[en] OPERATIONAL MODAL ANALYSIS IN THE TIME DOMAIN: A CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE IDENTIFICATION METHODS / [pt] ANÁLISE MODAL OPERACIONAL NO DOMÍNIO DO TEMPO: UM ESTUDO CRÍTICO DOS MÉTODOS DE IDENTIFICAÇÃOGUSTAVO BRATTSTROEM WAGNER 13 December 2017 (has links)
[en] Modal analysis consists in the characterization of a system through its modal parameters. When the main excitation source is the system s environment, this characterization is defined as operational modal analysis (OMA). On those cases, the forces are unknown (not measured) and only the responses are monitored. Because of there random nature, those signals are incorporated into the numerical model as stochastic processes. The main goal of this dissertation is to describe the identification techniques in
OMA. Therefore, two different approaches were created: a theoretical one and an experimental one. In the theoretical part, the required hypotheses for system s identification with OMA are presented. An analysis of the errors caused by noisy signals are also performed, allowing the method s sensibility to be evaluated. Besides the standard identification methods, two new ones are proposed. They both has been developed as extension of the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) and combine an efficient computational process with the possibility of quantify the parameters uncertainties. In the experimental approach, the goal is to illustrate and validate the identification of structures. Therefore, three different test bench were created: a two floor building, a wind turbine blade and a cable-stayed bridge. After their construction, those structures were proper instrumented with different sensors. A data acquisition system were built using commercial hardwares and analyzed through a graphic interface specially made for OMA and developed in the vibration laboratory.

[en] PSYCHO IMPOTENCE REVISITED: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE STUDY OF MALE LOVE / [pt] A IMPOTÊNCIA PSÍQUICA REVISITADA: CONTRIBUIÇÕES AO ESTUDO DO AMOR MASCULINORONALDO SOUSA SAMPAIO 28 March 2005 (has links)
[pt] Este trabalho visa a discutir a concepção psicanalítica do
amor masculino numa
sociedade patriarcal falocêntrica. Partindo do argumento
freudiano que se baseia
na explicação edípica, discutimos a seguir a contribuição
[en] This work aims to discuss the psychoanalytic notion of
male love in a patriarchal
phalocentric society. Starting with Freudian ideas based
on the Oedipus complex
we then discussed Badinter, Ribeiro and Chodorow`s
contributions that consider
pre-Oedipus identifications, and specially the primary
identification with mother
fundamental in the constitution of masculinity, which in
their views is always
secondary. Finally we concluded that in phalocentric
societies becoming a man
signifies to be radically separated from the mother and to
delete from the mind the
feminine traces acquired in the relation with the maternal
object. Therefore, in
phalocentric societies love is a dangerous feeling for men
who protect themselves
from it in different ways, splitting being one of them
according to Freud.

[en] This research aimed to investigate the influence of the Leader-Follower Relationship on Interactional Justice and, through the possibilities of Organizational Identification, Disidentification and Ambivalent Identification, the influence of this perception of justice on the Judgment of Organizational Retaliation. It is a quantitative study, which sought to explore the models and analyze the proposed hypotheses. Multiple regressions were performed considering different dependent variables, objects of the study. The research was carried out in two organizations belonging to the commercial and health sectors, with a significant sampling frame. The results indicated that, in both organizations, the association between the Leader-Follower Relationship and Interactional Justice was confirmed; but it was not possible to confirm the association between the Leader-Follower Relationship and the Organizational Retaliation Judgment. As a finding of this research, the Organizational Identification was more significant in the prediction of the Organizational Retaliation Judgment as an independent variable than as one of the moderators of the association between Interactional Justice and the Organizational Retaliation Judgment.

[en] IDENTITY AND IDENTIFICATION PROCESSES IN A TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY WITHIN A CONSTANT CHANGE ENVIRONMENT / [pt] PROCESSOS DE IDENTIDADE E IDENTIFICAÇÃO EM UMA EMPRESA DE TELECOMUNICAÇÃO EM CONSTANTE MUDANÇAANA PAULA ULYSSEA RODRIGUES 16 July 2018 (has links)
[en] The 1980s Brazilian fiscal crisis led the state to review its role at some economy sectors, telecommunications among them, resulting in its privatization process. Bringing a competitiveness increase and the need to restructure the segment, impacting companies strategies, structures, performance models,
processes and identities, requiring a great need for adaptation and focusing on change. In this context, this study aims to analyze the processes of identifying in organizational change environments, in a telecommunications service provider, from a qualitative, interpretative perspective and used in-depth interviews as methodology, its sample is composed of thirteen individuals who worked or who are working in one of the largest companies of this segment, member of an European multinational group, operating throughout national territory. In the scope of this work, the organizational identity is understood, from the perspective of Schultz and Corley (2000), as permanent under construction phenomenon, providing the organization with a better capacity to adapt to changes and new demands; and the identification processes, from Ashforth, Harrison and Corley (2008) perspective, also as a flow, something continuous, where the main attributes for this process would be in the central components of identity, followed by the contents and behaviors of identity. As a result, two organizational identities were found, one of internal and one external focus, concomitantly, in addition to six categories, characterizing the processes of identification.

destrutivos. Foram desenvolvidos e codificados algoritmos,
em diferentes formatos computacionais, para o tratamento
deste problema. O desenvolvimento é aplicável a
técnicas numéricas aqui desenvolvidas, a localização e
apresentado. / [en] Numerical modeling is a valuable tool in the evaluation and
prediction of structural behavior from given experimental
data. This work presents a study of some problems of
identification of structural systems. The main objective is
the computer evaluation and interpretation of structural
parameters from the results of non-destructive mechanical
tests.Algorithms were developed and coded, in different
computational formats, to treat this problem. The
development is applicable to any type of structure modeled
by finite elements. Examples presented in this work are
sets of masses and springs, beams in pane bending, beams in
bending and torsion, arches, frames and trusses. The
determination of stiffness and mass terms, from local
and global information on displacements, strains and
frequencies, is discussed. The studies indicate that, using
the numerical techniques developed herein, it is possible
to determine a location and magnitude of damages occurred
in structures, from the static or dynamic response
data, resorting to limited information on the response of
the undamaged structure. Such techniques were extended to
the evaluation of stresses and loadings, by taking into
account effects of geometric nonlinearity. Criteria for
design of experiments are presented, which allow
for maximum sensitivity and minimum correlation of the
structural parameters under concern.Several examples are
presented to illustrate the theoretical and numerical
techniques developed herein.

[en] IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM OF FAULTS IN TRANSMISSION LINES BASED ON NEURAL NETWORKS / [pt] SISTEMA DE IDENTIFICAÇÃO E LOCALIZAÇÃO DE FALTAS EM LINHAS DE TRANSMISSÃO BASEADO EM REDES NEURAISMARCO ANTONIO FERNANDES RAMOS 20 May 2003 (has links)
padrões;
utilizado é o Back Propagation. Como fruto deste estudo
bibliográfico é apresentado neste trabalho um resumo
sobre
RNA.
neurais
do programa MATLAB ver. 6.0, representados por Redes
Perceptron Multicamadas (Multi Layer Perceptron),
treinadas
adaptativa e o termo momentum fixo. Um modelo único de
RNA
identifica quais as fases (A, B, C e T) envolvidas,
classificando o tipo de falta, que pode ser: Monofásica;
neurais
nesse problema. / [en] When a kind of fault occurs in a Transmission Line, its
exact location is essential for a fast reclosing of the
Electric System. Methods that use voltages and currents
from only one terminal contain simplifications that can to
cause mistakes. This paper presents an investigation about
application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) obtaining a
new way of identification for the type of the short circuit
and its location, using data obtained only in one terminal.
The work consists on the following 4 main parts:
bibliographical study of Neural Network`s area; simulations
of faults in order to obtain of patterns; definition and
implementation of Neural Network`s models for
identification and location of the fault; and studies
of cases.
In the bibliographical study step on ANN, it was verified
that the topologies for the more usual nets are Feed-
Forward, that can have one or more layers of Processor
Elements (PE), being the nets with multiple layers the most
complete configuration. For the net training, the more used
learning algorithm is Back Propagation. Product of this
bibliographical study presents in this work a summary about
ANN.
In the faults simulations in order to obtain the training
patterns and test, it was used an automatic system that,
through the combination of several parameters of the
electric system, generates different fault situations. This
system uses as base the program Alternative Transient
Program - ATP. In this work the electric system is
represented by a Transmission Line of 345 KV, with
equivalent sources representing a real system of Furnas
Centrais Elétricas. All the voltages and currents signs
used are represented by fasors of 60 Hz, obtained from
Discret Fourier Transformer (DFT).
The ANN models for identification and fault location were
implemented with subroutines of neural network of the
program MATLAB version 6.0, represented by Multi Layer
Perceptron, with algorithm Back Propagation with tax of
adaptive learning and the term momentum fixed. Only one
model of ANN identifies which phases (A, B, C and T) are
involved, classifying the fault type, that can be:
Singlephase; Phase-to-Phase; Double Phase-to-Ground or
Three-phase. For the fault location, they were defined 4
architectures of ANN, one for each type of fault. The
activation of each topology of ANN for location is defined
depending on of the fault type classified in the
identification model with ANN.
In the stage of cases study the representation of each
model of ANN was tested using cases of tests in other fault
situations, different from the training groups. The ANN of
fault identification was evaluated for situations of faults
involving other Transmission Line, with different voltage
levels. The results of 4 ANNs of fault location were
compared with the obtained results using the traditional
method, so much for the simulated cases as for some real
situations of fault.
The use of ANNs for the identification and the fault
location has shown quite efficient for the analyzed cases,
proving the applicability of the neural networks in
that problem.

[en] Most laboratories do not have a computerized system for management procedures. The administration and control of the samples are made manualy through many forms of data sheets which are filled from the beginning, when the samples of biological materials are gathered at the hospital, up to the final identification at the laboratory. In this context, the organization of the information become very limited, while the information writting by hands and stored in books, its almost impossible to extract useful knowledge, which could help not only supporting decisions but also in the formulations of simples statistics. This thesis had two objectives. The development of a web system called BCIWeb (Bacterial Classifiation and Identification for Web) that could assist in bacterial identification and provide the technology necessary for the administration and control of clinical specimen coming from the hospitals and the discovery of knowledge in database system, through data mining methods using SOM (Self Organizing Maps) and Multilayer Perceptron Neural Networks (MLP) for classification and identificatin of bactéria. From the development of this friendly tool, in the case study, the historical data from LDCIC (Laboratório de Difteria e Corinebactérias de Importância Clínica) of UERJ Biology Department were entered into the system. The proposed intelligent methods for classification and identification of bacteria were analysed and showed promising results.

[en] BORDERLINE CONDITIONS AND SOME OF THEIR CLINICAL CHALLENGES / [pt] OS ESTADOS-LIMITE E ALGUNS DE SEUS DESAFIOS CLÍNICOS02 July 2004 (has links)
obstante, a
limite e algumas
Finalmente,
outros termos, tais
como casos-limite, ou distúrbios limítrofes, possam
sugerir. Enquanto que
estes últimos possuem conotações marcantemente patológicas,
pertencendo,
portanto a uma clínica psicanalítica específica, o termo
estados-limite permite
neurose. / [en] Borderline conditions have been part of psychoanalytical
literature since
the early stages of psychoanalysis. However, since the
second half of the last
century, interest in this subject has grown considerably
and there has been a
steady increase in the number of articles and essays
published. Nevertheless,
polemic around this theme seems also to grow in the same
proportion. This work
covers a brief history of the term borderline and some of
the controversies in the
different psychoanalytical environments, principally as to
the relationship
between the borderline treatment and that of narcissistic
personalities. Issues
regarding the constitution of subjectivity and its
incidence in the borderline
therapy are also dealt with. Finally, some forms of
borderline pathology and
important clinical aspects, such as transference and
counter transference
implications, are reviewed. The preference for the term
borderline conditions
aims to broaden the scope that other terms, such as
borderline cases or
borderline disturbances may suggest. While these latter
possess strong
pathological connotations, belonging, therefore, to a
specific psychoanalytical
treatment, the term borderline conditions allows for the
designation of situations
with similar characteristics, although episodic and liable
to occur in any type of
psychoanalytical treatment, including the neurotic.

[en] HYBRID MODEL IDENTIFICATION BASED ON ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS FOR LATERAL DYNAMICS OF MILITARY VEHICLE / [pt] IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE MODELO HÍBRIDO BASEADO EM REDES NEURAIS PARA DINÂMICA LATERAL DE VEÍCULOS MILITARESCAMILA LEAO PEREIRA 19 June 2023 (has links)
ferramenta CONTSID (CONTinuous-Time System IDentification), disponível
guinada do veículo, respectivamente.
dinâmico do sistema.
[en] The study of lateral dynamics is of great importance for the vehicle
behavior analysis during turning maneuvers, and it is fundamental to stability
or path control systems used in autonomous vehicles. In this context, based
on experimental measurements of a three-axle military wheeled vehicle during
double lane changes maneuvers at different speed, this work presents methods
for the identification of linear models using the CONTSID (CONTinuous-Time
System IDentification) toolbox, available in MATLAB; nonlinear models based
on artificial neural networks; and, the application of hybrid models to reduce
the error associated with the first approach, combining the linear model to the
estimated error using neural networks. Since those are data-driven methods, as
input and output parameters of the system, the wheel steering angle and the
yaw rate of the vehicle were respectively selected. Using the CONTSID toolbox,
the identification of the transfer functions for each speed was performed,
making it possible to evaluate the influence of this variable in the system s
dynamics behavior. Thereafter, a neural network approach was applied to the
same data set, changing architecture s parameters, such as number of neurons,
layers and the activation function. At last, a hybrid model approach was
presented through the combination of previous linear and nonlinear approaches
to improve the estimated model response. The proposed methods showed
satisfatory results, highlighting the improvement in the linear model through
its replacement by the hybrid model based on neural networks. Therefore, this
work aims to show the potential of the methods presented, and posteriorly
contribute to studies on the implementation of vehicle control systems to
increase safety, improve comfort and in the development of autonomous
vehicles.

[pt] IDENTIFICAÇÃO NÃO LINEAR HÍBRIDA DE SISTEMAS MECÂNICOS COM MODELOS FÍSICOS E DE APRENDIZADO DE MÁQUINA / [en] NONLINEAR SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION OF HYBRID MACHINE LEARNING AND PHYSICAL MODELS FOR MECHANICAL SYSTEMSDANIEL HENRIQUE BRAZ DE SOUSA 16 May 2023 (has links)
sistema.
do conhecimento.
[en] There is a growing demand for accurate dynamic models, driven by the
Industry 4.0 paradigm that introduces, among others, the concept of the digital twin in which dynamic models play an important role. Ideally, a dynamic
model presents a compromise between complexity and accuracy, while providing physical insight into the system. To improve a model accuracy while
keeping interpretability, the usual approach is to mathematically model all
the nonlinearities, which ultimately leads to an overcomplex model. Another
approach involves a black-box identification, a data-driven approach where a
mathematical model is adjusted to describe the system s input-output relation,
which may provide an accurate model, but it does not provide interpretability.
The developments in computational processing capacity have allowed the flourishing of the field of machine learning, which has shown interesting results in
different fields of knowledge. One of these applications is black-box identification, where machine learning has successfully been employed in the modeling
of nonlinear systems, which has inspired research on the topic. Even though
the machine-learning-based models present enhanced accuracy, which for several applications is sufficient, they do not provide interpretability. Aiming at
providing both accuracy and interpretability while keeping a compromise with
model complexity, this work proposes a hybrid identification methodology that
combines a gray-box phenomenological model with a black-box model based
on artificial neural networks. The proposed methodology is applied in three
case studies of nonlinear systems with experimental data, namely, the vertical
dynamics of a vehicle, an elastomer-based series elastic actuator, and an electromechanical positioning system. The results show that the proposed hybrid
model is up to 60 percent more accurate while providing the physical interpretability
of the system, without significantly increasing the complexity of the model.
