The diploma thesis deals with electronic commerce. The theoretical part of this work is focused on basic aspects of consumer's protection, consumer organisations and institutions providing advice and information and the rights and obligations of consumers and sellers. It describes the history and current situation of e-commerce, advantages and disadvantages, circumvention of the law when buying over the internet and specific casework. The diploma thesis also briefly informs of marketing research. In the practical part there is a questionnaire survey applied, examining the issue of electronic commerce, experiences of buying over the internet and knowledge of consumer rights. The aim of the research is to summarize collected information that is complemented by measures designed to reduce the negative impacts.

A an?lise dos dados foi feita por meio das t?cnicas de estat?stica descritiva e uma an?lise quantitativa para estabelecer o Ranking M?dio (RM) para a parte do question?rio que utilizou escala tipo Likert de 5 pontos para mensurar o grau de concord?ncia dos respondestes. Les commerçants de marché sont des inconnus de la sociologie. Le marché urbain a pourtant une existence multi-séculaire, et cette longue histoire a structuré les usages du groupe des commerçants de marché. Au delà de cette inscription longue dans l'histoire, le marché urbain a surtout su changer de fonction principale sans abandonner celle qui l'a fait naître. Ainsi cette thèse a-t-elle un double objectif. En premier lieu elle vise à dresser un tableau du marché et de ses acteurs, afin de comprendre comment un groupe professionnel confronté à l'instabilité de son installation et de ses contours peut malgré tout constituer un territoire et le défendre. En second lieu elle se penche sur les raisons qui font que l'institution du marché urbain se maintient dans un économie aux caractéristiques antinomiques des siennes. A cet égard la production de confiance est déterminante. Il apparaît que si le marché urbain se maintient c'est à travers la confiance qu'il génère, et dont il synthétise de façon exemplaire les différentes dimensions. / Urban market sellers have been quite unknown by sociology. However, a long history has structured through centuries their uses and their culture. Beyond this legacy, urban markets managed to change their main function, while keeping their original one.This research is seeking a double aim. First of all it intends to depict an accurate description of urban market and its sellers. Then we can find out how a group that has to deal with global unstability manages to build and rule a territory. Second, the point is to understand why such a micro-local kind of merchant deals succeeds in still standing in a world that is more and more globalizing. Trust seems to be the key to catch it. Urban markets do aggregate the various ways of trust, hence they are still standing and produce social ties.

Magister Public Health - MPH / Avian Influenza (AI) is a contagious viral zoonotic disease with great public health implications and negative socioeconomic impact (WHO, 2006a). The highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) infection is transmitted from birds to man mostly through contact with contaminated poultry and objects (INFOSAN, 2005), hence people who come in contact with birds such as live bird sellers (LBS) are the more vulnerable population (WHO, 2006a). Inadequate knowledge of AI health risks and poor practice of AI preventive measures amongst LBS increases the risk of spread of the infection in both humans and animals.The aim of this study was to describe and quantify the knowledge and practice of LBS with regards to avian influenza health risks and preventive activities in Agege, an urban area in Lagos State, Nigeria. / South Africa

Every year a hundreds of new Estate agents is examined, and new agency comes to, which increase the competition for estate agents. Property sellers have the option to choose the estate agent which they think is the best one that will best mediate their property at a flexible and a correct way. It has been common that property sellers choose and compare estate agents in the city, the competition is today equal outside the city as in the city. Possibly, these are other criteria that values higher in the city as outside the city. I wonder therefore what factors are important and crucial in the choice of estate agents in Nacka Municipality. The studies intentions is to give the public a better understanding of which criteria consider to be important when it comes to the choice of estate agents. The study is based on survey examination, made in Nacka municipality, and an interview with a real estate agent working in the Nacka municipality. The theory was based on previous studies in the area but also on the selling decision process and service quality in service. The criteria that were important for sellers was, that the object was advertised on Internet, that the estate agent is well-versed in the district, the estate agent's behavior, that the real estate enterprise is comprehended as reliable and serious and personal chemistry with the estate agent. A top decisive criterion for the choice of estate agents was that the real estate agent was well-versed in the district. / Varje år examineras flera hundra nya mäklare och nya mäklarkontor kommer till, vilket ökar konkurrensen för fastighetsmäklarna. Bostadssäljarna har valmöjligheten att välja den fastighetsmäklare som de tycker är bäst som bäst kommer förmedla deras bostad på ett smidigt och korrekt sätt. Det har varit vanligt med att bostadsäljare väljer och jämför fastighetsmäklare i innerstan, konkurrensen är idag lika stor utanför innerstan. Möjligen rör det sig om andra kriterier man värdesätter högre i innerstan såsom utanför innerstan. Jag frågar mig därför vilka faktorer som är viktiga och avgörande vid valet av fastighetsmäklare i Nacka kommun? Avsikten med studien är att ge allmänheten en ökad kunskap om vilka kriterier bostadssäljare anser vara viktiga när det kommer till val av fastighetsmäklare vid en bostadsförsäljning. Studien baseras på enkätundersökningar, gjorda i Nacka kommun samt intervju med en fastighetsmäklare som arbetar inom Nacka kommun. Teorin grundades på tidigare studier i området men även på säljbeslutsprocessen och servicekvalitet inom tjänsteföretag. De kriterier som var betydande för bostadssäljarna var, Att objektet annonseras på Internet, Att fastighetsmäklaren är väl insatt i området, fastighetsmäklarens beteende, att fastighetsmäklarföretaget uppfattas som pålitliga och seriösa samt personkemi med fastighetsmäklaren. De högst avgörande kriterierna vid valet av fastighetsmäklare var att fastighetsmäklaren var väl insatt i området.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks: How a Best-Seller Diffused Online

This study describes how information spread on the internet by examining diffusion, framing and source use surrounding coverage of the 2010 best-selling book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. The book presented a rare opportunity to view how a story about science, discovery and race became a best-seller within weeks after its publication. Through a mixed-methods and case study approach, the author examines patterns of coverage using Google Alerts that traced the book's online coverage in the first six months of its release. The author found that online information clustered around several themes with the most prominent describing aspects of science and scientific discovery, followed by the book's characterization as a "best seller" or "good read." Another recurring theme centered on issues surrounding exploitation in human research. In addition, the study reveals that sources who "set the frame" for coverage were most likely to be media figures, including Oprah Winfrey, Alan Ball and HBO films, in addition to newspapers and individual journalists and science writers. By examining the relationship of online frames with sources, the author found that a diversity of frames is paired with key sources: that is, multiple themes co-occur with source mentions, although the themes may not have been generated by the sources themselves. Rather, sources are linked to narrative frames by others who generate online coverage. The author concludes that, while key sources initially set a message's frame, once diffused, the message may take on other qualities.

Pamětní kniha slanečkářů na Novém Městě pražském / Commemorative book of herring sellers in the Prague New Town

The topic of this diploma thesis is the Commemorative Book of Prague Nydrlak, whose origins date back to the 17th century in the Prague New Town. The records in the book were written mainly by the merchants who travelled to Prague to trade. Most of those merchants were most likely involved in the international trade with marine fish that were imported from the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Due to the representative role of commemorative books, the majority of the merchants received their illuminations from professional artists. The introductory chapters of the thesis describe contemporary practice of business of the given period, specifics of Nydrlak in the context of the practice, the commemorative book culture of the 16th and 17th century, but also the fortunes of Nydrlak before its depositing into the Prague City Archives. A pivotal part of the paper is dedicated to the merchants themselves who would left some information about their lives in the book. Based on this source and several other archival documents, the thesis assesses the confessional, societal, regional, and proprietary stratification of the community that was assembled around Prague Nydrlak.

The professional voice has been studied in literature in various aspects and levels. However, no reference related to the professional voice of the barker has been found. Objective: describing the laryngeal alterations in sellers at public fairs in Aracaju-SE. Casuistic and methods: a descriptive study of transversal cut was done with quantitative approach. An interview was done along with a nasolaryngoscopy in 49 barkers. A descriptive analysis of data was applied. Results: there was a predominance of the feminine gender. The predominant age average was between 30 and 39 years old. The predominant symptomatology status was related to laryngeal-pharyngeal reflux disease. Laryngeal alterations were identified in all anatomic regions: subglottis, glottis and supraglottis. Conclusion: the laryngeal alterations were predominant in the subglottic region. These detected changes shows the need for further studies along with phonotrauma and other laryngeal diseases. / A voz profissional tem sido estudada na literatura sobre vários aspectos e em vários níveis, no entanto não foi encontrada nenhuma referência relacionada ao profissional da voz feirante.Objetivo: Descrever as alterações laríngeas em vendedores de feira livre do Município de Aracaju-Sergipe. Casuística e métodos: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, de corte transversal e abordagem quantitativa .Foi realizada entrevista e exame de videonasolaringoscopia em 49 feirantes.Foi realizada análise descritiva dos dados. Resultados: Houve predominância do gênero feminino. A faixa etária predominante foi entre 30 e 39 anos. O quadro sintomatológico predominante esteve relacionado à doença do refluxo laringofaringeo. Foram identificadas alterações laríngeas em todas as regiões anatômicas. Em ordem decrescente as lesões predominaram em subglote,glote e supraglote.Conclusão: As alterações laríngeas encontradas predominaram na região subglótica. Estas alterações detectadas orienta para necessidade de futuros estudos conjugados ao fonotrauma e outras doenças laríngeas.
