To work as a professor has a key influence for Silvia s thoughts and ideas. She has often been criticism of the psychology with American influence, as well as in relation to the classic methods of teaching in Brazil. The PUC-SP institution where she works for forty years provides her a freedom and an open environment that enhance her way. In order to study Silvia s publications and live had been used personal documents, books, interviews and biographies made by other authors. The personal documents found in the Núcleo de Estudos em História da Psicologia-NEHPSI give us an important contribution for our conclusions and show her strong image as a professor and scientist in Brazil and abroad. The analysis of Silvia s productions demonstrates a strong relationship among the socio historic environment and her ideas over the course of lifetime work. In order to analyze Silvia s thoughts and ideas has a key importance a non-edit text named My way wrote before her death with the intention to prepare a book with a collection of writings published or not, which ones was difficult to achieve. This text allows us to understand the structure given by her to her own thoughts. We discovered that the language psychology, the theoretical bases for a Brazilian social psychology, the community psychology, the studies concerning the process to become a group and the emotional mediation, represents subjects that have been present throughout the course of her life s generating researches, texts, courses and presentations. Time pass and new views and considerations have been added to these themes. The work was not finished before her death living space for other texts and studies in future / Nosso propósito ao elaborar esta tese é contribuir com o estudo da Psicologia Social no Brasil, mostrando que Silvia Tatiana Maurer Lane (1933-2006) teve importância relevante na formulação das bases teóricas de uma Psicologia Social Brasileira, adotada por psicólogos sociais, professores e pesquisadores. A atividade docente foi fundamental para a formação do pensamento da intelectual respeitada, tendo se desenvolvido por meio de uma postura crítica, permanente, à psicologia social de influência americana e aos métodos tradicionais de ensino. A PUC de São Paulo, instituição na qual trabalhou durante quarenta anos, proporcionou à Silvia um ambiente de liberdade intelectual que favoreceu o seu trajeto. Escolhemos para estudar a autora um caminho ainda não trilhado por outros pesquisadores que falaram a respeito da ilustre professora, conduzindo a nossa pesquisa, em especial, a partir dos documentos pessoais encontrados no acervo deixado na PUC de São Paulo sob a guarda do Núcleo de Estudos em História da Psicologia-NEHPSI, além de livros, entrevistas e biografias escritas por outros autores. A análise do percurso de Silvia nos mostrou conexões importantes entre o seu trabalho e o contexto sócio-histórico e revelaram o prestígio da professora no Brasil e no exterior. Para o estudo das ideias, tomamos por base um texto ainda não publicado, denominado: Caminhos percorridos , escrito pouco tempo antes da sua morte e cuja finalidade era preparar uma coletânea dos seus textos, publicados ou não, mas de difícil acesso. A leitura nos permitiu entender a estrutura dada por ela ao seu próprio pensamento. Constamos que a psicologia da linguagem, as bases teóricas para formulação de uma psicologia social brasileira, a psicologia comunitária, o processo grupal e a mediação emocional são temas que estão presentes ao longo de toda a obra, gerando pesquisas, textos, cursos e apresentações, recebendo ao longo do tempo, novos olhares e releituras que fizeram avançar a compreensão dos temas. A obra não se encerra com a sua morte, deixando espaço para novos estudos e textos a serem produzidos

The aesthetics of curating : exhibition-making after the conceptual turn

The thesis examines the evolving realtions of the aesthetic and conceptual aspects in exhibition-making after the 'conceptual turn' that took place in the late-1960s and instigated key transformations in the aesthetic condition of art and contemporary curatorial practice. Drawing on a broadly construed and variously manifested conceptualism pervading the growing field of curating since 1990s, the thesis focuses on investigating the relation between the aestheti and conceptual dimensions of three exhibitions that have had a significant impact on the postconceptual development of curating. In doing so, it aims to construct an alternative genealogy that reaffirms the significance of the aesthetic element, and so to reconstruct curatorial practice from the perspective of an Aesthetics of Curating. This trajectory unfolds a non-unitary Curatorial Aesthetics that emerges and develops together with the conceptual shift offering a revisionist perspective to dominant practices and discourses today that tend to devalue or repress aesthetic modes of production. The driving force of the thesis is neither to affirm aestheticism nor simply reversing the received positions. Instead, the investigation of aesthetics - as the poetics of an exhibition and a philosophical understanding of the experience offered - provides a reading that contests the emphasis placed upon conceptualism in order to revise those relations and established assumptions, and enable us to understand contemporary aspects of curating that have been downgraded. The thesis focuses on three case-studies, which mark important shifts in the conceptual development of curating from 1969 to 2007: When Attitudes Become Form: Works-Processes-Concepts-Situations-Information (Live in Your Head), curated by Harald Szeemann. Kunsthalle Bern (1969); Les Immateriaux, co-curated by Jean-Francois Lotard and Thierry Chaput, Centre George Pompidou, Paris (1985); Documenta 12, under the artistic directorship of Roger Buergel and chief curatorship of Ruth Noack, Kassel (2007). By exploring the different ways in which these exhibitions accommodate, engage with, and define aesthetic experience in relation to their conceptual modes, the study provides an alternative account of Curatorial Aesthetics that attains its transformative potential and political efficacy in the present through the invention of new sensations that incite new modes of thinking and acting.

[pt] A Teologia da Criança é o campo de pesquisa que tem como sujeito teológico o ser humano de pouca idade e denuncia o adultocentrismo como estrutura de opressão. O centro de toda construção teológica se estabelece ao redor e a partir da figura da criança. A pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre a experiência de Deus e a valorização da infância, sinalizando a existência de uma ligação estreita entre um e outro. A experiência com o Mistério ganha novos contornos a partir da mística singular das crianças, bem como a infância adquire novas cores a partir da revelação desse Mistério em Jesus Cristo. Os pequeninos são a parábola que as Escrituras utilizam para falar sobre Deus, a vida cristã e os vulneráveis desse mundo, transcendendo assim a razão, a instituição e o consumo como lógica adultocentrica e propondo a mística, a liberdade e a generosidade como alternativa para se fazer como criança. Os adultos podem e devem reconhecer nas crianças um caminho para a experiência real de Deus. / [en] Theology of the child is the research field which has as theological subject the earlier-phases human beings and which denounced the adultcentrism as an oppression structure. The core of all theological construction is established around and from the figure of a child. The research has as its main objective to analyze the relation between experiencing God and the appreciation of childhood, pointing out the existence of a close relationship between them. The experience with Mystery assumes new perspectives through the peculiar, mystic worldview of the children. Also, childhood acquires new colors through the revelation of this Mystery in Jesus Christ. The little ones are the parable which are used by Scriptures to talk about God, Christian life and the vulnerable people of this world, transcending as such the reason, the institution and the consumption as adultcentric logic and proposing the mysticism, freedom and generosity as an alternative to become like children. Adults can and should recognize in children a way to really experiencing God.

Cooperative Apocalypse : Hostile Geological Forces in N. K. Jemisin’s The Broken Earth Trilogy

In this thesis I explore the place of the human in the Anthropocene, and our relationship to the Earth through an analysis of N. K. Jemisin’s The Broken Earth trilogy. As the trilogy depicts an apocalyptic landscape where the Earth has sentience and humanity is divided into three subspecies, this work of speculative fiction lends itself well to be interrogated and examined as an allegory for our current climate crisis. The analysis is anchored in posthumanism and employs a variety of concepts, such as Bruno Latour’s work on agency and deanimation, Donna Haraway’s Chthulucene, and Amitav Ghosh’s work on speculative fiction among others. I argue that The Broken Earth trilogy illustrates that the Earth is an agentive network that can no longer be ignored and contend that the trilogy complicates both anthropocentrism and individualism by depicting amplified versions of human beings, and in doing so highlights the arbitrary boundaries between both nature and society, and human and nonhuman. Thus, The Broken Earth trilogy can be read as a warning call for a future to be avoided at all costs, while concurrently be used to make sense of the incomprehensibility of our contemporary era.

本論文旨在重新思考人與動物之間的倫理關係,企圖擺脫西方哲學傳統之下人類中心的立場。透過哈洛威《同伴物種宣言》與《當物種相遇》中同伴物種的概念來閱讀馬泰爾的《少年Pi的奇幻漂流》,這樣的倫理關係得以透過建基於「關係性」上而實現,而非以西方哲學傳統下的人/動物之二元對立為基礎。在這樣的倫理關係中,人與動物在會面時透過「回視」達到溝通。也在會面中,人與動物與彼此「成為共在」,並且共同形塑彼此的主體性。此外,《少年Pi的奇幻漂流》中可見擬人化的口吻敘述老虎理查‧帕克的故事,本文將解釋在這種擬人化中可以看見同伴物種倫理的實踐。 本論文由五個章節組成。第一章包含《少年Pi的奇幻漂流》相關評論,並回顧西方哲學傳統之下人與動物的關係。第二章意圖闡明在哈洛威脈絡之中同伴物種的概念,尤其是「關係性」和「成為共在」。透過檢視Pi和理查‧帕克在救生船上的種種細節,本文認為Pi和理查‧帕克的關係可被視為同伴物種的關係。第三章聚焦在「回視」的動作,作為同伴物種間建立雙向溝通的方式。本文也將透過「回視」深入分析Pi和理查‧帕克溝通上的(不)可能性。第四章將《少年Pi的奇幻漂流》中兩個版本的故事讀為兩種動物敘事的並置。兩者皆從擬人化的角度去敘事,但是其中一個版本透露出同伴物種倫理的實踐,另一個版本則回歸到傳統人類中心式的解讀。第五章為本文之總結,主張蘊含同伴物種倫理的動物敘事能夠幫助我們理解如何透過關注生活中真實存在的動物去重新思考人與動物之間的關係。 / The thesis aims to rethink an ethical relationship between humans and animals that is separated from the anthropocentric stance in the Western philosophical traditions. Reading Yann Martel’s Life of Pi in light of the ethics of companion species in Donna Haraway’s The Companion Manifesto and When Species Meet, I would like to contend that this ethical relationship take shape while it is founded on relationality, instead of the human/animal dichotomy. Acts of respect need to be exerted by human and animal participants when they meet. And in the meeting, they become with each other in the relationship in which their subjectivities are co-constituted by each other. The narrative of Pi living with Richard Parker employs a kind of anthropomorphism endowed with ethics of companion species. This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One is a review of research on criticism of Life of Pi and discussions of human/animal relationships in the Western philosophical framework. Chapter Two aims to elucidate the concepts of companion species in Haraway’s context, including relationality and becoming-with. By examining the details in Pi and Richard Parker’s life on the lifeboat, I argue that they are in a companion-species relationship. Chapter Three focuses on the act of respect, the practice for the companion species to evoke mutual responses. The (im)possible communication between Pi and Richard Parker will be analyzed. Chapter Four reads the two versions of the story of Life of Pi as a juxtaposition of two kinds of animal narratives. Both told from anthropomorphic perspective, the story with the animals is registered with ethics of companion species while the story without animal returns to the traditional anthropocentric interpretation. Finally in Chapter Five, I conclude that animal narrative that is entailed with ethics of companion species enables us to rethink the human/animal relationship by attending to real animals which are physically beside us.

本文係為探討婚姻法學研究對西歐於文藝復興、宗教改革以及婚姻還俗運動前之婚姻法沿空白所撰。並以「世俗」及「教會」兩個角度切入,依照「羅馬帝國」(西元1-476年)、「初代教會」(1-500年)、「中世紀初期」(500-1000年)、復興改革時期(1000-1200年)之歷史沿革,探討今日婚姻法中諸如婚姻之本質、婚姻之成立、婚姻障礙、婚姻成立後之權利義務及婚姻之解消等制度之由來與發展。 首先,在羅馬帝國方面。按此時期之羅馬婚姻法對「嫁妝」著墨最多,似可顯示羅馬婚姻之重點乃在婚姻締結後對男方家族財產之重新分配,而非單純身分關係之新設、連結與延伸。在此同時,亦可察見自西元一世紀起,源自聖經之教會婚姻觀,強調婚姻之本質係「丈夫與妻子連合,兩人成為一體」之「兩人一體」關係,婚姻之成立係儀式婚,成立後,丈夫與妻子需秉持「愛與順服」彼此相待,且因婚姻為「神所結合,所以人不能分開」而衍生出婚姻不可解消之基本信念。 進入中世紀初期,「神本」之婚姻觀雖藉由散落各地之教會而廣為傳播,然而,對上層王公貴族,即使有如法蘭西之卡洛琳王朝般,與教會關係良好之政權,但一般上層階級,為維護其家族利益,繼承財產與個人私慾,對「兩人一體」之婚姻觀與「婚姻不解消」主義,仍是敬謝不敏,至多於犯罪後前住教會懺悔認罪,或在晚年進入修道院度此餘生。故中世紀初期之聖俗婚姻觀影響結果,係呈現「下聖上俗」之光景。 經歷過千禧年後,整個西歐來說似可稱為進入一個「復興改革時期」。在婚姻規範方面,或因教會改革奏效,民心歸向,且部分國王亦完全服膺教會婚姻規範,故上層階級之婚姻亦逐漸展現「由俗入聖」之趨。在婚姻法制方面,則在1140年左右由格拉濟亞,藉由教會法制史首見之科學分析方式,交出名為「不和諧教會法之調合」(Concordia discordantium canonum, A Harmony of Conflicting Canons)之法令集(Decretum),其內之婚姻法案例堪稱教會婚姻法一千多年來之結晶,堪稱為西歐婚姻法制化之源頭。 綜上,本研究發現今日婚姻法之法制起源,並非僅源自於十六世紀之法國民法,而係早在十二世紀之教會婚姻法中便可窺見其萌芽之蹤影,而今日婚姻法中受教會婚姻法影響者,亦非如一般教科書所稱僅「婚姻不解消」一端,而係包括「意思婚」、「一夫一妻制」及「異性婚」,並且禁止「重婚」、「內婚」均直接或間接受十二世紀教會婚姻法之影響。 / Abstract The study was to explore the vacant development of marriage legal history before Renaissance, Religious Reformation and marriage returned to secular(movement de la sécularization du marriage) in Western Europe. Based on the four periods of history including “Roman Empire”(A.D1~A.D476),“the early church” (A.D1~A.D500), “Middle Age(A.D500~A.D1000)”, “the period of renew and reform (A.D1000~A.D1200)”, the study explored the origin and the development of today’s marriage law such as the essence, establishment, obstacle of the marriage, the right and obligation after getting marriage, and the dissolution of marriage, etc. At first, the law of marriage in Roman Empire was established on “Dos’’(dowry) a lot. It showed that the main focus of Roman marriage was on re-allotting the properties of the male’s family instead of simply reconstituting connecting and extending two persons’ relationship after getting marriage. Meanwhile from the first century, the law of marriage in the Church derived from Holy Bible emphasized the essence of marriage on the relationship of “two will became one flesh” in “A man will be united to his wife and they will become on flesh”. And through a ceremony, the marriage was established. After the ceremony, husband and wife should treat each other with love and obedience. Moreover ,the basic conviction of no dissolution after of the marriage was derived from that the marriage was established on the belief “what God has joined together ,let man not separate”. During Middle Age (A.D 500~ A.D 1000), although the churches which spread over everyplace disseminated extensively the concept of “marriage rooted in God”, the upper class of society still didn’t approve the marriage concept of “two will become one flesh” and the conviction of no dissolution of the marriage, since they wanted to safeguard their family benefits, inherit properties, and satisfy their personal desire. Even like Carolingain dynasty in France which maintained good relationship with the Church was also in the same position. The upper class most went to the church and confessed their sin after committing crime, or spent the rest of their elder life in the abbey. As a result , the marriage of the lower class was holy and the upper class was secular showed during Middle Age. To Western Europe, after millennium seemed to be called the period of renew and reformation. (A.D 1000~ A.D 1200). Since reformation in the Church showed results , the public attitude was for the Church, and some kings completely obeyed the marriage regulations of the Church, the marriage in the upper class also gradually displayed from secular to holy tendency. On the marriage legal system, Gratian composed a Decretum named “Concordia discordantium canonnum, A Harmony of Conflicting Canons” in A.D.1140 . The Causae of Decretum was recognized as the excellent piece of Church one thousand years age and the origin of marriage legal system in Western Europe. The study found that the origin of today’s marriage legal system was not only derived from French Civil Law in the sixteenth century, but from marriage law in the Church in the twelfth century, And marriage law of the church in the twelfth century impacted today’s marriage law in many aspects. The influence was not only limited on the conviction of no dissolution action of the marriage as the common textbooks declared so, but directly or indirectly on the conviction of “ consensual marriage” ,“monogamy”, and on forbidding “ plural bigamy marriage” and “consanguine marriage.

Silence, voice and power are the main themes in this essay. The purpose is to analyze how the silence is used as an instrument for control, and how it can be used strategically to take power, but also as a resistance against the power. The novel The Vegetarian by Han Kang and the autobiography novel on verse, brown girl dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson are the core of this essay. This essay focuses on how the characters break the silence, and how they use the silence strategically to find their voice in a society that systematically works to keep women, children and men silent.      The silence works in specific ways in all kinds of situations, to explore the complexity of the power dimensions a comparative analysis allows the themes to emerge and enlighten each other’s diversity. With help from Rebecca Solnit in Alla frågors moder, Audre Lorde in Your silence will not protect you and Michel Foucault’s Diskursens ordning, among other voices, the essay aims to search for how the silence can work as a strategy and what it means to speak. The essay shows how the oppressing silence is broken in brown girl dreaming, and how the voice becomes the power, but also how the silence was used in the African-American Civil Rights Movement as an act of resistance. The essays also analyze the female main character in The Vegetarian, who makes a journey from an oppressed woman where the patriarchal men violate her silence and forcing her to speak, to an existence where silence, life and growth thrives.     The silence has its own language and sometimes, it’s louder than words.

Monitoramento dos efeitos ecológicos e socioeconômicos da comercialização de produtos florestais não madereiros / Monitoring the ecological and socioeconomic effects of the commercialization of non-timber forest products

A comercialização de produtos florestais não madeireiros (PFNMs) popularizou-se como atividade promotora do desenvolvimento socioeconômico de comunidades florestais com baixo impacto ambiental. Há evidências, contudo, de que a exploração possa produzir efeitos ecológicos e socioeconômicos negativos, sugerindo que é necessário monitorar tais iniciativas. A comercialização frequentemente ocorre em áreas remotas e em contextos de pobreza, como é o caso de muitas daquelas da Amazônia brasileira. Desta forma, é necessário que o monitoramento restrinja-se a avaliar os efeitos evidenciados como mais comuns em estudos anteriores. Este estudo revisa e sintetiza as evidências científicas dos efeitos da exploração de PFNMs sobre parâmetros ecológicos e socioeconômicos e, a partir daí, indica aqueles mais relevantes ao monitoramento. O estudo também levanta até que ponto o monitoramento é implementado no contexto da Amazônia brasileira e avalia quais os parâmetros importantes e viáveis de monitoramento neste caso específico. Para isso, foram realizadas revisões sistemáticas da literatura e a consulta a profissionais da área através do método Delphi. Os resultados indicam que efeitos ecológicos negativos são frequentes, principalmente quando se coletam folhas ou cascas. Alterações em órgãos ou processos fisiológicos e a taxa de sobrevivência dos espécimes explorados são parâmetros que devem ser monitorados, em particular quando se coletam frutos e partes vegetativas. Para todos os tipos de PFNMs, o tamanho e a estrutura populacional são parâmetros prioritários ao monitoramento. A riqueza de espécies da comunidade explorada merece atenção, principalmente quando se coletam frutos. Para os aspectos socioeconômicos, efeitos positivos foram mais frequentes que negativos. A contribuição da renda monetária obtida com o comércio na renda total, a regularidade de ingresso desta renda e o papel dos PFNMs como recursos de salvaguarda são parâmetros do capital financeiro prioritários ao monitoramento. Para o capital social, o empoderamento feminino, a coesão de grupo e o acesso aos benefícios gerados pela comercialização devem ser monitorados. Na Amazônia brasileira são poucas as iniciativas de implementação do monitoramento da comercialização de PFNMs. Embora este seja considerado importante, existem dificuldades que derivam principalmente da falta de apoio institucional, políticas de incentivo e de recursos financeiros. Os profissionais participantes do Delphi consideram que os parâmetros ecológicos mais importantes a monitorar neste contexto são o tamanho e a estrutura populacional do recurso explorado, o aumento da taxa de mortalidade, a quantidade total de recurso extraída e a técnica de coleta utilizada. Para os parâmetros econômicos, aspectos do mercado, como o preço pago ao coletor, a demanda e a qualidade do produto, bem como a renda monetária obtida pelos indivíduos são os parâmetros considerados mais importantes. Por fim, para os aspectos sociais, os efeitos na cultura, na qualidade de vida e na organização interna da comunidade foram priorizados.
