This study examines how gender is discursively constructed in decisions by the administrative court in Stockholm regarding the care of young persons act. Previous studies have shown a great division in how girls and boys in child welfare have been treated in Sweden. The aim of this study is to investigate whether gender is still a factor in judgments from the administrative court, examine how gender is constructed and to what consequences this can lead. The empirical material consists of six judgments from the administrative court. To analyze how gender is constructed a discourse analytic tool is used. One result is, contrary to previous studies, that boys’ sexual behaviour can also be considered a problem. The focus for boys’ sexual behaviour is, however, their actions towards others, while girls’ sexual behaviour is considered a danger towards themselves. The girls are also described in more detail and their anti-social behaviour is constructed as more severe, even though the boys are described to have more far-reaching problems. Boys do not seem to be cared for in time, which is contradictory to the care of young persons act.

Bakgrund: Barn och ungdomar med typ 1diabetes har en kronisk sjukdom. En överförflyttning från barn-och ungdomsvård till vuxenvård är därmed oundviklig. Övergången emellan vårdorganisationerna tar vid under en ömtålig period i livet när ytterligare förändringar sker för de unga personerna, exempelvis inträdandet in i vuxenlivet. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva unga personers erfarenheter av överförflyttningen från barn- och ungdomsvård till vuxenvård. Metod: Uppsatsen baseras på en litteraturöversikt av tio artiklar. Kvantitativa samt kvalitativa artiklar inhämtades från databaserna Cinahl och Medline. Resultat: Via analysen av artiklarna uppkom tre teman. Det första temat ”Ett möte med två världar” skildrar de unga personernas erfarenheter av barn- och ungdomsvårdens samt vuxenvårdens varierande miljöer och de olika vårdorganisationernas strukturer. Det andra temat ”Ett ökat egenansvar” beskriver hur vårdnadshavarnas avsaknad och nya rutiner inom vuxenvården påverkar de unga personerna. Det tredje temat ”Ett sökande efter information” visar på att informationsbrist inför och om överförflyttningen förekommer. Det leder till att de unga personerna känner sig vilsna och svikna inom vårdorganisationen. Diskussion: För unga personer med typ 1 diabetes kan det vara mycket svårt att balansera vardagen med arbete/studier och ta ansvar för sin egenvård. Efter övergången till vuxenvården förväntas den unga personen ta fullt ansvar för sin sjukdom och är personen inte förberedd på förändringen kan resultatet leda till utebliven närvaro. Sjuksköterskan kan stödja den unga personen med aktuell kunskap om sjukdomen och informera tidigt om vad överförflyttningen innebär. Resultatdiskussionen har Afaf Meleis omvårdnadsteori om transition som grund. / Background: Children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes, have a chronic disease. A transfer from the child and youth to adult care is therefore inevitable. The transition between healthcare organizations take place during a delicate period of life when further changes occur to the young people, such as the transition into adulthood. Aim: The aim was to describe young people's experiences of transition from child and youth to adult care. Methods: The essay is based on a literature review of ten articles. Quantitative and qualitative articles were obtained from the databases Cinahl and Medline. Results: Via the analysis of the articles emerged three themes. The first theme "A meeting of two worlds" describes the young people’s experiences of the child and youth care and adult care different environments, and the various healthcare organizations' structures. The second theme "An increasing responsibility" describes how guardian’s absence and procedures in adult care affects young people’s transition. The third theme "A search for information" indicates that the lack of information for and about the transfer occurs. The result is that the young people feel lost and deceived within the healthcare organization. Discussions: For young people with type 1 diabetes it may be very difficult to balance everyday life with work / study and take responsibility for their own self-care. After the transition to adult care the young person is expected to take full responsibility for the disease, and if the person is not prepared for the change the result may lead to loss of presence. The nurse can support the young person with current knowledge of the disease and inform early about what the transfer means. The result discussion has Afaf Meleis nursing theory of transition as a basis.

Hur påverkar valet mellan greppsula och glidsula sopningen i curlingBäck, Max January 2017 (has links)
Curling är unik i avseendet att man kan påverka stenens bana efter att den släppts av spelaren. Beroende på trycket (Kg) och frekvensen (soptag/min) man kan applicera under sopmoment påverkas stenen olika mycket. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om curlingspelare med greppsula är mer uthålliga beträffande trycket och frekvensen vid sopning under flera stenar jämfört med curlingspelare som sopar med glidsula. Studien är en experimentellundersökning med två grupper och urvalet bestod av 17 män, 16–23 år, som spelade curling i någon av de två högsta serierna i Sverige. Undersökningsdeltagarna sopade tre stenar i följd under 15 sekunder med 50 sekunders vila mellan varje sten. Utrustningen som användes var mätinstrumentet (Broom-Mate), pulsklockan (Pm25, Beurer: Tyskland) och (Borg-Rpe-skalan). Resultatet från studien tyder på att det inte finns några signifikanta skillnader mellan att sopa med greppsula eller glidsula gällande förmågan att applicera och bibehålla trycket och frekvensen under tre sopade stenar. / Curling is unique in the way that you can affect the path of the curling rock after it´s been released. Depending on the amount of force (Kg) and frequency (strokes/min) of the sweeping motion it affects the path differently. The purpose of this study is to exam if curling players sweeping with gripper on are better regarding sustaining their force and frequency sweeping multiple stones compared to curling players sweeping with sliders on. The report is an experimental study with two groups. The selection consisted of 17 men, aged 16-23 years, regularly playing in one of the two top leagues in Sweden. The participants swept three stones in a row during 15 seconds with 50 seconds rest in between the stones. Equipment used during the collection of data were the (Broom-mate), heartrate monitor (Pm25, Beurer: Germany) and (Borg-RPE-scale). The results from the report suggest that there´s no significant difference between sweeping with gripper or slider on, regarding the ability to apply and sustain their force and frequency during three rounds of sweeping.

The rights of the young person in the New Zealand youth justice family group conferenceLynch, Nessa, n/a January 2009 (has links)
The youth justice family group conference (FGC) is a statutory decision making process whereby the young person, their family/whanau, state officials and the victim of the offence come together to decide on a response to offending by that young person. The FGC is an integral part of the youth justice system, involving thousands of young people and their families each year.
There is a considerable amount of literature available on the youth justice FGC, most notably in regard to the purported restorative justice nature of the process. However, for a legal process which involves so many young people on a daily basis, there is little information available on the due process rights of young people in the FGC. This thesis seeks to remedy this gap in the research knowledge.
Firstly, this thesis establishes the theoretical framework for the rights of the young person in the youth justice system. The historical context and theoretical justification for these rights is considered, and the benchmarks for rights coming from international and national human rights standards are identified. A key theoretical issue is the application of rights to the FGC. It is argued that although the FGC differs in format from the adversarial criminal process, it remains a state process involved in resolving a breach of the criminal law, and thus the young person's rights should be safeguarded.
Secondly, this thesis evaluates legislation, policy and practice relating to the rights of the young person in the FGC. Three key areas of rights are considered: legal assistance, how the offence is proved, and outcomes of the FGC. Reference is made to practice examples derived from observation of the FGC in two centres in New Zealand.
Finally, as the FGC is certain to remain an integral part of the youth justice system, recommendations are made as to how legislation and practice could be improved to better safeguard the rights of young people in this process.

limites e possibilidades em relações de parceria intersetorial, a partir das
características de uma experiência de parceria considerada exitosa, envolvendo
organizações de origem estatal, empresarial e não-governamental em prol da
inserção qualificada de jovens no mercado de trabalho, em Salvador–BA.
Inicialmente, são trazidas percepções a respeito das transformações nos limites e
nas relações entre as esferas pública e privada, frente a desafios complexos, na
atualidade. Em seguida, é apresentado um levantamento bibliográfico de
características das relações de parcerias e é apresentado um modelo de análise, o
qual foi utilizado para subsidiar as investigações empíricas. As análises têm como
foco o estudo de caso de uma relação de parceria envolvendo três organizações de
diferentes origens: a ONG CIPÓ Comunicação Interativa, o Instituto Unibanco, de
origem empresarial, e a Delegacia Regional do Trabalho da Bahia (DRT-BA), órgão
estatal. Entre as conclusões do estudo, verifica-se que o caso analisado evidencia
que relações intersetoriais de parceria podem consolidar-se ao longo do tempo,
alcançando resultados positivos em torno de desafios coletivos complexos, por meio
de um processo de engajamento mútuo, superação de limites e constante

Närvarande moder/frånvarande fader : Konstruktionen av föräldraskap i LVU-domarArvidsson, Jessica, Lindström, Hanna January 2022 (has links)
Jämställdhet innebär lika möjligheter och villkor för kvinnor och män i alla livets områden, däribland familj och barnuppfostran. Tidigare studier visar att det finns en skillnad i vilken ansvar som åläggs mödrar och fäder i barnomsorgen. När föräldrar brister i omsorgen av ett barn finns Lag (SFS 1990:52) med särskilda bestämmelser om vård av unga (LVU) för att skydda barn från omständigheter som kan skada deras utveckling. En av dessa brister kan vara om barnet har föräldrar med beroendeproblematik. Syftet med studien var att genom en socialkonstruktionistisk ansats och genusperspektiv analysera hur föräldraförmåga och beroendeproblematik framställs hos mödrar och fäder i förvaltningsrättens domar vid LVU-mål. Detta har gjorts genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av 63 domar från en av Sveriges förvaltningsrätter. Analysens resultat visade att att kvinnor åläggs ett större ansvar gällande föräldraskap samt att bedömningen av deras beroendeproblematik ges större utrymme. Ytterligare ett genomgående resultat var att män i dessa domar inte gavs samma utrymme och ansvar. Bland annat fanns en avsaknad av resonemang i domar gällande mäns föräldraförmåga och beroendeproblematik i vissa fall, vilket visar på könade förväntningar och mönster kring både beroendeproblematik och barnomsorg. Mödrar konstrueras som mer avvikande i sitt beroende och även som den primära omsorgsgivaren för barnet.

Normbrytande tjejer : en diskursanalys av konstruktionen av feminitet i LVU-domar jämlikt 3 § / Antisocial Girls : a 3 § LVU Discourse Analysis of Construction of Feminity in CourtJuberg, Vendela, Thomsson, Hilda January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this study was to, by a discourse analysis of LVU court cases, display how conceptions of feminity, sexuality and antisocial behaviour related to gender is constructed and examine whether this construction is characterized by continuity or alteration. We have examined 20 LVU court cases by using a discourse analysis. The results were analysed by using gender theory. The results showed among others that the construction of feminity is created by the courts portrayal of the girls in the court cases and what is portrayed as normal or deviant related to the girls’ behaviour. Behaviours which are portrayed as deviant for girls are for example use/abuse of addictive substances, to put yourself in environments filled with risks, to have behaviours which are negatively extrovert and/or criminal, to have a destructive behaviour in succession to mental illness, not to be an “ideal” victim, to see elderly men and express your own sexuality. One of our foremost conclusions is that the court, by our interpretation, incitements that the girls should assume stereotypical gender roles which are, for instance, characterized by vulnerability, caring for others and the need to be controlled.

Previous issue date: 2010-03-12 / This work is concerned to the study of the National Program of Professional Education Integration with the Basic Education in the Young Persons and Adults Education Modality (PROEJA) created by the Ministry of Education (MEC). Our objective is to evaluate the implementation process of the Program in the state public net of local municipalities of the West of the Paraná: Cascavel, Foz do Iguaçu and Medianeira, in the first two years it was offered the PROEJA courses in the State, respectively, the years 2008 and 2009, it has been done trying to check how the implementation process has been achieved the objectives proposed in the main documents and what difficulties it has been found in the implementation process. Focusing on the accomplishment of our objective, we try, in the first chapter, to understand the PROEJA determinants. Considering that the effectiveness of a social politic and, therefore educational, has it origin in the productive structure and in the class struggles, we intended, in this chapter, to understand the context of the productive restructures and the Basic Education reform. In the second chapter, we characterize the PROEJA education politic, considering the recent history of the Brazilian education politics for the high school education and for the Education of Young persons and Adults, intending to understand the context that preceded the PROEJA which made possible its foundation in the country and in the Paraná state. We will discuss also about the legality, pedagogic, administrative and financial aspects and the functions of the PROEJA, as well as its articulation to the demands of the productive restructuring, expressed in a particular way by State claims and by the international organisms. In the third chapter we aimed to characterize economically and socially of the municipalities researched with the intention of bringing elements that helped in the evaluation of the implementation of the PROEJA in the public schools of these towns. In the four chapter we present data and informations constituted, fundamentally, based in the research project Demands and potentialities of the PROEJA in the Paraná State . The researches of this work are from the Technological Federal University of the Paraná (UTFPR), Federal University of the Paraná (UFPR) and State University of the West of the Paraná (UNIOESTE), is based from the experience lived in the extension project Demands and Potentialities of the PROEJA in the Paraná State: a contribution to the continued formation of professionals connected to the PROEJA courses in the Western Region of the Paraná performed by UNIOESTE researchers and based on data collected at the State Secretary of Education of the Paraná (SEED). In the fifth and last chapter, based on the knowledge built in the previous chapters, we try to discuss in a objective way about the research, evaluating the PROEJA implementation at municipalities of the West of the State. In the final considerations we made a more general analysis on the evaluation performed in the last chapter intending to understand if the PROEJA objectives can be reached in the towns of the West of the Paraná by the way it has been implemented, what wide determinants that defined its offer in Brazil, in the Paraná State and in the towns studied and what are the political and ideological objectives that it is intended to reach with the Program. / Realizamos nesse trabalho o estudo do Programa Nacional de Integração da Educação Profissional com a Educação Básica na Modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (PROEJA) criado pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC). Nosso objetivo é avaliar o processo de implementação do Programa na rede pública estadual de municípios do Oeste do Paraná: Cascavel, Foz do Iguaçu e Medianeira, nos dois primeiros anos de oferta dos cursos do PROEJA no Estado, respectivamente nos anos de 2008 e 2009, procurando averiguar em que medida o processo de implementação tem assegurado a efetivação dos objetivos propostos nos documentos norteadores e que dificuldades tem sido encontradas no processo de implementação. Tendo em vista a realização deste objetivo, procuramos no primeiro capítulo conhecer os determinantes do PROEJA. Considerando que a efetivação de uma política social e logo, educacional, tem suas origens na estrutura produtiva e nas lutas de classes, procuramos nesse capítulo compreender o contexto da reestruturação produtiva e da reforma da Educação Básica. No segundo capítulo realizamos a caracterização da política educacional do PROEJA, abordando a história recente da política educacional brasileira para o ensino médio e para a Educação de Jovens e Adultos, almejando a compreensão do contexto que antecedeu o PROEJA e que possibilitou a sua implantação no país e no Paraná. Tratamos ainda dos aspectos legais, pedagógicos, administrativos e financeiros e das funções do PROEJA, bem como da sua articulação às demandas da reestruturação produtiva, expressas de modo particular pelas pretensões do Estado e dos organismos internacionais. No terceiro capítulo buscamos caracterizar econômica e socialmente os municípios pesquisados com o intuito de trazer elementos que auxiliassem na avaliação da implementação do PROEJA nas escolas públicas destas localidades. No quarto capítulo apresentamos dados e informações constituídos, fundamentalmente, a partir do projeto de pesquisa Demandas e potencialidades do PROEJA no Estado do Paraná do qual participam pesquisadores da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) e Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE), da experiência vivenciada no projeto de extensão Demandas e Potencialidades do PROEJA no Estado do Paraná: uma contribuição à formação continuada de profissionais vinculados aos cursos do PROEJA na Região Oeste do Paraná executado por pesquisadores da UNIOESTE e de dados coletados junto à Secretaria de Estado da Educação do Paraná (SEED). No quinto e último capítulo, de posse dos conhecimentos abordados nos capítulos anteriores, procuramos realizar de modo mais direto o objetivo da pesquisa, avaliando a implementação do PROEJA em municípios do Oeste do Estado. Nas considerações finais procuramos realizar uma análise mais geral sobre a avaliação realizada no último capítulo tendo em vista compreender se os objetivos do PROEJA vem sendo atingidos nos municípios do Oeste do Paraná pela forma como vem sendo implementado, quais os determinantes mais amplos que definiram sua oferta no Brasil, no Paraná e nos municípios estudados e quais são os objetivos políticos e ideológicos que se pretende alcançar com o Programa.

We have taken an interest in the production of both boys and girls and their mothers and fathers because there are clear differences in the description of these. From a historical perspective, the differences between gender in social assessments occurred despite the fact that discrimination is prohibited by law and despite the fact that social service shall work on the basis of an gender equality perspective. In the analysis and interpretation of the rulings we have been inspired by a critical discourse analysis. 30 social-judgements have been analyzed where of 15 concerns girls and 15 involve boys. In our study obvious differences between the sexes appear. Gender stereotypical patterns emerged in several cases, for example social service only mentioned sexuality and adolescent self-harm of girls but in non of the boys cases.
