"ENTRA AÍ PRA COMPLETÁ": NARRATIVAS DE JOGADORAS DO FUTSAL FEMININO EM SANTA MARIA RS / "COME ON IN TO PLAY": WOMEN FUTSAL PLAYER'S NARRATIVES IN SANTA MARIA - RSKessler, Cláudia Samuel 03 March 2010 (has links)
Based on an ethnography of sporting activities, this study intended to map the formation of futsal in Santa Maria RS (Brazil), and understand the importance that this sport has in the lives of 18 players interviewed in this research. Initially barred from playing, due to familiar
and governmental prohibitions, women went from fan to players, getting empowered through the expression of their subjectivities. With the implementation of their gear to do (and can also be understood that the game was an art displayed by them), these women subverted the dominant hegemony that pronounced sexist and essentialist discourses, relating to reproductive issues and that linked the feminine to private spaces, like home. These women challenged the centrality of sexual standards and behavior, entering a male-dominated arena. Over a few decades, since 1980, they occupied spaces in the soccer fields of Santa Maria, and after they started to play futsal. / Partindo de uma etnografia das práticas desportivas, o presente trabalho procurou mapear a constituição do futsal feminino em Santa Maria RS, bem como entender a importância que este esporte possui na trajetória de vida das 18 jogadoras entrevistadas para esta pesquisa. Inicialmente impedidas de jogar, devido a proibições familiares e até mesmo governamentais, as mulheres passaram de torcedoras a praticantes, empoderando-se por meio da expressão de
sua subjetividade. Com a execução de suas artes de fazer (e pode-se também entender que o jogo era uma arte mostrada por elas), estas mulheres subverteram a hegemonia dominante que afirmava discursos sexistas e essencialistas, referentes à questão reprodutiva e à ligação do feminino ao mundo doméstico. Estas mulheres desafiaram imposições relativas à centralidade de padrões sexuais e comportamentais, adentrando numa arena de predominância masculina.
No decorrer de algumas décadas, desde 1980, ocuparam espaços dentro dos campos de futebol santa-marienses e, posteriormente, as quadras de futsal da cidade.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / In this research is listed some of the changings that occurred in Congregation Our Lady of Sion, mainly the changings that have a close relation with the behaviour that is practiced and presented by the Congregation. The aim, while the research was being done, was to perceive
if the aproximation of the sisters to Judaism had modified their religious practices and, by extension, the practices of the people that interact socialy with them. It was also observed that the Congregation had a declive in the noviciate due to social transformations occurred in the
60 s and 70 s of last century. These two decades influenced not only the noviciate of the Congregation, the way to manifest yourself religiously was profoundly alterated, in other words, the religious habitus of the congregation shows that, like in other religious segments,
is possible to have an official vinculation with Catholic Church and complement it with caracters from other tradition, in this case, the Judaism. At last, in the search to understand the identity of the sisters it was verified that there is a concern about to affirm themselves as
catholic, however the identity shown is marked by the jewish tradition, or a hybrid identity. / Nesta pesquisa estão arroladas algumas das mudanças ocorridas na Congregação Nossa Senhora de Sion, principalmente aquelas que têm estreita relação com o comportamento religioso praticado e apresentado pela Congregação. O intuito, durante a pesquisa, era perceber se a aproximação das freiras ao Judaísmo tinha alterado suas práticas e, por extensão, as práticas dos indivíduos que interagem socialmente com a Congregação. Foi
observado também que a Congregação teve um declínio expressivo no noviciado devido às transformações sociais ocorridas após as décadas de 60 e 70 do século passado. Estas duas décadas influenciaram não somente ao noviciado da Congregação, a maneira de se manifestar
religiosamente também foi profundamente alterada, em outras palavras, o habitus religioso da Congregação demonstra que esta, assim como em outros segmentos religiosos, é possível ter uma vinculação oficial ao Catolicismo e complementá-lo com aspectos de outra tradição, neste caso o Judaísmo. Por fim, na busca de compreender a identidade das freiras se verificou
que há uma preocupação constante das freiras em afirmarem-se somente como Católicas, porém a identidade demonstrada é marcada pela tradição judaica, ou seja, uma identidade híbrida.

assumed privileged positions in urban policies, presenting themselves as instruments
for transforming and shaping the aspect of cities. In the plot line of such glowing trend,
the competitiveness among cities has drawn more attention, for at present such urban
centers garner an image that makes them suitable for economic purposes, thus more
likely to attract investments and tourists. In the spotlight of such stage, the cities
become notable actors, directed by policies of urban rehabilitation. In such plot line,
the historical centers gain more visibility and are converted into venues for staging the
spectacle of everyday life. Overlapped in this process of producing images, the
phenomenon of gentrification recrudesces. Thus, the discussion threaded about the
patrimony gains strength in urban studies, keeping a close relationship with the ways
of perceiving the cities nowadays. This work is based on the principle that the historical
centers are engendered and fond by urban policies, working as transforming
instruments of city perceptions and living. In that sense, the way how the historic center
and the valuation assessed to old buildings are comprehended by the inhabitants is
largely guided by urban policies that outline a sellable image of the city. In the light of
such elaborations, an ethnographic research was made with focus on two different
contexts, namely: the historic centers of Jo?o Pessoa (Brazil) and Tours (France). It
was done in a comparative perspective, for it allows us to trace the main specificities
of each situation in order to highlight the similarities and distinctions about the two
regions mentioned above. The research aimed at apprehending how the pair
redevelopment-abandonment engendered by the urban policies influence on the
process of revaluation of historical centers by dwellers and to what extent there are
convergences regarding such kinds of interventions, as an object of policies of urban
and touristic development in Brazil and France. In order to make this work ? besides
the abundant bibliographic review carried out in libraries of several universities and
institutions in Brazil and France ? dwellers, merchants, teachers, representative people
of public agencies and former residents of the historic centers of both cities were
interviewed. In Tours, immigrants/Portuguese descendants were interviewed, point
that greatly contributed to the understanding of the historic center before Vieux Tours
renewal and restoration. Moreover a rich research on Archives and Public Agencies
was done, as well as investigations on newspaper and articles on the Internet. Thus,
in the context of the ethnography in historic centers, it was possible to notice that both
realities reveal similarities in a comparative analytical framework

foram consultados com destaque para a biografia escrita por sua esposa Marianne Weber
por ter uma grande quantidade de trechos de cartas e conversas informais. O tema do prazer
foi desenvolvido levando em considera??o a complexidade desse fen?meno onde sua
realiza??o ocorre de forma ambivalente e m?ltipla. Para isso partimos do paradigma da
complexidade segundo a ?tica de Edgar Morin, as reflex?es sobre o erotismo de Georges
Bataille e as compreens?es antin?micas de Lepegneur e Onfray que a seus modos definem
o prazer enquanto fen?meno que abriga ambig?idades e as refer?ncias hist?ricas de Peter
Gay, Nobert Elias, Wolf Lepenies. Em Max Weber o prazer apresenta, tamb?m, essa
ambig?idade, posto que sua abordagem cient?fica esteja registrando a aus?ncia de prazer
para o surgimento de uma ?tica protestante e, al?m disso, para corroborar com um processo
de desencantamento do mundo que nos leva a uma vida sem sentido. Weber sofre
mudan?as substanciais nos ?ltimos dez anos de sua vida. Nesse per?odo inclui em suas
reflex?es tema do erotismo e da arte como possibilidades de sairmos da rotina do cotidiano
moderno que esmaga a liberdade existencial do indiv?duo. No entanto, sua postura amb?gua
em rela??o a essas possibilidades, o leva a considerar uma situa??o de enfrentamento
pessoal, her?ico, uma vez que, para ele, cada qual assuma as conseq??ncias de seus atos e
crie seus valores para dar significa??o ? pr?pria exist?ncia. O prazer em Weber ? antes de
tudo intelectual e existencial: ao lado da rotiniza??o da vida, burocratiza??o e
desencantamento do mundo havia as possibilidades do carisma, da voca??o e da paix?o.
Mas sempre que ele percebia essas alternativas para o "mal-estar" que o mundo moderno
apresentava ao homem, ele, enquanto cientista era c?tico. Esse ? o argumento central da
tese / The thesis has as its goal the discussion over the pleasure as an intellectual and
personal subject for Max Weber. The main references are The Sociology of Religion,
Science as a Vocation and Politics as a Vocation, Bureaucracy, The sense of "Axiological
Neutrality" in Social and Economic Sciences. Many authors were researched for
information about his life, with a highlight to the biography written by his wife Marianne
Weber, for its great number of excerpts from letters and informal conversations. The
subject "pleasure" was developed by taking into consideration the complexity of this
phenomenon which happens in an ambivalent and multiple ways. In order to do that, we
started from the paradigm of the complexity according to Edgar Morin's view, Georges
Bataille's discussions on erotism and the antinomic comprehension of Lepegneur and
Onfray, who define pleasure as a phenomenon with ambiguities, and the historical
references of Peter Gay, Nobert Elias, Wolf Lepenies. In Max Weber, pleasure presents,
also, this ambiguity, as his scientific approach is registering the absence of pleasure for the
rise of a protestant ethic and, besides that, to support with a process of disenchantment of
the world which leads us to a meaningless life. Weber goes through great changes in the
last years of his life. In this period he includes in his comments the subjects "erotism" and
"arts" with the possibility of escaping from modem everyday routine that affects the
individual's existential freedom. However, his ambiguous position about these possibilities
take him to consider that a situation o f personal confrontation, considered heroical, once, in
his opinion, each one accepts the consequences o f their acts and builds their values to give
a meaning to their own existence. The pleasure in Weber is, above ali aspects, intellectual
and existential: side by side with the routine, bureaucracy and disenchantment ofthe world
was the possibility of charisma, vocation and passion. However, always he related these
characteristics to the discomfort that the modem world presented to men, he, as a scientist,
was ethical. This is the main argument ofthis thesis

experi?ncias inseridas no contexto em que sua viv?ncia ? considerada uma
patologia psiqui?trica, pass?vel (ou n?o) de ser laudada por profissionais das ?reas
m?dica e psicol?gica. De tal maneira que, a obten??o deste parecer torna-se
obrigat?rio para a realiza??o de altera??es corporais, bem como aos
encaminhamentos para as modifica??es da documenta??o civil. A metodologia
adotada foi a an?lise de discurso e as t?cnicas de pesquisa foram entrevistas semiestruturadas
e observa??o sistem?tica das reuni?es do grupo Cartografias Trans,
grupo de atendimento psicoter?pico ? pessoas (trans) do Centro de pesquisa e
atendimento ? travestis e transexuais ? CPATT em Curitiba, Paran?. O referencial
te?rico da pesquisa apoiou-se principalmente, mas n?o apenas, nos estudos
propostos pela teoria queer. Nesse sentido a pesquisa verificou a partir da inser??o

de um discurso estrat?gico por parte dos homens (trans) brasileiros em rela??o ?
despatologiza??o de suas identidades, manifestado principalmente na no??o de que
ter a identidade (trans) patologizada n?o os torna doentes. / This research analyzed the discourse of Brazilian transmen in relation to (un)
pathologizing of identity (trans). Therefore, it seeks to analyze the perception of the
meanings attributed by Brazilian transmen to their experiences within the context in
which their experience is considered a psychiatric disorder, which can be (or not) be
diagnosed by doctors and psychologists. Whereby, obtaining such permissions
becomes a necessity to perform bodily changes, as well as referrals for modifications
of civil documentation. The methodology used was discourse analysis and research
techniques were semi-structured interviews and systematic observation of the
meetings of Cartografias Trans group, psychotherapeutic care group of transpeople
to the Centro de pesquisa e atendimento ? travestis e transexuais - CPATT in
Curitiba , Paran?. The theoretical framework of the research suppoted mainly, but not
only, in the studies proposed by queer theory. In this sense the research found by
entering the field and analyzing the data brought, among other things, the existence
of a strategic discourse by Brazilian transmen toward depathologization of their
identities, manifested mainly on the notion of to have the identity (trans) pathologized
does not make them sick.

C?mara Municipal de Natal. / The Evangelical Church is an institution that presents itself as a group that aims to be a
mediator between society, the state and the country itself. However political practice
within the churches have been somewhat taken authoritarian, manipulative, intolerant
and realize this reality in the analysis of this work. While understanding that the Church
as an institution has formed an opinion about what is right and wrong in their
communities as a social institution can be seen in contemporary society growing
religious occupation of the public sphere and in all segments of Brazilian society the
presence of evangelicals. One of the challenges is the discussion of the practices of
Christ when the ownership of the mandate legitimized by the vote happens, what real
action is the "Christ policy"? What social contributions to retrieve people, places and
cities? What is the competence to work towards promoting the other gains in health,
employment, security, education? The purpose of this dissertation is to contribute to the
questioning of the current logic and prevailing construction of Christian ideals in
politics. Develop an investigation by reference to the absence of a study on the activity
of the evangelical councilors Christmas during the period 2004 -2008, order to be able
assign a value judgment based on information of projects that every evangelical
councilor exercised during the 15th Legislature, occasion that the City Council received
the highest representation of evangelical councilors in its history.

O filme condutor para as reflex?es ? Ensaio sobre a cegueira (Blindness, 2007), filme baseado no livro hom?nimo de Jos? Saramago. O filme foi escolhido justamente por abordar a quest?o da cegueira f?sica e metaf?rica como uma cr?tica da vis?o de mundo que formata hegemonicamente a contemporaneidade ocidental, capitalista, urbana e midiatizada. O realce nas rela??es sociais corresponde a um tipo ideal de sociedade onde as desigualdades e o controle social s?o extremados. Para pensar quest?es t?o densas, a constru??o te?rica se aproxima da forma de conhecimento do pensamento complexo em di?logo com pensadores contempor?neos. / The purpose of this research is to think about the contemporary addressing key issues that usually are not noticeable in everyday life. The society that privileges the image, paradoxically, in cognitively blind to the causes of most problems involving social relations. On the other hand, the iconophobia, contempt image, especially by the academy, hinders the perception of the "imaginal world" (MAFFESOLI, 2005) as it is evident. The intention is to reflect on the contemporary using the image as a research tool, following the methodological movie potential in their ability to condense the current social imagination through the film composition. The conductor film for the reflections is Blindness (Meirelles; 2007), a movie based on the book by Jos? Saramago. The film was chosen for addressing the issue of physical and metaphorical blindness as a critique of hegemonic worldview that formats the western contemporary, capitalist, urban and mediated. The emphasis in social relations corresponds to an ideal type of society where inequalities and social control are extreme. Issues to think so thick, the theoretical construction approaches the form of knowledge of the complex thought in dialogue with contemporary thinkers.

Previous issue date: 2015-03-25 / Pretende-se, nesse trabalho, compreender como a escola p?blica vem se constituindo enquanto institui??o do fracasso para diversidade sexual e de g?nero. Parte-se do princ?pio de que o sistema escolar realiza uma opera??o de classifica??o social, deixando fora de seus muros quase todos e todas que n?o dialogam com a ?normalidade? heterossexual requerida pela ordem social vigente. Em um primeiro momento, ancoro-me nas vivencias de Profissionais da Educa??o do Ensino Fundamental da Rede P?blica Municipal da cidade do Natal-RN, considerando suas narrativas enquanto resultado das pr?ticas cotidianas, que denunciam as regras que as governam e que as produziram em um contexto mais amplo. Em seguida, procuro estabelecer dialogo com estudantes v?timas de xingamentos, chacotas e maus tratos por n?o atenderem ao padr?o de g?nero tido como ?normal? a ser vivenciado dentro da escola. Nessa essa etapa da pesquisa, transito em uma Escola Estadual de Ensino M?dio do Rio Grande do Norte. A problematiza??o investigativa do trabalho ? norteada a partir das seguintes quest?es: quais desafios precisam ser enfrentados no sentido de reconhecer e garantir a perman?ncia e aprendizagem daqueles e daquelas, desde sempre exclu?dos do espa?o escolar, ou que nele estiveram apenas por breves passagens, sendo logo exclu?dos por diferen?as de orienta??o sexual e/ou de g?nero? Em que ponto a escola se encontra no itiner?rio de construir uma educa??o que valorize e reconhe?a as diferen?as sexuais e de g?nero?Os objetivos da pesquisa foram: analisar como a escola e seus profissionais lidam com a diversidade sexual e de g?nero,investigando quais pr?ticas/fazeres pedag?gicos silenciam, congelam e/ou interditam identidades plurais escolariz?veis que continuam fazendo parte da exclus?o escolar; verificar como a escola e seus sujeitos atuam na constru??o de novos sentidos para o aprendizado, para a conviv?ncia, para a produ??o e transmiss?o de conhecimento diante de ?novas? demandas sociais como ? o caso da homoafetividade; observar as fissuras que s?o abertas com a presen?a e com a voz de estudantes que demandam o reconhecimento de suas exist?ncias nesses espa?os. / This work aims to understand how the public school system has become a failing institution with regards to sexual and gender diversity. I start from the principle that the school system performs a social sorting operation, leaving out of its halls almost all people who don?t fit into the established heteronormative social order. First, I explore the experiences of primary school (Educa??o do Ensino Fundamental) professionals from the public network (Rede P?blica Municipal) of the city of Natal-RN. I consider their narratives a result of daily practices which denounce the rules that govern and produce them in a broader context. Then I aim to establish a dialogue with the students who are victims of name-calling, teasing and abuse for not aligning with the ?normal? gender standards. At this stage of the research, I conducted fieldwork at the State Secondary School of Rio Grande do Norte (Escola Estadual de Ensino M?dio). This investigation is guided by the following questions: What challenges need to be addressed in order to recognize the students who have been excluded from the school environment on account of sexual and/or gender differences; additionally, how can their classroom attendance and positive learning experience be ensured? To what degree is the school community concerned with building education practices which value and acknowledge sexual and gender diversity? The research goals were: to analyze how the school and its professionals deal with sexual and gender diversity, investigating which pedagogical practices silence, freeze and obstruct the diversity of student identities; examine how the school and its subjects work toward building new pathways for learning, for coexistence, and for facing the challenges of ?new? social demands such as homoaffection; observe the spaces that are cracked open by the presence and the voices of students who demand recognition of their existence.

Previous issue date: 2015-02-27 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior (CAPES) / Essa disserta??o exp?e o trajeto do cinema independente pernambucano da Retomada de sua produ??o na segunda metade da d?cada de 1990, at? meados de 2012 quando o setor consegue consolidar um forte Edital de financiamento (Funcultura) para as suas produ??es e paralelamente institui alguns mecanismos simb?licos que contribu?ram para consolidar este novo clico, a p?s-Retomada, s?o eles: a cinefilia e a brodagem. Por se tratar de uma cinegrafia fora do eixo Rio-S?o Paulo, ou seja, fora do grande centro de produ??o da ind?stria cultura brasileira, o cinema produzido em Pernambuco erigiu um modus operandi muito particular, onde entrecruzam-se uma base material, a consolida??o do Funcultura, com duas pr?ticas simb?licas em retroalimenta??o: a cinefilia e a brodagem. Neste sentido, buscamos n?o sobredeterminar a perspectiva material sobre a simb?lica. Com isso, seguimos o trajeto da cinefilia em comunica??o direta com a brodagem, como estas duas l?gicas pressionaram os governantes para constitu?rem um Fundo de financiamento separado das demais linguagens art?sticas do estado. Nesta perspectiva, buscamos tra?ar a trajet?ria desta cinegrafia em suas matizes n?o s? externas, como tamb?m internas aos filmes A partir da?, criamos categorias para definir e distinguir as nuances das produ??es da Retomada e da p?s-Retomada tanto no que se refere ?s op??es ?ticas e est?ticas dos realizadores das duas gera??es. / This dissertation uncovers the path of Pernambuco?s independent cinema of the Retomada, of its production in the second half of the 1990s until mid 2012 when the sector manages to secure a funding edict (Funcultura) for its films and at the same time establishes a few symbolic mechanisms which contributed to the consolidation of a new cycle, the post-Retomada, namely: cinephilia and brodagem.
Because it is a cinematography (pernambucana) outside the Rio-S?o Paulo axis, that is, outside the great center of the brazillian culture industry, the cinema produced in Pernambuco built a very specific modus operandi, in which a material basis, the consolidation of Funcultura, intercrossed with two symbolic practices feeding on each other, cinephilia and brodagem. In this regard, we seek not to establish the material perspective as the primary determination as opposed to the symbolic one. Futhermore, we followed the path of cinephilia in its direct commucation with the brodagem, and how both these logics pressured authorities to institute an incentive funding separated from other artforms in the state.
From this point of view, we attempted to trace the trajectory of this cinematography in its external nuances, but also taking into account the internal nuances of its works of art (films). Following this, we created categories to define and distinguish the nuances of the Retomada and post-Retomada productions regarding ethical and aesthetical choices made by directors from both generations.

Previous issue date: 2016-03-14 / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo discutir as possibilidades de di?logo das imagens audiovisuais com conceitos abordados na base curricular do Ensino M?dio para a ?rea de Sociologia. Ao mesmo tempo em que a imagem se faz presente no cotidiano da juventude atual, o visual se torna cada vez mais documento e instrumento indispens?vel na leitura sociol?gica dos fatos e fen?menos sociais. Inspirado nas obras de Raymond Williams, Marcel Martin, Pierre Sorlin e Jos? de Souza Martins, este trabalho busca entender como a entrada da imagem no universo da Sociologia abre um amplo terreno de indaga??es, d?vidas e experimentos que enriquecem o conhecimento produzido por essa ci?ncia e ampliam a consci?ncia de sua import?ncia. Este estudo foi realizado com estudantes do Ensino M?dio de uma escola p?blica do Rio Grande do Norte e buscou, dentro das perspectivas de Paulo Freire e Edgar Morin, direcionamentos para pr?ticas pedag?gicas que possibilitassem a utiliza??o das imagens no cotidiano escolar. O m?todo utilizado foi a Pesquisa-A??o que, atrav?s da inser??o gradual das imagens e das discuss?es que aconteceram durante as reuni?es, proporcionou o aparecimento e desenvolvimento de tem?ticas sociol?gicas. Os resultados foram pautados no discurso dos alunos e na produ??o de um curta-metragem para demonstrar o processo de aprendizagem nas tem?ticas sociol?gicas. Sob o ponto de vista do pesquisador, os jovens compreenderam, de uma maneira simples, a leitura de imagens e a linguagem cinematogr?fica, e constru?ram argumentos e propostas de interven??o no seu ambiente escolar. / This work aims to discuss the possibilities of dialogue between audiovisual images and conceptual proposals addressed in the National Curriculum guidelines of High School for the area of Sociology. Considering that the image is present in the daily life of youth, the visual becomes increasingly document and tool in sociological reading of the facts and social phenomena. Inspired by the works of Raymond Williams, Marcel Martin, Pierre Sorlin and Jos? de Souza Martins, this study aims to understand how the use of image in the universe of Sociology opens a wide field of inquiries, questions and experiments that enrich the knowledge produced by this science and broaden awareness of their importance. This study was conducted with students from one public High School of Rio Grande do Norte and, based on the perspectives of Paulo Freire and Edgar Morin, searched directions for pedagogical practices that would enable the use of images in everyday school life. The method used was the qualitative research that, through the gradual insertion of images and discussions during the meetings, provided the appearance and development of sociological themes. The results were based on both speech of the students and the production of a short film to demonstrate the learning process in sociological themes. According the point of view of the researcher, the students were able, in a simple way, to visualize images and comprehend cinematographic language, and built arguments and proposals for intervention in their school environment.
