Eriksson, Martin, Josefson, Daniel January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this study is to contribute with knowledge regarding how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used as a tool for communicators, as well as what impact the use of AI will have on the field of strategic communication in Sweden. By using a qualitative interview method, we have captured the knowledge and speculations in this subject amongst four prominent professionals within the field of communications who also have knowledge and experience with AI. The results showed that AI can be used as a useful tool in a variety of communicational tasks including data collection, automatization of communication, curation and production of media content. AI implementation will affect strategic communications, as it will become more about the users experience and service design, as well as representing and creating trust for the organization. Coveted competencies within the field will be skills such as human interaction and strategic thinking, to complement the shortcomings of AI.

Hurtig, Kenny January 2021 (has links)
Physical activity can be performed through for example team sports which generate mental, physical, and social benefits in relation to health. As a team sport athlete during a pandemic, challenges have arisen that require sports activities to adapt, which also affects the athletes. Handball is a sport that is played indoors with physical contact which as a result of the Covid- 19 pandemic has both been paused and shut down. The aim of the study is to investigate how handball players experience the opportunity to be physically active during a pandemic and whether this affects motivation in relation to team sports. In the study, a qualitative method was applied through purposeful sampling where six handball players in Västmanland were interviewed through semi-structured interviews. The collected data were transcribed and analyzed by manifest content analysis. The results show that there are perceived opportunities for physical activity during the Covid- 19 pandemic that required an individual training adjustment, and this has enabled more time for other things. The perceived barriers during a pandemic with limited accessibility to practice handball and less collective training have contributed to a lack of motivation to team sports. The conclusion shows that the social winning teams sport generates, and which is perceived as meaningful, has been limited during the pandemic. Opportunities and barriers have made handball players questioning why they train so much when there is nothing to train for, which also affect motivation for the sport.

Lubbad, Salam January 2021 (has links)
Previous research emphasizes the importance of the psychosocial work environment among healthcare professionals and indicates a strong link between perceived poor psychosocial work environment and ill health. Nursing staff's psychosocial work environment is characterized by a high level of stress, which reduces their control at work and leads to work situations that are characterized by tense work. To ensure a good working environment, various laws and regulations are established that employers must ensure that they are complied with. The employer is responsible for creating a safe and stress-free working environment with good working conditions where there is the opportunity for action and control. The Covid -19 pandemic places demands on healthcare in Sweden like never before and has caused changes in work at both individual and organizational level. There are clear indications that the working environment and health have deteriorated during the Covid pandemic, however, the research testifies to a knowledge gap as the problem area is limited with Swedish studies. The purpose of this study is to examine nurses experiences of their psychosocial work environment and health during the Covid-19 pandemic. A qualitative research method has been used. Selection methods are partly goal-oriented selection and partly snowball selection method. Data collection has taken place through semi-structured interviews and a manifest content analysis has applied. The results show that the assistant nurses experience a poor psychosocial work environment during the pandemic, which is characterized by deteriorating working conditions and recovery opportunities, poorer control, increased work-related stress and higher demands. Furthermore, the assistant nurses feel that the managers are lacking in their role and that the assistant nurses lack direct cooperation with their managers. However, the results indicate improved collaboration between colleagues. In addition, the work is driven by the duty to work. In summary, the assistant nurses experience a perceived poor psychosocial work environment and health during the Covid-19 pandemic overall.

[pt] A VALORIZAÇÃO DO TRABALHO DOCENTE EM AMBIENTES DE ENSINO-APRENDIZAGEM DE LÍNGUA INGLESA: UMA PERSPECTIVA DISCURSIVA / [en] TEACHERS PROFESSIONAL APPRECIATION IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING-LEARNING CONTEXTS: A DISCURSIVE PERSPECTIVE

BRENO COSTA RIBEIRO 28 December 2020 (has links)
[en] Teachers professional appreciation is of the utmost importance for their professional development. It can be achieved in a plethora of ways. The present dissertation focuses on trying to understand in which ways such valorization is perceived by three professionals of the area of English language teaching-learning in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Through individual and autobiographical interviews, each of the teachers discusses their professional journey and what motivates them to either consider leaving their profession or continue working as teachers, as they attempt to comprehend what professional appreciation is in their area of expertise. The research is qualitative and interpretative attempting to understand what motivates the interviewees. Even coming from different backgrounds (public schools, English courses and private schools), the three of them share similar visions in relation to freedom of agency, salary and identities imposed by the mercantilist agenda brought about by neoliberalism to schools. Regardless of having theoretical background knowledge about the theme, all of them echo theories about professional appreciation, also related to Applied Linguistics of the professions.

Erfarenheter med arbetet som speciallärare i matematik : Förväntningar och utmaningar i yrket – en professionsteoretisk analys / Experiences of working as a Special Education teacher in mathematics : Special education teachers’ experiences of their professional role as well as expectations and challenges in their profession

Runesson, Cecilia, Engqvist, Linda January 2022 (has links)
The aim for this study is to describe what previous work-related experiences Special Education teachers in mathematics have about their professional role and how these experiences can be understood based on professional theories. The focus with these professional theories is to observe the status of the occupation and two different ideal-types of control of the profession. The aim for this study is also to contribute with knowledge about how the Special Education teachers express the expectations and challenges they encounter in mathematics education. Digital surveys and qualitative interviews were the methods used for collecting data of which 63 answers from the survey were collected and 12 interviews were conducted. The main results show that the experiences of the special education teachers in this study are scattered. It shows that their status and how the profession is controlled is affected by surrounding factors. It can show that the profession is under construction. Hopefully will the thesis contribute with new knowledge to newly educated Special Education teachers about the expectations and challenges in their new occupational role.

Local History Awareness : And its Influence on Young People in a Post-Communist Region

M. Hassan, Marwan January 2024 (has links)
This project explores the impact of a mobile website (MWS) designed to enhance knowledge and interest in local history among residents of Eberswalde as a sample for an Eastern German post-communist city. It aims to strengthen the sense of regional identity and attachment, potentially affecting their decision to remain in or leave the region. The MWS features digitised old postcards, new images, audio memories, short films, and text about historical locations preceding communism in East Germany. Building on previous research showing that interest and engagement in local history can raise, i.a., individuals 'place attachment', 'local identity', and 'regional pride', the research's theoretical frame joins Stefaniak et al.'s (2017), Twells et al.'s (2018) and Pearson and Plevyak's (2020) research outcomes. It groups them into six spheres of effects (SoEs) and reorders them into six individual personal growth dimensions (IPGDs). While the SoEs represent a researcher's bird's-eye view, the IPGDs aim to understand individuals from a frog's-eye viewpoint. The MWS was developed using WordPress with the Divi Editor. A local choir of approximately 35 members critically accompanied the development process, from naming the domain to creating and initial testing a prototype for a location page, which then served as a template for subsequent locations. Subsequently, the MWS was evaluated on-site by five participating local individuals who were not part of the initial testing by the choir members and had at least one family member who experienced the region under communist rule. They were observed during this process, and audio notes were taken. Approximately one to two weeks later, each participant was interviewed using a retrospective semi-structured interview exploring their experiences and any possible perceptual changes regarding their local history. The results show that despite the temporal and scope limitations of the project, the short engagement with local history via the MWS has enriched participants' attachment to the city. It shows further that the worth of local history in this process lies in that sites and monuments of local history are perceived as accomplishments of the local community. This perception fosters an emotional connection and a sense of pride in being part of the locality. In contrast, the presence of natural beauty, as exemplified by the surroundings of Eberswalde, elicits appreciation. Even though nature, not being a human achievement, is admired by participants, it does not evoke the same emotional expressions or pride in belonging to the location. Both are essential for establishing a lasting bond and participation in the city's public and social life.

“I prefer Asian models over white, because I am Chinese” : En kvalitativ studie om kinesiska utbytesstudenters uppfattningar om västerländska modeller i kinesisk reklam / “I prefer Asian models over white, because I am Chinese” : A qualitative study about chinese exchange students perceptions on western models in chinese advertising

Laestander, Carl January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this study has been to, from a comparative perspective examine how the use of western models in Chinese advertising are perceived by chinese exchange students living in Sweden. The scientific approach in this study has been both with semiotic picture analysis and qualitative interviews. The study's empirical material has consisted of pictures of white models in fashion magazines published in China for example Vouge China. These pictures were presented to the respondents during the interviews, and questions were asked about them and the answers is also a part of this study's empirical material. The theoretical perspectives used in this study is based on theories about whiteness, stereotypes and occidentalism. The results in the study has shown that the whithe models are presented with high status both in the semiotic picture analysis and the qualitative interviews. It has also shown that the respondents prefer asian models over white in advertising in China, especially with products conected to the body and that the white stereotype is almost described identiaclly by all the respondents. Finally the result has found that the ethnicity is connected to picture enviroments, in that way if it is a white model it should be a western enviroment.

Eine multidimensionale Methodik zur Analyse von Bekehrungsmotiven = A multi-dimensional methodology for the analysis of conversion motives

Rink, Tobias 28 February 2006 (has links)
Summary This dissertation examines conversion motives of Southern Sudanese migrants who live in an Islamic context. First of all a theological view of conversion in scripture and its development in the church history is presented. Since every conversion is a multi-dimensional process containing not only theological problems but also sociological, anthropological and religio¬psychlogical aspects, a multi-dimensional approach and a reseach methodology are designed for above context. This methodology is used for a pilot study of five interviews with converts. Each interview is examined separately from a theological, sociological, religio-psychological and anthropological analysis. After this the different views are brought into a critical dialog in order to identify the motives of conversion which are related to cognitive-religious, mystical¬religious, affective, experimental or social-political categories. The results of all individual interviews are merged in a final analysis and reflected in a self-critical evaluation. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M. Th. (Missiology)

Zeithandeln in Projektarbeit

Meissner, Frank 05 August 2013 (has links) (PDF)
