Terapeutintervention och känslouttryck hos en ungdom i anknytningsbaserad familjeterapi : en fallstudie / Therapist intervention and emotional expression of an adolescent in attachment-based family therapy : a case study

Inledning: Anknytningsbaserad familjeterapi (ABFT) syftar till att stärka relationen mellan ungdomar och föräldrar genom att bearbeta ungdomens känslor kopplade till anknytningsbrott i relationen. Denna studie fokuserar på det terapeutiska arbetet med känslor. Frågeställning: Vilka terapeutinterventioner kan man urskilja som bidrar till att ungdomar uttrycker känslor i ABFT? Metod: I denna kvalitativa fallstudie har ett urval sessioner av en videofilmad ABFT observerats och analyserats med avseende på hur ungdomens känslomässiga nivå förändras och vilka terapeutinterventioner som föregår förändringen. Resultat: Då terapeuten frågar eller uppmanar ungdomen att berätta om förberedda sårbara teman för föräldrar och samtidigt uppmanar föräldrarna att fråga och spegla empatiskt, stiger den känslomässiga nivån förutsatt att uppmaningarna är kopplade till ungdomens mer eller mindre implicita känslor. Känslor uttrycks i lägre grad vid individuella samtal med ungdomen. Diskussion: De enskilda interventionerna uppfattades inte vara det viktigaste för arbetet med fördjupning av känslor i denna terapi. Snarare var det att skapa ett gemensamt mål för arbete kring de känsloladdade teman som formulerats i terapin vilket är i linje med terapins intentioner. Studiens resultat kan sägas understryka vikten av väl genomarbetade allianssamtal med såväl ungdom som föräldrar för att möjliggöra känslomässiga uttryck hos ungdomen tillsammans med föräldrar. / Introduction: The goal of Attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) is to create a stronger attachment between adolescents and their parents through youth disclosure of emotions related to attachment failures. The focus of this study is on the therapeutic work with emotions. Research question: Which therapist interventions contribute to the emotional expression of the adolescent in ABFT? Method: In this qualitative case-study a number of videotaped sessions of an ABFT have been observed and analyzed in order to determine which therapist interventions precede emotional arousal. Results: When the therapist asks or encourages the adolescent disclosure of the well prepared core conflict themes, and at the same time supports the parents in empathic responses and questions, it is possible to see an increase in youth emotional arousal as long as the interventions involves the adolescents more or less implicit emotions. There was almost no emotional arousal in the sessions where the adolescent was alone without parents. Discussion: Most important for an increase in emotional arousal was not single therapist interventions, but instead the collaborative work with the family to create a shared goal for the therapy centered on the emotionally loaded core conflicts. The results seem to underline the importance of thoroughly worked throw alliance sessions with both parents and adolescent.

Génération de parole expressive dans le cas des langues à tons

De plus en plus, l'interaction entre personne et machine se rapproche du naturel afin de ressembler à l'interaction entre humains, incluant l'expressivité (en particulier les émotions et les attitudes). Dans la communication parlée, les attitudes, et plus généralement les affects sociaux, sont véhiculés principalement par la prosodie. Pour les langues tonales, la prosodie est utilisée aussi pour coder l'information sémantique dans les variations de tons. Ce travail de thèse présente une étude des affects sociaux du vietnamien, une langue à tons et une langue peu dotée, afin d'appliquer les résultats obtenus à un système de synthèse de haute qualité capable de produire la parole " expressive " pour le vietnamien. Le premier travail de cette thèse consiste en la construction du premier corpus audio-visuel des attitudes vietnamiennes, qui contient seize attitudes. Ce corpus est ensuite utilisé pour étudier la perception audio-visuelle et interculturelle des attitudes vietnamiennes. Pour cela, une série de tests perceptifs a été effectuée avec des auditeurs natifs et non-natifs (des auditeurs francophones pour les non-natifs). Les résultats de ces tests montrent que les facteurs influant sur la perception des attitudes sont l'expression de l'attitude elle-même et la modalité de présentation (audio, visuelle et audio-visuelle). Ces résultats nous ont ainsi permis de trouver des affects sociaux communs ou interculturels entre le vietnamien et le français. Puis, un autre test de perception a été réalisé sur des phrases avec tons afin d'explorer l'effet du système tonal du vietnamien sur la perception des attitudes. Les résultats montrent que les juges non-natifs peuvent traiter et séparer les indices tonals locaux et les traits saillants prosodiques de portée globale. Après une présentation de nos études sur les affects sociaux en vietnamien, nous décrivons notre modélisation de la prosodie des attitudes en vue de la synthèse de la parole expressive en vietnamien. En nous basant sur le modèle de superposition des contours fonctionnels, nous proposons une méthode pour modéliser et générer de la prosodie expressive en vietnamien. Cette méthode est ensuite appliquée pour générer de la parole expressive en vietnamien, puis évaluée par des tests de perception sur les énoncés synthétiques. Les résultats de perception valident bien la performance de notre modèle et confirment que l'approche de superposition de contours fonctionnels peut être utilisée pour modéliser une prosodie complexe comme dans le cas de la parole expressive d'une langue à tons.

Loving the nature, searching for a physical contact with it, spending energy and money to go through it and experience extraordinary feelings are all elements of the modern cultural weft. Tourists at the GR20 (Corsica) and at the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brazil) inherited from the history of the idea of nature, from the history of the individual and from the history of free time in western civilization. They are moved by the desire of nature, which is worked out in the urban routine, and which emergence conditions are similar in both countries. However, the features of the « hiking ritual » in each of these places change according to their social structures and their « national myths ». In one hand, we can see how French tourists in Corsica experience and act the « myth of the individual » (Miguel Benasayag), fulfilled by equality and autonomy values. On the other hand, Brazilian tourists perform a hierarchical social scene, which places them between the guide who serves them and the natural divinity that overwhelms them. In both cases, a political question can be asked: does the feeling of nature hide and legitimate a « selective democracy » (Jessé Souza) that is connected to a depoliticization of nature as raw material ? / Cette recherche s’articule autour d’une hypothèse structurante : le sentiment de nature qui motive les randonneurs est un sentiment urbain. Aimer la nature, rechercher un contact physique avec elle, dépenser énergie et argent pour la parcourir et éprouver des sentiments extra-ordinaires, sont des actes qui s’inscrivent dans une trame culturelle moderne. Les excursionnistes du GR20 (Corse) et de la Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brésil) sont héritiers d’une histoire de l’idée de nature, d’une histoire de l’individu et d’une histoire du temps libre. Ils sont mus par un désir de nature, qui s’élabore dans le quotidien urbain, et dont les conditions pratiques d’émergence sont comparables. Mais la forme que prend le « rituel excursif » dans chacune des deux localités varie en fonction de structures sociales et de « mythes nationaux » distincts. On observe ainsi que les randonneurs français vivent avec force le « mythe de l’individu » (Miguel Benasayag), égalitariste et autonomiste, et que les randonneurs brésiliens performent une scène sociale hiérarchisée, qui les situe entre le guide qui les sert et la nature divinisée qui les dépasse. Dans les deux cas, une question politique peut être posée : le sentiment de nature n’a-t-il pas pour fonction impensée de masquer et de légitimer une « démocratie sélective » (Jessé Souza), qui s’articule à une dépolitisation du rapport à la nature-matière première ?

Embora todo o conjunto que compõe a obra do autor de Infância tenha sido investigado, foram escolhidos, para esse intento, os romances Caetés, São Bernardo, Angústia e Vidas Secas. Nestas narrativas, constatamos que os narradores fazem referência freqüentemente ao ato de ler e aos seus desdobramentos, levando-nos a compreender que este expediente estético desempenha funções significativas para o tecido romanesco de Graciliano e para a caracterização de suas personagens como indivíduos fortemente marcados pelo exercício de várias formas de afetividade. Dessa forma, reconhecemos que há, nas obras mencionadas, uma espécie de poética da leitura, incluindo o exercício desta e sua recepção, através da qual é possível recompormos os passos de seu desenvolvimento: a busca pelo domínio da linguagem e a leitura de mundo de Fabiano, em Vidas Secas; a aprendizagem do ato de ler de Paulo Honório, em São Bernardo; a leitura de romances franceses feita pelas personagens de Caetés e a leitura da subjetividade, voltada para a esfera dos afetos, realizada, inclusive, a partir do exercício da escrita metalingüística dos narradores João Valério, Paulo Honório e Luís da Silva. / Ce travail consiste à analyser les pratiques de lecture developpées par les personnages du texte fictionnel de l’écrivain Graciliano Ramos. Bien que l’ensemble qui compose l’œuvre de l’auteur de l’Infância ait été enquêté, cette recherche porte sur les romans Caetés, São Bernardo, Angústia et Vidas Secas. Dans ces narratives, nous avons constaté que les narrateurs font fréquemment référence à l’acte de lire et à ses déploiements, nous amenant à comprendre que cet expédient esthétique joue des fonctions significatives pour la texture romanesque de Graciliano Ramos et pour la caractérisation de ses personnages comme des individus fortement marqués par l’exercice de plusieurs formes d’affectivité.De cette façon, nous reconnaissons qu’il y a, dans les œuvres mentionnées, une sorte de poétique de la lecture, y compris son exercice et sa réception, par laquelle c’est possible de refaire les pas de son développement: la recherche par le domaine du langage et la lecture de monde de Fabiano, dans Vidas Secas; l’apprentissage de l’acte de lire de Paulo Honário, dans São Bernardo; la lecture de romans français fait par les personnages de Caetés et la lecture de la subjectivité, retournée vers le domaine des affects, réalisée aussi bien qu’à partir de l’exercice de l’écriture métalinguistique des narrateurs João Valério, Paulo Honório et Luís da Silva.

Este estudo é uma pesquisa qualitativa, baseada na prática pessoal com palhaçaria nos grupos Cia Buffa de Teatro e ViaPalco. Para tanto, faz-se uma análise de diferentes processos de iniciação e treinamento com o fim de vislumbrar algumas possibilidades de construção desses estados no corpo do ator. O estudo realizado chega à definição de quatro princípios que estão contidos e, ao mesmo tempo, conectados com o conceito de estado de palhaço: a lógica a posteriori, o jogo e a improvisação e o jogo de afetos. Em um segundo momento, é feito um relato das experiências realizadas com o palhaço no teatro e na rua, com o fim de investigar as conexões entre palhaço-espaço-público. Sua relevância advém da possibilidade de ampliar e aprofundar as pesquisas com relação à palhaçaria e ao tema do estado de palhaço, especificamente. Os resultados obtidos revelam o estado do ator/palhaço como parte de uma tríade que inclui espaço e público. / ABSTRACT This dissertation aims an analyses regarding clown´s altered states of consciousness and presence, searching to understands it´s concept, ways of reach it and how does it express itself in the scene, based on the relationship between the space and the public. This study is a qualitative research, based on personal practice as a clown on the groups Cia Buffa Theatre and ViaPalco. For this reason, analysis the different processes of initiation and training in order to estabilish a few possibilities of construction from this states in the actors´s body. The study achieves four definition of the principles that are contained, and at the same time, connected, with the states of clowns concept: the a posteriori logic, the Play and Improvisations and the Affections Games. In a second moment, a report is made based on the clown´s experiences in the theatre as well in the street, intending to probe the connections bettween Space-Clown-Audience. Its relevance comes from the possibility to expandes and extend the clown´s research and also the theme state of clown, specifically. The results points out that, the state of the actor /clown, is part of a triad that contains space and audience.

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro / Este trabalho busca investigar as condições de produção dos saberes psicológicos contidos nas teses de doutoramento da Faculdade de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro no século XIX. Tal meta visa, a partir de conceitos diversos, obter os princípios norteadores das obras dos futuros doutores, tomando como ponto de partida o seu contexto sócio-cultural. Dois conceitos, no entanto, serão privilegiados: os de paixão e afeto. Estes são conceitos que surgem em diversas teses, principalmente naquelas da primeira metade do séulo XIX período da maior parte das teses selecionadas nesta ocasião. Uma das principais questões levantadas diz respeito à maneira como os autores das teses elaboram seus trabalhos: utilizam-se das mais diversas referências para que possam corroborar aquilo que propõem em seus trabalhos. Assim, freqüentemente recorrem a textos de autores consagrados mesmo que, por vezes, não haja concordância entre os autores escolhidos. Os conteúdos utilizados são díspares, mas, como são aparentemente concordantes com o que os médicos produzem, são apropriados por estes. Esta apropriação vem a ser discutida a partir do trabalho de Michel de Certeau. Também vemos alguns elementos das teses sofrerem transformações, num trabalho de bricolagem, tal como propõe Claude Lévi-Strauss. É inegável que a apropriação e a bricolagem vão além do que se verifica nas obras de Certeau e Lévi-Strauss: estes se referem à cultura popular quando tratam daqueles temas, mas ao fazer uma incursão pelos escritos das teses, pode-se perceber que os mesmos fenômenos são característicos também de materiais que estão além do que geralmente se chama de cultura popular, haja vista que teses de medicina não poderiam ser interpretadas como tal. Sendo o período pesquisado uma época em que a psicologia ainda não se constituiu como ciência, os trabalhos médicos tornam-se instrumentos privilegiados de difusão de saberes psicológicos. Fazem parte de um material que impulsiona a produção de conhecimento sobre o homem em seus aspectos individuais, culturais, sociais, psicológicos, indo além das discussões fisiológicas e orgânicas. Embora estas estejam presentes, formam um conjunto com o qual os autores das teses buscam verificar as vicissitudes humanas. Para realizar este estudo foi necessária uma pesquisa documental, onde as teses servem como fontes primárias para a execução do trabalho. Através da análise dos temas e termos constantes das teses, pretende-se constituir um mapa sobre o qual torna-se possível articular as idéias veiculadas nas teses com o contexto sócio-cultural em que são produzidos os materiais dos escritos dos médicos / This work aims to investigate the conditions of production of the psychological knowledges contained in the receiving of doctoral degree theses of the Faculdade de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro in the XIX Century. Such goal proposes, from different concepts, to obtain the guiding lines of the works of the future doctors taking as point of departure its sociocultural context. Two concepts, however, will be privileged: those of passion and affect. These are concepts that arise on various theses, especially in those at the first half of the XIX Century period of most of the theses selected on this occasion. One of the main questions arised is related to the way the authors of the theses elaborate their works: they use the most different references in order to corroborate what they propose on their works: they utilize the most varied references, so that they can corroborate what they propose in their works. So, they frequently make use of texts of renowned authors even if, sometimes, there is no concordance among the chosen authors. The contents used are unequal, but as they are apparently concordant with what the medical doctors produce, they are appropriated by them. This appropriation is discussed from the work of Michel de Certeau on. We also see some elements of the theses suffering transformations, on a bricolage work, as proposed by Claude Lévi-Strauss. It is undeniable that the appropriation and the bricolage go far beyond what is verified on the works of de Certeau and Lévi-Strauss: these ones refer to popular culture when deal with those themes, but making an incursion through the writings of the theses, one can perceive that the same phenomena are also characteristic of materials that are beyond what is generally called popular culture, since that Medicine theses could not be interpreted as such. Considering that the researched period is an epoch that Psychology still had not been constituted as a science, the medical works become privileged instruments of diffusion of psychological knowledges. They are part of an apparatus that impulses the production of knowledge related to the Man in its individual, cultural, social and psychological aspects, going beyond the physiological and organic discussions. Although these are present, they form a group on which the authors of the theses seek to verify the human vicissitudes. To accomplish this research it was necessary a documental research, where the theses serve as primary sources for the execution of the work. Through the analysis of the constant themes and terms of the theses, it is intended to constitute a map in which becomes possible to articulate the ideas broadcasted in the theses with the sociocultural context in which are produced the materials of the writings of the medical doctors

It is undeniable that the appropriation and the bricolage go far beyond what is verified on the works of de Certeau and Lévi-Strauss: these ones refer to popular culture when deal with those themes, but making an incursion through the writings of the theses, one can perceive that the same phenomena are also characteristic of materials that are beyond what is generally called popular culture, since that Medicine theses could not be interpreted as such. Considering that the researched period is an epoch that Psychology still had not been constituted as a science, the medical works become privileged instruments of diffusion of psychological knowledges. They are part of an apparatus that impulses the production of knowledge related to the Man in its individual, cultural, social and psychological aspects, going beyond the physiological and organic discussions. Although these are present, they form a group on which the authors of the theses seek to verify the human vicissitudes. To accomplish this research it was necessary a documental research, where the theses serve as primary sources for the execution of the work. Through the analysis of the constant themes and terms of the theses, it is intended to constitute a map in which becomes possible to articulate the ideas broadcasted in the theses with the sociocultural context in which are produced the materials of the writings of the medical doctors

Through relations between the researcher’s daily life, urban visualities and meetings with other inhabitants of the neighborhood in which she resided during her doctorate, she produces learning narratives in which image and text dialog and complement themselves. Mobilizing percepts by the action of photographing, some visualities surpass the author’s singularities, becoming Excesses that provoke new thoughts. As a recently arrived outsider, she learns by these excesses at every moment that she turns to see, to think, to listen, to speak and to write about the images/narratives she produces. Between urban interventions and talks with the inhabitants, triggered affects provoke other glances about the city and about researching, configuring multiple paths of learning that are always in process. / Esta pesquisa explora aprendizagens em devir de percursos cotidianos realizados no entorno de um bairro da cidade de Goiânia (GO). A partir das relações entre o cotidiano da pesquisadora, visualidades urbanas e encontros com outros moradores no entorno do bairro onde ela residiu durante o doutorado, são produzidas narrativas aprendentes nas quais imagens e textos dialogam e se complementam. Ao mobilizar perceptos pela ação de fotografar, algumas visualidades ultrapassam as singularidades da autora, tornando-se excessos provocadores de novos pensamentos. Como uma forasteira recém chegada, aprende com esses excessos a cada momento que torna a ver, pensar, ouvir, falar e escrever sobre as imagens/narrativas que produz. Entre intervenções urbanas e conversas com moradores são disparados afectos que provocam outros olhares sobre a cidade e sobre fazer pesquisa, configurando múltiplos percursos de aprendizagem sempre em processo.

Cette recherche s’articule autour d’une hypothèse structurante : le sentiment de nature qui motive les randonneurs est un sentiment urbain. Aimer la nature, rechercher un contact physique avec elle, dépenser énergie et argent pour la parcourir et éprouver des sentiments extra-ordinaires, sont des actes qui s’inscrivent dans une trame culturelle moderne. Les excursionnistes du GR20 (Corse) et de la Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brésil) sont héritiers d’une histoire de l’idée de nature, d’une histoire de l’individu et d’une histoire du temps libre. Ils sont mus par un désir de nature, qui s’élabore dans le quotidien urbain, et dont les conditions pratiques d’émergence sont comparables. Mais la forme que prend le « rituel excursif » dans chacune des deux localités varie en fonction de structures sociales et de « mythes nationaux » distincts. On observe ainsi que les randonneurs français vivent avec force le « mythe de l’individu » (Miguel Benasayag), égalitariste et autonomiste, et que les randonneurs brésiliens performent une scène sociale hiérarchisée, qui les situe entre le guide qui les sert et la nature divinisée qui les dépasse. Dans les deux cas, une question politique peut être posée : le sentiment de nature n’a-t-il pas pour fonction impensée de masquer et de légitimer une « démocratie sélective » (Jessé Souza), qui s’articule à une dépolitisation du rapport à la nature- matière première ? / This research is articulated around a founding hypothesis: the feeling of nature that motivates the hikers is an urban feeling. Loving the nature, searching for a physical contact with it, spending energy and money to go through it and experience extraordinary feelings are all elements of the modern cultural weft. Tourists at the GR20 (Corsica) and at the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brazil) inherited from the history of the idea of nature, from the history of the individual and from the history of free time in western civilization. They are moved by the desire of nature, which is worked out in the urban routine, and which emergence conditions are similar in both countries. However, the features of the « hiking ritual » in each of these places change according to their social structures and their « national myths ». In one hand, we can see how French tourists in Corsica experience and act the « myth of the individual » (Miguel Benasayag), fulfilled by equality and autonomy values. On the other hand, Brazilian tourists perform a hierarchical social scene, which places them between the guide who serves them and the natural divinity that overwhelms them. In both cases, a political question can be asked: does the feeling of nature hide and legitimate a « selective democracy » (Jessé Souza) that is connected to a depoliticization of nature as raw material ?

Poétique et politique de l’ennui dans la danse et le cinéma d’Yvonne Rainer / The poetics and politics of boredom in Yvonne Rainer's dance and film

Danse, performance, cinéma, écrits théoriques et poétiques : dans la multiplicité de sa création artistique et intellectuelle, Yvonne Rainer s’impose comme une artiste cardinale dans l’histoire de l’art. Instigatrice du changement de paradigme postmoderne en danse, elle arrache le geste ordinaire à la vie quotidienne pour le placer au cœur de la création chorégraphique, en radicale juxtaposition avec des textes, des images et des objets. À partir des années 1970, elle émerge parmi les figures centrales du cinéma expérimental et indépendant en dialogue avec les théories et les luttes politiques féministes, queer et postcoloniales. Cette thèse explore la place de la subjectivité et de l’émotion dans la danse et le cinéma de Rainer. En effet celle-ci a impulsé un renouvellement radical du matériau affectif dans la pratique artistique en l’envisageant comme un fait, une réalité objective. Dans un contexte où l’ennui agit comme un style affectif dominant au sein de l’avant-garde artistique américaine après 1945, l’artiste propose une expérience matérielle sensible, générant une conscience décuplée du temps et plaçant son public dans cette disposition affective à la fois pesante, froide et ordinaire. Puis, en résonance avec le cinéma des femmes, elle investit l’ennui à la fois comme une dynamique de subjectivation et comme une stratégie de subversion. En naviguant entre les dimensions individuelles et collectives de l’émotion, la thèse explore les enjeux esthétiques, politiques et subjectifs de l’ennui dans l’œuvre de Rainer. / The multiplicity of Yvonne Rainer’s art and intellectual works - in dance, performance, film, theoretic and poetic writings - makes her one of the essential artists in the history of art. As instigator of the post-modern paradigm shift in the dance scene, she pulled out movements from everyday life and put them at the core of her choreographic work, creating a radical juxtaposition to texts, pictures and objects. In the seventies, she became one of the main figures of experimental and independent cinema. Her polyphonic and reflexive cinematographic works entered in a dialogue with feminist, queer and postcolonial theories and struggles. The present thesis explores the notion of subjectivity and emotion in the film and dance of Rainer. Indeed, she has given the impulse for a radical renewal of the use of emotional material, which she considered as a given fact and an objective reality, in the artistic practice. In a context where boredom imposed itself as the dominant emotional style in the American artistic avant-garde after 1945, the artist offered a sensitive material experience. In particular, she created an acute conscience of time and put her audience in a specific emotional disposition, boredom, that can be described as tedious, cold and ordinary altogether. Then, in echo with women’s cinema, she explored boredom both as a process of subjectivation and as a strategy of subversion. Navigating between individual and collective dimensions, this research explores the aesthetic, political and personal stakes around the expression of boredom in Yvonne Rainer’s work.
