We have proposed a reflection on what we has been called 'vernacular', which is characterized as an aesthetical dimension of contemporary culture. In Chapter I, we have both gathered information that contribute to the presentation of the concept of 'vernacular', and presented the contexts and conditions that have given way to its production in graphical communication, based on what has been noticed in graphical pieces, brands, typography, advertisements and visual arts. In Chapter II, we have problematized rhetoric in the field of visual communication in order to find out the persuasive aspects of visual language in advertising. In Chapter III, we have analyzed three advertisements with the aim of determining the type of communicative function of the vernacular in advertising messages, and rhetorical-visual arguments between the different message agents. The appropriations of the vernacular in visual communication have been inserted into the culture of reproduction and copy, and they are related both to the simulacrum that characterizes our time, and to the indexation of forms that have been despised or that are allegedly na?ve. We have concluded that the vernacular aesthetics, as visual rhetoric of graphical advertising, is a metaphor of authenticity . This occurs when images, letterings, writings constructed with improbable materials, and native graphical expressions, among others, end up fostering a kind of economy of arguments, since the symbolisms presented by the referents say more and convince better than the conventional iconograms used in advertising communication. / Esta tese objetiva compreender o papel da est?tica vernacular como elemento ret?rico nas mensagens publicit?rias. Prop?e-se uma reflex?o sobre o que chamamos aqui de vernacular, caracterizado como uma dimens?o est?tica da cultura contempor?nea. No Cap?tulo I, reunimos informa??es que colaboram para a apresenta??o do conceito "vernacular" e apresentamos os contextos e as condi??es que deram lugar ? sua produ??o na comunica??o gr?fica, com base no que vem sendo observado em pe?as gr?ficas, marcas, tipografia, an?ncios publicit?rios e nas artes visuais. O Cap?tulo II problematiza a ret?rica no campo da comunica??o visual para chegar aos aspectos persuasivos da linguagem visual em an?ncios publicit?rios. No Cap?tulo III, analisamos tr?s an?ncios, a fim de estabelecer o tipo de fun??o comunicativa do vernacular nas mensagens publicit?rias e os argumentos ret?rico-visuais entre os diferentes agentes das mensagens. As apropria??es do vernacular na comunica??o visual inserem-se na cultura da reprodu??o, da c?pia, e dizem respeito tanto ao simulacro que caracteriza nossos tempos, quanto ? indexa??o de formas desprezadas ou supostamente ing?nuas. The e-books are at the center of these discussions, either as responsible for an impending "death" of printed books or as a messianic figure that will rescue the reading habit, especially among younger people. In order to reflect on these changes from the perspective of graphic design area and based on the materialities of communication as theoretical paradigm, this study aims to compare the main design characteristics of the printed book and the e-book, analyzing how they can lead the reading experience on both types of devices. The objects of analysis are the printed book and the digital devices Kindle and iPad. First, there is a literature review to understand the "culture of the printed book", from the transition of an oral society to the emergence of the printing industry, including the forms of building the codex. In a second step, we make a comparative analysis of the reading guides of three literary works in three different media printed book, Kindle and iPad , in order to understand how the materiality of these media affects the reading experience. Thus, we define a comparison methodology by using not only the characteristics of the printed books materiality, but also the concepts of the digital world to check the suitability of digital books to the materiality of the tablets. For this, we use subjective criteria - to analyze the "reading experience" in different media - and objective criteria - to compare the guide of reading in printed and electronic versions. The results show that the fundamental structures of the printed book influence directly the reading experience in digital media. There is not yet a culture of reading proper to the e-books materiality. In the case of the digital book, there are a number of elements that are native from "printed culture" that are just "adapted" to the digital materiality. / O papel do livro em nossa sociedade est? sendo novamente discutido com o surgimento de novos suportes de leitura e novas formas de ler e de armazenar conte?dos. Os chamados ebooks est?o no centro dessas discuss?es; ora como respons?veis por uma iminente morte dos livros impressos, ora como a figura messi?nica que vai resgatar o h?bito de leitura, principalmente entre os mais jovens. Visando refletir sobre essas transforma??es a partir das perspectivas da ?rea do design gr?fico e tendo como paradigma te?rico a materialidades da comunica??o, este trabalho tem como objetivo principal comparar as caracter?sticas gr?ficas do livro impresso e do e-book, analisando-se como os principais elementos e padr?es gr?ficos desses formatos balizam a experi?ncia de leitura nos dois tipos de suporte. Para isso, ser?o utilizados como objeto de an?lise o livro impresso e os suportes digitais Kindle e iPad. Primeiro, ? feita uma an?lise bibliogr?fica para compreender como se estabeleceu a cultura do livro impresso, desde a passagem de uma sociedade oral at? o surgimento da impress?o de forma industrial, bem como os modos de constru??o do c?dex. Em um segundo momento, realiza-se uma an?lise comparativa dos balizadores de leitura de tr?s obras liter?rias no suporte impresso, no Kindle e no iPad, a fim de se compreender como a materialidade desses suportes afetam a experi?ncia de leitura. Assim, definimos uma metodologia de compara??o utilizando n?o somente caracter?sticas da materialidade dos livros impressos, mas baseando-se tamb?m conceitos do mundo digital para verificar a adequa??o dos livros digitais ? pr?pria materialidade dos tablets. Para isso, utilizamos crit?rios subjetivos para analisar a chamada experi?ncia de leitura nos diferentes suportes, e objetivos para analisar os padr?es balizadores de leitura do livro impresso e do eletr?nico. Os resultados mostram que as estruturas fundamentais do livro impresso influenciam diretamente a experi?ncia da leitura nos suportes digitais. N?o h? ainda uma cultura da leitura pr?pria da materialidade dos ebooks. For this purpose, organ transplants are presented from the concept to the Brazilian panorama of this reality. After this brief presentation and conceptualization, organ trafficking is discussed in many ways such as why the nomenclature is used and the real cases about this thematic. Brazilian laws and other countries that belongs to Mercosul are also presented in order to demonstrate how these countries penalize it or not trafficking organs. Also pursues a juridical and penal organ trafficking analysis, explaining each penal type of law 9.434/97, as well as the theory of well- legal - penal, suggesting the body dignity as the well-legal to be protected. Besides that, human dignity and other fundamental rights are examined and related to the body dignity. Finally, aims to analyze (bio) ethically the offenses presented, relating ethics, bioethics through its principles, freedom and autonomy with body dignity. / A presente disserta??o busca analisar o tr?fico de ?rg?os humanos pelo prisma jur?dico penal e (bio) ?tico, a fim de sugerir a dignidade corporal como bem jur?dico a ser protegido na veda??o deste delito. Thus, it was first presented an overview of the general theory of precautionary detention, in order to determine the elements on its structure and function in criminal proceedings Brazil. So initially analyzed the concept and subject of the arrest precaution, your requirement and foundation, followed by an appreciation of the principles applicable to the subject, on the basis of precautionary imprisonment for criminal proceedings and the effects that may arise from its application. In addition, we also analyzed the species of alternative protective measures, a study that addressed the historical and dogmatic, followed by an assessment of the bail and their legal status. This triad has modified the relationship with people, with physical places and cyberspace. Journalism has also been impacted in regard to content production and consumption, and some initiatives already seek to take advantage of the potentialities inherent to the SBL, such as the better understanding of the context of facts and users and the possibility of offering targeted content. Among the concepts and authors studied stand out: the space concepts (Certeau and Heidegger), cyberspace (Lemos and Santaella), online journalism (Canavilhas and Pal?cios) and geolocation (Brimicombe and Li), examined under the definitions offered by the Medium Theory (Innis, McLuhan and Meyrowitz), aiming to understand their background and history to the present day and, based on case studies, to verify what is being done in journalism based on location at the present time and to examine their current and future potential. / Os servi?os baseados em localiza??o (SBL) representam a associa??o de tecnologias de comunica??o m?vel, internet e sistemas de informa??o geogr?fica. Scientific news needs to be didactic, simplified and understandable to all audiences. The health agendas on television, needs to be educational and attractive enough to keep the viewers attentive to the the information disseminated. To understand the strategies used by TV show Bem Estar of the Rede Globo to motivate the public was performed a Content Analysis according to the method of Laurence Bardin. It were analyzed 23 editions of the TV show and 619 interactive posts from the public relating to these editions. In order to understand the personal motivations of viewers, a questionnaire was applied to 13 viewers that interacted with the TV show Bem Estar between August 5 and September 4, 2015, and had been connected to interaction channel of the program by your profile in Facebook social network. In the seeking of elements present in the content of the Program Bem Estar that would have motivated the viewer to attend and participate, it was found that the interaction depends on the second screen to be performed. It has been found that the TV show aims to guide the public about how to stay healthy, and that the themes addressed represent the main motive for mobilizing the audience. / O Jornalismo Cient?fico de Sa?de deve ser abrangente e oferecer as informa??es necess?rias para que um indiv?duo saiba como atingir o completo estado de bem-estar: f?sico, psicol?gico e social. As not?cias cient?ficas precisam ser did?ticas, simplificadas e compreens?veis para todos os p?blicos. As pautas de sa?de, na televis?o, precisam ser educativas e atrativas o suficiente para manter o telespectador atento ?s informa??es veiculadas. Para compreender as estrat?gias utilizadas pelo programa televisivo Bem Estar da Rede Globo para motivar o p?blico, realizou-se uma An?lise de Conte?do de acordo com o m?todo de Laurence Bardin. Foram analisadas 23 edi??es televisivas e 619 mensagens interativas do p?blico, referentes a essas edi??es. Para compreender as motiva??es pessoais dos usu?rios, foi aplicado um question?rio em 13 telespectadores que interagiram com o programa Bem Estar entre 5 de agosto e 4 de setembro de 2015, e haviam se conectado ao canal de intera??o do programa atrav?s de seu perfil na rede social Facebook. Na busca de elementos presentes no conte?do do Programa Bem Estar que motivassem o telespectador a assistir e participar, verificou-se que a intera??o depende da segunda tela para ser efetivada. Constatou-se que o programa pretende orientar o p?blico sobre como se manter saud?vel, e que as tem?ticas abordadas representam o principal motivo para mobiliza??o da audi?ncia.

From 1905, began publishing his work on the topic in the Bahia Institute magazine until 1923, the year he died. This period did not provide a favorable setting for the one who chose to study about the black in Brazil, since the discourses on racial inferiority, still had acceptance by national intellectuals. Thus, this thesis aims to understand the positioning of this author in combating scientific racism of the time and his activism in development of a national identity and, above all, Bahia, which included African descent as a fundamental element. In addition, we seek to demonstrate the main counterpoints between words that Bahian author about the racial question and the doctor Maranh?o Nina Rodrigues (1862-1906), who was considered one of the leading scholars of scientific racism in the country. Both have focused on common themes, such as the issue of slave resistance, religion and culture of African origin; developing different interpretations. Thus, we seek to also examine the extent to which Manuel Querino sought to answer his contemporary medical school. / Baiano, nascido em Santo Amaro da Purifica??o, formado em desenho pela Academia de Belas Artes, onde lecionou, e s?cio fundador do Instituto Geogr?fico e Hist?rico da Bahia, Manuel Querino (1851-1923) dedicou parte de sua carreira ? pesquisa e ? contribui??o do africano na forma??o nacional e baiana. A partir de 1905, come?ou a publicar seus trabalhos sobre o tema na revista do IGHB at? 1923, ano em que faleceu. Esse per?odo n?o oferecia um cen?rio favor?vel para aquele que escolhesse estudar acerca do negro no Brasil, j? que os discursos sobre a inferioridade racial, ainda eram aceitos por parte dos intelectuais nacionais. Dessa maneira, nessa disserta??o buscamos compreender o posicionamento desse autor no combate ao racismo cient?fico da ?poca, bem como sua milit?ncia em evidenciar uma identidade nacional e, sobretudo, baiana, que inclu?sse o afrodescendente como elemento fundamental. Al?m disso, procuramos demonstrar os principais contrapontos entre o discurso desse autor baiano a respeito da quest?o racial e o do m?dico maranhense Nina Rodrigues (1862-1906), que foi considerado um dos principais doutrinadores do racismo cient?fico no pa?s. To achieve this objective, female prisoners by the involvement with drug trafficking were interviewed in a women's prison in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The interviews were conducted in order to know the social, economic and family background of these women; to investigate their motivations for joining in the activity; to understand the meanings given by them to the prison situation; to know the mechanisms of exclusion that act on them; to understand the violence suffered by them and to investigate the protagonism during their life histories. For the analysis of the interviews was used the Critical Discourse Analysis, which aims to question how certain discourse structures are used in the reproduction and in the defense of social domination and power of the hegemonic social groups (Van Dijk, 2005). From this research were developed two empirical articles. The first of them discusses the way which the social structure is reflected in the trajectories of these women. Therefore, we discuss the various forms of violence which affect mainly the poorest social groups, as well as the social rights constitutionally guaranteed such as education and work, often overlooked to this population. The second article reflects the female crime, highlighting the power of decision and the protagonism of incarcerated women. Theoretical discussions at this time, approach the way women are constantly victimized within the criminological literature as well as the agency existent in the choices of these women, including in the case of transgressive choices. Finally, the article deals with the dialectic existent between subject and social structure, emphasizing that the subject is, at the same time, product and producer of their reality. The involvement of women in crime is a complex phenomenon that needs studies to contemplate, especially from the gender lens, and that look for to emphasize the protagonism and the agency of these women. This work enabled us to move forward in these studies. The challenge was to build a way of looking at the female criminality joining the reflections of the two articles, in other words, looking for consider simultaneously the social context and the individual protagonism. / Esta disserta??o discute o envolvimento de mulheres com a criminalidade. Para atingir este objetivo, foram entrevistadas mulheres presas pelo envolvimento com o tr?fico de drogas em uma penitenci?ria feminina no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. As entrevistas foram conduzidas no sentido de conhecer o contexto social, econ?mico e familiar destas mulheres; investigar suas motiva??es para o ingresso na atividade; entender os significados dados por elas ? situa??o de encarceramento; compreender os mecanismos de exclus?o que atuam sobre elas; conhecer as viol?ncias sofridas por elas e investigar o protagonismo durante suas trajet?rias de vida. Para a an?lise das entrevistas foi utilizada a An?lise Cr?tica do Discurso, que visa questionar o modo como determinadas estruturas do discurso s?o utilizadas na reprodu??o e na contesta??o da domina??o social e do poder dos grupos sociais hegem?nicos (Van Dijk, 2005). A partir desta pesquisa foram elaborados dois artigos emp?ricos. O primeiro deles discute a forma com que a estrutura social se reflete nas trajet?rias destas mulheres. Para tanto, discutimos as diversas formas de viol?ncia que atingem especialmente os grupos sociais mais pobres, bem como as quest?es que tangem os direitos sociais constitucionalmente garantidos como educa??o e trabalho, frequentemente negligenciados a esta popula??o. O segundo artigo reflete sobre a criminalidade feminina, dando destaque ao poder de decis?o e ao protagonismo das mulheres encarceradas. As discuss?es te?ricas, neste momento, abordam a forma com que a mulher ? constantemente vitimizada dentro da literatura criminol?gica, bem como a ag?ncia existente nas suas escolhas, inclusive em se tratando de escolhas transgressoras. E, por fim, trata da dial?tica existente entre sujeito e estrutura social, enfatizando que o sujeito ?, ao mesmo tempo, produto e produtor da sua realidade. O envolvimento de mulheres com a criminalidade ? um fen?meno complexo, que carece de estudos que o contemplem, especialmente a partir das lentes de g?nero, e que busquem enfatizar o protagonismo e a ag?ncia destas mulheres. Esta disserta??o possibilitou-nos avan?ar estes estudos. O grande desafio foi construir uma forma de olhar para a criminalidade feminina unindo as reflex?es dos dois artigos, ou seja, buscando considerar simultaneamente o contexto social e o protagonismo individual.

It was they who domesticated the guarana. The introduction of the technological innovations applied to the guaran? crop in the municipality of Mau?s occurred from 1999, due to the low productive performance of traditional plantations and the attack of pests and diseases that affected the plants. The seedlings until then harvested in the forests or produced in artisanal nurseries, are no longer recommended. Clonal cultivars, along with other technical practices, have become the only method of management recommended by the technicians. This research identified the traditional aspects of guaran? culture in the municipality of Mau?s that remain unchanged, those that are in disuse and which technological innovations have been implemented. Information collection was carried out among Mau?s guaran? producers living in the Mau?s-A?u rivers and their tributaries, Apocuitaua-Miri, Urupadi, Paric? and Marau, to EMBRAPA, IDAM, SEPROR, AMBEV technicians and 1st and 3rd grade students Series of the agricultural technical course of the Federal Institute of Amazonas, Mau?s campus. The impact of this work is to demonstrate that technological innovations can not eliminate traditional practices and that these should be protected, being vital for the preservation of the plant and the guaran? culture in the municipality of Mau?s. / O guaranazeiro (Paullinia cupana variedade sorbilis) ? uma esp?cie amaz?nica que inicialmente foi cultivada pelos antigos ?ndios mau?s. Foram eles que domesticaram o guaran?. A introdu??o das inova??es tecnol?gicas aplicadas ? cultura do guaran? no munic?pio de Mau?s ocorreu a partir do ano de 1999, devido ao baixo desempenho produtivo dos plantios tradicionais e o ataque de pragas e doen?as que acometeram as plantas. As mudas at? ent?o colhidas nas matas ou produzidas em viveiros artesanais, deixaram de ser recomendadas. Os cultivares clonais, juntamente com as demais pr?ticas tecnificadas tornaram-se o ?nico m?todo de manejo recomendado pelos t?cnicos. Esta pesquisa identificou aspectos do tradicionalismo da cultura do guaran? do munic?pio de Mau?s que ainda permanecem inalterados, os que est?o em desuso e as inova??es tecnol?gicas que foram adotadas A coleta de dados foi realizada junto a produtores de guaran? de Mau?s residentes nos rios Mau?s-A?u e seus afluentes, Apocuitaua-Miri, Urupadi, Paric? e Marau, aos t?cnicos da EMBRAPA, IDAM, SEPROR, AMBEV e alunos da 1? s?rie e 3? s?rie do curso t?cnico em agropecu?ria do Instituto Federal do Amazonas, campus Mau?s. O impacto deste trabalho est? em demonstrar que as inova??es tecnol?gicas n?o podem eliminar as pr?ticas tradicionais e que estas devem ser protegidas, sendo vitais para a preserva??o da planta e para a cultura do guaran? no munic?pio de Mau?s.

Memoria para optar al t?tulo de Dise?ador Gr?fico / El siguiente proyecto es de car?cter profesional. Consiste en la realizaci?n de un videojuego que sirva para ense?ar a la vez que divierta, es decir, con t?cnicas de Gamification enfocado a ni?os entre 10 y 12 a?os. El videojuego se trata sobre Energ?as Renovables No Convencionales y su prop?sito es ense?ar mediante la interacci?n sobre el funcionamiento de estas, de c?mo es que se produce la energ?a el?ctrica por estos medios y lo beneficioso que pueden ser para el medio ambiente. Se investig? sobre Dise?o de Videojuegos partiendo por sus componentes esenciales y las distintas perspectivas para elaborar uno. Luego se desarroll? cada energ?a comenzando con la definici?n de los contenidos a tratar y c?mo manejarlos, con esto se crearon las mec?nicas de juego y cada uno de los 4 niveles donde se desarrolla la narrativa del desaf?o que se plantea. A la vez se construy? la historia que da contexto para terminar en la elaboraci?n de un Mockup que recoge los atributos esenciales del videojuego.
