Long before its discovery by western civilization, the forest had already been occupied and used by native populations. The increasing occupation of this biome has generated landscapes composed of a mosaic of forests of different ages that resulted from its usage and that overlap in space and time. Remaining fragments are still subject to manmade impacts including edge effects. Based on these concepts, a study was conducted aiming at understanding the edge effects, on structure and composition, of two areas of Atlantic Rain Forest in the Pedra Branca State Park in Rio de Janeiro, RJ; one located in the valley basins (Ca?ambe river basin), and the other at the limit of the drainage (Grande river basin). At each area, were choosed two sites; one near to the edge and other over 100m from the edge (forest interior). The sites were: valley basin?s edge (Bfv), valley basin?s interior (Ifv), limit of the drainage?s edge (Bdd) and limit of the drainage?s interior (Idd). Changes caused by the existence of a edge, included the assess of a biotic edge effects, using for it changes in the species richness, individuals density, diameter and height. Individual trees and shrubs with diameter at breast height (dbh) > 5 cm were sampled within 32 plots of 10 x 10 m for a total sample size of 0.32 ha. The samples yielded 309 individuals of 77 species, 70 genera and 32 families. The total basal area was 28,89 m2/ha and density was 966 ind./ha. Leguminosae, Meliaceae e Sapotaceae were found to be the richest families. The number of total species is comparable to the referenced values for preserved forests, inventoried in the southeast. The edges species richness (Bfv and Ifv) similar to the interiors species richness (Ifv and Idd). Mean diameter varied form 32, 9 cm and 36,2 cm in the edges and 42,2 cm and 53,1 cm in the forests interiors. Probably, the sampled edges finds itself in a state of natural regeneration and represents an inicial successional state, different to the intermediary sucessional state in the interiors. The index of S?rensen between the four sites may occurs due to the different slope orientation, geomorphologic situation and land use history. / A Mata Atl?ntica ? um dos biomas mais amea?ados do mundo. Desde antes de sua descoberta pelo ocidente, a floresta j? era utilizada e apropriada por popula??es nativas. Com a intensifica??o da ocupa??o deste bioma, geraram-se paisagens compostas por mosaicos de florestas de diferentes idades, provenientes de usos diversos, que se sobrep?em no tempo e no espa?o. Os fragmentos remanescentes est?o ainda sujeitos a v?rios impactos antr?picos, tais como os efeitos de borda. Desta forma, procura-se analisar como a din?mica homem-natureza exerce suas influ?ncias na transforma??o da paisagem. Procurou-se compreender os efeitos de borda na estrutura e composi??o de duas ?reas de Mata Atl?ntica, localizadas no Parque Estadual de Pedra Branca na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, RJ; uma localizada no fundo de vale (bacia do rio Ca?ambe) e a outra no divisor de drenagem (bacia do rio Grande). Em cada ?rea de estudo, foram selecionados 2 s?tios amostrais; um adjacente ? borda e o outro distante a cerca de 100 metros da borda (interior de floresta). Os quatro s?tios amostrais foram denominados borda de fundo de vale (Bfv), interior de fundo de vale (Ifv), borda do divisor de drenagem (Bdd) e interior do divisor de drenagem (Idd). As mudan?as provocadas pela exist?ncia de uma borda envolveram avalia??es de efeitos biol?gicos, utilizando como ferramenta a riqueza de esp?cies, a densidade, estrutura diam?trica e de tamanho dos indiv?duos. Para a amostragem das ?reas, foram implantadas 32 parcelas, de 100 m? (0,32 ha), sendo que o crit?rio de inclus?o adotado foi DAP ? 5 cm. Foram amostrados 309 indiv?duos de 77 esp?cies, 70 g?neros e 32 fam?lias. A ?rea basal total foi de 28,89 m2/ha e densidade de 966 ind./ha. Leguminosae, Meliaceae e Sapotaceae apresentaram os maiores valores de riqueza de esp?cies. O n?mero total de esp?cies amostradas foi compat?vel com forma??es assemelhadas do sudeste Brasileiro. As bordas apresentaram uma riqueza de esp?cies pr?xima ? das ?reas interioranas. Os di?metros m?dios variaram entre 32,9 cm e 36,2 cm nas bordas e 42,2 cm e 53,1cm nos interiores de floresta. Provavelmente, as bordas amostradas encontram-se em est?gio de regenera??o natural, representando grupos sucessionais iniciais, distintos daqueles que ocorrem no interior da floresta. A n?o similaridade das ?reas, aferida com o uso do ?ndice de S?rensen mostrou que cada uma das ?reas ? constitu?da por conjuntos de esp?cies caracter?sticas. Estes resultados podem ser atribu?dos ?s diferentes orienta??es de encosta, situa??o geomorfol?gica e aos usos pret?ritos das ?reas.

We believe that the agricultural school curriculum should provide the training of students in three basic dimensions: food production in a sustainable way; fixing of man in the field; conservation and environmental recovery. We used a qualitative-quantitative research methodology, culminating in the application of questionnaires with open and closed questions. 30 questionnaires were applied, initially separating the participating and non-participating groups; 30 questionnaires with rural pineapple producers and 30 questionnaires, in the final project stage, with the group of participating students. For the evaluation of the questions applied to the students, pre-tests and post-tests were performed. For qualitative analysis, conceptual maps to farmers were applied as a teaching and learning tool. This pedagogical practice aimed to favor the development of the students? autonomy and the relationship of previous knowledge with those seized. In the quantitative analysis, parametric (ANOVA and Tukey?s Test) and non-parametric tests (Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn?s Test) were used. At the end of the methodological proposal an exhibition of empty containers of agrochemicals was carried out, in order to sensitize the student community about the potential of environmental damages and the health of residents of the region. / Esta pesquisa foi realizada no Instituto Federal de Educa??o do Par? ? IFPA, Campus Concei??o do Araguaia, com trinta estudantes, sendo quinze do curso de Gest?o Ambiental e quinze do curso de Agronomia, com in?cio no ano letivo de 2015. O objetivo principal foi desenvolver e avaliar pr?ticas educativas sobre o uso racional de herbicidas na abacaxicultura, cultura de destaque do munic?pio em estudo. Acreditamos que o curr?culo escolar agr?cola deve proporcionar a forma??o dos discentes em tr?s dimens?es b?sicas: a da produ??o de alimentos de forma sustent?vel; a fixa??o do homem no campo e a conserva??o e recupera??o ambiental. Utilizamos uma metodologia de pesquisa quali-quantitativa, culminando com a aplica??o de question?rios com perguntas abertas e fechadas. Foram aplicados 30 question?rios inicialmente separando os grupos participantes e n?o participantes; 30 question?rios com os produtores rurais de abacaxi e 30 question?rios na etapa final de projeto, com o grupo de estudantes participantes. Para an?lise qualitativa foram aplicados mapas conceituais com os agricultores, como ferramenta de ensino e aprendizagem. The Amazon region has high diversity and plant richness and it is in this biome that is the study area, in the National Forest of Jamari, is a Conservation Unit of Multiple Use. In this FLONA there are eight mines under a PRAD because there has been since the 1960s the exploration and mining of cassiterite to obtain tin. The opening of cavas for the exploration is done in the open, performed almost mechanically, leaving the environment at the end very degraded and its restoration demands resources and time. In general, the recovery of the landscape of an area of cultivation is done with the use of planting heterogenous species of the same biome, aiming to cover the soil and induce natural regeneration. In the areas of mines the type of substrate influences in the development and fixation of the vegetal species in the area. The objectives were to map the soil cover, the creation of future scenarios of revegetation using a prediction program. In these mines the types of substrates that were classified in tillage (PL), dry tail (RS), wet tail (RU), washed tail and washing plant (WP) were mapped. Using four high spatial resolution images of the years 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015, the typologies were classified as soil exposed, field dirty, capoeira, vegetation thin, intermediate, dense. The areas occupied by each typology for each of the years studied in the mines were compared in order to quantify the converted areas of exposed soil in vegetated areas and the dynamics of the present vegetation cover. Future scenarios for the years 2020 to 2065 were modeled using the Dinamica-EGO, a program used for simulation and prediction of natural environments in particular deforestation. The validation of the generated maps was done using fuzzy similarity. The results obtained for the future scenarios were similar to those observed and the dynamics of the five typologies used evolved in a manner consistent with that observed, with some mines having a better development in a shorter time according to the type of substrate and age of the plantations. / A utiliza??o de geotecnologias auxilia no acompanhamento e quantifica??o do desenvolvimento e modifica??o da paisagem. A regi?o Amaz?nica tem alta diversidade e riqueza vegetal e ? nesse bioma que est? a ?rea de estudo, na Florestal Nacional do Jamari, uma Unidade de Conserva??o de uso m?ltiplo. Nessa FLONA h? oito minas sob um PRAD pois houve desde a d?cada de 1960 a explora??o e lavra de cassiterita para obten??o de estanho. A abertura de cavas para a explora??o ? feita a c?u aberto, realizada de forma quase toda mec?nica, ficando o ambiente ao final muito degradado e sua restaura??o demanda recursos e tempo. De modo geral, a recupera??o da paisagem de uma ?rea de lavra ? feita com o uso de plantio de esp?cies heterogenias do mesmo bioma, visando recobrir o solo e induzir a regenera??o natural. Nas ?reas de minas o tipo de substrato influencia no desenvolvimento e fixa??o das esp?cies vegetais na ?rea. Os objetivos foram mapear a cobertura do solo, a cria??o de cen?rios futuros de revegeta??o usando um programa de predi??o. Nestas minas foram mapeados os tipos de substratos que s?o classificadas em piso de lavra (PL), rejeito seco (RS), rejeito ?mido (RU), rejeito capeado e washing plant (WP). Utilizando quatro imagens de alta resolu??o espacial dos anos 2009, 2011, 2013 e 2015, foram classificados as tipologias solo exposto, campo sujo, capoeira, vegeta??o rala, intermedi?ria, densa. As ?reas ocupadas por cada tipologia, para cada um dos anos estudados nas minas foram comparados visando quantificar as ?reas convertidas de solo exposto em ?reas vegetadas e a din?mica da cobertura vegetal presente. Cen?rios futuros para os anos de 2020 a 2065 foram modelados utilizando o Din?mica-EGO, programa utilizado para simula??o e predi??o de ambientes naturais em especial desmatamento. A valida??o dos mapas gerados foi feita utilizando similaridade fuzzy. Os resultados obtidos para os cen?rios futuros foram em similares ao observado e a din?mica das cinco tipologias utilizadas evolu?ram de forma condizente com o observado, tendo algumas minas melhor desenvolvimento em um menor tempo de acordo com o tipo de substrato e idade dos plantios.

Nevertheless, they have great biological diversity, the Bromeliaceae being one of the most representative of these habitats. This study aimed to evaluate the composition, richness and assemblage structure of Bromeliaceae in two areas of restinga located on the island of Marambaia, Mangaratiba, RJ. We established 50 plots of 100 m2 on each of two areas: the Restinga of Praia da Arma??o (RPA) and the Restinga da Praia Grande (RPG). These plots were placed in lines parallel to the beach with 10 meters apart. In each plot were recorded richness and abundance of epiphytic and terrestrial bromeliads and measured the morphometric characteristics of the host tree, as well as vertical and horizontal distributions of epiphytic species. We sampled 11 species of bromeliads and three new records for Marambaia, bringing the richness of this locality for 21 species of Bromeliaceae, considered a high value of wealth. Most of the species is included on some level of threat according to IUCN, which characterizes the Marambaia Island as an important conservation site for the family. The Island had low similarity with other areas of restinga of Rio de Janeiro and this can be attributed to its geographical location in relation to these areas and the fact it is an island region. Neoregelia cruenta and Tillandsia stricta are the most abundant and are the ones with the highest frequency of occurrence, which is directly related to different reproductive strategies of these species. The specific physiological needs, like dispersion and structural complexity of habitat caused if there were differences in the occupation of phorophytes by epiphytic species. Already aggregated distribution of all species is related to the mechanism of occupation of the environment used by plants and the quality of different substrates provided by the environment and the host tree. In general, the species tend to avoid the sampling units in accordance mainly with the heterogeneity of the habitat but, however, tend to co-exist in phorophytes once occupied the height classes differently. In this study, none of the morphometric parameters of the host tree explained the variations in the parameters of assemblage richness and abundance of bromeliads, indicating that other variables should better explain these relationships. / H?bitats caracter?sticos do litoral brasileiro, as restingas s?o ecossistemas associados ao Dom?nio da Floresta Atl?ntica e caracterizam-se por apresentar condi??es mesoclim?ticas consideradas extremas, al?m de sofrer com intensa a??o antr?pica. Apesar disso, possuem grande diversidade biol?gica, sendo a fam?lia Bromeliaceae uma das mais representativas nestes habitats. Este estudo visou avaliar a composi??o, riqueza e a estrutura da taxocenose de Bromeliaceae em duas ?reas de restinga localizadas na Ilha da Marambaia, Mangaratiba, RJ. Foram estabelecidas 50 parcelas de 100 m2 em cada uma das duas ?reas: a restinga da Praia da Arma??o (RPA) e a restinga da Praia Grande (RPG). Estas parcelas foram alocadas em linhas paralelas ? praia distando 10 m entre si. Em cada parcela foram registradas a riqueza e a abund?ncia de brom?lias terrestres e ep?fitas e mensuradas as caracter?sticas morfom?tricas dos for?fitos, e bem como as distribui??es vertical e horizontal das esp?cies ep?fitas. Foram amostradas 11 esp?cies de brom?lias e tr?s novas ocorr?ncias para a Marambaia, elevando a riqueza desta localidade para 21 esp?cies de Bromeliaceae, considerado um valor alto de riqueza. A maior parte das esp?cies amostradas est? inclu?da em algum n?vel de amea?a segundo a UICN, o que caracteriza a Ilha da Marambaia como um importante s?tio de conserva??o para a fam?lia. A Ilha apresentou baixa similaridade com outras ?reas de restinga do RJ e isto pode ser atribu?do a sua localiza??o geogr?fica em rela??o a estas ?reas e ao fato de se tratar de uma regi?o insular. Neoregelia cruenta e Tillandsia stricta s?o as mais abundantes e s?o as que possuem os maiores valores de freq??ncia de ocorr?ncia, fato que est? diretamente relacionado ?s estrat?gias reprodutivas diferenciadas destas esp?cies. As necessidades fisiol?gicas espec?ficas, forma de dispers?o e a complexidade estrutural do h?bitat fizeram com que houvesse diferen?as na ocupa??o dos for?fitos pelas esp?cies ep?fitas. J? a distribui??o agregada de todas as esp?cies est? relacionada ao mecanismo de ocupa??o do ambiente utilizado pelas plantas e pela qualidade diferenciada dos substratos oferecidos pelo ambiente e pelos for?fitos. De uma forma geral, as esp?cies tendem a se evitar nas unidades amostrais de acordo, principalmente, com a heterogeneidade do h?bitat mas, no entanto, tendem a co-existir nos for?fitos uma vez que ocupam as classes de altura de forma diferenciada. Neste estudo, nenhum dos par?metros morfom?tricos do for?fito explicou as varia??es dos par?metros de riqueza e abund?ncia da taxocenose de Bromeliaceae, indicando que outras vari?veis devem explicar melhor essas rela??es.

The Caatinga biome is probably one of the most threatened in Brazil and the implementation of Conservation Units (CU) represents a measure for protecting its natural resources and biodiversity. The Station Ecological of Serid? (ESEC-Serido) is one of the few CU in the Caatinga of Rio Grande do Norte State (NE Brazil) and interacts with several neighboring communities and settlements. However the ESEC does not integrate environmental perception feedback from the local communities in its management plan. Considering this, the present articles aims at identifying the perceptions and concepts of such communities regarding environmental issues and biodiversity as well as indicate strategies to improve the administration of this CU. In order to achieve these goals, a review of the specialized literature was carried out and a research tool based on Environmental Perception was developed in the form of structured interviews applied to the persons from communities neighboring the ESEC. These interviews were later processed through content analysis. The concepts and perceptions obtained through this analysis show that the people from the environs are aware of the main problems faced by ESEC-Serid?, as well as the strategies to address them / A situa??o do planeta envolve discuss?es sobre perdas da biodiversidade. Pa?ses como o Brasil, um dos maiores em biodiversidade, n?o poderia escapar ? essas discuss?es. Um de seus Biomas, e provavelmente o mais amea?ado ? a Caatinga. Uma das a??es que visa a prote??o de ?reas naturais e da biodiversidade ? a manuten??o de Unidades de Conserva??o (UC s). Uma dessas UC s da Caatinga ? a Esta??o Ecol?gica do Serid? (ESEC Serid?) que, apesar de ter em seu entorno v?rias comunidades que interagem com ela, n?o inclui a percep??o dessas popula??es em sua forma de gest?o. Neste sentido, o objetivo do artigo ? identificar as percep??es e conceitos dessas comunidades sobre a ESEC Serid?, assim como, as estrat?gias devem ser adotadas para sua melhor forma de atua??o. Despite its importance, many mangrove areas have been extensively cleared and converted to other uses. There are few places where communities can retain their traditional uses of mangrove. A good example of conservation of traditional costumes are the fishing communities of the Sustainable Development Reserve (Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustent?vel RDS) Ponta do Tubar?o. The creation of the reserve came from the own population, and the devastation of a mangrove area, which would be destined for activity shrimp, was one of the reasons that led the population to ask authorities the establishment of a legally protected area. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the environmental perception of the fishing communities of RDS Ponta do Tubar?o with respect to the mangroves in a biological, ecological and social perspective as well as evaluate the influence of the reserve in the mangrove conservation and quality of life. To meet objectives of this study was required the appropriation of some method and approaches of ethnosciences and environmental perception. Data were collected through direct observation, and semi-structured interviews. Through content analysis found that the population has a strong dependence on the mangrove ecosystem, as well as provides a good ecological knowledge of ecosystem functions. It was also found that the reservation has a good performance in the conservation of the mangroves; however, need to outline strategies to conciliate both the biological and cultural conservation. / O manguezal ? um ecossistema de grande import?ncia, tanto para manuten??o da biodiversidade marinha, quanto para a subsist?ncia das comunidades que moram no seu entorno. Apesar de sua import?ncia, in?meras ?reas de mangues t?m sido intensamente devastadas e convertidas para outros usos. S?o poucos os lugares em que as comunidades conseguem preservar os usos tradicionais dos manguezais. Um bom exemplo da preserva??o dos costumes tradicionais s?o as comunidades pesqueiras da Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustent?vel Estadual Ponta do Tubar?o, localizado no litoral setentrional do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. A cria??o da reserva partiu da pr?pria popula??o e a devasta??o de uma ?rea de manguezal, ao qual seria destinada ? atividade de carcinicultura, foi um dos motivos que levou a popula??o solicitar ?s autoridades o estabelecimento de uma ?rea legalmente protegida. Desse modo, este trabalho objetivou registrar o valor biol?gico, ecol?gico e social dos manguezais na percep??o dos pescadores, marisqueiras e catadores de caranguejo, bem como avaliar a influ?ncia da reserva na conserva??o do manguezal e qualidade de vida da popula??o. Para atender os objetivos do trabalho fez-se necess?ria a apropria??o de alguns m?todos e abordagens das etnoci?ncias e percep??o ambiental. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de observa??o direta e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Atrav?s da an?lise de conte?do constatou-se que a popula??o apresenta uma forte depend?ncia do ecossistema manguezal, bem como apresenta um bom conhecimento ecol?gico das fun??es do ecossistema. Constatou-se tamb?m que a reserva apresenta uma boa atua??o na conserva??o do manguezal, entretanto, precisa tra?ar estrat?gias, que consiga conciliar a conserva??o biol?gica e cultural.

In the first phase of the research were three separate questionnaires designed to identify the actions, practices and experiences of three sets of audiences: teachers, students and parents from both schools. In the second phase, activities were carried out as educomunicatives class actions involving ride, maps of environmental design and construction of a mural on the school newspaper APAJ. We opted for the participant, making the observation in a previous visit to knowledge of the schools, where they made the first contacts with the administrative team, teachers and students, and then the application of semi-structured questionnaire to teachers, students and parents of the 4th and 5 years of elementary school the morning hours. The results showed the detachment of these actors in the knowledge, participation and involvement with APAJ, caused by the absence of actions and actions involving teaching practices educomunicatives students to interact with the environment, taking as its starting point the living space. / A presente pesquisa objetivou avaliar as potencialidades da Educomunica??o em duas escolas p?blicas relacionadas ? ?rea de Prote??o Ambiental Jenipabu (APAJ) situada no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte/Brasil, com base nas percep??es acerca de pr?ticas educomunicativas sobre o meio ambiente, bem como realizar uma a??o educomunicativa na escola inserida na APAJ. Dentre elas, as ?reas de Prote??o Ambiental (APA, categoria V na classifica??o da IUCN) ? a categoria com menores restri??es ao uso. Essa categoria atrai cr?ticos que afirmam que as APAs nem deveriam ser consideradas APs, e defensores, que afirmam que as APAs pertencem a um ?novo paradigma? em APs, que busca conciliar a prote??o da biodiversidade com o desenvolvimento humano. As APAs abrangem quase um ter?o das APs brasileiras, sendo mais de 60% da ?rea total protegida de biomas como a Mata Atl?ntica, Caatinga, Cerrado e Pampa, al?m de representarem mais de 80% da ?rea protegida marinha. Nesse trabalho n?s buscamos entender os padr?es de cria??o, ocupa??o, din?mica da cobertura do solo e gest?o dessas ?reas. N?s observamos que os n?veis de antropiza??o dentro das APAs s?o proporcionalmente menores que nos biomas, principalmente quando desconsiderada a ?rea das demais UCs e Terras Ind?genas. Mesmo assim, n?s constatamos que cerca de 7 milh?es de pessoas vivem em APAs, e que em 2016, a Amaz?nia era o ?nico bioma em que a cobertura de floresta dentro das APAs era superior a 50%. De acordo com nossas estimativas, desconsiderar as ?reas antropizadas no interior das APAs, da ?rea total coberta por Unidades de Conserva??o no Brasil, faria o pa?s passar de um total de 17,6% de ?rea protegida para 12,8%. Al?m disso, encontramos que apenas 18% das APAs possuem Plano de Manejo e 45% possuem Conselho Gestor. Por fim, n?s recomendamos que seja aberta uma discuss?o sobre a cria??o de mecanismos de apoio ? gest?o especificamente para a categoria APA. / Protected Areas are the main strategy to protected biodiversity. Protected Areas are not equal and vary in their management objectives and level of human occupation. Brazil has 12 protected area's categories. Among those, "Environment Protected Area" (EPA, Category V in IUCN Classification), is the one with least restriction to human activity. This category has many critics, that argue EPAs should not be account as Protected Areas, as has defenders who argue that EPA belong to a ?New Paradigm? of Protected Areas, aimed to reconcile biodiversity conservation and human development. EPAs has special importance because it covers a third of the protected land, and more than 60% on biomes such as Atlantic Forest, Cerrado, Caatinga and Pampa, and more than 80% of all marine protected areas in Brazil. Therefore, understand the implementation, land cover and management patterns is crucial for Brazilian biodiversity conservation. We find lower levels of human activity within EPAs when compared with biome and in areas without protection (protected areas and indigenous areas) within biome. Nonetheless, we found about 7 million people live inside EPA and that in 2016, Amazon biome was the only biome with more than 50% of forest land cover. We find that if we do not account for the area with anthropogenic use inside EPA, the total area covered by protected area in Brazil would go from 17,6% to 12,8%. We also found that only 18% of EPA had a "management plan" and 45% had a "management council". Lastly, we recommend starting a discussion about specific management and support mechanism to the EPA category.

Uma fra??o de amostra de silagem de cada tratamento foi prensada para extra??o do suco e determina??o do pH, do teor de ?cido l?tico, but?rico. Os teores de ?cido l?tico n?o variaram entre os tratamentos. O teor de ?cido but?rico do MCE (0,0252% na MS) diferiu dos tratamentos MBM e MBS que apresentaram valores de 0,0358 e 0,0403% na MS, respectivamente. Todas as silagens apresentaram boa qualidade com bons padr?es de fermenta??o. No segundo experimento avaliou-se o consumo, a produ??o e composi??o do leite de vacas F1 (Holand?s x Gir) alimentadas com silagens oriundas de forragens dos diferentes cons?rcios acima relatados. Para tanto, utilizaram-se cinco vacas em mesmo per?odo de lacta??o, distribu?das em um quadrado latino balanceado (5x5). Os animais receberam as cinco dietas e concentrado comercial. O experimento foi constitu?do de cinco per?odos com dura??o de dez dias cada (sete de adapta??o ?s dietas e tr?s para coleta). Os animais foram mantidos em baias individuais, cobertas, com piso cimentado, contendo comedouros e bebedouros individuais. Foram avaliados o consumo a digestibilidade, a produ??o e a composi??o do leite das vacas. N?o foram observadas varia??es no consumo e na digestibilidade das diferentes silagens pelos animais. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Zootecnia, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2011. / ABSTRACT Two experiments had been conducted to evaluate the productivity and quality of forages produced on intercropping systems - corn, signal grass and various legumes. At first, there has been evaluated the yield, chemical composition and fermentation characteristics of silages of the following treatments: corn in exclusive cultivation (MCE); intercropping corn and signal grass (MB); intercropping corn, signal grass and Calopogonium mucunoides (MBC), intercropping corn, signal grass and Macrotyloma axillare (MBM) and intercropping corn, signal grass and Stylozanthes capitata (MBS). The experimental design was completely randomized. For each type of crop, there have been reaped at random five plots or replications of three linear meters and carried out a separation of the material. The variables evaluated were: dry matter yield per area (PMS/ha); yield of corn?s dry matter per area (corn PMS - kg/ha), crude protein production per unit area (PPB-kg/ha), and yield of total digestible nutrients per unit area (PNDT- kg/ha). There have been differences between the forms of cultivation for the production of dry matter per hectare. The corn in exclusive cultivation (MCE) did not differ from corn and signal grass (MB) and corn, signal grass and Calopogonioum mucunoides (MBC), however, it was higher than corn, signal grass and Macrotyloma axillare (MBM) and corn, signal grass and Stylosantes captata (MBS) intercropping. Material from crop was ensiled when maize grains was in an intermediate position in the "milk line, with dry matter between 28 and 32. Then the material was properly placed and compacted in buckets silos of polyvinyl carbon with a capacity of 12 kg of fresh material; in which were adapted silicone flanges on the covers to allow the release of gas. After filling the buckets they were tightly sealed with adhesive tape to prevent air exchange with the environment. There has been removed a sample of each replicate for the determination of MS, PB, ether extract (EE), lignin, FDN, FDA e NDT. The amount of MS, PB, FDN, FDA, lignin and NDT did not vary among silages from different treatments. The MCE?s amount of butyric acid (0.0252% of MS) differed from the MBM and MBS treatments that had values of 0.0358 and 0.0403% of dry matter, respectively. All silages presented good quality with good standards of fermentation. The second experiment evaluated the milk?s consumption, production and composition of crossbred cows F1 (Holstein x Gir) fed with silages from the different consortia reported above. To this end, there have been used the same five cows in lactation period, distributed in a balanced Latin square (5x5). The animals were fed with the five diets and with commercial concentrate. The experiment consisted of five periods lasting ten days each (seven for adaptation to diets and three for collection). They were kept in individual stalls, covered and with cemented floor, equiped with individual feeders and drinkers There have been evaluated the digestibility, production and composition of cows? milk. There hasn?t been observed variations inn the intake and digestibility of different silage. The production and milk composition did not differ between treatments.

No estudo foram considerados para an?lise multicrit?rio o uso e cobertura do solo, a declividade, a densidade de drenagem, o tamanho de fragmentos florestais, dist?ncia dos corpos d??gua e crit?rios hidrogeol?gicos, que foram analisados atrav?s da metodologia de combina??o linear ponderada. Os crit?rios foram correlacionados com as pol?ticas p?blicas florestal e de prote??o ? biodiversidade propostas pela lei estadual, associadas ? restaura??o ecol?gica, conserva??o e prote??o ? biodiversidade, e produ??o sustent?vel. A utiliza??o de crit?rios hidrogeol?gicos no presente estudo ? uma inova??o em an?lises multicrit?rios para defini??o de ?reas priorit?rias para a conserva??o e recupera??o ambiental. A an?lise multicrit?rio realizada no presente estudo, atrav?s do m?todo de combina??o linear ponderada, permitiu a integra??o de diferentes crit?rios, que em conjunto, podem ajudar na tomada de decis?o de institui??es relacionadas ao ordenamento desse territ?rio. Muitos desses crit?rios se analisados de forma isolada, podem levar a a??es e pol?ticas que n?o correspondem a complexidade da regi?o e consequentemente podem n?o ser t?o efetivas quanto o necess?rio. Constatou-se que a regi?o possui alta sensibilidade ambiental quanto aos recursos h?dricos, por apresentar ?reas com altas declividades e alta densidade de drenagem, distribu?das em todo o territ?rio. Al?m disso, apresenta ?reas com ?guas e pacotes sedimentares superficiais que necessitam de cobertura florestal para manuten??o da estabilidade. Em conjunto, esses fatores indicam baixa capacidade de infiltra??o da ?gua e favorecimento ao escoamento superficial, prejudicando o balan?o h?drico da bacia hidrogr?fica. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Tecnologia, Sa?de e Sociedade, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2016. / The Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Higth Mucuri River presents considerable forest remnants of the Atlantic Forest, and has suffered intense anthropic pressure, mainly by deforestation and fires. This forest conflict can be equated and serve the interests of society through the implementation of efficient public policies. In this work, the objective was to systematize environmental information and correlate them with forest public policies and biodiversity protection. In the study, the use and coverage of soil, declivity, drainage density, size of forest fragments, distance of water bodies and hydrogeological criteria were analyzed using a weighted linear combination methodology. The criteria were correlated with the forest public policies and biodiversity protection proposed by state law, associated with ecological restoration, conservation and protection of biodiversity, and sustainable production. The use of hydrogeological criteria in the present study is an innovation in multicriteria analyzes to define priority areas for conservation and environmental recovery. The multicriteria analysis performed in the present study, using the weighted linear combination method, allowed the integration of different criteria, which together can help in the decision making of institutions related to the planning of that territory. Many of these criteria, if analyzed in isolation, can lead to actions and policies that do not correspond to the complexity of the region and therefore may not be as effective as necessary. It was verified that the region has high environmental sensitivity regarding water resources, since it presents areas with high slopes and high density of drainage, distributed throughout the territory. In addition, it presents areas with water and surface sedimentary packages that need forest cover to maintain stability. Taken together, these factors indicate low water infiltration capacity and favoring surface runoff, damaging the water balance of the watershed. In this way, we conclude that the region has high dependence on native vegetation and, therefore, demands actions that increase the forest cover and sustainable production. Through the implementation of public policies appropriate to the reality of this territory, with full social participation, it will be possible to provide a real reconciliation between the conservation of species, habitats and ecosystem services and economic and social development in one of the most fragile regions of the State of Minas Gerais.
