L'éducation des élèves réfugiés du niveau secondaire en Ontario : vers un modèle inclusif de prestation de programmes et services?

Par le biais d’une étude de cas portant sur un conseil scolaire anglophone ontarien, la recherche entreprise avait pour objectif l’analyse de la mise en œuvre de politiques touchant l’éducation des élèves réfugiés du niveau secondaire en Ontario, soit la politique à l’égard des élèves English language learners de 2007 ainsi que la Stratégie ontarienne d’équité et d’éducation inclusive de 2009. La réalisation d’entrevues semi-dirigées auprès d’informateurs clés du conseil scolaire, du ministère de l’Éducation de l’Ontario et d’un organisme local d’aide à l’établissement des nouveaux arrivants, l’analyse de documents publiés par les deux premières entités ainsi que l’observation non participante à des réunions de comités consultatifs du conseil scolaire ont permis l’exploration de l’impact constaté ou potentiel de la mise en œuvre de ces politiques sur la mise en place d’un modèle de système inclusif de prestation de programmes et services en matière d’éducation des élèves réfugiés du niveau secondaire.

In this study the aim is to examine how employees in treatment programmes relate to girls that self-harm. To achieve this four questions were formulated: (1) What experiences does the empolyees have of meeting girls that self-harm? (2) Based on the employees’ experiences, what has been the background to why the girls self-harm? (3) Based on the employees’ experience, what increases or decreases the risk of self-harm? (4) How do the employees’ work with girls that self-harm? The method being used was qualitative interviews with vignettes. The theoretical framework is Becker’s Labeling Theory and Bronfenbrenner’s Ecology of Human Development. The result shows that according to the employees issues in the family is a common factor among girls that self-harm. It also shows that the employees’ opinions on how to work with the girls’ physical wounds are divided. Some think that paying attention to the wounds can increase the risk of self-harm while others think that paying attention to the wounds can be helpful for the girls.

Höftspår -en kvalitetshöjning för höftfrakturpatienten : En journalgranskning

Vårdprogram för höftfraktur har tidigare använts vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala.  Höftspår är en ny process och målet är att underlätta flödet genom hela vårdkedjan. Syfte: Syftet är att studera hur Höftspår har påverkat omvårdnaden inom områdena; smärtskattning, smärtbehandling, vårdtid, förekomst av hudinspektion samt förekomst av trycksår hos patienter med höftfraktur, i jämförelse med Vårdprogram för höftfraktur. Metod: Journalgranskning utfördes med en retrospektiv, deskriptiv och komparativ design. Urvalet utgjordes av 30 patientjournaler i grupp I, före införandet av Höftspår, och 30 patientjournaler i grupp II, från införandestart för Höftspår. Inkluderade patientjournaler var diagnosgrupp höftfraktur, >60 år, ankomst till akutmottagning med ambulans, bedömas av läkare som operationsfall med inläggning på samma sjukhus. Av de 30 granskade patientjournalerna i grupp II var inklusionskriteriet även fascia-iliaca blockad. Resultat: Resultat som framkom var kortare vårdtid på akutmottagning och en minskning i administrerad opiat. En förbättrad dokumentation av hudinspektion och smärtskattning sågs på akutmottagningen. Prehospitalt mättes ingen större skillnad i antal milligram administrerad opiat. På vårdavdelning minskade vårdtiden något och smärtskattning gjordes sällan. Hudinspektion utfördes överlag ofta på vårdavdelning men minskade något efter införandet av Höftspår. Slutsats: Vi ser en kvalitetshöjning för patienten med höftfraktur, i och med kortare vårdtider och bättre smärtbehandling. / Care-programmes for hip-fracture were previously employed at Akademiska hospital in Uppsala. Hip-track is a new process and the objective is to facilitate the flow through the entire chain of care. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate how the care-programme Hip-track has affected nursing within the areas: pain-assessment, pain-treatment, care-time, skin-inspection and pressure-ulcer of patients with hip-fracture compared with previous care-program. Method: A review of health-records was carried out with a retrospective, descriptive and comparative design. The sample consisted of 30 health-records, before the introduction and 30 health-records after the introduction of Hip-track. Included health-records: diagnosis-group hip-fracture, > 60 years of age, arrival to the emergency-departement with ambulance, assessed by doctors as a surgical-case and admitted to the hospital. After the introduction was fascia-iliaca-block a criteria for inclusion.  Results: The results that emerged were shorter care-time at the emergency-department and a reduction in administered opioid. Improved documentation of skin-inspection and  pain-assessment were seen at the emergency-departement. In prehospital-care, there were no notable differences observed of opioid administered. Care-time decreased at the ward and pain-assessment. Skin-inspection was in general often done but decreased with introduction of Höftspår. Conclusion: Hip-track is quality-improvement, shorter care time and better pain-treatment.

The concept of the material collections as the educative origin of art museums will be discussed alongside the history of collections in Europe. In addition to the concept of collection, the importance of educational programmes of art museums will be highlighted. Having derived a general notion of the educational function of art museums, the thesis will seek to answer questions such as how museology evolved in Turkey and whether the turkish museology has an educational concern. In accordance with these questions two turkish contemporary art museums will be investigated as case studies.

Le langage d'assignation statique unique, SSA, est l'une des représentations intermédiaires les plus communément utilisées dans les compilateurs industriels. Cependant l'intérêt de la communauté d'analyse statique de programmes est minime, un fait dû aux faibles fondations formelles du langage SSA. Cette thèse présente une sémantique dénotationelle du langage SSA, permettant des définitions formelles des analyses statiques du langage SSA en se basant sur les méthodes classiques de l'interprétation abstraite. D'un point de vue pratique, cette thèse présente l'implémentation des analyseurs statiques définis formellement dans un compilateur industriel, la Collection de Compilateurs GNU, GCC.

Combinaison de spécifications formelles pour la modélisation des systèmes d'information

L'objectif de cette thèse est de profiter des avantages de deux formes de modélisation complémentaires pour représenter de manière formelle les systèmes d'information (SI). Un SI est un système informatisé qui permet de rassembler les informations d'une organisation et qui fournit des opérations pour les manipuler. Les SI considérés sont développés autour de systèmes de gestion de bases de données (SGBD). Notre motivation est d'utiliser des notations et des techniques formelles pour les concevoir, contrairement aux méthodes actuelles qui sont au mieux semi-formelles. D'une part, EB3 est un langage formel basé sur les traces d'événements qui a été défini pour la spécification des SI. En particulier, EB3 met en avant le comportement dynamique du système. D'autre part, B est un langage formel basé sur les états qui se prête bien à la spécification des propriétés statiques des SI. Nous avons défini une nouvelle approche, appelée EB4, qui bénéficie à la fois des avantages d'EB3 et B. Dans un premier temps, les processus décrits en EB3 sont utilisés pour représenter et pour valider le comportement du système. Ensuite, la spécification est traduite en B pour spécifier et vérifier les principales propriétés statiques du SI. Enfin, nous avons défini des techniques de synthèse automatique de transactions BD relationnelles à partir du modèle de données d'EB3 pour compléter le cycle de développement du SI.

Investigation into the microteaching practices of Egyptian pre-service teachers of English in an EFL teacher preparation programme : implications for curriculum planning and design

Based on an interpretive paradigm, this study aimed at probing into the perceptions of Egyptian EFL pre-service teachers and their lecturers of the new microteaching course. It investigated a) pre-service teachers and lecturers' perceptions about the course focuses; b) pre-service teachers' and lecturers’ perceptions of the difficulties encountered during course application, and finally c) pre-service teachers' perceptions about the helpfulness of the microteaching course in enhancing their teaching performance during practicum. Moreover, the study aimed at utilising this investigation for developing a framework for microteaching curricula planning and design. Data collection was based on a sequential mixed methods approach, thus in the first phase of the study, the researcher administered a questionnaire to 10 lecturers and 125 EFL pre-service teachers in the third year English department at the Faculty of Education of Menoufia University in Egypt. In Phase Two the researcher conducted semi-structured in-depth interviews with 7 lecturers and 15 pre-service teachers, who also completed a reflective journal. Data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings of the current study indicated that that there are nineteen focuses of the microteaching course at Shebin Elkom Faculty of Education. These focuses have been classified into three main themes: lesson planning skills, lesson implementation skills, and lesson evaluation skills. As revealed by data analysis, lecturers devoted less time to practising lesson evaluation skills. Findings also revealed that EFL pre-service teachers and their lecturers encountered the following difficulties during peer group work: modelling the skills, planning a micro-lesson, teaching a micro-lesson, and when giving and receiving feedback. Furthermore, it was found that the course was helpful in enhancing pre-service teachers’ teaching performance at practicum concerning their professional skills rather than their personal qualities. Psychological, socio-cultural, and socio-political factors that affect the implementation of the microteaching course are discussed. Implications and suggestions for further research are provided.

Fem pojkar är fler än fyra flickor : – En jämförande studie om jämställdhet i svenska barnprogram 1978, 1992 och 2007

The purpose of this BA-thesis is to examine how many girls, boys, women and men who appear in children’s programmes in the years 1978, 1992 and 2007. We have also studied if they are described as typical gender role stereotypes and we have looked at the power conditions between girls and boys, women and men and children and adults. From the results we then examined the changes through out the years. We have made this possible by choosing two days each year when most children were watching the programmes. With the gender role theory we have brought up the important issue of the fact that men appear more frequently in media then women and by doing so the media preserve men as the standard gender. You can also apply this theory on the condition of children and adults, where the adults are the norm in the generation system. We have analysed the contents of the programmes by using a quantitative method and our results showed us that the equality between the sexes hasn’t improved as much as we had hoped for. The year 1978 sometimes had the same results as 2007 and at some parts the year 1978 was better than 2007. The year 1992 was not equal in any part except in the equality between the sexes in the starring role.

While implementing the reform of the national education system, the development of professional competence is one of the primary goals, therefore it raises particular requirements both for a schoolchild and pedagogue. Competences‘ training will help to labour the strategic goals of the further development of Lithuania – to enable its people equally in employing and developing their capabilities, receiving a proper education that answers the demands of society and speciality adequate employment. Education today is perceived as one of the cornerstones of the internal policy of the EU and the professional competences as a key to the European future, for the successful personal activity recently depends not oly from the formal qualifications acquired from the respective curriculum, but from the ability to adapt in the changing environment, where the main factor is personal competence and its potential of development.
