kriminologiese introspeksie, kan die ondergemelde drie dimensies
onderskei word: Die eerste dimensie is 'n kriminologiese introspeksie
wat die betekenis wat bankrowers self aan die uitvoer van bankrooftogte
heg, behels. Hierdie leefwereld van die subjekte word deur die navorser
"betree" en mede-verken. Doelgerigtheid, morele oorwegings, teesin in
geweld, charisma, kognitiewe vermoens en 'n materialistiese ingesteldheid
is begrippe wat die bankrower as mens belig.
Die tweede dimensie word verteenwoordig deur die begrondingsteorie as
navorsingsmetode, gebaseer op die werk van Strauss en Corbin {1990), wat
toegepas word ten einde sodanige navorsingsdoelstelling te fasiliteer.
Tydens die aanvanklike fase van die ondersoek is daar met 28 bankrowers
in aanhoud i ng, gefokusde semi -gest ruktureerde ind i epte-onderhoude gevoer.
Opvolgonderhoude is met ses van die 28 subjekte gevoer, met die doel om
'n substantiewe begrondingsteorie te ontplooi, verskille op te klaar en
die geldigheid van die data te verhoog.
Die derde dimensie reflekteer vervolgens die ontplooiing van 'n
substantiewe begrondingsteorie wat weerspieel word in proposisies en wat
in vier fases van die modus operandi van die bankrower onderskei word,
naamlik die beplanning-; uitvoering-; afhandeling-; en heroorwegingsfase.
Elk van die ge'identifiseerde fases word gekenmerk deur progressiewe
beweging, natuurlike kontinu'iteit, emosionele belewenisse en 'n
individualistiese inslag. Twee kernelemente, naamlik besluitneming en
rasionaliteit staan prominent binne die kader van die modus operandi van
die bankrower.
Die substantiewe begrondingsteorie is daarop ingestel om die verskynsel
wat bestudeer word, te verklaar. Seide die oorweging van die ondersoek
asook ander doelstellings van die navorser word binne die teorie
geakkommodeer. Verdere vergelykende studies kan daartoe bydra om die
substantiewe begrondingsteorie te verfyn, te falsifiseer, 6f by gebrek
daaraan, tot 'n formele teorie uit te bou.
Derhalwe word die begrondingsteorie as navorsingsmetode nie slegs as
toepaslik beskou vir toekomstige navorsing oor onderwerpe waaroor daar
'n gebrek aan empiriese bevindinge bestaan en waaroor relatief min kennis
in kriminologiese literatuur voorkom nie, maar hou dit ook die voordeel
van 'n pluriforme navorsingstudie in. / In the investigation into the modus operandi of the bank robber: a
criminological introspection, three dimensions can be distinguished. The
first dimension is a criminological introspection comprising the meaning
attached by bank rob.bers to the execution of bank robberies. This world
of the subjects is entered and co-scouted. Sense of purpose, mora 1
considerations, aversion to violence, charisma, cognitive powers and a
materialistic disposition are conceptions that elucidate the bank robber
as a human.
The second dimension is represented by the grounded theory as research
method, based on the work of Strauss and Corbin (1990), which are applied
to facilitate such research aims. During the initial phase of the
investigation, focused, semi-structured, in-depth interviews were held
with 28 bank robbers in detention. Subsequent interviews were held with
six of the 28 subjects, aimed at expanding a substantive grounded theory,
to clear up differences and to increase the validity of the data.
The third dimension reflects the development of a substantive grounded
theory which is revealed in propositions and signalised in four phases
of the bank robber's modus operandi, namely the planning, execution,
disposal and reconsideration phases. Each of these identified phases is
characterised by progressive movement, natura 1 continuity, emot i ona 1
experiences and an individualistic infusion. The basic elements, namely
decision-making and rationalisation, are prominent in the cadre of the
bank robber's modus operandi.
The substantive grounded theory is aimed at explaining the study
phenomenon. Consideration of the investigation as well as other aims of
the researcher are accommodated in the theory. Further comparative
studies can assist in refining or falsifying the substantive grounded
theory or, failing, to expand it to a formal theory.
The grounded theory is therefore regarded as appropriate for future
research on subjects about which there is a lack of empirical findings
and relatively little knowledge in criminological literature. The theory

In this dissertation, the lives of five young people living in Norrköping follows for five years (1998 – 2002) through fieldwork involving observations and recurring interviews. The objective of the study is to describe and analyse the development into adulthood and the creation of a (cultural) identity among a group of young people in a town, which used to be heavily working class. The objective is also to relate this to gender and class, institutional practices, the cultural legacy and changes in society. Primarily qualitative sociological research methods have been applied in the study. Ideas about social interaction and social processes derived from symbolic interactionism constitute one of the scientific foundations of the study. The study deals with the three key transitions; education, work and personal life. These transitions, which are essential to attaining adulthood, are emphasised and problematised in the study. In this study we can see that the process of individualisation in modern society has, in the context of the development of young people into adulthood, taken the form of a stream of messages to which they relate and in which society has, via institutional practices and rhetoric, played an active role. Factors such as gender, class and culture have constituted the conditions for the individualisation process. The mixed messages received by these young people have been representative of the discrepancy between general career possibilities and the actual opportunities which the youths in the study have encountered. These mixed messages have been mediated, as biographical schemes, at home (by parents), at school, in the context of institutional practices and, not least, via local politics, local media and in literature about the town. In its conclusion, this study points out that political and public discourse in Norrköping constitutes a bearer and “preserver” of a patriarchal tradition which contributes to preserving the negative image of the working-class town of Norrköping.

Construction de l’image organisationnelle réfractée par les journaux et les groupes de pression : le cas du gouvernement fédéral canadien dans la mise en œuvre du projet de loi C-38Nguyen, Thi Quynh Chi 12 1900 (has links)
Ce mémoire s’est attaché à comprendre les dimensions émergentes de la constitution de l’image d’une organisation. A l’issue de l’étude de la littérature de recherche existante, nous nous sommes intéressée à l’image réfractée, qui est l’image d’une organisation construite par une catégorie de publics nommés arbitres externes. Ce sont les organisations mandatées qui diffusent de l’information au grand public.
En adoptant l’approche qualitative, nous avons réalisé une étude du processus de travail des journalistes travaillant pour des journaux différents et des membres des organismes environnementaux dans le cas de la mise en œuvre du projet de loi C-38 du gouvernement fédéral canadien. L’étude empirique nous a permis de proposer un modèle conceptuel du phénomène de la construction de l’image réfractée. Nous avons pu ainsi suggérer d’observer ce phénomène à travers les pratiques de travail des acteurs pour appréhender les dynamiques d’émergence de l’image. Aussi, nous avons insisté sur la pertinence de considérer des paramètres qui constituent le cadre dans lequel se déroule le processus de travail des acteurs appartenant à des communautés de publics différentes. Car ce sont ces paramètres qui engendrent des dynamiques régulant la construction de l’image organisationnelle au sein de chaque communauté de public. / Our research aimed to understand the emergent dimensions of an organization’s image construction. Following the review of existing research literature, we are interested in the refracted image, which is the image of an organization built by a specific public named external arbiters. These external arbiters are mandated organizations that disseminate information to the general public.
By adopting a qualitative approach, we conducted a study about the case of the implementation of Bill C-38 by the Canadian Federal Government. Specifically, we examined the working process of two arbiters communities : journalists working for different newspapers, and environmental organizations’ members. The empirical study has allowed us to propose a conceptual model of the construction of the refracted image phenomenon. We thus suggested to observe this phenomenon through the actors’ working practices to understand the emergence of the image dynamics. Also, we emphasized the relevance to consider factors that constitute the framework within which the working process of the actors belonging to different public communities takes place. For it is these parameters that generate the various dynamics regulating the organizational image’s construction by each public community.

The starting point of the study is to be found in the problem formulation that the process of becoming of adolescents who have suffered the loss of a loved one, may be blocked because they do not have the necessary skills to overcome the loss. Uppsatsen undersöker spelgrafik i Cyberpunk 2077, mot bakgrund av händelserna kring spelets offentliggörande – som väckte stort raseri och missnöje från inte bara spelarna själva, utan även aktieägare och spelrecensenter. Utgångspunkten i analysen är etablerandet av en diskursiv läsning inom en kvalitativ visuell analys av ett urval bilder som visar hur människor i spelet manipuleras till att köpa produkter som är skadliga för dem. Hur bilderna visar just detta – etableras i en andra, djupare läsning utifrån ett antal marxistiska positioner som alla har gemensamt att de beskriver processer relevanta för Karl Marx’ tankar om alienation och förfrämligande.Resultatet diskuteras sedan i relation till hur verkliga film-, spel-, data- och storföretag säljer produkter genom att paketera dem inuti berättelser om klasskamp, civilt uppror eller arbetarkultur. Sambandet mellan CD Projekt Red’s inbladning i fiktiv och verklig kapitalism, utgör det viktigaste resultatet och den röda tråden för arbetet. Huvudsakligen gestaltar sambandet sig genom upprättandet av en varufetischism och kommodifiering i fråga om hur de gestaltar- och kommunicerar till sina egna konsumenter. Jag diskuterar sedan riskerna med dataspel som tillämpning för en marxistisk kritik, då den interaktiva komponenten i spelandet förutsätter människan som en del av produkten. / The essay surveys relevant game art inside Cyberpunk 2077, in the light of the recent and heavily criticized product launch. The study starts out with establishing a discourse reading through qualitative visual samples of how costumers are manipulated to buy hazardous products inside the fictive context of the game. The examples of how this manipulation takes place, are shown by applying pre-described Marxist positions that are generally connected to Marx phases of alienation (see keywords below). The results are then discussed in relation to how real movie-, game-, computer- and other big business markets products through appropriation of stories and themes such as class struggle, civil obedience or working-class culture. Establishing the comparison between the fictive and existing capitalism of CD Projekt Red is the main thesis that is followed through the work and verified in the result through evidence of 3 commodification and commodity fetishism. The main aspect of the arguments focuzes on how CD Projekt Red has shown the relationship between themselves and their followers through consumers and manufacturers. The thesis and subject matter is discussed in the end of the essay, also mentioning the risks of analysing a digital game through Marxist perspectives, since the interactive part of gaming requires the player to be viewed as connected to the product.

L’objet de notre thèse est de situer l’analyse de l’innovation au niveau précis de la signification. Le point d’ancrage de l’étude d’une innovation est déplacé d’un point de vue purement technique à une approche représentationnelle et dialogique de l’innovation. Il s’agit de proposer une approche interprétative de l’innovation en procédant à l’analyse des imaginaires et représentations de trois catégories d’acteurs (offre, consommateurs et résistants) participant à la construction de sens d’un marché innovant « en train de se faire » : les nanotechnologies. En envisageant l’innovation comme un signifiant aux signifiés variables selon les acteurs – i.e un praxème -, nous tentons à la fois de renverser les schémas traditionnels en marketing de l’innovation - qui proposent une lecture déterministe, mécaniste et linéaire du rapport entre offre et marché -, et d’instaurer une lecture dialogique entre les acteurs de l’offre, les consommateurs et les résistants à l’innovation. Par une approche qualitative, nous étudions les modalités discursives et rhétoriques que s’opposent les acteurs de « l’arène sémantique » que constitue l’innovation. Ces modalités s’inscrivent tantôt dans une co-construction de sens et de marché, tantôt dans une déconstruction-reconstruction de sens et de marché. Ce travail vise d’une part à valoriser l’importance du sens, des jeux rhétoriques et symboliques en contexte innovant et, d’autre part, à montrer en quoi la signification d’une innovation n’est pas prédéfinie unilatéralement par l’offre, mais procède davantage d’un affrontement sémantique entre acteurs engagés dans un rapport dialogique. / The purpose of our research is to situate the analysis of the innovation at the precise level of meaning. The basis for this innovation research is a move away from a purely technical perspective to a representational and dialogical approach.To achieve this aim, we propose an interpretive approach of innovation by analysing imaginaries and representations of three categories of actors (offer, consumers and opponents) who participate in the construction of meaning in an innovative « in the making » market : nanotechnologies. By considering innovation as a term with multiple meanings according to the different actors – i.e. a praxeme -, we attempt to overthrow traditional schemes in marketing of innovation which propose a deterministic, mechanistic and linear reading of the relation between the offer and the market -, and to encourage a dialogical reading between the offer, the consumers and the innovation resistants. By a qualitative approach, we study the discursive and rhetoric modes that are opposed by the actors of the « semantic arena » that constitutes the innovation. These modes, on the one hand, fit into a co-construction of meaning and a co-construction of the market. On the other hand, they fit into a deconstruction-reconstruction of sense and of the market. This work aims, on the one hand, to highlight the importance of meaning, of the rhetoric and symbolic games in the innovative context, and, on the other hand, to show that the meaning of an innovation is not predetermined unilaterally by the offer, but results more from a semantic confrontation between actors involved in a dialogical relation

Social franchising in emerging markets : a multi-perspective approach in the education sector of Pakistan / La franchise sociale dans les marchés émergents : une approche multi -perspective dans le secteur de l'éducation au PakistanWarraich, Muhammad Akib 20 October 2017 (has links)
Cette thèse étudie les principales caractéristiques, le développement, les dimensions sociales, les avantages ainsi que les défis de la franchise dans le secteur de l'éducation au Pakistan. En outre, les résultats de notre étude montrent que la franchise de l'éducation au Pakistan fonctionne essentiellement comme une forme de franchise sociale. L'étude illustre également comment la dimension sociale de la franchise, dans le paysage éducatif pakistanais, est contrebalancée avec le côté commercial de cette pratique. Une approche qualitative multi-perspective a été adoptée. Cela a consisté à mener et à enregistrer 44 entretiens approfondis avec les franchiseurs, les franchisés, les enseignants, les employés du réseau, les parents, les étudiants et les représentants du gouvernement. Les données secondaires ont été collectées sur les sites Web des franchiseurs. Les données ont été transcrites et analysées par NVivo. Nos résultats mettent en évidence un lien entre l'émergence de la franchise sociale et la performance des établissements d'enseignement du secteur public. Nos résultats montrent également que les réseaux de franchises d'éducation au Pakistan ont eu une contribution significative sur le plan social, dans la mesure où, les taux d'alphabétisation ont augmenté et que les inégalités entre les sexes ont été réduites. Cela peut, par conséquent, être considéré comme une forme de franchise sociale. Certaines caractéristiques des réseaux de franchises éducatives au Pakistan sont les mêmes que celles de la franchise dans des secteurs plus traditionnels tels que les hôtels et les restaurants. Il est intéressant de noter que la fourniture de la marque, du transfert de savoir-faire, de l'assistance et de la formation, ainsi que l'uniformité du réseau, ont été aussi importants que dans les secteurs traditionnels de franchise. Les résultats suggèrent par ailleurs que les utilisateurs et le public ont une perception positive de la franchise dans le secteur de l'éducation et cela est considéré comme une meilleure alternative par rapport aux autres options disponibles. / This study investigates the main characteristics, development, social dimensions, benefits and the challenges of franchising in the education sector of Pakistan. Furthermore, it highlights that education franchising in Pakistan is mainly operating as a form of social franchising. The study also discusses how the social dimension of education franchising in Pakistan is counterbalanced with the commercial side of this business. A multi-perspective qualitative approach was adopted. This involved conducting and recording 44 in-depth interviews with franchisors, franchisees, school teachers, network employees, parents, students and government officials. Secondary data was collected from franchisor websites. Data was transcribed and analyzed by NVivo. The findings suggest a link between the emergence of social franchising and the performance of public sector educational institutions. Moreover, findings elaborate that education franchising networks in Pakistan have made a significant social contribution by increasing literacy rates and reducing gender inequalities. Therefore, it can be considered as a form of social franchising. Some characteristics of educational franchise networks in Pakistan are the same as those of franchising in more traditional sectors such as hotels and restaurants. Interestingly, the provision of brand name, transfer of know-how, assistance and training, as well as network uniformity, were found to be just as important as they are in traditional franchising sectors. The findings also suggest that users and public have a positive perception of franchising in the education sector and it is regarded as a better alternative as compared to other available options.

Delaktighet och inflytande är två vetenskapligt belagda faktorer som anses kunna främja hälsa. I SCB:s senaste medborgarundersökning uppger cirka åtta av tio invånare i Eskilstuna kommun att möjlighet till inflytande saknas. WHO beskriver främjandet av delaktighet och inflytande som en viktig drivkraft för att uppnå jämlikhet i hälsa. Om målet om en socialt hållbar utveckling ska kunna uppfyllas behöver denna fråga undersökas grundligare - och inte endast utifrån kvantitativa metoder. Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur invånare i Eskilstuna kommun uppfattar sina möjligheter till delaktighet och inflytande inom offentlig verksamhet. Datainsamlingsmetoden var kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med ett målstyrt urvalsförfarande, och den insamlade datan analyserades genom en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Teoretiska utgångspunkter är samhällsvetenskaplig kunskapsteori och ett hälsofrämjande perspektiv utifrån hälsans bestämningsfaktorer. Resultatet visar att informanterna är nöjda med den information som Eskilstuna kommun tillhandahåller. Däremot finns förbättringsmöjligheter huruvida informationen når fram, och avseende vikten av återkoppling vid kontaktförsök. Framtida önskvärda möjligheter innefattar bland annat att kunna registrera sig för mejlutskick och att delta i fokusgrupper. Slutsatsen är att möjligheten till förbättring respektive implementering av dessa faktorer bör utredas. Förslag för fortsatta studier är att pröva alternativa sätt att generera kvalitativa data i denna fråga. / Participation and influence are two scientifically proven factors that are considered to be able to promote health. In Statistics Sweden´s latest citizen survey, approximately eight out of ten residents in Eskilstuna municipality state that there is no opportunity for influence. World Health Organization describes the promotion of participation and influence as an important driving force for achieving equality in health. If the goal of socially sustainable development is to be met, this issue needs to be examined more thoroughly - and not only on the basis of quantitative methods. The aim of the study is to investigate how residents in Eskilstuna municipality perceive their opportunities for participation and influence in the public sector. The data collection method was qualitative semi-structured interviews with a purposeful sampling technique, and the collected data was analyzed through a qualitative manifest content analysis. Theoretical starting points are social science knowledge theory and a health-promoting perspective based on the determinants of health. The results show that the informants are satisfied with the information that Eskilstuna municipality provides. However, there are opportunities for improvement whether the information is obtained, and with the regard to the importance of feedback in communication attempts. Future desirable opportunities include being able to register for e-mails and participating in focus groups. The conclusion is that the possibility of improvement or implementation of these factors should be investigated. A suggestion for further studies is to try alternative ways to generate qualitative data on this issue.

Sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att vårda patienter med covid-19 : En allmän litteraturöversiktSvahn, Frida, Kaare, Malin January 2022 (has links)
Bakgrund: I december år 2019 upptäcktes ett nytt coronavirus vid namn SARS-CoV-2 som orsakade sjukdomen covid-19. Viruset spred sig globalt och hade enligt världshälsoorganisationen smittat mer än 440 miljoner människor i mars 2022. Tidigare forskning belyser att patienter som vårdats på olika avdelningar upplevde en ensamhet på grund av isolering. Pandemin medförde en stor belastning för sjukvården och dess personaldär sjuksköterskorna således haft ett stort ansvar för patienternas omvårdnad under den pågående pandemin. Det är därmed viktigt att beskriva sjuksköterskornas erfarenheter för att få en förståelse över sjuksköterskans arbete under en pandemi. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att vårda patienter med covid-19 på vårdavdelningar.Metod: En allmän litteraturöversikt som innefattar 15 artiklar med både kvalitativ och mixed method ansats. Resultat: I analysen av artiklarna identifierades kategorierna ”Att anpassa sig till en ny arbetssituation”, “att uppleva rädsla för smittan”, “utmaningar med att arbeta i skyddsutrustning” och “professionell- och personlig tillväxt". Slutsats:Anpassningen till den nya arbetssituationen var en stor process som skapade oro medanexponeringen för viruset orsakade en känsla av rädsla. Utmaningar gällande skyddsutrustningen gjorde även att sjuksköterskornas välmående påverkades negativt. Trots detta erfor sjuksköterskor en professionell- och personlig tillväxt av att ha kunnat hantera överväldigande situationer. / Background: In december 2019 a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 was discovered. The virus caused a disease called covid-19 and spread globally. According to the World Health Organization more than 440 million people had been infected in march 2022. Previous research highlights that patients treated for covid-19 experienced loneliness due to isolation. The pandemic entailed a great burden for the healthcare system and its staff where the nurses had a great responsibility for the patients care during the ongoing pandemic. It is therefore important to describe the nurses’ experiences to gain an understanding of the nurse’s work during a pandemic. Aim: To describe nurses experiences of caring for patients with covid-19 in hospital wards. Method: A general literature review that includes 15 articles with both qualitative and mixed method approach. Findings: The analysis of the articles identified the categories; "adapting to a new work situation", " experiencing fear of infection”, “challenges in working with protective equipment” and “professional- and personal growth”. Conclusion: Adapting to a new work situation was a major process that caused concern while the exposure to the virus caused a feeling of fear. Challenges regarding protective equipment also had a negative impact on the nurse’s well-being. Despite this the nurses experienced professional- and personal growth from being able to handle overwhelming situations.
