I'd rather have a cup of tea" : En maskulinitetsstudie av popfenomenet Boy George Viktorsson Blom, Linnéa January 2011 (has links) Uppsatsen är en kulturanalys som med utgångspunkt i den brittiska popikonen Boy George behandlar intersektioner mellan maskulinitet, sexualitet, populärkultur och makt. Syftet är att skildra Boy George i sin specifika kontext, närmare bestämt den brittiska musikindustrin på 1980- talet. Mot den bakgrunden analyseras hur hans maskulinitet och sexualitet kan förstås som ett uttryck för synen på sexualitet och kön under hans samtid. Uppsatsen syftar till att urskilja vilka normgränser relaterade till kön och sexualitet Boy George rörde sig inom genom en närstudie av detaljer i rörlig bild och text. Uppsatsen utgår från queerteori, med användning av begreppet heteronormativitet samt den heterosexuella matrisen som analytiskt verktyg. Därutöver tillämpas genomgående R. W Connells maskulinitetsteori. Uppsatsen skildrar den motsägelsefulla brytpunkten mellan hegemonisk- och underordnad maskulinitet. Det som betraktas som hegemonisk maskulinitet i ett sammanhang kan anses vara underordnad maskulinitet i ett annat, vilket således leder till att en paradox uppstår, något som utforskas i uppsatsen genom analysen av Boy George. Följaktligen lyfter uppsatsen fram på vilka sätt normer kring genus/ kön och sexualitet sätter gränser för och/ eller möjliggör olika typer av maskulinitet/ femininet, begärsstrukturer och könsöverskridanden. 3	Synth, keyboard, orgel och piano i samklang : En djupdykning i klaviaturens ljud- och spelstil på 1970- och 80-talet. Forsberg Liminga, Gustaf January 2023 (has links) Jag har alltid uppskattat 1970- och 80-talets musik och nu när jag skrivit mitt examensarbete på LTU har jag utforskat vad keyboardisterna har bidragit med spel- och soundmässigt. Jag har analyserat olika 1970- och 80-talslåtar som är intressanta klaviaturmässigt. Jag berättar även om de olika klaviaturinstrumenten och olika synthar som var populära under dessa två decennier. Målet med arbetet var att finna tidstypiska spelstilar och sounds från denna tidsperiod som jag skulle kunna använda vid omskapande av en nutida poplåt. I slutet av min analys har jag genomfört en improvisation med utgångspunkt från min analys jag gjort om 1970- och 80-talets klaviaturinstrument. Målet med arbetet var även att utvecklas som musiker. Under detta arbete har jag tagit intryck av olika spelstilar och jag har fått möjlighet att utveckla min kunskap om vilka stilar som kan vara användbara vid olika framtida produktioner. 4	Ut ur bastun, grabbar! : En queerteoretisk studie av Bastuklubbslagen och sexualitetsnormer under aids tidiga utbredning i Sverige Lundin, Stina January 2015 (has links) The 1980s was a decade when homosexuality was frequently debated because of the contemporary incoming of aids. Since aids first affected homo- and bisexual men they became stigmatized as the risk group. The Swedish authorities started to act with epidemical methods at 1985/86, which restricted the sexual minority. This study, unlike others made before, contextualizes the lawmaking of Bastuklubbslagen, a prohibition concerning gaysaunas, by analyzing it with queer theoretic perspectives. Through an investigation of Bastuklubbslagen and contemporary sexual norms, this survey shows that the making of distinctions between hetero- and homosexuality were central to the context of the lawmaking. The outcome primarily shows that sexual norms were linked to a heteronormative point of view when Bastuklubbslagen was motivated by the authorities. Heteronormative ideals about monogamy and twosomeness made impact on the founding of the law. Sex between men was pointed out as harmful and gaysaunas as the explicit locations for the spreading of aids. My survey is contextualizing behaviors as the authorities described meant a risk of being infected by aids, or to spread it. My study has shown that homo- and bisexuals were regarded as the active actors of aids increasing, while the heterosexual majority was passivated. In the field of historical queer studies this study enhances the greatness of heterosexual normativity within the stigmatization and sanctions made by the authorities’, as Bastuklubbslagen became an aids prevention strategy. 5	Ung, samtida och postmodern : En studie av det svenska konstfältet under 1980-talet utifrån Lars Nilssons konstnärskap / Young, contemporary and postmodern : A study of the Swedish art field during the 1980s reflected through the artistic production of Lars Nilsson Krispinsson, Charlotta January 2010 (has links) <p>The aim of this thesis is to study the Swedish art field during the 1980s, from the perspective of the artistic production of Lars Nilsson. During this decade he became one of the most well known young artists associated with postmodernism.</p><p>The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first part examines different influences and aspects of the art of Lars Nilsson, as well as the contexts he was a part of. This is performed through a chronological as well as a categorizing presentation, based upon different exhibitions where Nilsson participated during the 1980s.</p><p>In the second part the subject is the Swedish art field, and how Lars Nilsson came to be part of a a new established category of a young generation of artists, mostly born in the 1950s, who were associated with youth, postmodernism and contemporaneousness. This part also puts attention to the importance of Lars Nittve, then art critic and curator, in introducing postmodernism, as well as establishing this new categorization of artists in Sweden.</p><p>The last part of the thesis studies four different group exhibitions, and how they all exemplify how "a younger generation of artists" were to be connected with notions of postmodernism and contemporaneousness through curatorial practice. Lars Nilsson participated at the thirst three of these exhibitions. This is followed with a last group exhibition, where the idea of younger artists as <em>the</em> most contemporary were to be questioned. Born in 1923 and active until her death in 1998, Renata Wrede produced a varied and colorful corpusof paintings, lithographies, drawings, sculptures, textile designs and pottery, most–but not all -of which is in the possession of her family. Herrigorous artistic training, deep engagement with her other passion –horses –and personal struggles for independence combined to create a varied style with anthropomorphizing images of -among many motifs-horses. Four of these images, taken from different periods of her life as an artist -are analyzed in this thesis paper. The focus on the analysis of the four works is the role of the horses in the picture: What do they do? How do they contribute to the composition? Why are they there? With the help of Renata Wrede’s autobiographical three books, Mitt romerska lejon (My Roman Lion), Juvelskrinet (The Jewelry Box) and Ior och hästarna (Ior and the Horses), the pictures are analyzed from the information provided by the writer and artist herself. The appendix includes a collection of Renata Wrede’s works (incomplete, but extensive) put together by the author of this thesis.
