This paper addresses the issue of authorship in the network, from the indigenous writing produced in the electronic space of personal blogs, including the advancement of technology, particularly the internet, enables Indians occupying a unique space to say and be subject language, circulating senses muted and / or banned throughout history in / by traditional media. In this sense, the study calls into question what is being an author from the new conditions of production of writing in the digital network, starting from the discursive notion of authorship formulated by Orlandi (2007), through a shift from the concept of role-authored Foucault. From this approach, the indigenous authorship is treated as a gesture of interpretation of the subject in the production of texts on the web, considering the network as a space in which to say the subject and the senses are made an inseparable relationship between language and its external constitutive. As of the writing process, the work argues the authorship as part of a process of aboriginal resistance in the net. The aim of the research is to understand the constitution of the aboriginal citizen in the digital net and the emergency of an authorial position of resistance in the certain circumstances of one blog personal, knowing that the practice of the writing of texts in the computer effectively changes the relation of the author with its writing. The research focuses on theoretical discourse analysis and the corpus is made up of different materials collected in four personal blogs of indigenous authors / Doutorado / Linguistica / Doutor em Linguística

With the ever-growing use of social media, authorship attribution plays an important role in avoiding cybercrime, and helping the analysis of online trails left behind by cyber pranks, stalkers, bullies, identity thieves and alike. In this dissertation, we propose a method for authorship attribution in micro blogs with efficiency one hundred to a thousand times faster than state-of-the-art counterparts. We also achieved a accuracy of 65% when classifying texts from 50 authors. The method relies on a powerful and scalable feature representation approach taking advantage of user patterns on micro-blog messages, and also on a custom-tailored pattern classifier adapted to deal with big data and high-dimensional data. Finally, we discuss search space reduction when analysing hundreds of online suspects and millions of online micro messages, which makes this approach invaluable for digital forensics and law enforcement / Mestrado / Ciência da Computação / Mestre em Ciência da Computação

Gedalias Silva 22 April 2015 (has links)
This research presents as a study theme the Portuguese language teachers perfor-mance in the hypermodern world. It seems that a new teachers profile can be ob-served through the language and strategies that employ in the use at blogs. There-fore, a limitation of this new profile, in contrast to the profile of the traditional teacher of the classroom became necessary. The objective of this research was to determine whether the language area of teacher blogs meet the needs of learners, adapting their language to the virtual environment. This is justified because it is a new and different playing field of the classroom, as well being an environment that demands a more entrepreneurial profile. With the classrooms virtualization for high, the discus-sion revolves around what would be priority for the learning process of students and would be purely personal interest. With that in mind, was formulated the research question: To act through blogs, teachers prepare enough, watching the language learning programs and adapting the latter to the digital universe, with proper use of hypertext, the usability criteria and the interactivity criteria and the virtual communica-tion? This study was based on authors of TIC (interactivity, usability, hypertext elements etc.), Sociology (hypermodernity subject, hypermodern etc.), Applied Linguis-tics (genres, communication, language etc.), and Education (training teachers). This is supported by official documents published by the MEC were consulted. In this case, in addition to literature for theoretical reasons, we opted for the methodology of quantitative and qualitative research, useful for the development of this research. The results shows that among the main functions of the teacher and those actions that point to a more entrepreneurial profile, these teachers already innovate revolutionize and create different ways for your act. Perhaps, the weakness still lies in the fact that teachers are in the fact that teachers are in phase of transition technology, with requires having something to do.

The Importance of Online Peer Relationships During the Transition to Motherhood: Do They Decrease Stress, Alleviate Depression and Increase Parenting Competence?

Arias, Bobbie Sue 26 May 2016 (has links)
This research addressed the challenges faced by women in today's society during the transition to motherhood, and explored the possible benefits of an online natural helping network of blogging peers. Given the content of the literature describing the transition to motherhood and the many hardships that pose possible obstacles for an ideal transition, this research attempted to uncover the reasons why mothers blog and what benefit, if any, they experience as a result of blogging. This study explored the following questions: Why do women blog during the transition to motherhood? What is the relationship among the seven identified variables: blogging intensity, authentic self-disclosure, perceived general social support, perceived social support from blogging, current depression, stress, and parenting competence? This dissertation employed a cross-sectional research design using a web-based survey. The data were trimmed to limit the participants to residents/citizens of the United States and mothers of preschool aged (0-5) children who lived with them four or more days per week. The data were further limited to include only those participants (N = 501) who completed the survey in its entirety. New mothers experienced benefits as a result of their authentic participation in blogging and reported key reasons that they participated including: to share their experiences with others, to preserve their memories, to interact with a like-minded audience, and to feel understood. There were significant positive correlations between authentic self-disclosure and perceived social support, and sense of parenting competency, and a negative relationship between authentic self-disclosure and maternal depression and perceived stress. Multiple regression analysis indicated that social support was the strongest predictor of current depression. Social support was also a predictor of stress and of perceived parenting competence. Additionally, social support significantly predicted authentic self-disclosure. With a growing reliance on technology and social media, social work has an obligation to identify and utilize the beneficial aspects of this medium.

Les blogs personnels de mode en tant que nouvelles technologies de genre : Construction/déconstruction de l’éthos féminin / Personal fashion blogs as new gender technologies : Construction / deconstruction of the feminine ethos

Irimescu, Alexandra 06 July 2017 (has links)
Nowadays, the blog actively mobilizes social and technological transformations that are characteristic for the Western society. As such, it encompasses two directions: a counter- hegemonic one, dismissing the monopoly of gender models and of information production, and an identity-related one, aspiring to the promise of unaltered self-expressionin the public sphere. This study aims to contribute to the body of research about the online manifestation of gender expressivism. Personal fashion blogs are analyzed as a form of cultural intervention, an emergent discourse, and a space of affirmation for contra-audiences, as well as a new gender technology, that facilitates the redefinition of contemporary femininity. The purpose is to explore how women represent themselves, how they relate to their social context, their gendered status, and how they communicate their intentions. To this end, I depart from the premise that their interventions in the digital space are enacted as agents seeking to validate new forms of feminine sociality. The corpus is built on an exploratory analysis revealing the fragmentation characterizing personal fashion blogs. Although this is a pioneering work, it does not treat superficially the investigated phenomena. Beyond the analysis, it emphasizes the future shifts of personal fashion blogs, in synergy with Internet developments. The blogosphere has constituted a rich source of qualitative data, which has allowed a methodological triangulation: an online ethnographical observation, a discourse analysis centering on the notion of ethos and a visual analysis. I selected and analyzed a varied repertoire of the contemporary feminine ethos (physical, disruptive, professional and familial), which demonstrates that in this media there is a trend to detach oneself from dominant model of femininity. By employing a cross-national corpus of fashion blogs, owned by women, I have identified the traits of the dominant fashion blog – presenting what it appears to be a consensual view on femininity, in partnership with the fashion industry - but also a series of counterhegemonic positionings. This research signals the transition from an imaginary femininity towards a feminine identity which materializes in close relationship with social status. In this shift of perspective resides our interest in a practice which grants access to self-representation.The study suggests defining personal fashion blogs as new gender technologies. It starts with a generic analysis of fashion blogs by circumscribing various scenographies based on which a series of visual sub-categories can be distinguished. Thus, I introduce an original typology of personal fashion blogs: male gaze, hedonistic practices, critical stance and social activism. On the one hand, personal fashion blogs neutralize the social context through the continuous activation of the feminine masquerade and by claiming a monolithic feminine identity, the blog becomes an instrument of participative alienation. On the other hand, through the deconstruction of the feminine masquerade, by building online diasporic communities, and shifting between identities, personal fashion blogs become an instrument of soft power, a place of resistance that establishes women’s representations as something achieved by them, not imposed upon them. An inter-disciplinary approach has made possible the analysis of this syncretic object of study, which is the result of digital technologies, but also of existing social transformations / of evolving gender relations.

Les mutations de la critique littéraire en France à l’ère du numérique : sites et blogs littéraires, nouvelles formes de prescription et de débats / Transformations of French literary criticism in the digital age : websites and literary blogs, new forms of recommendation and debates

Bassa, Aneta 12 June 2019 (has links)
The study traces the evolution of literary criticism in France in the digital age, referring to its prescriptive function. In her approach, the author relies on a field survey among actors of the critical space - publishers, bloggers, founders of participatory sites and on the observation of French blogs and literary sites. She analyzes the mutations of web critique, both social and discursive. The interactive phase of the Internet which has released voices of amateurs, self-appointed as new evaluators, creates a parallel critical space, and consequently forces the literary field to reorganize itself. At the same time, on the formal plane, the new medium shapes and transforms the critical discourse itself, both in the phase of creation and in the diffusion and reception of critical speech. The new forms of mediation, open to exchange, more and more favour the collective dimension. As a result, many digital literary communities are being formed whose critical activity not only create a new prescriptive force on the book market but also contribute to the making of an alternative literary canon. The most significant change is reflected in these collective manifestations of contemporary criticism – nourished by passionate exchange of readers and reinforced by the results of data aggregation (which can thus be considered as the result of an alliance of individual subjectivity and the objectivity produced by the machine) - which transform fundamentally the way of constructing the current critical discourse.
