<p>The concept of democracy is of importance to the Swedish educational system. The best proof of that is the central position democracy has had in the education program we attended at the Örebro university. This study analyses the concept of democracy and its leading foundation, namely the so-called “deliberative dialog”. The last is belived to be an ideal of democracy which schools in Sweden should follow. This is at least how prominent academics and advocates of “deliberative dialog” Tomas Englund and Jurgen Habermas, see this phenomenon and its role in our schools.</p><p>Pierre Bourdieu, French sociologist and social theorist has though shown that there is danger in believing that dialog is the only foundation of democracy. Accordig to him in every dialog exists a certan power struggle. What Bourdieu really means is that in a dialog actors are not equal, but there is great risk that some actors get dominated by other actors. These different views of dialog and its role in the school world has inspired us. In our study we wanted to see whether there are students or groups of students, that based on gender or ethnicity are dominated by other students in the everyday classroom dialog.</p><p>The empirical part of the study shows that those who were not activly engaged in the observed classroom dialog were boys of Swedish origin. The study also shows that those who seemed to have no problem with an active participation in the classroom dialog were girls, and very often girls of Swedish origin.The results of this study are though not completely unambiguous. As the group of students we observed were of differnt gender and came from different ethnic backgrounds we choose to see them as individuals. That means that they as individuals have differnt abilities when it comes to adapt to the climate of the classroom.</p>

Habitat informel dans les quebradas de Valparaíso : dynamiques d'appropriation

L'occupation illégale de terrains dans les quebradas et la construction de véritables quartiers populaires en dehors de l'ordre établi, trouve leur point de départ dans une crise structurale d'identité du logement social à Valparaiso, Chili. On ne peut pas considérer ces actions, comme une réponse mécanique à une carence. Il s'agit d'un processus social, étroitement lié aux rapports entre les forces sociales ; où la caractéristique essentielle est d'avoir construit un milieu résidentiel " auto construit", dans l'illégalité. Par ailleurs, les quebradas comme unités territoriales et rémanentes naturelles se trouvent dans un processus constant d'occupation et de dégradation, puisqu'il n'existe pas de stratégies urbaines précises et particulières pour ce type d'environnement, en supposant qu'elles disparaîtront ainsi d'elles-mêmes, sans considérer les bénéfices qu'elles produisent pour toute la ville comme contrôleurs climatologiques. Alors dans ces conditions, quelles sont les valeurs propres des quebradas qui devront être prises en compte dans les approches futures d'urbanisation? Peuvent-elles être intégrées dans une planification urbaine particulière ? Les normes de construction en vigueur pourront être modifiées en poursuivant une intégration réelle à la ville et une administration intégrale de son patrimoine naturel? Pourront-elles devenir comme des parcs urbains qui incluent le logement social ? Nous parlerons de quebradas puisque l'usage courant à Valparaiso est d'utiliser ce terme pour désigner des petites vallées encaissées dès que l'on s'éloigne du la plaine littorale.

Målet med denne bacheloroppgåva var å studere to bøker av Tomas Espedal og Kristian Lundberg for å sjå kva deira språklege grep kunne seie oss om synet på språk og røyndom i bøkene. Eg studerte bøkene imot kunsten og imot naturen av Espedal og Yarden og Och allt skall vara kärlek av Lundberg med vekt på dei språklege verkemidla dei har brukt. Alle bøkene går innunder omgrepet sjølvframstillande litteratur og eg har jamstilt formen med dei andre språklege verkemidla for å sjå kva også sjangeren dei har skrive i har hatt å seie for å kunne utrykkje eit syn på forholdet mellom språk og verd i bøkene. Eg tok utgangspunkt i teorien rundt språkfilosofi og underleggjering i litteraturen og brukte dette som grunnlag for min komparative analyse. Det eg til slutt kom fram til er at både formen og dei andre språklege verkemidla utrykkjer eit syn på språket som utilstrekkeleg og røyndommen som noko subjektivt som heile tida er i forandring. Ein konstruerer si eiga verd gjennom ein individuell bruk av språket. Dei litterære grepa utrykkjer dette på ulikt sett, som til dømes komposisjonen som vitnar om ei uoversikteleg verd og eit minne ein ikkje kan stole på. Prosainnslaga viser til ei verd utan klare grenser og med eit behov for eit språk som kan vise til noko meir enn dei språklege bileta vi allereie kjenner. Sjølvframstillinga i seg sjølv viser til ei subjektiv røynd, med eit subjektiv språk der grensene mellom fakta og fiksjon er utflytande. Dermed kan ein forstå desse fire bøkene som eit forsøk på å seie noko meir enn det språket kan utrykkje og som eit lite klapp på skuldra som fortel deg at det finst ei sanning så lenge du godtek at den er subjektiv og konstruert i språket.

Speglingar av dopning : En studie om hur tre dopningsdömda idrottare beskrivits i Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter

Den här uppsatsens syfte har varit att undersöka hur tre framgångsrika idrottare: brottaren Tomas Johansson, friidrottaren Ludmila Engquist samt friidrottaren Marion Jones, som alla tre dopade sig under sin aktiva karriär, beskrevs i dagstidningarna Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter dels då de stod på toppen av sin karriär och dels tiden efter de avslöjades som dopade. Skillnader och likheter i rapporteringen om dessa idrottare har analyserats utifrån perspektiven etnicitet, nationalitet och kön samt om de undersökta texterna bidrar till ett skapande av ett ”vi” och ett ”dom andra”. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten för undersökningen är att olika stereotyper tar sig form i texter och att det finns och används etniska, nationella och könsliga stereotyper för att beskriva idrottare samt att dessa attribut som tillskrivs idrottarna är olika viktiga beroende på situation. Metoden som har använts är en kvalitativ textanalys där ett urval av artiklar från Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter har analyserats. Resultatet visar att alla idrottarna blev hyllade när de vann och efter de hade avslöjats som dopade blev de alla fördömda. Deras etnicitet, nationalitet och kön kommer fram i de journalistiska texterna både när de var hyllade och fördömda men används på olika sätt och har olika betydelse beroende på tidpunkt. Den individuella bakgrunden kan vid vinsten lyftas fram som något starkt och positivt för att vid dopningsavslöjandet bli förklaringen till varför denne dopat sig. Materialet visar också att de två kvinnliga idrottarna som är med i undersökningen blir inplacerade i stereotypen om kvinnan som den styrda och mannen som den styrande. Det visas också exempel på att journalisterna i det undersökta materialet aktivt skapar ett ”vi” och ett ”dom andra”. För att beskriva det egna benämner journalisterna de andra.

Uso del etiquetado nutricional en la decisión de compra de alimentos en consumidores de un supermercado peruano y otro ecuatoriano

El etiquetado nutricional es un instrumento que ayuda a los consumidores a elegir los alimentos más saludables al momento de la compra. Tanto en Perú como en Ecuador, los productos alimenticios que se comercializan cuentan con la Tabla de Información Nutricional y las Cantidades Diarias Orientativas; la diferencia es que Ecuador implementa el Etiquetado Semáforo. Describe el uso del etiquetado nutricional en la decisión de compra de alimentos en consumidores de un supermercado peruano y otro ecuatoriano. Realiza un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal, descriptivo. La muestra aleatoria fue de 434 personas, 217 de un supermercado de Lima (Perú) y 217 de uno de Machala (Ecuador). Se aplicó un cuestionario a través de entrevista personal, previo consentimiento informado escrito. La recolección fue en 3 turnos (mañana - tarde - noche) en cinco días durante 2 semanas en cada supermercado. Se hizo uso de la estadística descriptiva en el programa Excel. El 64% de consumidores peruanos usan la Tabla de Información Nutricional y el 59% de los consumidores ecuatorianos usan el Etiquetado Semáforo. Conclusión que la Tabla de Información Nutricional y el Etiquetado Semáforo fueron la parte más empleada para la decisión de compra de alimentos entre los consumidores peruanos y ecuatorianos respectivamente. / Tesis

O escritor argentino reconstrói, com a ajuda dos diferentes elementos narrativos, um corpo vivo em que a vida adquire poder, mas, também, um corpo morto com um poder ainda maior. Assim, a incidência do corpo na História argentina, apresentada no romance, demarca as rotas sociais na imagem corporal de Evita para filtrá-la, através da literatura, pelas lembranças das testemunhas que a conheceram em diferentes momentos. A construção do corpo é concebida, no romance, pelas diferentes estratégias narrativas que o autor usa para lograr seu propósito. Assim, o objetivo desta dissertação é pesquisar as diversas construções literárias que o autor faz: primeiro explorando a construção de um corpo vivo para chegar à construção de um corpo embalsamado depois de muito tempo. Será analisada, portanto, a maneira pela qual o autor constrói os diferentes tipos de corpos de Evita, usando para isso, o estudo das diversas estratégias narrativas / This research proposes the analysis of Evita's body building in Tomás Eloy Martínez's novel, Santa Evita, focusing on the narrative decisive action based on the experiences retrieved from both, the alive and the embalmed Evita's body, present in this novel. The Argentine writer reconstructs it helped by different narrative elements, an alive body full of power, but also a dead body with an even greater power. Thus, the incidence of the body in Argentine history presented in the novel marks the social routes in body image of Evita to filter it through literature, the memories of witnesses who knew her at different times. The body construction is designed, in the novel, by the different narratives strategies that the author uses to achieve his purpose, therefore, the aim of this work is to research the different literary constructions made by the author, first exploring the construction of an alive body to get the construction of an embalmed body after a long time. It is analyzed the way in which the author constructs the different types of bodies by using multiple narrative strategies

The thesis titles "The educational system in school of Tomas Bata" that is engaged in business and vocational education since the nineteen twenties by Bata in Zlin. Bata's educational system is described in the economic and social context and analyzes the demographic, economic, business, geographical and technical factors of that time, which has been proved to be crucial for its creation. The thesis also identifies the ideological sources of business education - corporate educational systems in the USA (operated in companies of Henry Ford and Milton Herschey) and focused on reasons for successful transfer of these overseas models into the environment in former Czechoslovakia. It also analyzes the major goals that the introduction of corporate training companies pursue. The thesis also deals with the different kinds of Bata School, describes their genesis and the relationship to the state education system. It describes in detail the development of the experimental schools in Zlin region and its organization, including training programs. The thesis also includes an analysis of the Bata social program that touches all sectors and activities in which Tomas Bata in the course of his life was involved. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur begreppet främmandegöring kommer till uttryck i Tomas Tranströmers dikter Preludium och Flygblad. Som analysmetod används det närliggande begreppet förgrundstekniker, som beskriver hur främmandegöring kan uppstå genom det poetiska språkets olika funktioner, samt med författaren eller poetens användning av stilistiska drag. Dessutom undersöker studien hur en litteraturundervisning som beaktar skönlitteraturens främmandegörande funktion kan utveckla elevers litterära kompetens, enligt Örjan Torells modell. Analysen visar att dikterna innehåller ett rikt antal varierande förgrundstekniker som dels kan fungera väl som utgångspunkt i arbetet med att utveckla elevers litterära kompetens, dels kan öka sannolikheten för en förhöjd estetisk läsupplevelse.
