Jaunosios – senosios kartų katalikiškosios srovės politikų konfliktai tarpukario Lietuvoje / Catholic society elder and younger generations politicians conflict in a period between two World wars in Lithuania

Račkauskas, Tadas 16 August 2007 (has links)
Darbe analizuojamas tarpukario Lietuvos, t.y., I respublikos katalikiškosios visuomenės senosios - jaunosios kartų visuomenininkų bei politikų konfliktas, kuris atspindėjo to meto lietuvių visuomenės politinio brendimo evoliuciją. IV-ojo dešimtmečio pradžioje, baigę Vakarų Europos universitetus į Lietuvą grįžo nauja katalikų intelektualų banga. Pastarieji remdamiesi modernia Vakarų tradicija svarstė Lietuvos santvarkos tobulinimo projektus. A. Smetonos autoritarizmo metais nesant galimybių aktyviai veikti politinėje opozicijoje, pastarieji pradėjo Lietuvos modernizacijos planus skelbdami kultūros ir viešojo gyvenimo lituanizaciją. Representation of Black African women's bodies in the soap opera, Generations.

Thabethe, Funeka E. January 2008 (has links)
Feminists have always taken an interest in the manner in which the media represents women. This is due to the fact that the media is always accused of representing women in an unfavourable manner. If not under-represented, women are objectified or used to perpetuate negative stereotypes about women in general. Research demonstrates that the media has moved from under-representation of women. However, equal representation to men or overrepresentation of women does not necessarily mean correct representation. This dissertation is based on the soapi opera Generations, a soapie where female characters outnumber male characters. The purpose of this dissertation is to look at the manner in which black African women characters' bodies are represented. The women characters' bodies have been studied as social constructions with an underlying message. Foucault's ideas of subjectivity were employed to look at the unlimited possibilities as well as limitations of the body. Subjectivity when looking at bodies have been analysed through the flexibility of bodies to be changed through discipline, body gestures as well as adornment with jewellery and other accessories. Moreover, the underlying culture behind the various constructions was studied. The findings were that in the soapi opera Generations, the representation of women characters' bodies was highly influenced by western culture. The choice of a character's body size, hair texture and complexion is mainly that which is defined as beautiful in western culture. / Thesis (M.A.)-University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, 2008.

Sortie d'une temporalité suspendue : entre le parental et le fraternel : le sujet en quête des repères oedipiens / Escape from a suspended temporality : between parents and siblings : subject searching for the oedipal references

Dubrovskaya, Anna 14 June 2014 (has links)
The current social link mutation raises multiple issues about its impact on the subjectivity processes. Considering this we studied identity’s construction of children and teenagers, and in particular oedipal problematic and connected questions: identifications, oedipal promise and temporality. Using projective tests (drawings and « Pattenoire Test ») these processeswere investigated among 5-15 years old French children. Peer figure appeared in our results as a main identification reference and relationship with parents keeps archaic pre-oedipal nature. This horizontal link complicates the access to the difference between the generations and to the psychical temporality as well. Thus Oedipus complex « bug » troubles the development of the «transitional» capacity which gives access to the creativity. Thisphenomenon is especially evident at the teenage, when subject has now to seek for new arrangements to get out of the temporality suspended to the relationship with parents in the imaginary register.

Pinheiro, Vanessa Neves Riambau January 2011 (has links)
This study traces a historical and literary journey of the generations before Salazarism and the repercussions of that regime in Portugal and Angola, based on the analysis of two books: O jardim sem limites (The Garden without Limits, 1995) by Portuguese writer Lidia Jorge, and Predadores (Predators, 2008) by Angolan writer Artur Pestana (also known as Pepetela). The first author shows us characters of different ages misplaced in their own country, but for different reasons: the old-timers who don’t recognize themselves in the new democratic, though conservative, Portugal; and the young people who also don’t relate to this place whose recent past they ignore. On the other hand the Luso-African writer book reports a period from 1974 (immediately after the fall of the New State and a year before independence) until 2004, three years after the civil war that followed the Liberation War. So, we have two alternating generations, the pre-74’s (fighters for freedom in Angola and who didn’t become involved with politics and its subsequent outcome) and the sons of war (all alienated about the social and political context in which they live). It seems valid to compare the relationships between these generations and to see how their representation occurs in Portugal and Angola (countries with antagonistic but symbiotically related history). To reach the conclusions of this study, we revisited History to touch the core of the current problem, i.e., deconolonization. We based our study mainly on the concepts formulated from historical, postcolonial and philosophical theories. Assuming that the corpus is distinct, we based our analysis of the Portuguese book on the studies of Portuguese thinkers as Teixeira de Pascoaes, Eduardo Lourenço, and José Gil as well as philosophers like Deleuze. On the other hand, to analyze the representation of identity issues in Angola we refer to the works of Anderson, Hobsbaw Hall and Bhaba. The commonalities between both books are developed from authors like Lipovetsky.

Salvador

Contribution à la compréhension du phénomène Génération Y en entreprise : étude exploratoire du processus de socialisation organisationnelle des jeunes diplômés inscrits dans un graduate programme / Contribution to the Understanding of the “Generation Y” Phenomenon in Organizations : an Exploratory Study of the Process of Organizational Socialization of Young Graduates Enrolled in a Graduate Program

Kleber, Aurélie 11 December 2017 (has links)
In management, the research on the Generation Y’s behaviors at work is criticized. Yet the questions of cohabitation and generational renewal are the subject of numerous writings in the press. If the search for a Y identity as a circumscribed entity seems unsuccessful, the study of the organizational socialization of a cohort based on organizational input at a similar age seems relevant to understand the meaning of the phenomenon. Moreover, in a context of attraction and retention of the best young graduates with potential, big corporations progressively design graduate programs. The qualitative longitudinal study carried out within the TRANSLOG company combines several research methods, enabling the enrichment of the academic literature at two levels. At the individual level, the analysis of 60 longitudinal interviews with 17 trainees revealed the process of socialization of these graduates over 24 months in various role transitions. At the organizational level, the organizational practices and tactics of socialization implemented by the company and the socializing agents are exposed, as well as the strengths and dysfunctions of the practices used. A reading of the “Generation Y” phenomenon is proposed. Our results show that the organizational cohort (in the company) and the societal cohort (inside and outside the company) are two complementary views focused on generational identity, which have to be read in a dual way in order to grasp its mechanisms. Managerial and organizational recommendations are suggested for TRANSLOG and for organizations with similar issues.

The other side of the mountain : initiatives of a younger Pentecostal generation

Gorman, Roger Dale 11 1900 (has links)
Pentecostal churches are growing significantly across the world, but occasionally theological tensions arise within Pentecostal churches, sometimes related to intergenerational differences, which hinder both quantitative and qualitative growth. This study analyses the dynamics of a particular generation gap in one South African Pentecostal congregation. It explores the initiatives of a cell group from the younger generation, aimed at enhancing the credibility and effectiveness of the congregation's witness. The cell group initiatives highlighted issues of leadership, biblical hermeneutics, and the need for a theological re-assessment of local traditions that had always acted as identity markers for the older generation. This study contends that the conflict between a more collectivist older generation and a more individualist younger generation can be bridged through well prepared conflict resolution processes led by credible intervention teams and through some form of accommodation of the views and desires of both generations. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / D.Th.

The shelter of children and adolescents is one of the forms of institutional care foreseen in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA), Law 8.069/90 (updated by Law 12,010 of 2009) as a measure of exceptional and temporary protection in cases of threat or violation of rights of children and adolescents, including sexual abuse cases against children and adolescents. The occurrence of this violence can lead, in some cases, to the removal of the victim from his/her family and community, through the application of legal measures to protect the victim that then begins to live in an institutional shelter. But, paradoxically, the measure of protection that is supposed to be exceptional and temporary, has been configured as the modality of protection used most often by Brazilian society, and the length of stay in the shelters tends to be long. Thus, this research aims to analyze the process of institutionalization and deinstitutionalization through the perspective of adolescents victims of sexual abuse. We sought to understand the social "world", the everyday life and the social and emotional bonds of intern teenagers, and the social representations that those who leave (re) build on leaving the shelter after (long) years of institutionalization, signaling to challenges encountered in the after-shelter life. To understand this dimension we favor a qualitative exploratory research methodology. The institution studied was the NGO Lar Flor de Lis, Salvador / BA, which shelters about 120 children and adolescents, male and female. Most sheltered children and adolescents are Afro-Brazilian, have low education, and are from the outskirts of Salvador metropolitan area and municipalities of the state of Bahia. The empirical cut favored five teenage female victims of sexual abuse. It was found that social representations about the shelter are experienced ambiguously, being perceived as a place of support, protection, but also of imprisonment. Regarding their experience at the institution, it was observed that the shelter tends to be seen by teenagers as a double punishment, they feel wronged by the separation from the family and community, and by the impunity of the perpetrator. It can be noticed in the sexual abuse cases analyzed in this research that there is a tendency toward idealizing a happy, normal, family, thus disguising the reality of the socio-affective family experienced by these, and the denial of the relations of violence and "social protection.
