O objeto de estudo desta Dissertação de Mestrado é o processo de composição da personagem teatral tendo imagens da pintura como estímulo para a mobilização física e emocional do ator no momento de criação. Traz alguns conceitos e definições sobre o trabalho do ator, abordados nesta pesquisa. Propõe um breve encontro com encenadores que buscam motivações diversas em suas propostas de criação cênica e que se aproximam de alguma forma do objetivo desta. Apresenta a experiência prática sobre o processo de composição das personagens do texto “A Filha do Teatro”, de Luís Augusto Reis. Tece considerações sobre os caminhos escolhidos, sobre a repercussão da proposta na criação artística do ator e sobre encaminhamentos futuros. / The object of study of this dissertation is the process of the composition of the theatrical character having paintings as a motivation for a physical and emotional mobilization of the actor that made part of this research, in their cultivation moment. The text presents some concepts about the actor process, adressed in this research. It proposes a brief encounter with theater artists that search different motivations in their scenic developing proposals that are closer to the objective of this paper. It presents a practical experience about the character developing of the play "A filha do teatro", by Luís Augusto Reis. It evolves considerations about paths chosen and about the repercutions in the artistic creation and future referrals.

Este trabalho apresenta e analisa a Consulta Encenada a partir do encontro entre arte e a especialidade de Medicina de Família e Comunidade no Projeto de Habilidades de Comunicação do Departamento de Medicina Social da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. A pesquisa descreve o processo de criação de personagens, feito de forma peculiar, em colaboração entre atores e médicos, com inspiração em histórias de pacientes reais complementadas pela ficção. A criação, a relação entre as subjetividades dos atores e dos médicos na cena, a noção de fé cênica, o contato e atualização dos sentimentos e da memória foram essenciais para a construção do trabalho. A partir de entrevistas e de materiais como anotações, roteiros e transcrição de uma Consulta Encenada, foi possível descrever e analisar o processo de desenvolvimento do Projeto ancorando-se em estudos sobre o trabalho criativo do ator desenvolvidos por Stanislavski e Grotowski. A verdade dos sentimentos e a ideia de jogo são fundamentais para compreender o papel do ator na experiência. / This work presents and analyses the so-called Staged Appointment (Consulta Encenada) developed from the meeting between art and the area of Medical Studies called Family and Community, in the Project of Communication Skills at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. The research describes the process of creating characters, which is done in a very peculiar way, in collaboration with actors/actresses and physicians, based on real patients’ life stories complemented by fictional work. The creation, the relation between the subjectivity of the actors/actresses and physicians on stage, the concept of staging faith, as well as the contact and updating of the senses/feelings and the memories were considered essential to the construction of this work. Also, it was from interviews and from material such as annotations, scripts and the transcription of a Staged Appointment that we were able to describe and analyze the developing process of the Project having as a fundamental basis the studies of the acting creative work developed by Stanislavski and Grotowski. The truth of the feelings and the idea of the game are fundamental to understand the role of the actor/actress in the experience.

Tracking the incivility footprint : an experience-sampling smartphone application measuring workplace incivility

On an everyday basis, employees may be subjected to low intensity negative behaviours from those they work with. Uncivil behaviours may cumulatively add up over time to have detrimental effects on employees’ wellbeing and commitment to stay with their organisation. Since most of the research has been cross-sectional, capturing a snapshot in time, knowledge regarding the day-to-day effects of experiencing workplace incivility is limited The broad aim of the present research was to develop a new data collection tool in the form of a digital diary Smartphone app, to explore these day-to-day effects, measuring face-to-face and online workplace incivility. Three studies were conducted to develop and test the app. The first pilot study sought to test the proposed measures for use in the app. In particular, the commonly used Workplace Incivility Scale (WIS) was adapted to apply to online as well as face-to-face interactions. Statistical analysis of this pilot confirmed that both the face-to-face and online versions of the WIS were reliable and valid, and determined that experiencing workplace incivility via both modes was significantly associated with emotional exhaustion, and intentions to quit. On the basis of the first pilot, the app was developed and its feasibility tested in a second pilot focusing on the usability of the new app, which resulted in minor design changes being implemented prior to the final launch. The main research study sought to validate the new app and test a series of hypotheses about the day-to-day effects of workplace incivility. Participants completed an initial web-based survey and were then instructed to complete the questions on the app for one month. Multilevel analyses revealed that employees experienced higher levels of emotional exhaustion, and intention to quit on days when they were exposed to face-to-face or online incivility. The amount of incivility that participants experience on a day-to-day basis (Level 1) predicts emotional exhaustion, and intention to quit on a daily basis, and the average amount of incivility (Level 2) that participants experience also predicts their emotional exhaustion, and intention to quit when not considering other factors. Anger and fear were found to mediate the relationship between both forms of incivility and intention to quit. For the rumination-mediated models, the relationship between both forms of workplace incivility and emotional exhaustion is significantly mediated by rumination. Theoretically, this research contributes by providing insight into workplace incivility and its effects on a daily basis. Methodologically, this research advances the field by providing a new reliable and valid repeated measures data collection tool that other researchers may share to overcome and build upon the limitations inherent in cross-sectional studies.

The present work presents a case study developed at a private hospital in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. The collection of data was developed after the analysis of the revision of the literature, and he/she had as critical judgement of evaluation used by the following Unit. The work is concluded in the proposition of a strategic map that elevates the return on investment (financial perspective), in the item profitability and growth. In the search of the customer's satisfaction (customer's perspective), that is nothing else than it already exists inside of the Unit in study, just needing to be organized and aligned with the executive picture and the other collaborators. The requirements competitiveness, information, innovation and technology (perspective of the internal processes), they were indispensable to eliminate the re-work, waste and to improve the automation. It is finally, the investment and development of innovation mechanisms, they enlarge important competitive advantage in the processes for creation of value, through the ability, attitude and knowledge (perspective of the learning and growth). Mathematics In a Second Grade Classroom: The Effects of Cognitively Guided Problem Solving

abstract: The need for improved mathematics education in many of America's schools that serve students from low income households has been extensively documented. This practical action research study, set in a suburban Title I school with a primarily Hispanic, non-native English speaking population, is designed to explore the effects of the progression through a set of problem solving solution strategies on the mathematics problem solving abilities of 2nd grade students. Students worked in class with partners to complete a Cognitively Guided Instruction-style (CGI) mathematics word problem using a dictated solution strategy five days a week for twelve weeks, three or four weeks for each of four solution strategies. The phases included acting out the problem using realia, representing the problem using standard mathematics manipulatives, modeling the problem using a schematic representation, and solving the problem using a number sentence. Data were collected using a five question problem solving pre- and post-assessment, video recorded observations, and Daily Answer Recording Slips or Mathematics Problem Solving Journals. Findings showed that this problem solving innovation was effective in increasing the problem solving abilities of all participants in this study, with an average increase of 63% in the number of pre-assessment to post-assessment questions answered correctly. Additionally, students increased the complexity of solutions used to solve problems and decreased the rate of guessing at answers to word problems. Neste sentido, com base no agir linguageiro emergente em entrevistas e eminstruÃÃes ao sÃsia,realizadas com os docentes participantes da pesquisa, 1) analisamos os ingredientes que compÃem o agir do professor de PLE; 2) investigamos as representaÃÃes que o professor tem de seu trabalho, de seu papel, de seus objetivos e dos variados aspectos que caracterizam o contexto em que atua; e 3) examinamos em que medida a aÃÃo de refletir sobre o prÃprio agir motiva no professor de PLE uma tomada de consciÃncia na perspectiva da profissionalizaÃÃo. Tomamos o quadro teÃricometodolÃgico do InteracionismoSociodiscursivo (BRONCKART 1999, 2004, 2008), em diÃlogo com os pressupostos teÃricos das CiÃncias do Trabalho, notadamente da Ergonomia da Atividade (AMIGUES, 2004; CLOT, 1999; LACOSTE, 1998), como referÃncia para a anÃlise dos dados. Em termos de categorias analÃticas, privilegiamos o conteÃdo temÃtico, os tipos de discurso, as vozes e modalizaÃÃes, bem como as figuras de aÃÃo (BULEA, 2010). O resultado da anÃlise revelou que os ingredientes do agir do professor de PLE se situam especialmente, no plano do agir-referente, no que concerne a seus determinantes externos, e no plano do trabalho em geral, no que se refere à organizaÃÃo do trabalho. TambÃm verificamos que as representaÃÃes construÃdas pelo docente ancoram-se, sobretudo, nascondiÃÃes de trabalho, donde se destaca a complexidade atribuÃda ao contexto de aÃÃo inequivocamente intercultural. Por fim, observamos que a aÃÃo interpretativa do agir, construÃda com fundamento nas figuras de aÃÃo, à capaz de mobilizar no professor a tomada de consciÃncia no tocante à prÃpria profissÃo. / The present study was developed with the main objective of investigating teachers of Portuguese as a foreign language (PFL), and what they say about their work. Based on the language acting present in interviews and in instructions to the double, accomplished by the instructors who took part in this research, we 1) analyzed the elements that compose the acting of PFL teachers; 2) investigated the representations that teachers have about their work, role, goals, and about the various aspects that characterize the context in which they act; 3) examined how the action of reflecting about their own acting raises in PFL teachers an awareness of a professionalization perspective. As references for data analysis, we used the theoretical-methodological framework of Sociodiscursive Interactionism (BRONCKART, 1999, 2004, 2008), together with theoretical assumptions of Work Sciences, mainly Activity Ergonomics (AMIGUES, 2004; CLOT, 1999; LACOSTE, 1998). In terms of analytical categories, we privileged thematic content, discourse types, voices and modalizations, as well as action figures (BULEA, 2010). The results of theanalysis suggested that the elements of PFL teachers acting are specially situated in the acting-referent plan, regarding its external determiners, and in the work plan in general, concerning work organization. We also verified that the representations constructed by the instructors are based mainly on the scope of work conditions, where we can stress the complexity ascribed to the action context, which is unmistakably intercultural. Finally, we observed that the interpretative action, grounded on action figures, is capable of mobilizing in teachers an awareness that concerns their own profession.

We establish that both narrative and discourse and the realities presented in these Elizabethan tragedies, mediated through the "total bodies" of actors exposed to the assembly, allow a deep comprehension of how power mechanisms operate and how violence and revenge circulate in society. These plays elicit in the community a sense of pity for the pain of others and thus help us reach a shared understanding of vital issues that affect societies in Latinamrica. Haverá uma exposição a ser realizada na galeria de arte da Unicamp, com parte da produção artística decorrente desta pesquisa / Abstract: The research aims to investigate the relationship between visual languages and their elements as the foundation of the artistic practice and the construction of a poetic, from series of works. The works relate to events in the space around me, their figures, landscapes and objects. They speak of a daily life which is organized in ways that interfere with my apparent perception and understanding of the world. The observation of this world of appearances is translated from a variety of expressive means and procedures. The creative process includes two-dimensional expressions such as drawing, engraving or painting and the construction of folding books that turn into small three-dimensional scenarios, in which the different languages of visual arts stand and articulate. Line and color act as basic elements which, according to their arrangements and combinations, build other elements as lights, transparencies and contrast, enhancing the perception of these reports. In these notebooks one experiences new situations of apprehending space and its representation, allowing their manipulation and interference by the reader - spectator.
