Oskarsson, Jessica, Markén, Matilda January 2023 (has links)
This study aims to investigate how companies perceived as sustainable by consumers engage in sustainability communication on social media. An abundance of information is common in today's digitized society - how do you as a company push through the noise - especially, with a serious message that does not belong on social media? The basis for determining which companies succeed in their sustainability communication is based on the Sustainable Brand Index Report from 2022. The selection and criteria resulted in three companies from three different industries for our analysis: Naturkompaniet, Systembolaget and MAX Burgers. We have reviewed all companies' Instagram and after the selection, 5 Instagram posts from each company are analyzed. The analysis is based on theories about sustainable communication, emotions and cognitive load on the part of the recipient. Models that are explained and intended to be the basis for results and analysis are the Affect–reason–involvement model (ARI model) and the Communication via Syncretic and Analytic Cognition Scale (CASC scale) as well as the Limited Capacity Model of Motivated Mediated Message Processing (LC4MP). To answer the research question "How do Systembolaget, Naturkompaniet and MAX Burgers present their sustainability communication on Instagram?" and the sub-question "How do Systembolaget, Naturkompaniet and MAX Burgers use emotional aspects and how do they take into account the recipients' cognitive load in their sustainability communication on Instagram?" in relation to the theories, we use a thematic content analysis. The analysis resulted in four overarching themes found: Behavior Change, Memorable, Encouraging and Serious Undertone. The conclusion is that companies that carry out successful sustainability communication present their messages in a simple way which is easy to understand, often with humorous elements and relatable factors.

Developing a Rubric-Based Digital Formative Assessment Tool for Written Translanguaging Development with a Timesaving Approach / Utveckling av ett rubrikbaserat digitalt formativt bedömningsverktyg för skriftlig transspråkande-utveckling med ett tidsbesparande tillvägagångssät

Ahlström, Natasha January 2024 (has links)
Teachers have demanding jobs in often stressful, high-paced work environments with heavy workloads. This has been shown to have negative consequences on health and job retention. This study aimed to ease the burden teachers experience in at least one area of their jobs – formative assessments. This was done by developing a timesaving design framework based on the insights gained from language teachers’ formative assessment practices which center on translanguaging, or strategic principles for using multilingualism in teaching. The framework, grounded in researched UX and UI design principles that reduce cognitive load, was used to create a rubric-based digital formative assessment (DFA) translanguaging tool prototype that was then tested for its impact on teacher workload. The results indicated that the developed DFA tool had the potential to reduce teacher workload with relatively high user satisfaction. One of the most significant findings from the study was that the learnability design principle had the greatest impact on the timesaving design framework. Further findings show that the DFA tool may be most effective if used in conjunction with other more traditional formative assessment processes. This study benefits teachers who use or want to use DFA tools, but mostly developers and designers who want to create more efficient systems using timesaving design principles. This study’s contribution is a timesaving design framework, which can be used to design and build DFA tools for translanguaging learning development.

Interaktionskvalitet - hur mäts det?

Friberg, Annika January 2009 (has links)
Technical developments have led to the broadcasting of massive amounts of information, athigh velocities. We must learn to handle this flow. To maximize the benefits of newtechnologies and avoid the problems that this immense information flow brings, interactionquality should be studied. We must adjust interfaces to the user because the user does nothave the ability to adapt and sort overly large amounts of information. We must developsystems that make the human more efficient when using interfaces. To adjust the interfaces to the user needs and limitations, knowledge about humancognitive processes is required. When cognitive workload is studied it is important that aflexible, easily accessed and non assertive technique is used to get unbiased results. At thesame time reliability is of great importance. To design interfaces with high interaction quality,a technique to evaluate these is required. The aim of this paper is to establish a method that iswell suited for measurement of interaction quality. When measuring interaction quality, a combination of subjective and physiologicalmethods is recommended. This comprises a combination of Functional near-infraredspectroscopy; a physiological measurement which measures brain activity using light sourcesand detectors placed on the frontal lobe, Electrodermal activity; a physiological measurementwhich measures brain activity using electrodes placed over the scalp and NASA task loadindex; a subjective, multidimensional measurement based on card sorting and measures theindividual perceived cognitive workload on a continuum scale. Measuring with these methodscan result in an increase in interaction quality in interactive, physical and digital interfaces. An estimation of interaction quality can contribute to eliminate interaction errors, thusimproving the user’s interaction experience.
