Att samla en pandemi : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om svenska museers samtidsdokumentation av vardagslivet under coronapandemin / Collecting a pandemic : A qualitative interview study on contemporary collecting in Swedish museums of everyday life during the coronavirus pandemic

This thesis focuses on eight Swedish museums, who collected intangible and tangible memories of how everyday life was affected during the first year of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020-2021. These contemporary collecting projects were conducted by Eskilstuna stadsmuseum, Jönköpings läns museum, Klostret i Ystad, Nordiska museet, Skellefteå museum, Stockholms läns museum, Värmlands museum and Västerbottens museum. Through semi-structured qualitative interviews with the museum professionals responsible for the collecting process, the aim was to collect data on how the projects were organised and which collecting methods that were used. Further, the aim was to discuss and analyse the contemporary collecting projects from the theoretical perspectives of cultural memory studies and participatory memory practices. The results of the study show that the museums started the collecting projects in haste when the pandemic broke out and that the main collecting method being used was questionnaires. Other collecting methods, such as interviews, field studies and collecting of photographs, diaries, social media posts and tangible objects, were used as a complement. The museum’s purpose was to reach out as wide as possible with the collecting projects, to collect memories from different social groups in society. In conclusion, the collected materials, the intangible and tangible memories collected from participating individuals, will together take place in cultural memory side by side with documentations of historical events and be of use for future generations. Memories were collected all over Sweden, from people of different age and gender. The projects would not have been possible to conduct without the voluntary participation of people sharing their memories of how everyday life was affected during the coronavirus pandemic. This is a two years master’s thesis in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies.

STUDENTS PERSPECTIVE ON SHIFTING FROM ON-CAMPUS TO DIGITAL EDUCATION : A qualitative study on the effects of the unexpected change from on-campus to digital education from Malmö university systems development students perspective

Context: The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in many changes in education, and it is reasonable to expect that this change would have a significant effect on students. According to government recommendations, many educational institutions around the world have temporarily switched to online learning methods to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the sudden shift to online learning, imposed on students due to COVID-19 outbreak.Method: We started a systematic mapping study and analyzed the findings thematically. Furthermore, we conducted interviews with Malmö University students, which were then analyzed using the same approach.Results: We identified 23 publications that were grouped into 9 themes based on student reports of different effects of online education. According to the findings, students often experience technical issues when studying online. Many students believe that communication is crucial for a positive online learning experience. Research also shows that online education benefits students by allowing them to be more flexible and improving their self-study habits. The systematic mapping study on the interview showed that the students did not experience any significant challenges related to technical issues. Many students missed the social aspect of online education and experienced challenges such as lack of communication and difficulties to perform academically.Conclusion: The most significant challenges found were communication and academic performance. Students claim they have lost some or all ways of contact with their peers as a result of the transition to online learning, and the majority believe this has made it more difficult for them to perform academically. The findings cannot be generalized outside of higher institutions in Sweden since different countries have different levels of technological infrastructure which is critical for institutions and for providing students with a smooth and reliable online learning experience.

Kondition och Covid-19 : En studie om syreupptagningsförmågas påverkan på risken att drabbas av covid-19

Syfte. Syftet med studien var att undersöka, om det finns något samband mellan beräknad maximal syreupptagningsförmåga (VO2max) och risken att drabbas av infektion orsakad av covid-19 bland seniorer, som har deltagit i GIHs hälsoprojekt de senaste fyra åren. Metod. En retrospektiv longitudinell kohortstudie utfördes för att studera om risken att få covid-19 infektion samvarierade med beräknad absolut och relativt VO2max. Data från hälsoprojekten på GIH under de senaste fyra åren användes som baslinjedata. Data på utfallsmåttet, självrapporterad covid-19 infektion, samlades in vid en uppföljningsundersökning som genomfördes via telefonintervjuer. Studiepopulationen bestod av personer som deltagit i en träningsintervention vid GIH och som vid efterundersökningen var 62 år och äldre. Sambandet mellan beräknad maximal syreupptagning och risk för Covid-19 kontrollerades för valda störfaktorer. Resultat. Av 1200 personer som genomfört baslinjeundersökningen, kontaktades 383 via telefon. Vid uppföljning var antalet män 121 och kvinnor 262 (62-91 år), varav 162 hade hypertoni, 73 hjärt- och kärlsjukdom, 38 hade diabetes, 76 hade eller hade haft cancer och 36 hade astma eller KOL. Därutöver var 7 rökare och 45 hade någon autoimmun sjukdom. Uppföljningstiden var 1,9 (SD: 0,85) år. Av dessa hade 26 testats positivt för covid-19 det senaste året, antingen med PCR- eller antikroppstest. Sammanlagt 56 seniorer hade haft minst 4 symtom som är vanliga vid covid-19 (inklusive de 26 med positivt test). Vi fann en stark trend till högre risk för genomgången covid-19 infektion med hos individer som vid baslinjeundersökningen hade högre beräknad relativ syreupptagning. (OR: 1,07%CI: 0,996 till 1,149), justerat för ålder, kön, hypertoni, hjärt- & kärlsjukdom, diabetes, BMI, och cancer, astma/KOL, rökning, autoimmun sjukdom. Motsvarande värde för absolut syreupptagning (uttryckt som dl/min) var signifikant med OR; 1,17 (95% CI: 1,13 till 1,36). Detta justerat för kön, hypertoni, hjärt- & kärlsjukdom, diabetes, ålder, längd och vikt. Slutsats. Resultatet i studien visar att högre syreupptagningsförmåga vid baslinjemätingen samvarierar med högre risk att ha drabbats av covid-19 under uppföljningsperioden bland denna grupp av seniorer, vilket var något som motsa vår hypotes. Tidigare studier av testad syreupptagningsförmåga innan en covid-19 infektion är få eller saknas helt, och därför behövs mer framtida undersökningar inom området.

Syftet med denna studie är att bidra med mer kunskap om hur rektorer möjliggör för förskollärare att bedriva undervisning under den rådande Coronapandemin. Där vi ville, med hjälp av diskursteorin, tydliggöra vilka innebörder som framträdde i rektorernas tal samt vilka möjligheter och hinder kring undervisning som vi kunde se. Åtta rektorer från tre olika svenska kommuner har deltagit i denna kvalitativa studie där metodansatsen är en variant av diskursanalys med utgångspunkt i diskursteoretiska begrepp. Kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer har använts för datainsamling och en diskursanalys vid analysering av materialet.  Resultatet visar att det inom olika diskurser finns olika subjektspositioner som rektorerna med sitt tal kan aktivera. Där de tre mest framträdande subjektspositionerna vi såg, med sina specifika innebörder var: Organisatören, med dess innebörder av att administrera, personalfördela och vara lösningsorienterad. Stödjaren, med dess innebörder av att vara närvarande och ödmjuk. Ledaren, med dess innebörder av att vara uppdragsansvarig samt delegera. Där de tre positionerna upprätthålls i diskurser, som även visar på olika hinder och möjligheter för undervisningen.  Slutsatser som vi har kunnat dra är att pandemin har påverkat de subjektspositioner som en rektor kunnat ges och själva kunna inta samt att undervisningen under Coronapandemins förlopp åter strävat efter att få en mer framträdande roll, där rektorerna tog sitt ansvar för samt hade fokus på att driva undervisningsuppdraget framåt. Hur Coronapandemin kommer att ha påverkat undervisningens kvalitet är något som vi anser kan undersökas och skapas mer kunskap om då pandemin är slut och genom vidare forskning. / The aim of this study was to contribute with more knowledge about how principals enable preschool teachers to run teaching assignments during the Corona pandemic. We wanted, with the help of the discourse theory, to clarify what meanings appeared through the principals' spoken words and what opportunities and obstacles about teaching that appeared. Eight principals from three different Swedish municipalities have participated in this qualitative study. The method approach is discourse analysis. Qualitative semi-structured interviews have been used for data collection and a discourse analysis when analyzing the material. The results show that within different discourses there are different subject positions that the principals can activate with their speech. The three most prominent subject-positions, with their specific meanings were: the organizer, which means administering, staffing and being solution-oriented. The supporter, which means being present and humble. The leader, which means delegating and being responsible for the missions that the curriculum requires. Where the three positions were maintained in discourses, this showed different teaching obstacles and opportunities. Our conclusions were that the pandemic has affected the subject positions that the principals could be given or take themselves, and that teaching during the pandemic was again sought to have a more prominent role in preschools, where principals took responsibility for and focused on bringing the teaching mission forward. Further research could investigate how much impact the Corona pandemic has actually had on the preschool and teaching assignments.

Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur råd och rekommendationer under covid-19 konstrueras för att få medborgarna att lyda dem. Aktörerna som undersöks är Folkhälsomyndigheten, Vännäs kommun och Älmhults kommun, detta för att få en spridning av aktörer på både nationell och lokal nivå. Metoden som här används är främst den interpersonella metafunktionen där språkhandlingar och modalitet är det centrala, men även teori och perspektiv från Faircloughs tredimensionella modell har använts för att se resultaten från textanalysen ur andra synvinklar. Studiens resultat visar att det främst är deklarativa uppmaningar men även en del direktiva uppmaningar som utgör krävande av varor och tjänster. De deklarativa uppmaningarna är främst utformade genom modala hjälpverb, huvudsatsverb och med modaliteten förpliktelse. Studien visar även att eftersom tilliten i Sverige är hög till myndigheter och experter kan man se uppmaningar som är svaga och medelstarka ändå som mycket uppmanande. Studiens resultat visar även att studiens material från de tre aktörerna bör kunna tolkas som mjuk styrning i och med den stora mängden påståenden kombinerat med uppmaningar.

Studium projevů magnetické rekonexe ve slunečních erupcích / Magnetic reconnection and its manifestations in solar flares and eruptions

Solar flares and eruptions are manifestations of violent releases of magnetic energy from the solar atmosphere. They are powered by magnetic reconnection, a mechanism in which magnetic field lines change their connectivities to reach a lower-energetic state. Theoretical predictions regarding the generalised three-dimensional magnetic reconnection are imposed by the standard flare model in 3D. In this work we present the results of five peer-reviewed publications in which we focused on different predicted aspects of magnetic reconnection in 3D. We analyse evolution and morphology of seven eruptive flares, primarily using observations of the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory. In the first publication, (Lörinčík et al., 2019a), we interpreted variations of velocities of slipping flare kernels using the mapping norm of field line connectivity simulated via the model. In Lörinčík et al. (2019b) we showed that the observed conversion of filament strands to flare loops is a signature of the 'ar-rf' reconnection geometry between erupting flux rope and overlying coronal arcades.
