnader och likheter i tidningarnas miljörapportering. Vi har även genomfört en kompletterande kvalitativ delstudie där fyra miljöreportrar, två från vardera tidning, har intervjuats. Samtliga intervjuade är eller har varit aktiva miljöreportrar under en längre period. Utifrån det insamlade materialet har vi kommit fram till att miljöfrågorna har fått ökad betydelse och ökat utrymme i DN och G-P sedan 1952. I och med att kunskapen om miljö blev större runt 1960-talet fick även miljöfrågor större utrymme i de båda tidningarna. Därefter har miljöfrågornas utrymme i tidningarna stadigt ökat i takt med miljödebattens framväxt. Däremot visar både den kvantitativa studien, med stöd av den kvalitativa, att miljöfrågorna dock har fått mindre utrymme i DN och G-P under det senaste årtiondet. Anledningen till minskningen är inte att kunskapen om miljöfrågor inte finns utan beror enligt intervjupersonerna på andra faktorer.  Dels minskat intresse från redaktionsledningen men också på grund av nedskärningar och omorganiseringar på tidningarna. Ett annat intressant resultat är att tre av de fyra intervjuade menar att det krävs en allvarlig katastrof för att miljöjournalistiken åter ska få mer fokus. Vår undersökning visar också att miljörapporteringen generellt sett varit större i G-P än i DN vid de undersökta veckorna.

The institutional identity of libraries have been the subject of discussion for quite some time in the library community. With the renovation of several city libraries comes the opportunity to investigate the impact of this discussion on the practices of real public libraries. This Bachelor thesis investigates the program guide of Göteborg city library since its reopening in 2014 with the goal of extracting some sort of library identity. The thesis uses a discourse analytical approach to investigate the various types of discourse present in the material to extract an identity. The most prominent discourses present in the material are the educational discourse and the discourse of cultivation where the discourse of cultivation is the most dominant one. The discourse of cultivation motivates its activities through recreational aspects while the discourse of education motivates its activities by highlighting the use-value of attending its activities. The study finds that Göteborg city library presents itself as a cultural institution that ―sells‖ the service of cultivation, this is, however, not without problems and occasionally clashes with either the missions given to the library or the perceptions of the public.

År 2021 fyller Göteborg 400 år och det lockar många byggare att bli klara jubileumsåret till ära, inte minst väntas ca 30 000 nya bostäder. Frågan är var medborgarna kommer in i denna planeringsprocess och vad det finns för strukturella möjligheter för dialog där medborgare får säga sitt. Det uppsatsen syftar på är att belysa hur planeringsprocessen ser ut inom byggnation, och vilka möjligheter som ges till medborgardialog. Uppsatsen går igenom planeringsprocessens olika delar, från idé till spadtag, och vilka aktörer som kan tänkas vara med i denna process. När det kommer till medborgardialog står principer och policys i fokus, men går också igenom vilka resurser och utbildningsbehov som finns för dialogarbeten. Med utgångspunkt i en offentlighetsteori av Jürgen Habermas granskas litterärt material från flertalet kommunala källor, bl.a. Göteborgs Stad, Boverket och Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting. Komplement till detta är 3 intervjuer, dessa om medborgardialog, samarbete mellan olika kompetenser och förhållningsregler inom arbetet. / During the year of 2021 the city of Gothenburg turns 400 years and it attracts many contractors to finish then in honor of the anniversary, not at least to be expected is 30,000 new homes. The question is where the citizens come into the planning procedure.  This bachelor’s thesis aim is to explore what the planning process looks like during construction and what the structural possibilities are for public dialog. The thesis goes through the different parts of the planning procedure, from concept to groundbreaking, and who that might be a part of this process. When it comes to public dialog the focus is on principals and policies, but also goes through what the needs are for education and current resources around working with dialog.  Based on Jürgen Habermas theory on the Public sphere literary materials are examined, mostly from municipal sources, including City of Gothenburg, National Board of Housing and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. The aim of this paper is to investigate who the visitors are at a children&apos;s department at amain library in a larger municipality, and for what purpose they use it. We discuss: Is therea difference between various user groups, and if so, how do they differ&apos;? Which library rolesdoes the children&apos;s department have? Does the children&apos;s department serve as a local libraryfor those who live in the immediate surroundings or as a main library for the whole municipality?The paper is based on a user survey performed in the spring of 1996 at the City Library ofGothenburg. 417 visitors and five staff members were interviewed.The children&apos;s department is used by various groups of people, from young children to seniorcitizens. The library roles are, among other things, an independent learning center and formaleducation support center. The children&apos;s department functions both as a local library anda main library.
