Nessa perspectiva de resgate, recuperação, conservação de documentos que trazem informações sobre a formação e desenvolvimento da sociedade baiana, fez-se um recorte dos documentos do Livro Velho do Tombo, pertencente ao acervo do Mosteiro de São Bento da Bahia, datados originalmente do século XVI, para a realização de uma edição semidiplomática, um estudo sobre as principais dificuldades relacionadas à sua leitura, um breve estudo sobre manuscritos e memória e uma análise da argumentação embasada no Tratado da Argumentação: a nova retórica, de Chaim Perelman e Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca. / The documents are of great importance for reconstructing the history and so, every day growing interest in its recovery, which is held, among other ways, by editing the text, the Textual Criticism, which, with its methods creates a new record and thus enables further transmission of written culture, both in relation to its historical value, as in regard to the study of a language, which is important for understanding the cultural background of the people that talk. In this perspective of rescue, recovery, preservation of documents that provide information about training and development of Bahian society, it was a clipping of the documents of the Livro Velho do Tombo, that belongs to the collection of the Benedictine Monastery of Bahia, originally dating from the sixteenth century, for performing a semidiplomatic edition, a study about the main difficulties related to reading, A short study of manuscripts and memory and an analysis of arguments based in the Tratado da Argumentação: a nova retórica, by Chaim Perelman and Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca.

Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais / Visando ao aprimoramento do ensino de produção de textos no curso médio, examina-se nesta tese em dissertações argumentativas de vestibulandos o uso equivocado (ou o equivocado não-uso) de conjunções e equivalentes como introdutores de teses, argumentos, concessões e restrições. A análise do corpus revelou um elevado índice de correlações sindéticas mal formuladas, entre esses constituintes textuais, bem como do assindetismo inadequado, características que comprometem, ora localmente, ora globalmente, a coerência do texto. Na análise, levou-se em conta o contrato de comunicação da dissertação escolar na situação comunicativa específica do exame de seleção para ingresso na universidade. / Aiming at to the improvement of the education of production of texts in the high school course, it is examined in this thesis in argumentative dissertations of students the mistaken (or the erroneous no-use) of conjunctions and equivalents as introductory of theses, arguments, concessions and restrictions. The analysis of corpus disclosed a high index of syndetic correlations badly formulated, between these textual constituents, as well as of inadequate asyndeticism, characteristics that compromise, one moment local, the next globally, the coherence of the text. In the analysis, it was taken into consideration the contract of communication of the school dissertation in the specific communicative situation of the university entrance examination

Esta dissertação consiste primordialmente na descrição e interpretação do item lexical mas nas crônicas de Luis Fernando Verissimo, seguindo uma abordagem sintático-semântico-discursiva. O vocábulo mas é identificado nos textos de acordo com sua posição nos enunciados e analisado a partir desse ponto de inserção. Devido à variedade de emprego de tal item lexical, relacionando termos, orações, períodos, parágrafos e porções maiores de texto, evidenciou-se seu papel na construção da coesão, da progressão textual, da coerência, da delimitação de etapas discursivas e da orientação argumentativa dos segmentos de discurso. Pretendeu-se uma melhor compreensão das crônicas de Luis Fernando Verissimo através da marca lingüística do item lexical mas. / This dissertation consists of primarily in the description and interpretation of the lexical item but in cronics of Luis Fernando Verissimo following a syntax-semantics-discursive approach. The word "but" is identified in texts in accordance with its position in a sentence and analyzed from this insertion point. Due to the variety of implementations of such lexical item and related terms, sentences, periods, paragraphs and larger portions of text, its role in the construction of cohesion, coherent textual progression, limitations of discursive phases, and the argumentative orientation of the discurses was evidenced. A better understand of the cronics of Luis Fernando Verissimo is accomplished through the linguistic makr of the lexical item but.

Esta dissertação tem como objetivo revelar o potencial de avaliação subjetiva, explícita ou implícita, dos predicativos de um importante gênero argumentativo na sociedade: a sentença judicial. Para isso, busca analisar esse gênero sob a perspectiva da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional, teoria introduzida pelo linguista inglês Michael Halliday, que cuida da linguagem como um sistema de estratos gramaticais e extralinguísticos, nos quais se desenvolvem os conceitos de contexto de situação (registro) e de cultura (gênero). A respeito dos aspectos linguísticos, a análise da oração sob o ponto de vista de uma das metafunções inerentes à linguagem, a interpessoal, revela as interações desenvolvidas na materialização de um texto. Após a apresentação dessa teoria linguística e do enquadramento do gênero sentença judicial nessa abordagem, com a desmistificação da neutralidade de seu emissor, o juiz, passou-se a descrever como o magistrado estrutura a sua fundamentação nas sentenças que tem de prolatar mediante o uso de recursos argumentativos. Em seguida, na pesquisa do corpus selecionado, sentenças judiciais da Justiça Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro proferidas no ano de 2011, foram analisadas as ocorrências da estrutura predicativa como estratégia argumentativa de convencimento, às partes e à sociedade, de que a decisão tomada para resolver o conflito judicial foi a mais ponderada e condizente com a verossimilhança dos fatos apresentados no decorrer do processo judicial / This master degree dissertation aims to reveal the subjective evaluation potential, explicit or implicit, of the predicatives on a important argumentative genre: the judicial sentence. For that purposes, it analyzes this genre through Systemic Functional Linguistics, theory brought by linguist Michael Halliday that treats language as a grammatical and extralinguistic strata system, in which evolve the concepts of context of situation (register) and of culture (genre). Regarding the linguistic aspects, the clause analysis under the view of the language metafunctions, the interpersonal one, shows the interaction within the instantiation of any text. After presenting this linguistic theory and framing judicial sentence into this approach, with the demystification of neutrality of its speaker, the judge, it explains how the magistrate structures, in the sentence he has to present, the reasonable basis by the use of argumentative resources. At last, in the select corpus research, judicial sentences of Federal Justice in Rio de Janeiro, given in 2011, were analyzed the occurrences of predicatives structures as a argumentative strategy of conviction, to the parts and the society, that the decision made to solve the judicial conflict was the most balanced and truthful to the likelihood of the facts shown during the litigious judicial process

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / O propósito deste trabalho é analisar os conetivos, ferramentas linguísticas que se propõem nos enunciados a estabelecer ligação, do ponto de vista funcional, em seus usos, e que representam valores semânticos importantes discursivamente. Para isso, será válido utilizarmos fundamentações teóricas da Linguística Textual e do Funcionalismo. O corpus de análise baseia-se em textos cuja tipologia é argumentativa, mais especificamente o gênero editorial. Dessa forma, procuraremos analisar como esses conectivos (conjunções, preposições, advérbios...) revelam marcas semânticas importantes que se constituem como verdadeiras estratégias argumentativas por parte dos autores em sua proposta temática e que precisam ser reconhecidas pelo leitor para uma compreensão textual mais abrangente. Essa forma de abordagem implicará análises de coesão e de coerência textuais e, por isso, é também uma proposta de avaliação de como os textos são constituídos em sua tessitura, resultando na produção de sentido. Os textos em análise serão os correspondentes aos editoriais da revista Veja, cujo titulo da seção chama-se Carta ao leitor. As abordagens colocarão em relevo os elementos conectores tanto do ponto de vista sintático-semântico bem como em relação às implicações pragmático-discursivas, fatores que servirão de base para compreensão/interpretação dos textos. Espera-se com isso proporcionar análises contundentes, levando em consideração a descrição, estruturação e o funcionamento da Língua portuguesa, com o objetivo de colaborar para o desenvolvimento científico das abordagens linguísticas / The objective presented herein is the analysis of connectives, linguistic tools for the establishment of linking within the sentences, from the Functional perspective, and representative of semantic values important in discursive terms. Thus, the theoretical bases of Text Linguistics and Linguistic Functionalism are considered. The corpus of analysis is composed of texts of the argumentative type, of the editorial genre, more specifically. For this reason, we analyze how these connectives (conjunctions, prepositions, adverbs ...) reveal important semantic marks that are considered true argumentative strategies by authors in their thematic intention and that also need to be recognized by the reader for a broad textual comprehension. This approach involves the analysis of cohesion and textual coherence and, therefore, it is also a proposal for the assessment of how texts are constituted in its inner texture, leading to the production of meaning. The texts analyzed were extracted from Veja newsmagazines editorial, from the section called "Carta ao Leitor" (Letter to the Reader). The approaches highlight the connectives from the syntactic-semantic point of view as well as in relation to the pragmatic-discursive implications, and both aspects converge as the basis for understanding texts. We expect herein to provide blunt analyses which take into account the description, structuring and functioning of the Portuguese language, with the objective of collaborating in the scientific development of linguistic approaches

Com base nos pressupostos teóricos da Linguística Textual e Análise do Discurso, esta dissertação pretende demonstrar que a intertextualidade e a interdiscursividade são elementos linguístico-discursivos fundamentais que atuam no gênero charge na construção de seu sentido, funcionando como importantes recursos argumentativos. Para tanto, o estudo buscará recuperar o contexto de produção das charges analisadas, estabelecer a estreita relação entre o verbal e o não verbal para construção do sentido desse gênero e reconhecer o discurso irônico como uma forma produtiva pela qual a intertextualidade e a interdiscursividade se marcam no gênero em questão, evidenciando o papel argumentativo desses mecanismos dialógicos. O trabalho é desenvolvido mediante pesquisa bibliográfica e análise de 20 charges de Angeli e Glauco referentes ao primeiro mandato do governo Lula. O recorte temporal justifica-se por ter sido um período de efervescência política muito grande, favorecendo a produção de charges bastante expressivas / Based on theoretical assumptions of Textual Linguistics and Discourse Analysis, this dissertation intends to demonstrate that intertextuality and interdiscursivity are fundamental linguistic-discursive elements operating in the political cartoon genre in the construction of meaning, functioning as important argumentative resources. Therefore, there is need to retrieve the context of production of the analyzed cartoons, establish the close relationship between the verbal and the nonverbal to build the meaning of this genre and recognize the ironic speech as a productive way the intertextuality and the interdiscursivity are marked in the genre studied, showing the argumentative role of these dialogic mechanisms. The study is developed through bibliographic search and analysis of 20 political cartoons by Angeli and Glauco related to the first term of the Lula government. The choice is justified because it was a very great political effervescense period, favoring the production of very expressive cartoons

Orientadora: Profª Drª Patrícia Del Nero Velasco / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal do ABC, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia, 2017. / Busca-se, na presente dissertação, elucidar a natureza da argumentação a partir da concepção sistematizada por Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca no Tratado da argumentação: a nova retórica (2005), bem como estabelecer uma relação entre o exercício argumentativo e a concepção de uma filosofia do pluralismo. Para tanto, o texto é dividido em três momentos. O primeiro consiste em uma discussão acerca da natureza da argumentação na Grécia antiga a partir dos conceitos de retórica e dialética formulados por Platão e Aristóteles e a partir também da prática argumentativa exercida pelos sofistas ¿ que serviram de substrato para a proposta cunhada pelo autor belga e sua colaboradora. Em um segundo momento, procura-se especificar a natureza da argumentação no âmbito d¿A Nova Retórica como retomada dos conceitos gregos de retórica e dialética, destacando a racionalidade que essa representa (e que se contrapõe à racionalidade comum à modernidade, a qual se configura pertinente no âmbito das ciências naturais e formais, mas se desvanece da relação com o outro). No terceiro e último capítulo, empreende-se o esforço de relacionar a referida concepção de argumentação dialético-retórica com a concepção de filosofia do pluralismo, composta das noções de escuta, tolerância, não-violência e alteridade, pressupostas e reiteradas pela prática argumentativa proposta por Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca. / This dissertation aims to explore the nature of the argumentation from the conception systematized by Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca in the Treaty of Argument: a new rhetoric (2005), as well as to establish a relation between the argumentative exercise and the conception of a philosophy of pluralism. To do so, the text is divided into three moments. The first consists of a discussion about the nature of argumentation in ancient Greece, from the concepts of rhetoric and dialectics formulated by Plato and Aristotle, and of the argumentative practice exercised by the sophists - which served as a substrate for a proposal coined by the Belgian author and his collaborator. Secondly, it seeks to specify the nature of the argumentation in the New Rhetoric as a resumption of the Greek concepts of rhetoric and dialectic, highlighting a rationality that is represented (one that is a counterproposal to the common rationality of modernity ¿ that works with the natural and formal sciences, but doesn¿t consider otherness. The third and last chapter relates the conception of argumentation with the conception of Philosophy of Pluralism composed of the notions of listening, tolerance, non-violence and otherness presupposed and reiterated by the argumentative practice proposed by Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca.

O objeto deste estudo é a análise do comportamento da palavra nos discursos de posse dos Presidentes do Supremo Tribunal Federal, tendo como foco o enunciador e o lugar que ocupa no mundo em que constrói seu discurso, quando toma a palavra que lhe é de direito. Verificamos as relações de poder estabelecidas pela palavra e a ação que ela é capaz de realizar: a construção de imagens, a percepção do outro no momento do costuramento discursivo e os ajustamentos necessários entre o eu e o outro para o desenvolvimento da argumentação. Considerando que o poder imanente da palavra política é premissa fundamental para identificar o ethos dos enunciadores discursivos, demos, pois, enfoque ao modo como se dá a sua constituição nesses discursos, tendo em vista a representação histórica, social, linguística e discursiva dos sujeitos enunciadores, cuja identidade individual ou coletiva, bem como a do auditório a que se destina inscreve o binômio língua/sociedade como premissa fundamental para a realização do estudo da estrutura linguística utilizada em sua redação. Analisar os discursos de posse dos presidentes do Supremo Tribunal Federal, nos últimos 47 anos da República no Brasil, permite que apontemos uma das imagens do Poder Judiciário, forjada pelos membros do próprio Poder e o espelhamento inegável entre presidência e presidentes; que observemos as características que os inserem em determinados domínios discursivos e o contrato que confirma a interdependência e relevância de enunciador e auditório para a constituição do ethos de credibilidade nesses discursos, que tratamos como subgênero textual do gênero discurso de posse; que identifiquemos os ajustamentos e interação entre a tríade enunciador, discurso e auditório responsável pelo desenvolvimento da argumentação e da construção de uma das faces do ethos do Poder Judiciário / The objective of this study is to analyze how words act in the inaugural addresses of Chiefs Justice of the Supreme Court, focusing on the speaker and the place he/she occupies in the world within he/she creates his/her speech, during the moment he/she has the right to speak. The relations of power established by the word and the action the same is capable of realizing: image construction, the otherness perception at the moment of creating the discourse and the necessary adjustments between the "self" and the "other' in order to develop argumentation. Considering that the immanent power of the political word is the basic premise to identify the ethos of the discourse announcers, it was emphasized on how it is constituted in these speeches, being aware of the historical, social, linguistic and discursive representation of the speakers, whose individual or group identity, as well as the audience to whom is addressed inscribes language and society as a basic premise to realize the study of the linguistic structure that was used in their composition. Studying the inaugural addresses of Chiefs Justice of the Supreme Court in the last 47 years of Republic in Brazil, allows us to point out one of the images of the Judicial Power, created by its own members, and the reflection between presidency and presidents; to observe the characteristics that inscribe them in certain discursive domains and the "contract" that confirms the interdependence and relevance of the announcer and audience for the constitution of the ethos of "reliability" in these speeches, which we identify as " inaugural address/speech"; to identify the adjustments and interaction between the three parts: announcer, address/speech and audience responsible for the development of the argumentation and the building of one of the faces of the ethos of the Judicial Power

Neste trabalho, apresenta-se um estudo da argumentação no gênero carta do leitor de jornal, analisando sua natureza, sua estrutura geral e sua linguagem. O corpus é um conjunto de 74 textos, publicados entre julho e outubro de 2008, no jornal O Globo, no primeiro caderno, na seção Opinião. Objetivou-se, nesta pesquisa, expor alguns dos principais conceitos e perspectivas no que diz respeito à argumentação, tendo como bases teóricas a Semântica Argumentativa e a Linguística Textual, assim como examinar os fatores que delimitam a carta de leitor como um gênero textual específico, de caráter argumentativo. Além disso, apresentou-se análise da estrutura geral dos textos, em seus elementos principais tema, tese e argumentos , e comentaram-se aspectos relativos ao tipo de linguagem adotada, principalmente em relação à polifonia e ao emprego de conectivos. Por fim, propuseram-se estratégias e atividades para o trabalho com argumentação em sala de aula do ensino médio, utilizando como material as cartas dos leitores

Os editoriais são textos argumentativos que expõem a visão do jornal, do qual fazem parte, sobre um determinado acontecimento. Na construção destes textos, o jornalista dispõe de estratégias que o auxiliam na produção de sua argumentação. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar quais estratégias são utilizadas nos textos de editoriais. As estratégias estudadas neste trabalho são a citação, o argumento de autoridade, as aspas, a seleção lexical (índices de avaliação e indicadores atitudinais, metáforas, termos semanticamente relacionados, etc), as porcentagens, estatísticas e dados numéricos, as exemplificações, a concessão e os modalizadores. Para tanto, foram selecionados vinte e quatro textos de editoriais do jornal O Globo, adquiridos semanalmente, ao longo do primeiro semestre de 2008. Através da análise, foi observado que tais estratégias se mostraram recorrentes e que as mesmas trouxeram contribuição para o propósito comunicativo do argumentador, bem como auxiliaram na busca da persuasão do leitor / The editorials are argumentative texts that show the vision of the periodical in which they are part on one specific event. About texts constructions, the journalist makes use of strategies that help him in the arguments productions. This work has as objective to analyze which strategies are used in the editorial texts. The strategies studied are citation, the authority, the quotations marks, the lexical election (indices of evaluation and attitude indicators, metaphors, terms semantically related etc), the percentages, statistics and numerical data, the exemplifications, the concessive elements and the modality. Thus, twenty and four editorial texts of the O Globo periodical had been selected, acquired weekly, throughout the first semester of 2008. Through the analysis, was observed that such strategies had shown recurrent and had brought contribution for the argumentative`s communicative intention, as well as had assisted in the search of the persuasion of the reader
