"Man kan inte erbjuda praktiskt stöd som en kopp kaffe om klienten är ledsen" : - En kvalitativ studie om det digitala mötets betydelse inom ekonomiskt bistånd / “You cannot offer practical support like a cup of coffee if the client is sad” : -  A qualitative study regarding the significance of the digital meeting within economic aid

Linder, Tilda, Pavlovic, Maja January 2021 (has links)
Traditionally, meetings between social workers and clients have taken place physically. Since the 2010s, there has been a digital development which has meant that more calls between social workers and clients take place digitally, for example via telephone, Skype or mobile applications. In the spring of 2020, Sweden’s social services faced a drastic change due to covid-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. In order to reduce the spread of infection, more and more meetings within the social services have had to take place digitally. This study aimed to investigate the impact and significance of digitalisation, in the form of the digital meeting, in the interaction and meeting between social welfare secretaries and clients in economic aid, viewed from the social welfare secretaries’ perspective. The empirical material has been collected through qualitative interviews with eight social welfare secretaries active within economic aid. With the intention of analyzing the empirical data a theoretical framework has been used, consisting of Goffman's theory of social interaction and new institutional organization theory. The result indicates that there are difficulties in establishing new, but also maintaining existing, relationships with clients when meetings become digital. The interaction between the parties is affected when the physical meeting is absent, especially if the parties cannot see each other. Apart from digital maturity, the digital meeting does not seem to require any other proficiency. The social welfare secretaries continue to describe that the proficiencies they already possess such as sensitivity, compassion and professionalism become more difficult to maintain in digital meetings. At the same time, the results show that digital meetings also have positive effects. It is mainly emphasized that digital meetings are more efficient and accessible than physical meetings. Furthermore, the impact and significance of the digital meeting is also affected by the client’s different conditions.

Setkávání se seniory jako příležitost pro učení žáků mladšího školního věku / Meetings with seniors as an opportunity to teach younger pupils

Kudrnáčová, Nikola January 2019 (has links)
This Master Thesis deals with the problematics of meeting younger pupils with seniors. The theoretical part of this thesis is generally about intergenerational learning, as well about intergenerational learning in different environments and other connections. I am looking for an answer to the question of whether it is attractive for teachers organize meetings of pupils with seniors in their teaching, under what conditions they do so, what prevents teachers from organizing intergenerational learning if they do not. It also deals with the current changes in families and the importance of intergenerational meetings. Practical part of the thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is pre-research, based on that we learn topicality of the topic. The main goal of the thesis, which based on a questionnaire construction, is to know if teachers think that meeting of pupils and pensioners during classes is helpful for pupils. Partial goals are to find advantages and disadvantages of those meetings and possibile examples from practice. All the partial goals are accomplished. The last practical part is about action research. This research is based on two meetings of pupils and pensioners. During this session pupils and seniors discussed, compared their lifes, their plans, dreams and exchanged advices...

De offentliga rummens betydelse för livet i staden : En fallstudie av stadsdelen Eriksberg / The meaning of public spaces for city life : A case study of the neighbourhood Eriksberg

Edwin, Björkefall January 2015 (has links)
Public spaces have through history formed an important function as meeting places for people living in the city. According to some critics, the prevailing planning ideals during the era of the Modernism neglected these functions, thus creating neighbourhoods characterised by low interaction among the citizens. Present urban planning is once again appreciating the value of creating vibrant and liveable neighbourhoods with a human scale in mind. Given the high development pressure in Sweden and around the world has however entailed great challenges for the urban planning practise, which in some cases seems to fail in supplying the most essential settings for creating the liveable city. The aim of this study is to explore how public spaces can contribute to the creation of liveable cities, looking at a specific case study of the neighbourhood Eriksberg in Uppsala. This study stands on an assumption of the existence of a connection between physical design and human behaviour and explores how the environment affects our behaviour. Eriksberg is currently undergoing a regeneration and densification process. Carrying out a literature study, a survey, interviews and observations have resulted in the identification of a number of liveability factors. The liveable city is created through participation, collaboration and integration. Furthermore, an urbane and liveable city can be described with words such as diversity, density, a high concentration of people, an open physical structure and features of a variety of different functions and activities. Eriksberg is currently an area with weak connections and poor urban qualities, although strongly characterized by its proximity to the nature. The results from this study highlight the importance of taking advantage of existing values in order to create a liveable city. The nature appeared to be a valued living factor in the case of Eriksberg, highly appreciated by the residents in the area. By implementing a development approach for Eriksberg focusing on a higher accessibility, a greater range of primary functions and different activities, a neighbourhood that is perceived as more liveable than in the current situation can be created. / Social life & Urban Form

Mitt i en pandemi - erfarna aktörers teorier om framtidens kontor / In the midst of a pandemic – theories of the future office by experienced actors

Bexell, Ida, Lindskog, Johanna January 2021 (has links)
In March 2020 the covid-19 pandemic was confirmed. Due to the pandemic, many office employees have been forced or have chosen to work from home. Distance work implicated that many office spaces have been left empty, and the future of the office is now questioned.  The office has been a place where employees go to fulfill workassignments, meet colleagues and clients. A place that creates space for exchange of experience, interaction and innovative solutions to problems. The pandemic has limited the possibility of physical meetings and to a great extent changed to digital meetings. Even though the concentrated assignments have been successfully practiced from home, the need of physical meetings has been made obvious.  The pandemic has resulted in an acceleration of the technical development and the future of the office has been much discussed. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the needs of the office as a meeting- and workplace after the year of 2020. To investigate the functions of the future office, several people with different work roles and experiences of office development has been interviewed. This bachelor thesis is based on interviews and the results of the respondents own theories and experiences of office trends.  The findings in the study reveals that a great office is a place that is optimized for the business and a place that stimulate productivity for every individual. Newly found experiences has led to the conclusion that the office has to develop in the same pace as the technological development. The office needs to be a place for impulses, meetings, exchange of experience and at the same time a place that creates the company’s culture and identity.

Stängt som mötesplats : Folkbibliotekens roll under en pandemi / Closed as a meeting place : The public libraries' role during a pandemic

Lindström, Sigrid, Andersson, Michaela January 2021 (has links)
In this master’s thesis we examine how the public libraries’ role and mission has been interpreted during the covid-19 pandemic and how the public libraries adapted to the situation. Public libraries are communal spaces meant for the public and according to the Swedish library law the public libraries should work especially towards a few specified prioritized target groups. Therefore, we also wanted to consider which groups needs that have been fulfilled or not, through the adjustments during the pandemic. The material of the study consists of interviews with 14 public library directors and 1 developer of public libraries services. We applied Fairclough’s framework for critical discourse analysis on our interview material. This framework was supplemented with Habermas term the public sphere and with the discourses about public libraries identified by Hedemark.  In the thesis we identified reasons and arguments for how the public libraries readjusted their library activities and prioritized services. We also identified which discourses about libraries were noticeable in the library directors’ descriptions of the libraries’ role during the pandemic. Several discourses about libraries identified by Hedemark were common in the material. We also found a discourse that had not been identified by previous research, which we named the social meeting place discourse. We interpreted the prevalence of this discourse about libraries, which focuses on the social aspect of the library as a meeting place, as an effect of the pandemic. Since the libraries have not been able to function as meeting places during the pandemic, this function has become more noticeable. The closing of the libraries as meeting places has affected all the library users but has affected the libraries work towards the prioritized groups the most. In some areas of Sweden the public libraries have replaced some of the meeting place functions with new digital services. These adaptions vary greatly between different counties, which has meant that people have had different access to library services depending on where they live.  This is a two years master's thesis in Library and information science.

L'image critique : Une approche psychanalytique du surgissement de la forme dans la rencontre clinique en art-thérapie / The critical image : A psycho-analytical approach of form’s arising during art therapy clinical meeting

Sens, Dominique 06 April 2013 (has links)
The goal of this research project is to define the scope of clinical practice in psychotherapy that uses artistic mediations. It also intends to examine the position of the psychotherapist in the context of care through an artistic mediation (painting, drawing, clay). The clinical situation in Art Therapy has two distinctive characteristics from verbal therapy: 1. the passage from a face to face interaction that implies a visual contact to the presence of the clinician outside the patient’s visual field once s/he is working at an easel, 2. the creation of a plastic object under the sight of a clinician. This research is based on a work of analysis of fundamental psychoanalytic concepts applied to mediated psychotherapy and on the development of the concept of “critical image.” To denote an image as critical is to consider it as a place of exerted tension and exerted crisis of a symptom according to different logics of symbolization. The meta-psychological hypothesis that guides my research relies on symbolization processes based on the inter-subjectivity of sharing different levels of symbolization between the therapist and the patient. A case study of a patient undergoing art therapy constitutes the methodology of this research.

Vítej na světě! / Welcome to the world!

Synková, Veronika Unknown Date (has links)
Childbirth as a natural part of life, where the woman giving birth has prime position and the option of choice. She should feel free and accepted - to be able to give birth physiologically (without unnecessary external interference). Physiological childbirth as the best for a woman, a baby and their relationship. Up to 80 % of women do not need a doctor to give birth, but only a "suitable environment". In my diploma thesis I propose a "maternity house". This concept is well-known abroad, in our country it is a new type of care. For this purpose, I use two existing houses, which are owned by the city of Blansko and stand next to the hospital.

Rehabilitace prostoru bývalých Jaselských kasáren v Brně / Rehabilitation Former Jaselsky Barracks Area in Brno

Doležalová, Pavlína January 2012 (has links)
Revitalization of the former Jaselské barracks located in Brno in the area between Staňkova and Štefanikova street needs brand new project of urban structure and its functional scheme.New urban project of structure proceeds from pluses of block housing project and town houses. On the contrary it tries to eliminate its own minuses. The functional concept consists mainly of living function. This function is completed with daily life services. Because of bad noisy enviroment with public transport along Staňkova street it was necessary to replace block of flats with house for administrative and seniors or young couples. The main concept of this project is the idea to return to the living in communities. It tries to support social comunication and public life. And thus returning the desappearing local identity of the place. Project follows the aims of spacial planning policy in Brno by designing the leisure time centre for youth and public. That is the pivotal project of diploma thesis.
