[pt] O presente trabalho discute como o estudo das relações entre escrita e viagem pode ser um ponto de vista privilegiado para se pensar a formação e a produção intelectual de alguns escritores-viajantes brasileiros que viajaram entre o final do século XIX e as primeiras décadas do XX. Considerando-se a existência de diferentes modos de viajar e escrever, foi proposta a construção teórica de duas linhagens de viajantes cujas concepções de viagem, distintas entre si, teriam importante repercussão na escrita. Tratar-se-ia das linhagens de Nabuco e modernista. Na primeira, a admiração confessa pela cultura européia levava à travessia do Atlântico para, como intelectual e viajante, ratificar a supremacia cultural do Velho Mundo por meio do exercício de verificação. Na segunda, almejava-se a ruptura com o modelo cultural subserviente que prevalecia na época; para tanto, a verificação deu lugar à descoberta. Esse deslocamento do verificar para o descobrir estava atrelado ao propósito de se construir uma tradição cultural brasileira que justificaria a inclusão definitiva do Brasil no mapa do escritor-viajante. / [en] This work discusses how the study of the relation between writing and travelling can be a privileged viewpoint to analyse the upbringing and the intellectual production of some Brazilian traveller-writers, who travelled in the late nineteenth-century and early twentieth. Taking into consideration the existence of different ways of travelling, this work deals with the theoretical proposition of two separate traveller-lineages, whose ideas about travelling,different from one another, were to achieve momentous repercussion in writing.These are Nabucos lineage and the modernists. In the former, the explicit preference for European culture would take their adepts both as intellectuals and travellers to cross the Atlantic in order to verify the cultural supremacy of the Old World; in the latter, they would break away from the subservient cultural model prevalent at that time; thus verification led to discovery. The path leading from verifying to discovering was subordinated to the purpose of creating a Brazilian cultural tradition that would justify the definitive inclusion of Brazil in the map of traveller- writers.

Neste trabalho, realiza-se o estudo das letras ramistas [j] e [v] e de suas variantes [i], [y] e [u] em dois roteiros de viagem lavrados no século XVIII. Para tanto, faz-se uma recolha exaustiva e minuciosa em ambos os manuscritos e há também um mapa que ilustra o tema dos documentos. Gramáticas e ortografias dos séculos XVI, XVII e XVIII foram consultadas e demonstra em que medida o emprego das letras [i], [y], [j], [u] e [v] segue ou não a norma apresentada. A vida e obra de Pierre de la Ramée são abordadas de modo sintético, para que se conheça o contexto de diferenciação das ramistas, [j] e [v] de [i] e [u]. No capítulo dedicado à toponímia, pretende-se analisar como se comportam as ramistas e suas variantes em geral; além de um grafema especial, um tipo de [y] com a cauda cortada: [y], cuja referência fonética e semântica traduz-se, em tupi, no vocábulo água. A análise de dois textos com proximidade temática e cronológica e punhos diferentes deixa entrever hábitos freqüentes de uma determinada época da história da escrita e revela tendências no uso das ramistas e suas variantes. É possível constatar que a preferência no uso desta ou daquela letra dá-se muito mais por idiossincrasias dos autores do que por respeito à normatização imposta pelas gramáticas a eles contemporâneas. / The object of this investigation is the research of the ramist letters [j] and [v] and its differences [i], [y] and [u] made in two travel routes in the century XVIII. Therefore, it is made a very detailed and exhausted selection of both handwritings and there is a map which illustrates the title of the documents. It is also studied grammar books used in centuries XVI, XVII and XVIII and they show whenever the use of [i], [y], [j], [u] and [v] took place in standard grammar. The bibliography of Pierre de la Rameé is used shortly, only to recognize the context of differences in the ramist letters [j] and [v] of [i] and [u]. In the chapter dedicated to toponym, the intention is to analyze the behavior of ramist and its variability in general. It is seen a special writing, a kind of [y] with a dash in the tail like [y], whose phonetic reference and semantic is translated, in tupi, in the word water. The analysis of both texts are close in chronologic and thematic aspects but different treats permit different and frequent manners of a certain time in writing history and reveal some tendencies in the use of ramist writing and its possible for this or that letter is taken by much more for author\'s idiosyncrasies than the normatization imposed by grammar books at that age.

As características de estado de componentes de drenagem de setenta e dois quilômetros de rodovias vicinais próximas a Araraquara, estado de São Paulo, que foram submetidos à reconstrução e manutenção durante os anos 2001 e 2003 puderam ser medidas em campo e as características do movimento de água puderam ser simuladas usando estimativa de vazões. Ainda, a qualidade de viagem por estes segmentos pode ser levantada por opiniões de avaliadores treinados para observação de pavimentos. O trabalho relata e discute resultados obtidos ao mostrar que a análise de regressão é eficiente para identificar processos que definam a ordem de prioridade de manutenção de dispositivos de drenagem de segmentos de vias e orientar a escolha de ações coerentes com a melhoria de qualidade de viagens por rodovias, que coincide com a proteção dos pavimentos. Os dados utilizados foram avaliações por avaliadores treinados, levantamentos de estado de seções das vias, e estimativa de condições de escoamento de água por simulação em computadores. Espera-se que a informação sobre o comportamento de relações entre notas e propriedades de dispositivos de drenagem contribua para orientar critérios e métodos que definam prioridades de ações para reconstruir, manter e melhorar a qualidade de viagens em rodovias e proteger pavimentos e faixa de domínio / The characteristics of state of components of drainage of seventy two kilometers of local highways close to Araraquara, state of São Paulo, Brazil, submitted to reconstruction and maintenance during the years 2001 and 2003 could be measured in field and the characteristics of water movement could be simulated using estimated flows. Still, the trip quality for these segments can be lifted up from user’s opinions trained to observe pavements. The work discusses results obtained when showing that the regression analysis is efficient to identify processes to define the order of priority of maintenance of equipments of drainage on segments of roads and to guide the choice of coherent actions to improve the quality of trips for highways, because it coincides with the protection of the pavements. The used data were evaluations for trained appraisers, risings of state of sections of the roads, and estimate of conditions of drainage simulated in computers. It is waited that the information about the behavior of relationships between notes and properties of drainage equipments contributes to guide criteria and methods that define priorities of actions to rebuild, to maintain and to improve the quality of trips in highways and to protect pavements and the domain strip

Relatam-se e discutem-se resultados obtidos em tentativa para mostrar que distribuições estatísticas de contagens ou medidas sobre características de variáveis que descrevem defeitos na superfície de pavimentos, quando associadas às distribuições de notas atribuídas às viagens em segmentos de rodovias, podem ser úteis para análise da qualidade de viagens, e fornecer informações que contribuem para facilitar estudos sobre prioridades de manutenção em rodovias, identificar e sugerir ações para melhorar a eficiência e eficácia na conservação de vias. Os dados usados foram coletados em rodovias vicinais próximas a Araraquara, estado de São Paulo, de janeiro a março de 2001. Foram observados 37 segmentos onde se contaram, mediram e classificaram defeitos, e coletaram-se notas atribuídas por observadores sobre o pavimento. O processamento de dados e o uso de métodos da estatística para investigar relações foram usados para verificar a existência de relações entre os resultados de medidas, contagens e notas, e obtenção de função para estimativa de notas atribuídas por observadores, mostrando que notas atribuídas a segmentos de rodovias podem ser estimadas. As conclusões relatadas atêm-se ao caso estudado, mas indicaram que o processo adotado pode ser usado em outros casos similares. Sugere-se o uso do processo desenvolvido para estabelecer prioridades de estudo de soluções técnicas para intervenção e melhoria de pavimentos. / It was reported and discussed the results obtained in a attempt to show that the statistical distributions of measures on characteristics of variables that describe distress in the surface of pavements, when associated to the distributions of scores attributed to the trips in segments of highways should be useful for analysis of the quality of trips, and to supply information that contribute to facilitate studies about maintenance priorities in highways, to identify and to suggest actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the conservation of roads. The used data were collected local highways near the city of Araraquara, state of São Paulo, from January to March of 2001. 37 segments were observed to obtain measures and classify distress or collect scores from observers on the pavement. The data processing and the use of methods of the statistics to investigate relationships were used to verify the existence of relationships among the results of measures and scores, and to obtain a function to estimate of scores from observers, it was shown that attributed scores to segments trips can be estimated. The conclusions told should be useful to the studied case, but they indicated that the adopted process can be used in other similar cases. This suggests the use of the process developed to establish priorities on studies of technical solutions for intervention and improvement of pavement surface.

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar o romance grego , Das Narrativas Verdadeiras, de Luciano de Samósata (125-180 d.C.), considerando os objetivos expostos pelo autor no proêmio do texto e sua composição por meio da alusão a outros gêneros literários. Apresenta-se também uma tradução do texto em português. / The aim of this study is to analyze the greek novel , True Histories, by Lucian of Samosata (circa 125-180 AD), regarding the aims exposed by the author in the prologue of the text, as well as its composition made by alluding to other literary genres. A Portuguese translation of the novel is also provided.

Essa dissertação analisa alguns aspectos da narrativa de viagem Life in Brazil: or, a journal of a visit to the land of the cocoa and the palm, escrita pelo inglês radicado no Estados Unidos Thomas Ewbank (1792-1870), com base em sua viagem ao Rio de Janeiro em 1846. Impresso nos Estados Unidos e na Inglaterra em 1856, e no Brasil, somente em 1973, o livro e os textos publicados em revistas importantes do período alcançaram um público amplo. O relato mostra-se impregnado das concepções de mundo relacionadas ao campo da Etnologia, no qual se discutis a \"origem do home\" e o \"lugar de determinadas raças em seus respectivos ambientes geográficos\". Nesta pesquisa, demonstro e discuto a influência dessas concepções na escrita do relato, implicando em construções de imagens e representações de um Brasil que estaria condenado a um desenvolvimento lento e sempre inferior em relação ao da Euorpa e dos Estados Unidos / This research examines some aspects of the travel narrative: Life in Brazil: or, a journal of a visit to the land of the cocoa and the palm, written by the Englishman settled in United States Thomas Ewbank (1792-1870), since a journey to Rio de Janeiro in 1846. Printed in the United States and England in 1856 and in Brazil only in 1973, the book and the texts published in leading magazines of the period, reached a widw audience. The report shows up steeped in the world concepts related to the field of Ethnology, which discussed the \"Origin of Man\" and \"place of certain breeds in their respective geografic environments\". In this research, demonstrate and discuss the influence of theses concepts in writing the report, resulting in construction of images and representations of a Brazil that would be condemned to a slow development and always lower compared to Europe and the United States.

No fim do século XVIII, ocorreu a Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro (Região Amazônica, Brasil) do naturalista Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira. Realizada entre 1783 e 1792 foi a primeira expedição científica patrocinada pelo Império Português, naquele vasto território, a qual produziu um enorme volume documental, com registros de grande riqueza e diversidade, na área da agricultura, botânica,etnologia, economia, zoologia e antropologia. No presente estudo, realizou-se uma releitura analítica da obra de Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira, ou seja, a Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro, enaltecendo contextos históricos que a antecederam, bem como comparando-a com obras de viajantes, como Gabriel Soares de Sousa (1587) e André João Antonil (1711).As obras desses três autores parecem ter um papel social e econômico em comum, podendo-se dizer que seus textos têm uma razão política. Todos eles parecem ser influenciados ou motivados pelo mercantilismo. A expedição realizada por Ferreira recebeu influências da modernidade e do iluminismo, bem como das peculiaridades da reforma pombalina de Portugal.A Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro de Alexandre Ferreira da Silva é uma obra de grande importância no mundo colonial português, sendo um verdadeiro tratado de história natural, agropecuária e economia do Brasil, mas que ainda é pouco divulgado nos circuitos acadêmicos. O trabalho de um homem, servidor fiel de Sua Majestade que, com poucos recursos e uma equipe reduzida, fez o primeiro grande levantamento socioeconômico e ambiental da Amazônia brasileira. / In the late XVIII century was the Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro (Amazon Region, Brazil) of the naturalist Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira. Conducted between 1783 and 1792 was the first scientific expedition sponsored by the Portuguese Empire, that vast territory, which produced a huge volume documentary with records of great wealth and diversity, in agriculture, botany, anthropology, economics, zoology and anthropology. In the present study, there was na analytical rereading the work of Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira, the Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro, highlighting historical contexts and comparing it to traveler works as Gabriel Soares de Sousa (1587) and André João Antonil (1711). The works of these three authors seem to have a social and economic role in common and could be said that his texts have a political reason. They all seem to be influenced or motivated by mercantilism. The expedition carried out by Ferreira received influences of modernity and the Enlightenment as well as the peculiarities of Pombal reform Portugal. The Viagem Filosófica ao Rio Negro of Alexandre Ferreira da Silva is a great work of importance in the Portuguese colonial world and is a true treatise of natural history, agriculture and Brazil\'s economy, but that is still not well known in academic circles. The work of one man, faithful servant of His Majesty that, with few resources and a reduced staff, made the first major socioeconomic and environmental survey of the Brazilian Amazon.

Esta dissertação tem por objetivo realizar uma leitura poético-filosófica do livro Marinheiro de primeira viagem, de Osman Lins, que se destaca por seu experimentalismo literário e por inovar o gênero \"literatura de viagem\". Embora seja um livro elaborado com base na viagem que seu autor fez à Europa, onde ficou seis meses, em 1961, ele não oferece a seus relatos as características que se costuma imprimir a esse gênero tradicional, em que o autor revela suas impressões e faz descrições das experiências vividas. Ao registrar suas memórias, ele cria uma estética literária inovadora por sua narrativa insubmissa, não-linear, marcadamente fragmentada, mas poética. Nos registros, o diálogo intertextual com a tradição cultural é intenso, e destacaremos esse intercâmbio como memória que a literatura tem dela mesma. Nessa relação entre textos, ganha relevo o mítico Orfeu e sua amada Eurídice, que potencializam a poética do livro e congregam o leitor ao texto para uma leitura hermenêutica com base na estética da recepção. Quanto ao aspecto filosófico do trabalho, encontramos apoio nas idéias hermenêuticoontológicas do filósofo Martin Heidegger e sua meditação sobre a obra de arte e a poesia, que contribuem para uma reflexão acerca do evento poético que unifica os fragmentos em Marinheiro de primeira viagem. / The purpose of this work is to do a poetic-philosophical reading of the Osman Lins book Marinheiro de primeira viagem, which is distinguished by its literary experimentalism, and its innovation in the \"travel narrative\". In spite of the fact that the author created this book based on a six month trip in Europe, in 1961, he didn\'t give it the characteristics normally founded in these traditional works which mean: impressions and descriptions of lived experiences. When he writes about his memoirs, he creates a new literary esthetics with a revolutionary narrative totally fragmentary and poetic. In the author\'s notes the intertextual dialogue with cultural tradition is so intensive, that we will stress the value of this interchange as literature memoirs. In this relation between the texts, we will also stress the mythical Orpheus and his beloved Eurydice which increase the poetic in the book and gather the reader with the text for a hermeneutic reading based on the esthetics of the reception. As for the philosophical aspect of this work, we have founded our choices on the philosopher Martin Heidegger hermeneutic-ontological ideas and his meditation on the works of art and the poetry, which contribute to a reflection about the poetic event which unifies the fragments in Marinheiro de primeira viagem.

Este trabalho objetiva oferecer uma visão de totalidade da crônica produzida por Cecília Meireles e indicar caminhos que permitam compreender as linhas de continuidade traçadas entre os diversos momentos de seu fazer jornalístico, desde o das contribuições ainda na década de 20 para o Jornal; passando pelos Comentários escritos para o Diário de Notícias no início dos anos 30 e permeando todo o longo percurso desenvolvido pela artista nos vários periódicos com os quais manteve vínculos na década de 40 durante a qual trabalhou com vigor tanto conteúdos autobiográficos quanto o desconcerto do mundo em guerra e nas duas décadas seguintes em que assumiu com progressiva nitidez o papel de cronista de viagem. Ao explorar a arte, a educação e a espiritualidade como os elementos organizadores da integralidade dessa produção, seu escopo inclui ainda a pretensão de demonstrar a unidade do projeto literário da autora, através da aproximação entre o ideário expresso com clareza nos veículos de comunicação de massa e o subjacente à sofisticada elaboração de linguagem na poesia. / The purpose of this work is to offer a vision of the entirety of the chronicle produced by Cecília Meireles and recommend ways to understand the lines of continuity drawn among the various times of her journalistic work, from her contributions still in the 1920s to o Jornal, passing through the commentaries written for Diário de Notícias in the early 30s and delving into the entire long trajectory developed by the artist in the various periodicals she maintained ties with in the 40s during which she worked with vigor on autobiographical content as well as the disturbance of a world at war and in the next two decades during which she assumed the role of travel columnist with increasing clarity. By exploring art, education and spirituality as the organizing elements of the wholeness of this effort, its scope also includes the intention to show the unity of the author\'s literary project by bringing together the body of ideas clearly expressed in the mass media and underlying the sophisticated elaboration of language in poetry.

Tourism, as an important sector for the economy and society in general, also appropriates digital media to communicate with the new tourist profile. Therefore, this study aims to "Identify how tourism discourses establish contracts with the current tourist profile in digital media". In order to realize this objective, the study will take the Discourse Analysis as a theoreticalmethodological contribution and the bibliographical research for the theoretical reference on the subject. Initially, the concepts that compose the conditions of production of the texts included in the corpus of the research, which include the socio-historical, economic and cultural context that leave traces in the analyzed discourses, are approached. These concepts are distributed in the chapters: "Tourism: Globalization, Memory and Consumption" and "Communication in Tourism: Information, Virtualization and Digital Media". Afterwards, the Discourse Analysis method proposed by Patrick Charaudeau analyzes discursive marks that allow to recognize who the texts of the travel blogs makes speak, considering their instance of production, its enunciative context and the proposed contracts By the speech in question. We analyze blog posts on Viaje na Viagem, 360 Meridianos e Esse Mundo ? Nosso. At the end, the relations between the established contracts and the profile of the current tourist are recognized, verifying that the speeches are constructed to provide information to the reader and use references that contemplate the profile of the tourist of the present time. Therefore, it increases the confidence of the tourist in this type of information, considering the authors as "consultants" of trip, paper that previously was only assigned to the professionals of tourist companies. / A necessidade de informa??o na gera??o atual ? din?mica e instant?nea. O Turismo, como setor importante para a economia e a sociedade em geral, se apropria igualmente das m?dias digitais para se comunicar com o novo perfil de turista. Sendo assim, este estudo tem como objetivo ?Identificar de que forma os discursos do Turismo estabelecem contratos com o atual perfil do turista, nas m?dias digitais?. Para dar conta deste objetivo, o estudo tomar? a An?lise de Discurso como aporte te?rico-metodol?gico e a pesquisa bibliogr?fica para o referencial te?rico sobre o tema. S?o analisados posts dos blogs Viaje na Viagem, 360 Meridianos e Esse Mundo ? Nosso. Ao final, se reconhecem as rela??es entre os contratos estabelecidos e o perfil do atual turista, verificando que os discursos s?o constru?dos para prestar informa??o ao leitor e utilizam refer?ncias que contemplam o perfil do turista da atualidade. Por conseguinte, percebe-se o aumento da confian?a do turista neste tipo de informa??o, considerando os autores como ?consultores? de viagem, papel que antes s? era atribu?do aos profissionais de empresas tur?sticas.
