Previous issue date: 2007-09-03 / The "paulistas", or be, the pioneers of the town of S?o Paulo of Piratininga, were hired by the Portuguese Crown as instrument of repression and social control between the centuries XVII and XVIII, were involved in conflicts of the Captainships of the North of the State of Brazil after expulsion of the West of Indian Company. That moment corresponds to the beginning of the conquest of the sert?o , and of the
consequent resistances offered by the Indians of the interior of the continent that barred the Portuguese colonial project. The colonial sert?o was understood as all area outside of the Portuguese jurisdiction, in contrary condition to the Sugary zone. In such events, the labor of the "paulistas" was employed by the rights to his abilities in traversing the weeds. With that, we are going to detach the participation of the
"paulistas" during and after the called "Guerra dos B?rbaros" in the captainship of Rio Grande, as well as the output of that space from the establishment of the groups that were mobilized for the conflict / Os paulistas , ou seja, os bandeirantes da vila de S?o Paulo de Piratininga, foram contratados pela Coroa Portuguesa como instrumento de repress?o e controle social entre os s?culos XVII e XVIII, envolvidos nos conflitos das Capitanias do Norte do Estado do Brasil ap?s a expuls?o da Companhia das ?ndias Ocidentais (WIC). Sua produ??o pict?rica incluiu desenho, pintura de cavalete, pintura mural, mosaico, escultura, cer?mica, gravura e tape?aria. O objetivo principal da disserta??o ? investigar como Dorian Gray construiu uma identidade pessoal alicer?ada na arte moderna e de que forma seu protagonismo interferiu na constitui??o de uma arte potiguar. Prioriza um recorte temporal que vai de 1950, ano que marca o in?cio de sua atividade profissional, com o I Sal?o de Arte Moderna de Natal, em parceria com os artistas Newton Navarro e Ivon Rodrigues, at? 1989, com a publica??o do livro ?Artes Pl?sticas do Rio Grande do Norte (1920-1989)?, obra de sua autoria que consolida a ideia de uma identidade art?stica potiguar. As principais fontes utilizadas s?o entrevistas fundamentadas na hist?ria oral de vida, not?cias publicadas nos jornais A Rep?blica, O Poti e Di?rio de Natal, discursos e textos de memorialistas. / This current essay analyzes biographical trajectory of the plastic artist and natalense writer Dorian Gray, well known as one of the artistic modernity precursors in Rio Grande do Norte. His pictorial production included drawing, easel painting, mural painting, mosaic, sculpture, ceramics, picture and tapestry. The main goal of this dissertation is to explore how Dorian Gray made a personal identity based on modern art and in what way his protagonism interfered in the formation of Potiguar art. It prioritizes a temporal cut, from 1950, the year which he started his professional career, in the I Sal?o de Arte Moderna de Natal in partnership with the artists Newton Navarro and Ivon Rodrigues, to 1989, when was published the book ?Artes Pl?sticas do Rio Grande do Norte (1920-1989)?, work of his own which consolidates an idea of the potiguar artistic identity. Its first chapter analyzes how art became an option of life to Dorian Gray and how he created the idea of an artistic tradition to his family. Its second chapter investigates his cultural production in the delimited period, sociability networks made by him and his participation in the formation of the Natalense artistic modernity. The third chapter examines, from a point, the pictures that Dorian created about him and about what considered to have done to the cultural and intellectual areas of Rio Grande do Norte, and to another point, how his contemporaries represented the artist and his work. Some speeches made after his death and strategies used by his family and cultural institutions to preserve the artist?s memory were recovered. As theoretical contribution, uses the perception of biography (DOSSE, 2009; LORIGA, 2011), social setting (ELIAS, 1994), modernity (BERMAN, 1986) and memory framing (POLLACK, 1989, 1992) and the theoretical-methodological referential of Oral History of life (PORTELLI, 1997). The relation between History and space is discussed in the perspective of the geographer Yi-Fu Tuan (2013), to whom the space is a place which creates identity. The main sources used are interviews based on Oral History, news published in the newspapers A Rep?blica, O Poti e Di?rio de Natal, speeches and memorialist texts.

Previous issue date: 2017-09-19 / O objetivo desta disserta??o ? discutir o processo de autonomiza??o da assinatura ?Gustavo Barroso? por meio do exame do discurso narrativo presente em Ideias e Palavras, em A Ronda dos S?culos e em Os Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o, obras publicadas por Gustavo Adolfo Dodt Luiz Guilherme da Cunha Barroso entre 1917 e 1936. Defendemos a ideia de que Os Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o constituem um novo texto produzido por Barroso a partir dos insumos das suas obras anteriores, e n?o simplesmente uma tradu??o da vers?o francesa do documento-marco do antissemitismo contempor?neo. Nesse intuito, baseamo-nos nos textos da Nova Hist?ria Pol?tica, da hist?ria do espa?o nacional e da Religi?o Pol?tica para percebermos como essa assinatura vai se adensando a partir da tese do imperialismo judaico e da afirma??o da nacionalidade brasileira, tendo em vista a produ??o de um discurso narrativo contra os judeus. Em respeito a isso, utilizamos como referencial metodol?gico os livros Narrative Discourse: An Essay in Method (1990) e Paratexts: Thresholds of interpretation (2001), de G?rard Genette, e dedicamos um cap?tulo da disserta??o para cada obra. No primeiro cap?tulo, caracterizamos o discurso narrativo de Ideias e Palavras, mostrando como a dubiedade da assinatura ?Jo?o do Norte (Gustavo Barroso)? explicita uma aprecia??o positiva dos judeus. No segundo cap?tulo, caracterizamos o discurso narrativo de A Ronda dos S?culos pensando a autonomia da assinatura e o processo de negativa??o dos judeus. No terceiro cap?tulo, analisamos o discurso narrativo dos Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o e discutimos que a assinatura ?Gustavo Barroso?, j? aut?noma, assume a forma de antijuda?smo e antissemitismo. Demonstramos a continuidade da escala internacional como compreens?o espacial e temporal, a descri??o de ambientes f?sicos como pressuposto da psicologia dos personagens, a inser??o de p?ssaros como marca??o das clivagens na narrativa, o aparecimento da guerra como constante hist?rica, cita??o de judeus para discorrer sobre os judeus e a compreens?o da natureza humana como tendente ? destrui??o. Estudar os escritos de Gustavo Barroso ? importante na medida em que ele ? considerado o expoente do antissemitismo brasileiro, foi ele quem concatenou teoricamente o confluxo entre catolicismo e integralismo, de modo que ele se tornou um dos autores mais citados pelos antissemitas contempor?neos como uma forma legitimar as persegui??es ?s minorias e o pensamento autorit?rio. / This study aims discuss the process of autonomy of signature ?Gustavo Barroso? with the exam of the Narrative discourse present in Ideias e Palavras, A Ronda dos S?culos and Os Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o, books published by intellectual Brazilian Gustavo Adolfo Dodt Luiz Guilherme da Cunha Barroso between 1917 and 1936. We defend the idea that Os Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o [The Protocols of the Elders of Zion] constitute a new text, not simply a translation of French version. . In this sense, we are based on the texts of the New Political History, the history of the national space and the Political Religion, in order to understand how this signature builds on the thesis of the Jewish imperialism and the affirmation of Brazilian nationality, in view of the production of narrative discourse against the Jews. In this respect, we use as a methodological reference the books Narrative Discourse: An Essay in Method (1990) and Paratexts: Thresholds of interpretation (2001), by G?rard Genette, and dedicate a chapter of the dissertation for each work. In the first chapter, we characterize the narrative discourse of Ideias e Palavras, showing how the dubiousness of the signature "Jo?o do Norte (Gustavo Barroso)" makes explicit a positive appreciation of the Jews. In the second chapter, we characterized the narrative discourse of A Ronda dos S?culos, thinking about the autonomy of the signature and the process of negativation of the Jews. In the third chapter, we analyze the narrative discourse of Os Protocolos dos S?bios de Si?o and we discuss that signature "Gustavo Barroso" and Anti-semitism. We demonstrate the continuity of the international scale as spatial and temporal comprehension, the description of physical environments as a presupposition of the psychology of the characters, the insertion of birds as a mark of the cleavages in the narrative, the appearance of war as a historical constant, citation of Jews to discuss the Jews and the understanding of human nature as tending to destruction. Studying the writings of Gustavo Barroso is important insofar as he is considered the exponent of Brazilian anti-Semitism, it was he who theoretically concatenated the conflux between Catholicism and integralism, so that he became one of the authors most quoted by contemporary anti-Semites as a form legitimize persecution of minorities and authoritarian thinking.

Conhecer, Analisar, Transformar ? para o processo de empoderamento das mulheres do semi?rido baiano em rela??o ?s perman?ncias e mudan?as nas rela??es sociais, pol?ticas e organizativas, analisando como o empoderamento reestrutura a inser??o das mulheres e altera a dicotomia p?blico/privado no contexto das comunidades rurais do Territ?rio do Sisal. A Bolsa Fam?lia, por meio da pol?tica de transfer?ncia de renda, controle e gest?o de recursos interfere na autonomia, na autoestima e na independ?ncia econ?mica das mulheres em rela??o aos seus conjugues, bem como por meio de condicionalidades, aproxima a popula??o pobre dos servi?os p?blicos de sa?de e educa??o, sendo que essa situa??o interfere no ciclo intergeracional da pobreza nas fam?lias benefici?rias. Por outro lado, a Educa??o Contextualizada por meio de um projeto pol?tico pedag?gico fortalece a conviv?ncia com o semi?rido, empodera e estimula o protagonismo pol?tico e a cidadania participativa das mulheres. Por se tratar de uma Hist?ria do Tempo Presente a nossa pesquisa se utilizou de narrativas das hist?rias de vida a partir da sele??o de um grupo de mulheres representativas, com aplica??o de question?rio e realiza??o de entrevistas. Al?m disso, a pesquisa se utiliza do levantamento bibliogr?fico e outras fontes secund?rias de pesquisa. Os resultados apontam para a amplia??o dos espa?os das mulheres nas tomadas de decis?es econ?micas, familiares e educacionais. As mulheres valorizam bastante a independ?ncia financeira gerada pelo Programa Bolsa Fam?lia e a redu??o da depend?ncia em rela??o aos companheiros, bem como o poder de decis?o pela capacidade de planejamento que o Bolsa Fam?lia propiciou para as benefici?rias. ? importante observar que as mulheres das organiza??es da sociedade civil e que mant?m algum v?nculo com as a??es do MOC/CAT falam claramente em mudan?as de papeis dentro da fam?lia, sendo que praticamente todas se sentem as principais provedoras ou pelo menos dividindo de forma compartilhada as decis?es sobre os usos dos recursos dentro da fam?lia. A pesquisa percebeu uma diferen?a muito grande no valor atribu?do ? educa??o do campo por parte das benefici?rias que foram alunas da escola CAT e que atuam na sociedade civil em rela??o ao grupo de mulheres que tem apenas filhos que frequentam a escola CAT. As mulheres que foram alunas CAT e atuam na Sociedade civil acreditam que a Educa??o Contextualizada teve um papel transformador em suas vidas, enquanto o grupo de mulheres que tem apenas filhos, muitas desconhecem inclusive a terminologia CAT. Logo, o empoderamento econ?mico das mulheres por meio do controle dos recursos da fam?lia, ao propiciar tomadas de decis?es e capacidade de escolhas, quando conectado a processos de forma??o e participa??o por meio da Educa??o Contextualizada t?m contribu?do para o empoderamento e inser??o das mulheres nos espa?os p?blicos da sociedade. / This dissertation has the purpose to understand the contribution of the Bolsa Fam?lia Program and the Contextualized Education. The latter uses the CAT method - Know, Analyze,Transform ? as a way towards the empowerment of women from Bahia?s semiarid region in relation to the permanence and changes in social, political and organizational structures, analyzing how empowerment restructures the insertion of women and changes the public/private dichotomy in the context of rural communities on the Sisal Territory. The Bolsa Fam?lia Program, through the policy of income transfer, control and management of resources, interferes in the autonomy, self-esteem and economic independence of women in relation to their spouses, as well as through conditionalities, brings the poor population towards public services such as health and education, being that this situation interferes on the intergenerational cycle of poverty when it comes to the beneficiary families. On the other hand, the contextualized education through a political pedagogical strengthens the coexistence with the semiarid region empowers and stimulates the political protagonism and participatory citizenship of women. On the grounds that this work is a History of the Present Time, our research emerged of life story narratives based on the selection of a representative group of women, with questionnaire application as well as interviews were conducted with the subjects. Additionally, the present dissertation uses bibliographic survey and other secondary sources of research. The results point to the expansion of women's spaces in economic, family and educational decisions. The conclusion is that women appreciate the financial independence generated by the Bolsa Fam?lia Program and the reduction of dependence towards their partners, as well as the decision-making power for the planning capacity that Bolsa Fam?lia provided for the beneficiaries. It is important to note that women from civil society organizations which maintains some connection with MOC/CAT actions openly speak of changes in roles within their families, with virtually all of them feeling as the main providers or, when that?s not the case, as one who share responsibilities when it comes to the use of resources within the family. The research perceived a great difference between the value attributed to the rural?s education by the beneficiaries who were students themselves of CAT school and with an active role in the Civil society when compared to the group women in which only had children enrolled in CAT school. Women who were CAT students and worked in civil society organizations believed that Contextualized Education has had a transformative role in their lives, meanwhile the group of women who had children enrolled, were even sometimes unaware of the CAT terminology. Therefore the economic empowerment of these women through the control of family resources by facilitating decision-making when connected to the development and participation through Contextualized Education, have contributed to the empowerment and inclusion of women in the public spaces of society.

O recorte temporal abarca a instala??o de um elementar aparelho fiscal na capitania do Rio Grande, por volta de 1606, e a redu??o da ?rea de jurisdi??o da Provedoria do Rio Grande, em 1723, ? ocasi?o da cria??o da Provedoria do Siar? Grande, antes espa?o sob a compet?ncia da administra??o fazend?ria do Rio Grande. Nesse sentido, a institui??o de um burocr?tico sistema fiscal na capitania do Rio Grande ? compreendida como uma forma de a Coroa legitimar a presen?a de sua a??o colonizadora em seus territ?rios ultramarinos. Da cria??o de um simples quadro de oficiais, no in?cio do s?culo XVII, ? consolida??o das zonas fiscais, as ribeiras da capitania, na transi??o do s?culo XVII para o XVIII, estabeleceu-se em um organizado sistema administrativo. Desse modo, por meio de variados conjuntos documentais, analisou-se a funda??o da Provedoria da Fazenda Real do Rio Grande, a organiza??o do seu quadro de oficiais a partir da segunda metade do s?culo XVII, o processo de arrecada??o realizado pela Provedoria do Rio Grande, bem como as suas circunscri??es jurisdicionais. Por fim, ser? poss?vel entender como, ao longo desse processo, consolidaram-se na capitania as zonas fiscais de arrecada??o de tributos, constru?das ao longo de d?cadas de atua??o dos homens da Fazenda d?El rei no s?culo XVII. / This work analyzes, from an institutional historical view, the establishment and consolidation of a financial administration in the Captaincy of Rio Grande, investigating its officers and their acts in Provedoria of Royal Treasury, between early 16th and 17th centuries. That temporal gap covers since the firsts tax enforcements at Rio Grande, c. 1606, the reduction of its jurisdiction, in 1723, to the foundation of a Royal Treasury in Siar? Grande, previously administered by Rio Grande. Thus, settling a bureaucratic tax system in that captaincy, the crown tried to legitimate the control and colonization in overseas territories. From a simple officer corps, in early 17th century, to consolidation of tax districts (zonas fiscais), the capitaincie?s ribeiras, were established in a structured administrative system. Therefore, analyzing various administrative documents, this study try to understand the organization of Royal treasury in Rio Grande and the officer corp?s role, working for tax revenues, and the creation of Rio Grande?s jurisdiction. Finally, it was understood like, along a historical process, was established in that captaincy the tax districts, settled in by human labor at Royal Treasury, in 17th century.

Previous issue date: 2016-08-29 / Ramess?s III (1187 ? 1157 a.C.), segundo fara? da XX dinastia eg?pcia, reinou durante a passagem da Idade do Bronze para a Idade do Ferro, no contexto de um delicado clima pol?tico e social, com tentativas de invas?o por estrangeiros, greves de trabalhadores e uma tentativa de regic?dio em meio a um golpe de estado. Apesar das adversidades, este fara? foi o respons?vel pela constru??o de um suntuoso complexo de culto real, em Medinet Habu, a ?ltima grande estrutura monumental erigida no Novo Imp?rio. Neste espa?o sagrado, um dos exemplos mais bem conservados da estrutura axial templ?ria da ?poca, re?ne-se grande parte da heran?a cultural eg?pcia do per?odo, seus padr?es art?sticos, arquitet?nicos, escult?ricos, seus mitos, anseios e rituais, suas cren?as no p?s-vida e na fun??o do fara?, principal mediador entre as esferas divina e humana. Neste sentido, com base no conceito de mem?ria cultural, este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma an?lise do templo memorial de Ramess?s III, por meio de suas iconografias e de suas inscri??es, buscando demonstrar como este pode ter sido utilizado para perpetuar uma mem?ria de longa dura??o da sociedade eg?pcia e de seus valores, ressaltando os diversos tipos de recursos e estrat?gias que foram adotados neste espa?o para a consolida??o deste projeto rememorativo e da autoimagem de Ramess?s III ? ?poca. / Ramesses III (1187 ? 1157 BC), the second pharaoh of the XX Egyptian dynasty, reigned during the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age, in the context of a delicate political and social climate, with invasion attempts by foreigners, workers? strikes and an attempted regicide in the midst of a coup d?etat. Despite the adversities, this Pharaoh was the responsible for the construction of a sumptuous royal cult complex at Medinet Habu, the last large monumental structure erected in the New Kingdom. In this sacred space, one of the best preserved examples of templar axial structure of the time, gathers much of the Egyptian cultural heritage of the period, its artistics and architectural patterns, sculptural models, their myths, anxieties and rituals, its beliefs in the afterlife and the roles of the Pharaoh as the main mediator between the divine and the human spheres. Considering this, based on the cultural memory concept, this work aims to realize an analysis of the memorial temple of Ramesses III, through its iconographies and its inscriptions, searching to demonstrate how this may have been used to perpetuate a long-term memory of Egyptian society and its values, highlighting the different types of resources and strategies that have been adopted in this space to the consolidation of this remembrance project and of the self-image of Ramesses III at the time.

o anticomunismo difundido no Rio Grande do Norte pelo jornal cat?lico A Ordem e pelo
jornal laico A Rep?blica e, no plano nacional, pela revista A Ordem, editada pelo Centro Dom
Vital, do Rio de Janeiro. Entendo que a produ??o cat?lica do anticomunismo se insere nos
pressupostos e estrat?gias pol?ticas que a Igreja buscava fomentar. Sendo assim, achamos
necess?rio ligar a compreens?o desse discurso ao pensamento cat?lico contra a modernidade e
as suas formula??es, trabalhadas no s?culo XIX e in?cio do s?culo XX pela Igreja para
entender a especificidade de sua tradu??o no Brasil. Dessa maneira, compreendemos que o
anticomunismo cat?lico ? parte do discurso antimoderno traduzido no Brasil e no Rio Grande
do Norte em raz?o dos pressupostos e estrat?gias que a Igreja e a Diocese de Natal
procuravam alavancar na d?cada de 1930. Para esta an?lise, houve a necessidade de
considerarmos a produ??o espec?fica do campo religioso, pela articula??o te?ricometodol?gica
de Pierre Bourdieu das categorias ?campo? e ?espa?o? e dos mecanismos de
representa??o nas diferentes escalas. Discernindo as a??es e estrat?gias do espa?o social
cat?lico, buscamos entender os espa?os pol?ticos com os quais o nacional e o local
dialogaram. Assim, percebemos que a rela??o entre a religi?o e a pol?tica se constituiu a partir
da formula??o de um tipo de capital simb?lico espec?fico, adaptado ?s experi?ncias do
nacional e do local, e, no caso local, desempenhou um papel central na produ??o do espa?o e
da identidade norte-rio-grandense na d?cada de 1930. / This paper aims to analyze the development of the catholic anticommunism in Brazil between
the years of 1934 to 1937, comparing the local to the national level, having as study material
the anticommunism widespread in Rio Grande do Norte by the catholic newspaper The Order
and the secular newspaper The Republic and, on what concerns the country, by the magazine
The Order issued by the Dom Vital Center, in Rio de Janeiro. It?s understood that these
productions refers to an anti-communist discourse anchored in political strategies and
assumptions that the church sought to leverage. Therefore, it is important to link the
understanding of this speech to the Catholic ideas against modernity and its formulations,
worked in the nineteenth and in the early twentieth century by the church to understand the
specificity of its translation in Brazil. Thus, it is understood that the Catholic anticommunism
is only part of the anti-modern discourse translated because of assumptions and strategies that
the Church sought to leverage in the 1930s. For this analysis, it was necessary to consider the
specific production of the religious field by the theoretical and methodological articulation of
Pierre Bourdieu categories 'field' and 'space' and the representation mechanisms at different
scales. In that way we see that the relationship between religion and politics were formed
from the formulation of a specific type of symbolic capital, adapted to the national experience
and local ? which, has played a major and central role in the production of space and identity
of Rio Grande do Norte in the 1930s.

Esta epopeia narra o trajeto percorrido pelos sobreviventes da Guerra de Troia, liderados pelo her?i Eneias, em busca de uma terra prometida pelos deuses, para fundar uma nova cidade. Nesta pesquisa, tomamos como objeto de estudo o Livro III da Eneida, no qual o personagem Eneias narra como se deu o decorrer dos seus primeiros anos de ex?lio, sempre chegando e partindo de espa?os onde ele passou por experi?ncias que moldaram sua personalidade como l?der pol?tico, militar e religioso, bem como influenciaram seus companheiros de viagem. Realizamos uma reflex?o sobre como essas caracter?sticas agregadas ? figura de Eneias podem nos auxiliar na reflex?o sobre pol?tica, vida c?vica e religi?o da cidade de Roma, durante o per?odo em que a epopeia virgiliana foi produzida, abarcando o governo de Ot?vio Augusto, entre 14 a. C. This epic tells the route taken by survivors of the Trojan War, led by Aeneas hero, in search of a promised land of the gods, to found a new city. In this research, we take as an object of study Book III of the Aeneid in which Aeneas character tells how was the course of his first years of exile, always arriving and departing spaces where he went through experiences that shaped his personality as political leader, military and religious, and influenced their travel companions. We carry out a reflection on how these characteristics aggregated to Aeneas figure can help us in thinking about politics, civic life and religion of Rome, during the period in which the epic Virgilian was produced, covering the government of Octavian Augustus, 14 to . C. and 27 d. C. promote an analysis of mythos, memory and space, identifying how the Trojans exiles in Aeneid is recognized and interact with the spaces in which landed in particular Thrace, Delos, Crete, Estrof?das islands, Buthrotum, Italy and Drepano, aiming to demonstrate how a literary source may suggest cultural elements of the society that produced it.

Esta pesquisa trata de uma an?lise sobre a constru??o imagin?ria e imaginada dos espa?os, ou da ?geografia sobrenatural? presentes no sistema m?stico-religioso do catimb?-jurema. Em se tratando da an?lise, s?o abordados m?ltiplos aspectos espaciais utilizados nesta religi?o: terreiro, o peji ou altar, o corpo, as cidades espirituais, os reinos e aldeias presentes na cosmogonia juremeira. Destacamos tamb?m as met?foras espaciais ou no??es espacializantes contidas na liturgia do catimb?. Este trabalho revisita as literaturas pioneiras das d?cadas de 1920/30, escritas por M?rio de Andrade, Roger Bastide e C?mara Cascudo, com objetivo de perceber os processos hist?ricos, sociais e culturais que moldaram o catimb?-jurema dando-lhe seu formato atual. A revis?o bibliogr?fica tamb?m vistoria as produ??es recentes, com objetivo principal de apresentar ao leitor o que est? sendo elaborado por pesquisadores desta religi?o na contemporaneidade. O corpus documental deste trabalho conta com entrevistas, an?lise de pontos cantados e de blogs para tecer nossas considera??es acerca da pr?tica juremeira observada em alguns terreiros do Rio Grande do Norte. Guiados pelos preceitos te?rico-metodol?gicos da Hist?ria Oral, tra?amos uma an?lise sobre a constru??o imag?tico-discursiva das ?cidades espirituais? da jurema, tendo como fonte os relatos dos adeptos, nosso objetivo ? apresentar uma ?geografia do sobrenatural? das espacialidades do catimb?, catalogando as nomenclaturas das paragens m?ticas enunciadas pelos juremeiros. Estas e outras express?es analisadas no decorrer da pesquisa atuam de maneira prof?cua no sentido de auxiliarem na produ??o de dizibilidades e visibilidades dos espa?os materiais e imateriais do catimb?-jurema. / Catimb?-Jurema is a religious manifestation, whose origins initially relate to indigenous groups, which once inhabited the Brazilian northeastern region. This study can be defined as an analysis on the imaginary and imagined construction of spaces, i.e. construction of the ?supernatural geography? present in the Catimb?-Jurema mystic-religious system. As far as the analysis is concerned, we address multiple spatial aspects used in this religion: terreiros, the peji or altar, the body, the spiritual cities, the kingdoms and villages present in Jurema?s cosmogony. We additionally point out the spatial metaphors or spatializing notions present in Catimb??s liturgy. In order to perceive the historical, social and cultural processes that shaped Catimb?-Jurema, resulting in its current format, this work revisits the pioneering literatures of the 1920s and 1930s, written by M?rio de Andrade, Roger Bastide and C?mara Cascudo. This bibliographic review also searches on recent productions, with the main objective of presenting to the reader with productions issued by researchers of this religion in the contemporaneity. The documentary corpus of this work uses resources, such as interviews, analysis of ritual songs (pontos cantados) and textual material found in blogs, as underlying means to develop considerations about Jurema?s practice as observed in some terreiros in Rio Grande do Norte. Guided by the theoretical and methodological precepts of Oral History, we outline an analysis of the imaging-discursive construction of Jurema?s ?spiritual cities?, based on the accounts of Juremeiros (adherents to the said religion). Our objective is to present a ?supernatural geography? of Catimb??s spatiality, cataloging the nomenclatures of the mythical sites enunciated by the Juremeiros. Such expressions, among others analyzed in the course of the research, work in a profitable way to contribute towards the production of descriptibility and visibility of material and immaterial spaces of the Catimb?-Jurema.

sul. Objetiva analisar o processo de constru??o do territ?rio nacional, partindo da
an?lise da constitui??o das fronteiras mar?timas do Estado brasileiro. Entender como
esse Estado Nacional operacionalizou o esquadrinhamento de um novo territ?rio, na
d?cada de 1970, com a extens?o do Mar Territorial brasileiro para 200 milhas n?uticas,
? o nosso principal problema. Nessa perspectiva, tratamos das modifica??es
administrativas do Estado brasileiro e a forma??o de uma tecnoestrutura estatal, que
acabou dotando a organiza??o governamental brasileira de uma nova l?gica t?cnica e
administrativa para dar sustenta??o aos novos limites mar?timos. Pudemos observar que
a interven??o do Estado brasileiro em pesquisas voltadas para o mar e na propaganda
sobre os novos limites foram um dos pilares de sustenta??o do projeto de constru??o do
territ?rio brasileiro no Atl?ntico Sul. Ao lan?ar m?o de um projeto de constru??o de um
territ?rio mar?timo, identificamos a fragilidade do governo brasileiro em sustentar o mar
territorial de 200 milhas, frente ? imposi??o de acordos de pesca feitos por pa?ses que
n?o reconheciam os novos limites mar?timos do Brasil. / The theme of the present work is the construction of a Brazilian territory in the South
Atlantic. When we observe the national territory building process, based on the analysis
of the constitution of the maritime borders of the Brazilian state, our central problem
concerns to the understanding of how this National State operationalized the full
exploration of a new territory, in the 1970s, with the extension of the Brazilian
Territorial Sea to 200 nautical miles. In this perspective, we handle the administrative
changes of the Brazilian state and the formation of a state technostructure, which ended
up giving the Brazilian government organization of a new technical and administrative
logic to sustain the new maritime boundaries. We observed that the intervention of the
Brazilian government in research for the sea and propaganda about the new limits were
one of the pillars of support of the Brazil construction project in the South Atlantic. To
make use of a construction of a maritime territory project, identified the weakness of the
Brazilian government to support the territorial sea of 200 miles, against the imposition
of fisheries agreements made by countries that did not recognize the new maritime
boundaries of Brazil.
